⭐ 1 star – huge disappointment on our son's 18th birthday - update - Called by the owner 1 day later to offer his apologies. Saying sorry but doing nothing to make amends. Then don't call. We had made a reservation specifically to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. We even contacted them by phone beforehand to explicitly inform them that it was his 18th birthday. You would therefore expect that as a restaurant, you know guests are coming for a special occasion and that you communicate important changes in advance. Upon arrival, we received the menus and suddenly discovered that a heavily modified menu was being served due to the festive week. Less than 10% of the normal menu remained. This was not mentioned in our reservation, not a word was said about it during our phone call, and nothing was indicated about this on the website either. If you know in advance that you are practically scrapping your entire regular menu, then surely it is the absolute minimum to inform guests who are making reservations about this. That way, people can decide for themselves whether they still want to come. Especially when they make a reservation specifically for a birthday. For us, this meant that the evening we had been looking forward to was immediately ruined. We indicated that we wanted to cut the evening short for this reason and left. What topped it all off: no sincere apology, not a single attempt to resolve the situation or make up for the disappointment in any way. We were, however, allowed to simply pay for our drinks. To us, that really says it all about how guests are treated here. In the end, we went home, cooked a steak ourselves, and turned it into a fun 18th birthday celebration at home after all. A restaurant can, of course, temporarily offer a modified menu. That is not the point. But then communicate that in advance, especially to guests who have made reservations and even had telephone contact. For us, this was a huge disappointment on an evening that was supposed to be special. Never again Legends for us.

Was there for a magic performance at a 50th birthday. It was very successful, looked good, and the staff were very friendly and the service was good.

Mexican burger was ok, stroopwafel affogato was good, beer was good, but was kind of put off by the strong request for a "tip" - did NL stop paying servers and adopt the USA model of tipping? Not to mention that I was told that on a 37 euro bill a normal tip was about 10-12 euro!

Google maps says open until midnight. After a long walk, got there at 10:25 pm and it was closed. Update your hours.

Very pleasant atmosphere. It wasn't cold, so we sat outside. The food is delicious. The service from the girls was also sensational! Highly recommended!

Nice bistro with a varied menu.

Rarely have I had such a bad experience. We were out for dinner with guests, and it was supposed to be a pleasant evening, but it turned into a huge disappointment. The chicken was bone dry and the food was completely tasteless. It seemed as if no attention whatsoever had been paid to the dishes. That is unacceptable, especially when you are paying for a night out. As if that wasn't enough, the toilets were downright filthy. The trash cans were overflowing and the hygiene left much to be desired. A restaurant that allows its sanitary facilities to deteriorate like this shows little respect for its guests. We will definitely not be returning. We therefore do not recommend this restaurant.

Not really a welcoming feeling when you walk in, staff a bit stiff. The food was decent, but the Skuumkuppe had no taste.

Incredibly friendly staff. The food was fantastic. We had the teriyaki beef tenderloin tips and the bavette. For dessert, sticky caramel and the Oreo cheesecake. Delicious.

The only place that open all day. Charged you if you want ketchup with your fries. Seem like all sauces even salad dressing have yellow curry in them, find that strange.

This place is lovely, with its unique design quirks, in a good way. We arrived the it just opened on the day, staff was attentive, polite, in general food was delicious but im not a food critic even though our steaks were not cooked to what we ordered but it was still delicious alsoI think we have a very different understanding on what a traditional gravy must be, food choice was available for most food diets.

A disgrace. We arrived at 9 pm and a young, blonde waitress told us it would take an hour to serve our dinner because they were very busy, even though there were free tables. When we said we didn't mind waiting, they replied that the kitchen closed at 10 pm and they wouldn't be able to serve us. It's unacceptable to treat customers like this, especially when there's only an hour left before closing time. Very unprofessional. It's obvious this isn't their business…

We have had mixed experiences. The first time the food was great, the second time the food experience was horrible. We will therefore not recommend this place unless you like to eat raw and not fresh food

Great restaurant for our annual dinner with some friends. We had a wonderful evening!

Brasserie Legends is a lovely place. It has a very atmospheric decor with lots of cozy lighting and beautiful paintings on the walls and accessories. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. We got a house sandwich with sauce. We only ordered a main course because we'd already eaten something beforehand. We chose the chicken thigh with satay, served with salad and fries. The meat was super tender and the satay was delicious. It was a shame the dish only came with two skewers; an extra portion would have made it perfect. We spent a total of €60 per person, including two drinks. The non-alcoholic drinks (Coca-Cola) were €3.50 each. The bread was on the house. We had a great time. Definitely a nice place to eat!

It might be a coincidence, but tonight I didn't think it was great. The tenderloin skewer was one oli, the other tendon, the mayo with the fries was a drop in the ocean, and the overpriced sirloin steak was okay. The vegetables tasted like fish, and the appetizer platter for a whopping €42! for 2 people. With chicken wings, among other things, it wasn't worth it. The waitresses were really generous, but they asked five times if you wanted another drink...

What appears to be a cafe in the square ended up to be a fine establishment. My legs were sore from wandering the streets and canals so I stopped for a quick drink. I ended up having more than one with a great meal of duck a l’orange and crème brulee for dessert. Excellent atmosphere, bring your own vibe. 5 stars.

Badly received upon arrival, had to wait a long time for the card, irritated staff!

The food is exceptional. We found this place on our first night and walked 1km each way in the rain to go back a second night. Steak was cooked perfectly, sauces all full of flavour and all mains came with a side salad that was beautifully varied.

Top place. Good food and drinks (among others delicious onion soup and lobster soup), nice bar and top staff. Very cozy.

While I was enjoying the food, the music…. an hygiene event screw the whole experience. Bartender was in the toilet doing his needs, once he was done jumped straight to the bar to keep serving the drinks….. skipping the basic WASH YOUR HANDS. Disgusting.

The place is really nice, it really has the atmosphere of a Dutch pub. The food is good, the beer too and the guys who work are kind and helpful.

The reviews were pretty good 4.4 and we decided to go there for a meal after a long tiring day. We asked for a drink menu, but they didn't have one. Everyone should know what drinks they're ordering (!?). The food menu wasn't brought right away either. When we somehow got our drinks ordered, we asked for a food menu along with the drinks. We got the drinks, but it took 35 minutes to get the food menu. The people who came after us had gotten their food menus and were ordering. After waiting like that, we asked how long it takes to prepare the food, but the waiter couldn't tell us. We didn't get any answer about getting any appetizers or at least snacks. Very dismissive service, no one wanted to deal with us and we felt like we were somehow disturbing them. We left without eating. We think the reviews are overrated.

The food itself was tasty, but the portions compared to the money you paid are scandalous. For example, 6 small thin slices of tuna sashimi for 18.50 as a starter. During our week-long vacation in Holland we discovered Legends because of our hotel location. Great service, very good English, so good communication is possible even for non-locals. Good selection of starters, (the bitterballen are highly recommended.) The food was absolutely great, very good quality, great cooking, for example with fish, hamburgers or the “Steak Legends” Great selection of drinks, especially cocktails. The only thing that scares you is the size of the beer if you are used to 0.5l from Germany. The atmosphere is very inviting, in keeping with the name and cozy, you feel like you're in good hands. In short, a really great place! Great recommendation to stop by if you get the chance.

Really tried: unfortunately the operation was very difficult and complicated. Didn't listen and forgot many of the orders. Main and starter arrived in the wrong order. Wine list is absent ("yes, there are wines on it that we don't have anyway" - missed opportunity). People with a physical disability are not treated fully. Shame! Little parking space on site. Ate outside was okay, inside it seems dark - but it is difficult to judge. Food is okay - not spectacular but a 7. In short, potential but the service is terribly bad.

The atmosphere is more like a bar than a restaurant. There are many posters of Presley, Batman's Joker (Heath Ledger), etc. I visited around 18:00, and the store was busy with customers, and the number continued to increase. While the staff were busy moving around, we had a delicious dinner of steak, salad, and recommended beer.

Inside of the restaurant is decorated with conversation inspiring pieces. Bathrooms really clean.
