Food was really great! service was nice and personal. Servings were also good size. We shared the starter. Will definitely go there again.

Food was OK. Service was good. I didn’t enjoy the experience because of a couple that changed their infant baby’s diaper on the table right in front of mine. I should’ve spoken up, but I didn’t because these people didn’t look very respectful and I didn’t want to make a scene and want any trouble since I was alone. Didn’t enjoy that experience at all.

Definitely different from the average restaurants. The food is better than anywhere else. The atmosphere is like visiting your favorite aunt and having your favorite food made for you. It is highly recommended to follow her on Instagram to know what cuisine is available. This woman can cook like the best. No fuss about it, but all attention goes to the food and you can taste it. The price for the food is perfect. If it were charged double, I would still eat it. Indian cuisine is my favorite (although spicy if you are not used to spicy food), but the rest is also delicious.

I was really impressed with the food! You could feel the passion and care in the cooking, using quality ingredients. I went for the grilled dorera fish, it was cripsy while remaining juicy and meaty from the inside. My friend had the coq au vin which the meat was incredibly tender, and the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Also, the female chef has this really positive attitude, and you can tell she's an honest, hardworking person. It adds to the great vibes of the place! I would definitely recommend this place.

It’s a lovely restaurant. The food is amazing. Every week has a different menu. I tried The French food and the soups were out of world! Don’t leave wageningen without trying its food. The owner and chef Josephine is very kind. The chocolate cake is a Must.

Tasty food, but way too expensive for the small portions. Instead of giving everyone their own portion, it is served in a small bowl for the entire table because this would be easier for the owner. As a result, it is far too little and people look strangely when they ask for more food. The bill was also incorrect and the waitress was blamed for this even though she had recorded everything correctly. Overpriced and chaotic.

Josephine is an amazing chef and person. You will immediately feel at home in this cozy restaurant. She changes the menu every week - cooking French, then Indian, then Italian. She knows the chemistry of cooking and more importantly the quality of ingredients. If you are in or near Wageningen you must make this restaurant your destination. C’est magnifique!

A beautiful surprise! We had seen excellent reviews and wanted to try it with a little skepticism. When we arrived the restaurant was empty and in Wageningen it is strange. We discovered that the menu of the week was French. Few dishes (3 soups, 2 starters and 4 main courses and 3 desserts)… as it should be in "family" run restaurants. Excellent soups, mouth-watering main course (boeuf bourgougnon), super desserts. We are wines at affordable prices. I share the opinion of another reviewer: it seems like we went to dinner with our aunt. Homemade cuisine, well made with never banal flavours. Advised!

By far the best food I've had in the Netherlands, let alone wageningen!!! Amazing atmosphere with great music on the vinal player. Its a small menu each day but the chef will not disappoint. Food from all over the world - Indian curry, Italian, Tanzanian - also with hand picked wine. Reasonable prices, and run by the kindest, most beautiful soul in Wageningen - Josephine - who will tell you what is good so trust her! See you next time Josephine

Besides her love for cooking and her food, Josephine possesses a sharp tongue, hilarious honesty and quick wit. First time visitors might get surprised by her unorthodox demeanor, but soon everyone realizes she is one of the most caring and funny people around. This unique place has a reputation that has been spread far and wide. One visit is enough to see why people from all around the world come back to Wageningen for a visit to De Keuken.

Very kind lady, really good food, cooked with pride for the product; we had chicken and lamb curry, was amazing. Also we got to try them before and also let us taste a lot of soup and cake (which were all really really good). I've been to a lot of restaurants here but this one is the best for sure!!

We really enjoyed the warm hospitality and soul-soothing soups, stews and curries here. You get to sample what’s available, though that only made it harder for us to decide which ones to order as they were all tasty and lovingly made. It almost feels as if you’ve been invited to an aunt’s house for a comforting home-cooked meal. In the end, we opted for the chicken curry, beef stew and pumpkin soup. Can’t wait to visit again for the other delicious dishes!

What a wonderful, cozy restaurant. They let you taste soups, so that your choice becomes easier... or not... they are that tasty. We went for the pumpkin soup and the chicken curry dish. Well, finger licking good. Finally, she also rushed out with a slice of chocolate cake to taste. Wonderful taste sensations here.

Best food in Wageningen, also fantastic catering to around 50 people at an event. Love the stews. She's very realistic about the feasibility of the catering requests. This honest and tasty service was really good. Everybody left happy and just asking where did I find De Keuken.

Coincidentally, I passed by after a visit to the weekly market in Wageningen. We looked at the menu in front of the window and the lady asked us to come and taste some soups. Delicious soups also on a vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian basis. The wild mushroom and game soup was also super tasty. Then I went to taste some meat and rice dishes. And I was sold. What can this woman cook? Delicious flavors from mild to spicy. YOU HAVE TO TRY THAT.

This place is a must in Wageningen. Food is amazing and the Chef is one of the most kind and friendly people I have encountered in this city. To begin with, they serve different kinds of soups. And you can actually taste them and decide which one you want to eat. All the soups delicious, very different in taste. Also you can get a really nice curry as a main dish which is delicious as well. Usually with the sides of green beans and rice. You will get a basket of bread and a jar of water. There is a few tables outside if the weather is nice but also indoor seating is available. You also have the option to reserve inside for a party.

Soups, curries and other dishes (like boeuf bourguignon) are very good and of high quality. Good to have a fast break for lunch, or also to enjoy a proper meal for dinner!

Great flavors and it definitely satisfied my curry craving. I love how everything tastes like it was cooked with love. Owner is super welcoming and makes anyone feel at home.

The food is quite nice. 'The lady' loves to be direct and expects that you appreciate her directness. I found it a bit annoying as there seemed little room for opposition to her opinion or way of seeing things. We had her cater a party but we don't recommend this: we ended up buying some of the required ingredients herself and we did not get to experience her quality cooking as she provided stir-fried mushrooms, smoked salmon and pieces of cheese bread which all seemed to have been purchased in bulk. To top it off we had to wash and return all the dishes she provided. But, if you like and experience and to enjoy her more authentic cooking: carry out is quite good.

From the moment you walk in the aramatic smells from the cooking hit you. The owner freely hands out samples of her cooking from pumpkin soup to chicken curry. Beautifully prepared and delicious. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and a very pleasant cook. Tip: Try the chocolate cake. Also useful to know: open until 7:30 PM on weekdays. On Saturdays the time of closing depends on the crowds.
