We had a wonderful meal in the conservatory, which was nicely warm, but our feet were cold. But the food, delicious wine, and friendly service more than made up for it!

The food, appetizers, and main courses were delicious. We brought my brother and his wife, and they enjoyed it just as much as we did. The service was excellent, nothing to complain about, always pleasant. You create the atmosphere yourself, of course, and it was pleasant, but the atmosphere around us was definitely good!

Authentic Italian food, and the service is incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They weren't fussy when we wanted a slightly different dish. Yes, 4 stars for the atmosphere, but that's only because you really feel like you're in Italy. When it comes to food and wine, the road with cars alongside it doesn't exactly create a pleasant atmosphere. Again, the staff more than makes up for that. We'll definitely be back.

The first time we organized a cheese fondue evening, it's great that you try something new every time. It was just so busy, the staff could barely keep up. Tip: next time add vegetables like tomatoes, mushrooms, and bell peppers.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a very positive experience. I had booked a company outing for fondue night for 10 people. Everything went wrong: the table was set for 9 instead of 10, the wait was far too long for someone to take a drink order, and after 45 minutes, two of the three pots arrived, one of which hadn't melted. It went back, leaving 10 people with just one pot. The other two took over half an hour. The waiters gave our table a wide berth, so I went over to them myself. They kept saying someone would come, but they didn't. When we paid, there was no apology or a cup of coffee as compensation. Even after emailing, there was an apology, but that was it. Such a shame, a missed opportunity... I won't be making reservations with my company again. The cheese fondue was delicious, and the atmosphere was great.

I’ve visited this restaurant several times and always enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food isn’t as good as it used to be—about a year ago. Every dish we ordered this time was overly salty, and the quality of the calzone has noticeably declined.

Dear Team Christiani, My husband and I had a wonderful, pampering evening with you. We were even able to spontaneously bring two friends half an hour before our reservation time. All four of us had the four-course dinner (so lovely; you can choose your own dish for each course) and also chose the wine pairing. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes and the matching wines. We especially appreciated our lovely, friendly host, Robin, with his perfect explanation of the food and wines. He took excellent care of us even though the restaurant was busy. We would love to come back to be pampered again.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience. It was terribly noisy. All the diners kept looking in the direction of the bar. It's a shame the owner didn't say anything about it!

We've been there before and were disappointed, but third time's the charm. What a disappointment this time! Waiting almost an hour for the starter and then getting the wrong one didn't bode well. After reporting the problem, we did get the correct starter, but they shouldn't have. It was worse than bad. The main course was a stuffed quail, which was still half raw. I didn't eat it to avoid getting sick. I ordered fried potatoes, which looked like they'd been cremated in olive oil—in other words, inedible. All in all, it was VERY disappointing, and I'll never go back.

We sat upstairs on the heated terrace yesterday and asked the staff for advice, and we were pleasantly surprised. Well, I can tell you, everything from the appetizer to the dessert was delicious. The wine was also fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a reservation on the terrace, but due to the weather conditions we were cold, so we asked if there was a table available inside. Even though there were plenty of empty tables with sofas, as a family with two children, we were seated at a small table by the bar. I ordered the ravioli with mushroom sauce, and after waiting for an hour, when I finally saw the portion on my empty stomach, I couldn’t help but count how many there were — exactly six pieces of ravioli served with sauce. Since my husband had placed the order, I didn’t know the price, but I noticed on the bill that it cost €24. We paid totally 138 eur for pastas and pizzas 2 glass of wine and 1 beer 🙂‍↔️. The pricing policy is unbelievable. It was our first experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment.

Great service, unique dishes, fantastic taste! We'll definitely be back when we're in Aalsmeer again. It's not often you find an Italian restaurant with such a great price-quality ratio.

We came to this restaurant with our two children to celebrate my wife's birthday. The waiter greeted us upon arrival but didn't offer to take our coats or truly welcome us. When I asked the waiter (blonde, with a tattoo on his right arm) where the coat rack was, he simply said "back there," leaving me to hang up my coats myself, even though I was with two children. The appetizers were very disappointing. The vitello tonnato consisted of four slices of meat with only a few drops of sauce, and the cheese and meat platter was very meager: a few slices of cooked ham, some salami and bacon, and mediocre cheese. The platter also came without bread. Only after I asked for it did we receive a basket of focaccia—which later appeared on the bill for €6.50. In Italy, bread is always included, especially with appetizers. The main courses also came without side dishes (everything had to be paid extra), the service was cold and inattentive, and no one asked if we wanted another drink when my wine ran out. No one spoke Italian, even though the restaurant presents itself as Italian. Even when we asked for crayons for the children, they were forgotten. I'm Italian myself and work in an Italian restaurant. I know how important a warm welcome and personal attention are to guests, especially with the first customers of the evening. I didn't notice any of that here. Honestly, I wonder if this is even a real Italian restaurant, or just a place with only Dutch staff. All in all, a very bad experience that should have been a wonderful birthday party, but was instead ruined. We will never return.

We had the four-course dinner, and the food was delicious. The wine was also good. However, we had to wait a long time for the food to arrive. We were seated for over an hour before the first of the four courses arrived, which was a shame. When we paid, the desserts were still taken separately and not included in the four-course menu. When I pointed this out myself, it was handled quickly, and I got my money back. It can happen, of course, but I'm glad I double-checked.

We had another fantastic tasting evening at Christiani! Delicious autumn dishes, all carefully presented and served with great enthusiasm. A little tip: it would be nice if the wine pairing was poured from the bottle at the table instead of glasses being brought on a tray — that would add that extra touch of experience. Otherwise: a fantastic evening!

Pleasantly surprised! I'm not a pizza fan. But you can also go upstairs, which also has a terrace. There, we were pleasantly surprised by other delicious dishes and good wine available by the glass. Plus, the friendly, knowledgeable service. Excellent!

An experience similar to the Italian dolce vita

Everything was perfect - seating close/under stairs and close to kitchen with a lot of movement.

We had to wait a really long time for everything. We waited over 30 minutes for dessert, which turned out to be forgotten, but we still weren't charged for it.

The bill showed €39.50 for a bottle of wine we hadn't ordered. The woman said, "I'll be back," and then simply gave us a corrected receipt without consultation or apology. The waiter kept speaking English to us because of our Asian appearance, while we constantly spoke Dutch. The food was far too salty, and the seafood wasn't fresh. Disappointing.

We visited this restaurant during a short stay in Aalsmeer. Efficient service, delicious Italian cuisine, and a limoncello treat at the end. Highly recommended!

To be honest, the service wasn't the best, and neither was the food. The waiters didn't seem to care if they could take your order or if you wanted something else... That wasn't enough; we had to wait two hours for our dinner, a rather basic pizza and pasta.

Well, I don't really know what to say. Normally, we're very happy with Christiani; the people are friendly, the food is delicious, and it's always fun with the kids. (Now, we're always there at 5:00 PM, so I can't compare it to the peak evening rush.) We were really looking forward to dining on the terrace at Vuur en Licht at Christiani. The 8:15 PM start time is a bit late for us to start eating, but we assumed the food would arrive quickly and be ready after the fireworks. We paid a deposit of €89.50 each. We were seated at our table at 8:10 PM. We indicated that we also wanted to go home after the fireworks (the alarm goes off at 6:00 AM). That was no problem. The amuse-bouche (small vegetarian salad) arrived at 9:00 PM. We were practically starving, as there was no bread or anything like that. At 9:40 PM, course 1 (scallop ceviche). At 10:30 PM, course 2 (mussels), and at 11:00 PM, course 3 (spaghetti). When we still hadn't received our main course by midnight, we (along with three other tables on the terrace) left. We asked several times why it was taking so long, but other than a "other guests think it's taking too long, we're doing our best," we didn't really get an explanation. I think the evening just wasn't going well, or they underestimated the crowds. We felt very sorry for the staff; they clearly worked hard, but we felt a bit sorry for ourselves too. We came for the fireworks but couldn't even see them because we were seated in the far left corner. All in all, a real disappointment, but perhaps expectations were too high due to previous experiences.

This was my second time eating here. The 4-course menu offers a wide selection, is well-balanced, and the dishes are exquisite. I'll definitely be back.

The quality of some dishes was lower than before. We had to wait a long time for the main course. The tiramisu wasn't as light as usual. The air conditioning was turned off upon request, as it turned out. We then melted away. The experience didn't come close to previous visits.

We went last Friday. Unfortunately, the experience was mediocre. The starter was Vitello Tonnato, the main course was Tagliata di Manzo. Upon arrival, we were given a table upstairs and inside because there was no room on the terrace. Understandable. I asked the waitress if she could move us outside if something became available. She went to fix it. No such luck. At one point, there were about 10 free seats outside, and we were still inside. I spoke to the waitress again. She went to check and fix it. No such luck. So I asked a young man with an earpiece. 30 seconds later, we were sitting outside on the terrace. When I ordered Tagliata di Manzo, the same young woman didn't ask about the cooking method. Strange. When I confronted her about it, she said, "It's always cooked medium." Since I don't like cod on my plate, I asked for it to be rare. She was taken aback. I repeated this three times, and I'm sure she still didn't know what I was talking about. When I received my main course, it came with nothing. No fries, no pasta, nothing. It would have been nice if the young lady had mentioned/asked me. Consequently, I had to order something extra at that point, even though my meat had already been served (read: was getting cold). I'd really liked some pasta with it, with some olive oil. They didn't have it! Hello?? An Italian who doesn't serve pasta as a side dish? Faut le faire... So I ordered fries instead... And guess what... the fries arrived, of course, when my plate was already 3/4 empty... And then the fries... What a disappointment... Paper-thin frozen fries straight from McDonald's, for €5.50 per portion. A bill of €106 for two people. I expected better...

The chef invited our daughter to sprinkle mozzarella, slid her creation into the roaring oven, and delivered it back bubbling—the pride in her eyes was priceless family magic.

Een leuke locatie, boven is het gezellig. Mooi uitzicht. Bediening viel tegen. Ze kijken rond maar zien niets. We moesten, nadat de menukaart al even dicht op tafel lag, zelf vragen of we iets konden bestellen. Het plankje vleeswaren en kaas wat we vooraf namen, was karig en miste uitleg. De pizza en het kipgerecht smaakten prima. We misten een bordje voor de botjes en een vochtig doekje voor na het kluiven. De wijn die we bestelden hebben we niet gekregen maar stond wel op de rekening. Het afrekenen ging ook niet correct. Er werd te weinig terugbetaald. Jammer! Te veel minpunten om nog eens terug te gaan.

We asked for a red wine to pair with seafood, and the waiter enthusiastically recommended a volcanic-soil Nero d’Avola. It perfectly complemented our linguine and was even cheaper than the house wine.

Nice place with a beautiful view. Very good food and an extensive wine list. One minor point: When the restaurant gets busier, you notice the service declines. It all takes a little too long, even though there are plenty of staff.

After ordering two pizzas at the Hoofddorp location on Concourslaan, I decided to dine at the Aalsmeer location this time (see review). Parking is free and easily accessible. The welcome is friendly. Once upstairs, I was allowed to choose a table on their terrace. I had made a reservation for this via the website. The partially covered terrace is the ideal seating area for summer days. It has a beautiful view of the W.Plas lake and several shady spots. We had to wait 15 minutes for our two drinks and only received them after asking, even later than the appetizers we had ordered shortly before. The serving of the drinks could be improved. The appetizers were good, but the pizzas were a bit disappointing compared to the Hoofddorp location, although they were still excellent! The staff regularly asked if everything was to our liking. I would have liked to give them 5 stars. We will definitely be back! 🍕 🍝🍷

Delicious food with a beautiful view over the water, what more could you want on a summer evening?

Yesterday, I visited the restaurant with a group of friends. The food was a definite highlight – fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the dishes. It took a long time for a waiter to come and take our order, and after our meals were served, we felt a bit overlooked and had to ask for assistance. The Pornstar Martini was missing its signature garnish – fresh passion fruit – and was also a little too sweet for our taste. Overall, a bit of a shame, as the food itself was very good.

After very good experience in Christiani Hoofddorp that was second and last time in Christiani Aalsmeer. We were with group of 9 people there for Sunday early dinner and from the begging we were ignored by restaurant staff... After ordering first drinks we were waiting 45 min for waiter but nobody showed up so we just asked if we can finally order food. During dinner nobody showed up at the table to ask if maybe we would like to order some drinks etc, after dinner nobody showed up to ask if we want to coffee, extra drinks, dessert or whatever. Around this time restaurant was empty and only one table was taken so that also doesn't explain really not professional staff behaviour. They were even not nice or friendly, all our group had the feeling we are just ignored and staff is waiting for us the leave. Food was tasting good, only my pizza was cold probably because of waiting time. And cocktails, not recommend at all, how you can serve Pornstar Martini without passion fruit in it? That's only not part of decoration of the cocktail, Pornstar Martini should look and taste this way... And yes, we maybe should ask staff about it and about cold pizza, but it's also not nice thing to do during the dinner, trying to find restaurant staff as they disappeared all the time and we really needed to ask them to show up at the table...

Rigatoni emerged al dente, its ridges holding a slow-simmered tomato sauce kissed with oregano; proof that confident ingredients and precise timing create magic.

The dessert was especially delicious. The pasta itself was very tasty, but my girlfriend's risotto was mostly tomato sauce and very little pasta. That could definitely have been different. There's also a beautiful view of the Westeinderplassen lakes.

After a fifty-kilometer ride the hearty lasagna layered with béchamel felt restorative; staff kept refilling iced water and suggested post-meal espresso for the road.

Amazing food. Great service. Brilliant selection of wines to go with. We were a bunch of vegetation had all courses with veggie options. Pizza and pasta are best ! Service is on point even when the place is pretty busy.

we had a 2 persons reserve here, food was good, I had a vegi food, ravioli and my partner steak , both were good, wine was tasty, personnels were kind and friendly, we waited a little maybe 10mins to get menu,… It was also very full and crowded, we had a good experience there

Although the pike-perch fillet was a bit oversalted, the food was very tasty and high-quality. The service could be better, however: it took far too long between courses, and dessert was probably forgotten. Water was served at other tables – but not at ours! And that was despite the restaurant being only about 50% full. A generous 4 stars!

We had the 7 course taster menu here and it was delicious. My favorites were the eggplant and the scallops. The atmosphere is good, you notice that the energetic team is looking forward to it. We will definitely come back
