We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Indian flavours. We tried the Chole Bhature and desi dal, and everything was fresh, tasty, and perfectly prepared. The Chole Bhature was especially amazing—very flavourful and satisfying! The desi dal was also delicious and reminded us of authentic homemade Indian food. The portions were good, the food was served nicely, and we really enjoyed our meal. If you are looking for delicious and authentic Indian food, this place is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We will definitely come back again! 😊🍛❤️

Visited Kailash Parbat Amsterdam last night for dinner with friends without a prior reservation. My friends were really keen on sitting outside on the terrace, but due to a large group, it was completely full. Mr Rohit suggested we sit inside and honestly, it turned out to be the absolute best decision. The authentic Indian food combined with the vibrant music created an incredible atmosphere. The food was truly outstanding, but what made our night extra special was the exceptional hospitality of Mr Rohit. Despite the restaurant being packed, he managed to give personal attention to every table. A few of my friends had a bit too much to drink, but Mr Rohit handled the entire situation with utmost patience, calm, and grace. On top of that, despite the rush, he personally recommended some incredible dishes that completely blew us away. Kudos to Mr Rohit for his top tier professionalism and service. I highly recommend Kailash Parbat to anyone looking for phenomenal food and memorable vibes with friends and family. Will definitely be visiting again.❤️

We came for an office treat with a large group. Food ordered was fresh and had great taste. The staff is friendly and service is very nice. Would recommend anyone coming or planning to Amsterdam.

I visited here for the first time recently; apart from the pani puris I ate in India, I have no experience with chaat. The dahi puri and sev puri were both tasty, but they were practically the same dish. So that was a bit of a shame, because we thought we had ordered different dishes. The chai was very tasty and is highly recommended. However, I didn't think the mango lassi tasted good. Naturally, I compare everything to India. And I have never ordered a chai, lassi, or other dish here that is comparable to the flavors of India. These chaat dishes and the chai are highly recommended, though. What irritated me quite a bit was the attitude and the mediocre customer service of the staff. It seems like they don't want to sell anything. When I called to make a reservation, they initially refused to take a reservation over the phone. Eventually, it was noted down, but they hung up immediately while I wanted to ask a question. When we arrived, we were told that there was no room without a reservation. I gave the name, and we were able to sit down. During our visit, I felt unable to eat or drink in peace because the staff wanted to get you out of the place as quickly as possible. After the meal, we ordered some drinks, and within 5 minutes, while the chai was still hot, we were asked by 3 different people to order more or pay the bill. At one point, the menu was snatched out of our hands. I found this very rude and unfriendly. We were considering a sweet dish, but decided not to order it due to the rude behavior of the staff. And this while more than half of the restaurant was empty. This was the case throughout our entire visit. If there had been reservations, I would have understood, but this was just very strange. So I don't know if I will give it another try after this spectacle.

Good food, but terrible hospitality and service. If you’re only looking for good Indian food, you can visit Kailash Parbat. But if you want to have a good time with decent hospitality and service, I would definitely not recommend it. • We had made a reservation in advance, and we specifically wanted terrace seating. The terrace was completely empty, but it hadn’t been cleaned, so they initially refused to seat us there. Since it was quite warm inside, we insisted and eventually got a table there. It was disappointing that a reserved table wasn’t properly prepared. • Our food order was taken orally instead of being entered properly on the iPad. We made a few changes to the order, and later the waiter came to us and spoke very rudely about the order, saying that the food was now wasted because of the changes. This was extremely unprofessional, especially since the order had not been properly recorded in the first place. • We asked for the menu three times and waited around 20 minutes before getting it. When we finally asked about the delay, the response was, “You changed tables, that’s why.” This was not a reasonable excuse for such a basic request. • Even the person at the counter was rude and unwelcoming. The food itself was good, but the overall experience was extremely disappointing. Good food cannot make up for poor service, rude staff, and a complete lack of hospitality. If you want good food, you can visit — but if you want to actually enjoy your time and receive good hospitality, I would suggest going somewhere else.

Easily the best veg restaurant in NL! I’ve been here over 10 times and they have never disappointed me once. Every single item on the menu is amazing, the quality is always spot on, and it’s a total paradise for vegetarians. Must try: samosa chat, sev puri, spicy guava, palak chat Honestly, Kailash Parbat is easily the best pure vegetarian Indian restaurant across the Netherlands and Belgium. The authentic taste is completely consistent every time you visit.If you're planning a meal here, you absolutely have to try their chaats. The Samosa Chaat, Palak Patta Chaat, and Sev Puri are incredible and full of flavor. For the main course, their Paneer dishes are excellent, and it pairs perfectly with their Butter Naan or Cheese Garlic Naan, which are always soft and delicious. Also, do not miss out on the Spicy Guava Mocktail, it's an absolute must-try!I love this place because it never fails. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-tier Indian food!

Mediocre food with uneducated staff Went twice to this restaurant once for lunch and once for dinner and both time I regretted wasting my money here. FOOD: The food is below average and does not feel fresh. You can feel it. It’s frozen and Old food that is just reheated. Maybe if you are not India you might not realise but as an Indian me and my entire group really did not like the food when you’re paying such a high price. They won’t even give you free water until you ask them to like dude it’s a restaurant at least you can keep on table is Free Water STAFF: All of the staff were India. Very rude staff, and pretty cocky. They treat you like they are doing a favour by serving your food. During both my Visit, we felt the staff need training, education or needs to be replaced. They need to learn basic manners how to talk to people and when they are serving food they should remember that people are PAYING for it. They are not doing any kind of charity for people visiting this restaurant if that helps them understand. Also the restaurant closes at 10 pm or so and I can totally understand but the way they start kicking people off five minutes earlier in between your finishing your food is also very annoying. I am visiting the restaurant to have a good time with my friends or family not get frozen food serve served by untrained disrespectful waiters. There is a way you can ask people to leave the Restaurant respectfully , they themselves start packing their bags and leaving even when half of the customers are still packing of their stuff to leave the Restaurant I gave two chances to this place but never going here again ever and neither would I recommend. There are many other places like Madras diaries or Tulsi or Ashoka I would recommend trying those instead of this shitty place.

We had Kailash Prabat catering for our engagement ceremony in Amsterdam in June. The tasting menu was so good to try. It was such a fantastic service from Kavitha. She organised and tried to help with making the catering service perfect. The food was delicious. The chaats station worked so well! Huge thanks to the team, especially to Kavitha, for such a great execution.

Authentic Indian taste in their dishes. We ordered vegetable paratha and palak kichdi. Requested for pickle, they were kind to give it. Also packed a paratha to go and the packaging was good.

The menu features both tasty small bites to share and all the classic Indian dishes. Everything I have eaten here so far has been incredibly flavorful and prepared with care. What a fantastic experience at this restaurant on the Weteringschans. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the bicycle mural is a beautiful addition to the interior. The food was truly delicious. The presentation on the wooden boards, in particular, looked very well-cared for and authentic. Everything tasted fresh and was full of surprising flavors. I will definitely be back here again soon.

This is a chain restaurant that originated in Bombay itself, so you will get the exact authentic indian tastes, maybe one of the only authentic indian restaurants in Amsterdam that has local indian food. Food is incredible, I highly recommend!!!

Went in here in Sept 2024 purely on a whim. Was absolutely one of the best meals we ever had! Talked about it for months. Visited Amsterdam July 2026. Could not remember the name but remembered the approximate location. Found it on an early morning jet lag walk. Made a reservation online for the same evening. Arrived at 7:55 and were seated immediately. Ordered drinks and 2 apps. The Naan arrived in 5 minutes. After waiting 35 additional minutes without so much as an acknowledgement, much less our drinks and the other app, we left. What a disappointment! Save your money for a restaurant that respects and appreciates customers. We left a 5€ note on the table to cover the Naan cost.

Great chole bhatura and lassi. We sat outside and had a canal view. The inside was a little stuffy. Staff was attentive although they were quite busy.

Food was amazing! They need to improve the customer experience! Service is not adequate! They were rude and uncooperative! Cancelled a dish at 21:45 when we ordered it 30-45 mins before the closing time of kitchen! The chef on the chaat bar did not wanted to serve! He might be underpaid or overworked. Bad for the overall reputation of restaurant unfortunately. But food was tasty.

Amazing food! We ordered Vada pav, Dhabeli, pani poori, tawa pulao, Rabadi, Neebu pani and chai. I would give 5-5 for all the items. If you are in Amsterdam, this is a must visit place. There menu is different, they serve the food which beyond typical Indian restaurant.

We ordered a Guava Chilli drink, a Masala Coke and a normal Coke. The Guava Chilli drink was 7€ and only half full and the juice wasn't even made fresh it was out of a box. We ordered the Manchurian as our starter and it was good. Then we ordered the Chole Bhature and Panner tava and it was average. The service wasn't great ether Is all came out to be 68€ 😲

Horrible experience with the food. Ordered Dabeli, that came with stale bread. They agreed to give a new one, but again came with the another stale bread. When complained, there was no reaction from the attende. Other food also lacked taste.

More of a food court dining experience rather than an actual sit-down restaurant. We were seated on the first floor in the middle of the restaurant with constant foot traffic around us. After placing our order, we tried flagging our waiter multiple times but couldn’t get hold of him as he was busy attending other tables. At one point, he acknowledged us, said he’d come back, and then continued serving others instead. Asked for tap water three times before actually getting it. It felt like once you place your order, that’s the only point where you can reach the waiter because after that they’re occupied elsewhere. On top of that, cutlery was being prepared loudly and dirty dishes were being disposed of right in front of our table while we were eating. The seating itself wasn’t great either with people constantly walking back and forth around us. We just had our food and left. Overall, not recommended at all if you’re looking for an enjoyable dine-in experience.

After a rather disappointing start to the evening, we ended up at Kailash Parbat — and what a turnaround it was. We came in as a group, celebrating a farewell for some of our friends, and the restaurant made the occasion truly memorable. We ordered several dishes to share, and every single one impressed us. The flavours were rich and well-crafted, the portions generous, and the quality of the food was evident from the first bite. As someone who is not vegetarian, I'll admit I wasn't sure what to expect — but I genuinely loved every dish that came to the table. Kailash Parbat won me over completely. What also stood out was the warmth of the service. Our waiter was attentive, kind, and made us feel genuinely welcome — exactly what you hope for when you're sharing a special evening with friends. The ambience complemented the experience perfectly, striking the right balance between lively and comfortable for a group gathering. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Highly recommended. If you haven't visited Kailash Parbat yet, do yourself a favour and go. We will certainly be back.

Update: its good for snacks but main course are ok not the best. We ordered multiple food: Manchurian: was very good schezwan hakka noodles : was bit disappointed as those were not noddles but vermicelli and quantity was not much. Vada pao: that was pretty authentic Dahi papdi chat: that was good too. Jaljeera: not good should have listened the server. Would suggest to ask the server what is good and then order.

A little gem; we had a delicious meal and the menu has so much more to discover. The Pani Puri was a nice discovery; we had served this at our poet's 21st birthday dinner. Two terraces; the front one on the street was nice and cozy and not too noisy; the back one was by the water – unfortunately, this one closed around dinnertime.

Food was delicious and full of flavor, but the service was extremely disappointing. Everything — starters, main course, and drinks — was brought all at once, leaving no space on the table. The staff’s behavior felt cold and unwelcoming. Great food, but the service really needs improvement.

Must try for authentic Indian vegetarian food if in Amsterdam

We walked in to this half empty outlet to be told that they only took in customers with reservations. While we were standing there the lady who told us this got a call and shr told the person on the phone that they were not accepting reservations. So no walk in and no reservation as well. However it was the manner in which they treated us, extremely rude and condesending. There's a Saravana bhavan hardly 400 metres away and they were far more welcoming.

Good Street food. Lassi was nice.

Unfortunately the quality and food has gone down. Not upto standards of Kailash Parbat as it was. The Ragda puri had the same chole as the Chole Bhature instead of Ragda. The ice machine did not work, so the cold coffee was room temperature coffee. But the worst of all was the Pani Puri paani. It was spoilt and rancid. When we expressed the same to the service, they were defensive instead of just acknowledging the issue. Very disappointing visit

We visited kailash parbat twice in 2 days. First time we ordered jain paneer lahori, jain panipuri and jain bhurji paav which was good. Next day we ordered jain bhel, jain paneer three pepper which was good. We also ordered jain veg hakka noodles which was bland. We requested for soya sauce which never came. Also the fresh lime soda was okay. It was not made with fresh lemon. We were little disappointed. But overall the food was good.

I recently visited Kailash Parbat in Amsterdam and tried a variety of items. The mixed chaat was truly authentic and one of the best I’ve had in the Netherlands. I also tried the Kacchi Makai Kolivada, which was very good and full of flavor. The masala chaas, however, was not very authentic as it seemed diluted and lacked the traditional taste. The masala chai also did not meet expectations. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for their chaats, as they are the highlight of the menu.

Usually the food is always 5 star, but last weekend seems like the chef changed. Will try again and adjust the review if needed.

Unfortunately, our experience here was quite disappointing. The service was quite rude from the start and throughout the entire meal our dirty dishes were left on the table and no one seemed to care enough to clear them. The food was good but nothing special and overall overpriced especially for vegetarian options. Also, the vada pav was not marked as spicy but was actually extremely spicy, even for someone who usually handles spice well. When we went to pay, we were first given a €100 bill that included dishes we never ordered. After pointing this out, we received a second incorrect bill, and only on the third attempt was it finally correct. It’s a shame because we really like Indian cuisine and we visited many Indian restaurants in Amsterdam. We were really looking forward to visit Kailash Parbat, but we didn’t enjoy the experience and honestly wouldn’t recommend it.

Very much overpriced for the food they give, and service is average at best

Compared to other locations (e.g. Singapore), the taste of the food here is mediocre. Had pani puri, all of the six of which were filled with some non-descript sev, and all were flat (not spherical) with holes therefore none held water. The bhel was without taste, also didn't help that kurmura was stale. Another disappointment was chhole out of chhole bhature, bhature were ok, chhole again lacked the Indian taste. I had been to this exact place last year when I found the food to be great. It's sad to see such a deterioration so fast.

19th Dec: After many visits, I must say they have improving the quality and have also upgraded the menu. Tried their Thecha Paneer Tikka. And also winter special off the menu.. Sarso Saag and Makai Roti... Just amazing. --------few years back----: Pure Veg and Lot of Jain options available. Some dishes are really good and value for money and some are not. Had visited 3 times so far but none of the times Sol kadi was available. Vada Pav, Dabeli, Pav Bhaji, Bhatura platter are good. Ragda Pattice, Dahi Puri is ok.

Very disappointing experience. The sev puri was poorly made—raw potatoes, cucumber (which felt odd), and just blobs of chutney. The mango lassi was overpriced at €6.50 for a small bottle. Definitely not recommended.

I liked Kailash a lot, but I went yesterday and honestly the quality dropped a lot. They certainly changed the mango lassi recipe, the food was also different, for the worse. Unfortunately it was a restaurant that we frequented many times, but yesterday was the last time.

What a wonderful pure vegetarian restaurant! The food was so delicious that it reminded me of the flavours of my homeland, India. We ordered multiple items, including vada pav, dabeli, dahi chaat, tea, chole bhature, and ice cream. It’s essential to make a reservation here because almost all the tables are booked in advance. During our first visit to Amsterdam, we didn't know a reservation was required, but we were lucky to get a table temporarily. On our next visit, we made a reservation, making our dining experience much more comfortable.

I recently dined at this restaurant on last Sunday. The ambience was lovely, and the food was amazing. However there were two waitresses who lacks proper training on serving the customer. We were in between of finishing our main course and one of the waitress came to ask if she can bring the dessert now 😂. They both seemed to be condescending.

We tried Panipuri, aloo tikki and paneer manchurian. The taste is really amazing, it feels like if I am eating in India. Also tried the chaat platter. Only thing I feel that they add saunf to Mango lassi which I found a bit weird.

Great restaurant to enjoy vegetarian Indian dishes from various regions. Some of the items have very authentic taste, others are passable. High on hygiene, recommended for vegetarians.

Absolutely incredible experience! The food is authentic and absolutely delicious, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant felt like a warm hug! Food was good. We order a lot of items as we were hungry. There are a lot of tables stuffed into a small area, but the staff did a good job of serving and accommodating.

We went there on Sunday afternoon and realise that they offer only very small menu on Sunday between 2:30 to 5: 30 or something. There wasn't even Naan or paratha on the menu. Only one paneer sabji. The quality wasn't that great as well.

I ordered food via uber eats. The order was incomplete. They only gave me the pav and no bhajji. Also they just gave me the Patice, no Ragda. Upon calling them they agreed that they’ve made a mistake but then asked me to reorder something small from uber so that they can send the missing items from the previous order. They also try to blame their staff of being young and part-timers instead of taking responsibility. In the end to create such a helpless scenario for a customer is unheard of.

Nice restaurant with a small little terasse overlooking a channel. Unfortunately even the food that wasn't marked as specifically spicy was beyond my spice tolerance. So I guess be aware of high spice levels if you have a european palate.

The food is good and the price is value for money. Staff is super friendly. Point of attention, they use extreme lot of garlic in palak paneer, Bada pav and more to a point it diminishes the great taste of fast food. . One might regret ordering these items :-(

One of the best Indian Restaurant I found in abroad. Visited lots of places London, Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Austria, Germamy, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Netherlands. But some place we find food delicious but staff not good then in some place staff good but less space. But this Kailash Parbat in Amsterdam is one of the best have all thing perfect food was delicious, staff were well respectful and ambiance was awesome. Went two times same place because of that. The food and service were great. However, I find it very odd that at a pure veg Indian restaurant such as Kailash parbat employs staff who in fact do consume meat. This is counterintuitive to the concept of the restaurant as me being a pure vegetarian don’t wanna eat food served by people who aren’t vegetarian. In my opinion, the staff should be strictly vegetarian people only. This is highly unprofessional.

The food was amazing & very versatile. Rich & unique flavor. The staff was amazing as well particularly our host Ahmed. Highly recommended if you want to experience authentic Indian cuisine.
