Had a wonderful lunch! The lunch menu included a pomodori soup, delicious freshly sliced ​​country bread with homemade salmon salad, and a croquette on another delicious roll. You could choose between white and brown country bread. With a beautiful view of the Poel vd Westeinderplassen lake. The whole atmosphere and decor felt very cozy. A truly beautiful location. Tonight we celebrated our company outing at Joseph aan de Poel. I can only say that it was fantastically organised, perfect down to the last detail. My compliments, greetings from b.de boer enterprises.

I just finished the Beef Carpaccio Salad, and I actually came here especially for this dish. It’s my first time visiting this restaurant, even though I’ve had it on my wish list for quite a while. The location and view are wonderful, and the service was excellent. I made a quick decision to order the salad (which was slightly different from the menu) along with tap water, and the lovely waitress kindly checked with the chef to make sure I could have it—really appreciated! As a big fan of beef carpaccio, I’d love to share a few small suggestions to make this dish even better: 1. Pickled onions – I’d recommend leaving them out. The salad already has quite a bit of tanginess from the pickled and fresh cherry tomatoes. The extra sourness from the onions slightly overpowers the delicate harmony of the beef and fresh ingredients. 2. Parmesan cheese – A bit more would be great! It really enhances the beef’s flavor. By the way, I truly appreciate the generous portion of beef fillet slices—very satisfying! 3. Pine nuts – A few tasted a bit bitter, which can happen when they’ve been stored for a long time. You might consider replacing them with broad beans. They’re more stable in flavor, pair beautifully with the tender beef, and add a nice texture. Plus, they’re even more affordable! Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant and this dish, and I’m looking forward to coming back to try more items from the menu. Thank you for a lovely experience! ps: this salad is little bit more expensive comparing to other restaurants.

Cozy place to eat, in the summer you can sit by the water.

We had a few drinks and a bite to eat. The atmosphere was great, the service was good, the nachos were mediocre, and the drinks were small and overpriced.

Amazing view, delicious food, and super friendly staff

There were some rather uncouth people around us, so to speak, which didn't improve the atmosphere. We grabbed an empty table, which was quite dirty, and asked if it could be cleaned. The answer was yes, but it didn't happen. The benches were covered in dog hair. I have a dog myself, but that was just disgusting, a lot of hair. I suggest not allowing that. If you need to eat, fine, but otherwise, I recommend skipping this place.

We definitely enjoyed it! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely! We were upgraded to a more comfortable table with a beautiful view of the water! The service was attentive and friendly! We'll be back soon.

Located in a neighborhood but on the lake. Beautiful views of rowers and other houses/boats. Feels like a lake town. Food is excellent, didn't expect to get a whole sole but came out perfect. Bones easily come of and the sole was crisp. Highly recommend going

Dear reader, If you're looking for a restaurant with good food and friendly, respectful service, this isn't the place for you. We've been going here for years, but unfortunately, the quality of the food is increasingly disappointing. The food often doesn't taste fresh anymore; it feels like it's been sitting around or cooked for a while. We once sent a dessert back and received an apology. We kept coming back because of the pleasant atmosphere and the beautiful terrace. Today (Sunday evening, August 10th), unfortunately, that was also disappointing. We won't be going back for a while. It was busy, and they forgot part of our order—that happens. We repeatedly mentioned that we were missing something. Finally, an unfriendly waitress brought a modified version of our dish and told us that "it had been ready for a while." When we pointed out that it wasn't quite what we wanted, she loudly announced, on a crowded terrace, that "this is what they have and that's how they're serving it." We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. We decided to leave almost immediately. When we called her to ask for the bill, she looked us straight in the eye and then walked right past us. Her behavior was also noticed by the surrounding tables. This didn't give us a good feeling. We eventually went inside to pay ourselves, skipping dessert and coffee. If you're looking for a restaurant with good food and friendly service, this isn't the place for you. It's worth mentioning that the other staff here are always friendly. However, because of this woman's behavior, we'll be going elsewhere from now on.

Last month I dined at Joseph aan de Poel in Aalsmeer. The location is beautiful – you're right on the water, and in good weather, the view is definitely a plus. The interior is stylish and modern, and the restaurant clearly exudes ambition. The service was friendly, but not always helpful. We had to wait quite a while for a simple bottle of water and a glass of wine, and when we asked for the dessert menu after dinner, it didn't arrive, so we simply asked for the bill and went to get some ice cream. That slowed the pace of the evening down a bit. The food was good, but not particularly memorable. The presentation of the dishes was well-presented. The portions were also generous. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience, but not one I'll remember for long either. A beautiful location, reasonable quality, but still some room for improvement in terms of service and refinement. I would return for drinks by the water, but I don't think I'll return for dinner anytime soon.

We had a fantastic host for lunch last Saturday. We ate with a friend and my daughter at a cozy round table by the water. It was nice to have a chat and they cared for us. The food was good! A little tip: my daughter had the children's menu, which includes ice cream. It would have been nicer if it were a scoop of ice cream with a wafer and a sprinkle instead of a treasure chest on a plate (you can also get that at the snack bar). Otherwise, it was fantastic, we'll definitely be back!

Beautiful location. The food is quite expensive, but it's very tasty and certainly sufficient. We had a delicious lunch. The terrace is great. We did have to wait 15 minutes for sparkling water because the computer was malfunctioning. Those kinds of arguments make me itch. But oh well. The food is delicious, and if there's no malfunction, it will definitely be faster.

We often came here, because of the good location. But they are so unfriendly to customers!! Very bad service! Too bad, there were often, for us the last time, there are places in Aalsmeer where it is much better! After the above review we had contacted the restaurant with an apology. Completely fine and I thought yesterday, I have not made a reservation and first walk inside to ask if there is still a place to have lunch. Under the guise, I often came here and let's try it again. Friendly girl in the bar shows us a table and indicates that it is still possible to have lunch. We sit down at a table and then another waitress comes to our table and says, have you made a reservation. We say no but the lady inside indicated that we could still sit at this table. Yes! But you have to make a reservation and then we tell her that we know that, but that this was a spontaneous action and that we asked nicely inside and did not just sit at a table. Then she repeated that we should have made a reservation, but with the grace of God she allowed us to stay... we felt really uncomfortable. Just ordered a cup of tea, skipped lunch, because we didn't feel welcome at all. What happened to the once so hospitable Joseph a/d Poel. What a shame!!

Delicious food. As a starter I ate the Gyoza's chicken which tasted good. After this I ordered the Seabass fillet. This was a generous portion and also very tasty. I topped off the evening with a delicious Brownie. The chocolate flowed out like syrupy magma. A pleasure to eat! The staff was also very friendly and the atmosphere was good. Definitely recommended.

Wij hebben beide de Caesar salade besteld. De prijs/ kwaliteit was niet in verhouding. De salade moest 24.50 euro kosten. Door dit bedrag hadden wij hoge verwachtingen gekregen, maar helaas was het een zeer simpele salade met weinig fantasie bereid. Vors aan de prijs maar geen smaak. Er zat niet eens parmezaanse kaas in de salade. Ook de ansjovis ontbrak. De croutons waren groot en droog, ze bleven in onze keel hangen. Echt zonde van ons geld!!!

Unexpectedly discovered and very enthusiastic!! What a nice location on the water. Two evenings enjoyed on the terrace with nice service, beautiful view, but above all delicious food. Gluten-free is well taken into account with cross-contamination and plenty of options. The only pity is, no gluten-free fries (maybe a separate fryer!?🙏) but fine alternatives.

Geweldige avond gehad op het terras, wat een toplocatie!! Bediening was erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk, met name Marlotte en Lisanne zijn zeker een aanwinst voor deze zaak. En oja, het eten was heerlijk.

Wow what a location. The tuna steak, the steak steaks, and the burgers are great. Parking is a bit of a challenge as this is on the water. Dessert sampler was also excellent.

Remove 1 table from the sofa and people who come with 2 people will have more privacy. I have now become very annoyed with the people sitting right next to me.

Very dark inside, service ladies very friendly, manager (I think) not very friendly and short fuse. Tournedos medium turned out to be well done and weighed barely 100 grams. Satay dry, a bowl of vegetables as a side dish was nothing more than a dish with 5 pieces of vegetables for 6 euros. Location is beautiful in nice weather. We were warned that many cars are being broken into, so don't leave any valuables behind. It seems like a small effort to turn it into a guarded parking lot? Prices are quite high, so that should be possible. It was our first and last time here. There are better places in the area where you get much more value for your money.

Went here to celebrate my partners birthday, everything was just amazing, the food, the service and the atmosphere as for the Cheesecake well sp far it's the best I've had in Holland, so will be back again 😋

Terrace cozy. Delicious frozen Martini P. Cocktail. Fish and chips surprisingly tasty due to the use of a different type of fish. Oysters: tasty, but enjoyment was somewhat spoiled by a large amount of vinegar in the shell. Normally you get vinegrette on the side. Also some shell pieces mixed in, so grit your teeth...

A summer Sunday evening with friends for dinner at Joseph aan de Poel, attractive location, friendly and helpful service. The dishes look and taste good, the salmon was on the salty side and the rack of lamb was tasty but a bit 'woolly'. The tongue a little too well done. The starters were very ok, the watermelon in particular was surprising and original. Dessert equally good. The price-quality ratio is somewhat out of balance at €80 per person.

Sat here last Monday. Choice of various tables in/out of the sun, around 12.30 pm. Good, nice service. Food was good. Steak could have been a little bigger. Toast with steak tartare was thin crostini, but too hard for me to eat. Still worth repeating in nice weather/

Unfriendly atmosphere, poor price-quality ratio for lunch.

Gisteravond heb ik hier voor het eerst gegeten met 3 vriendinnen. Allereerst wil ik zeggen dat de lokatie, de inrichting en bediening prima was! Het eten daarentegen was onder de maat zeker voor wat je moet betalen. Allereerst de Aperol Spritz: geserveerd in een relatief klein glas met veel ijsblokjes en dat voor 10 euro. We hadden 3 voorgerechten 'to share'. 2 waren prima alleen de watermeloen met geitenkaasmousse was zeer karig en weinig. 6 kleine stukjes meloen met weinig mousse en dat voor 15 euro 2 van ons hadden mosselen besteld, deze waren nogal klein. Er werd een klein bakje frites en salade (voor 2 personen) bij geserveerd. De sla was karig, 3 cherrytomaten en verder niks. Een vriendin had een burger die ze ook niet fantastisch vond. Voor 50 euro pp mag je een betere kwaliteit verwachten. Voor ons een eenmalig bezoek

We really enjoy having lunch here! Especially when the weather is nice, you can sit by the water. The Joseph's special is recommended. Dining is also fine, but pricey. I have also had ice-cold carpaccio several times, which still seemed half frozen. Furthermore, really great and always friendly help!

When we come here we take the Côte de Boeuf Grain Fed. The meat is of a different quality than we are used to, I would actually give this 3 stars, but because it is well dressed with some vegetables and mashed potatoes and chimmichurri, I still give the whole 4 stars. It is a beautiful restaurant with nice seating areas outside on the terrace and inside. Staff is friendly but was not visibly present on a regular basis, this was also the case earlier when we were there. Hence the 3 stars.

€78 eu voor een lunch voor 2 p. Broodje burrata zag er mooi uit, de zelfgemaakte pesto is heerlijk maar bij carpaccio ofzo... bij burrata mis ik de goede extra vierge olijfolie. De Eveleens paling, top van smaak maar voor €21,50 TE karig, de aioli een complete aanfluiting.. hamburgersaus ofzo. Wij gaan voor dit geld niet terug
