The food at Kees's is good, but nothing special. The atmosphere was very nice and the service friendly.

Today I called the restaurant with a question about a reservation. I got a computer voice named Kees🙄. I found that strange, because that's not exactly hospitable for a restaurant. After answering a few questions, I was finally connected to someone from the restaurant. This young woman answered with "hello🤔"... Downside number two. Then another unclear answer to my question, which ultimately led us to cancel the reservation. Maybe I should reconsider this "hospitality" a bit. I'll skip this from now on.

Yesterday, after a long time, I ate at Kees's again. How the quality of the food has deteriorated! A hamburger that was far too dry, three-quarters of which we sent back. (The waitress's reaction was nonexistent.) The cod fillet I ordered was served with some vegetables—if you can even call them vegetables—and only a small cone of fries. And honestly: how dare you charge €6.65 for a bottle of water? Kees's management, this is really not going well with the way you're currently serving food. You won't be seeing me again!

Had lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The food was delicious, the fried eggs were generously filled and perfectly cooked. The carpaccio sandwich was also packed with ingredients. Definitely not expensive, excellent value for money.

I ordered the complete omelette here. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. On the bottom were mushrooms that clearly came from a jar. It's best not to offer them with the omelette at all. No mushrooms are always better than mushrooms from a jar. The slices of bread were also cut far too thick, and the omelette lacked flavor; it was bland and boring. Also, a tip for the service: if a guest asks for green tea, serve actual green tea. Twice, I received a bag of verbena tea in a green cellophane wrapper instead. That's green packaging, but verbena tea is not green tea. It's a shame this has gone wrong twice already.

I had ordered an extensive lunch for ten people, which was disappointing, sorry to hear, I had expected something completely different, it was a disguised hythea, I had hardly eaten anything myself, it was very scarce and only a few snacks for me, never again and it was my birthday, what struck me was three large plates immediately a kind of ragout of mushrooms, why not a plate and something else with it, nobody liked that but I had to pay for it, so I will never go there again and this was also not the agreement, sorry to hear

We stopped on route to the ferry port, for lunch. Just googled for any restaurant near the ferry port and thankfully this one showed. Glad we made the decision to stop here for lunch. The food was very tasty and the setting was very clean. The service we received was brilliant.

Good evening. The farm chicken could have been a bit bigger for €25.50. The service was also good and they didn't look away, which was great.

Last Friday evening, we had a reservation for 8:15 pm with four friends. Upon arrival, we were asked if we still wanted dinner. The kitchen was closing, and the chef was already cleaning up. Yes, because we had a reservation! The food was abysmal. A bowl of snotty beef stew (with bits of fat and sinew) and a bag of fries for €22. There was less than €5 worth of food on my plate. The waitress came to the table with a bucket and a cloth to ask if it was good. We were sitting outside on the terrace and were joined by a rather large rat. We pointed this out to the waitress, to which she replied, "Yes, we know, but luckily they're not inside yet." Uh, no, but we're sitting outside! We quickly paid the exorbitant bill and settled on another terrace in Barendrecht. What a huge disappointment!

We had a wonderful dinner at KEES! The stew was wonderfully tender and exquisitely flavorful! The cod fillet was also well-prepared, though a bit on the small side. The risotto was delicious and a generous plate! All in all, a wonderful meal! The staff is very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend it!

Wasn't great. Cod fillet was fried too long, and quite a few large bones in it. You pay 26.50 for that. Cesar salad had no dressing and there were a few large pieces of bread on it that were dry and toasted for too long. Dessert affogato with pistachio ice cream, little pistachio flavor in the ice cream.

For the second time I had lunch, I had an uitsmijter with everything. It was not bad but also nothing special, I would not want mushrooms on it next time. The last time I had a BLT. That was also okay in terms of taste. Only I wonder if the chef tries to eat this himself?! It was like they had built a tower with food! It was impossible for me to eat it normally. In my opinion they try too hard to make it look nice and the taste is a bit forgotten.

Had lunch here today. The food was unfortunately very disappointing. Caesar salad for 18 euros. I expect something. Unfortunately, wholesale junk. Parmesan shavings from a container from the supermarket. No anchovies. Some bacon dripping with fat thrown on top. Unimaginative and tasteless. No croutons but 2 small pieces of dried out bread on top. Even a self-respecting chef wouldn't be happy with this. Before paying, I had to go on a quest to find the staff. I eventually found all 4 of them in the back of the restaurant where they were watching internet videos. I thought the price-quality ratio was really worthless.

Kees is a great place to be, plenty of choice. And very friendly staff. When the weather is nice, it's lovely to sit outside.

Without a reservation on this busy Saturday night we found a table, and then another table because it was a bit cozier. Had delicious glasses of wine (pino grigio and a tasty primitivo from Italy) then picked out two quick dishes (it was veeeery busy) a stew and a hamburger dish. Very good, taste was good, portions generous. We accidentally got an extra portion of fries :). Service was, despite the crowd, attentive and sharp and cheerfully friendly = compliment! Just good, we will definitely come back but then we will make a reservation ;).

Portion sufficient. Fries fine, quite small portion, no vegetables Some salad had to be ordered separately. All in all a fun thing to do. Price quality a bit on the high side.

Super nice place! Price and quality match well with each other, the service is great and the dishes were well prepared. The menu is not very thick but the dishes on it were, as said, well prepared! Furthermore, you can put your electric car on the charger, but there are only 2 places, with public transport it is also easy to reach, a stone's throw from the metro, and by car you are also in the city of Rotterdam! Last night we had dinner here with the family to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday, but unfortunately it was a complete disaster. The problems started with the starter: due to miscommunication, one of the six people at our table only received his dish when the rest had already finished eating. Then the vegan in our party got a “vegan” salad with egg with her vegan burger. As if that wasn't bad enough, four of the six main courses were cold. When we pointed this out to the staff, they took the plates back and “heated” them on something they called a hot plate. Unfortunately the food was still cold inside. Only after returning three times did we finally receive new dishes—until then we always received the same plates back, simply warmed up. This whole process took far too long, so almost everyone ended up having to eat separately. When the last two people finally got their food, the rest of the table had already finished. Until they had finally finished eating, the empty plates with leftover food remained on the table. Now it was winter, but if it had been summer, the restaurant would probably have been full of flies. Tasty… When we raised the issues with the manager we were not impressed with the response or knowledge of the staff. The chef didn't even dare to show his face. Instead of really looking for a solution, only excuses were given, and according to some employees this is happening often. Eventually some drinks were taken off the bill, but only because it was a birthday. The manager even indicated that under normal circumstances she would have simply canceled the bill, rather than attempting to resolve the issue in the first place. All in all a very disappointing experience. We won't be coming back here again.

Teleurstellende ervaring – hier komen we niet terug Afgelopen avond ben ik hier met mijn familie gaan eten om mijn verjaardag te vieren, maar helaas was het een enorme tegenvaller. De eerste problemen begonnen al bij het voorgerecht. Door een miscommunicatie kreeg één van ons zijn gerecht pas toen de rest al klaar was met eten. Vervolgens werd de veganist in ons gezelschap een “vegan” salade geserveerd, waar gewoon ei in zat. Daarna ging het van kwaad tot erger. Vier van de zes hoofdgerechten werden koud geserveerd. Toen we dit meldden, namen de medewerkers de borden mee en verwarmden ze deze op iets wat zij een “warme plaat” noemden. Helaas was het eten nog steeds koud van binnen. Pas na drie keer terugsturen kregen we eindelijk nieuwe gerechten—tot die tijd kregen we steeds dezelfde borden terug, simpelweg opgewarmd. Dit hele proces duurde zo lang dat bijna iedereen apart moest eten. Tegen de tijd dat de laatste twee personen hun maaltijd eindelijk kregen, was de rest van ons al lang klaar. Toch bleven de lege borden met etensresten op tafel staan tot iedereen klaar was. Toen we de situatie bespraken met de bedrijfsleidster, kregen we weinig begripvolle reacties. De chef-kok liet zich niet eens zien, en in plaats van een oplossing kwamen er alleen maar excuses. Een medewerker liet zelfs doorschemeren dat zulke problemen hier vaker voorkomen. Uiteindelijk werden er een paar drankjes van de rekening gehaald, maar alleen omdat het een verjaardag was. De manager gaf zelfs aan dat ze onder normale omstandigheden gewoon de rekening had geannuleerd, in plaats van überhaupt te proberen het probleem op te lossen. Kortom, een bijzonder teleurstellende ervaring. Dit was de eerste en meteen ook de laatste keer dat we hier hebben gegeten. Als de chef-kok wel met ons gesproken zou hebben hadden we misschien overwogen om nog een keer te gaan. Maar helaas, een echte chef praat wel met gasten.

We hebben hier uitstekend gegeten . Prijs-, kwaliteitverhoudng is goed. Bediening is geweldig, erg beleefd. Restaurant was in kerstsfeer, heel gezellig en niet overdreven. Geen harde muziek maar rustige achtergrond muziek. Het was niet de eerste keer dat we hier waren , maar het overtrof alle andere bezoeken.Een aanrader!

Ate a Poussin last week. That's a small chicken. The menu was very limited, I had a choice between salad or fries. Finally got fries. So a small chicken and a bag of fries. And now the price is 25.5 euros. This is completely out of proportion to what is presented. Purely a revenue model. Too bad, because the restaurant and staff show a conviviality. Only this menu was not worthy of Kees.

Vroeger super leuk. Nu een blamage met veel te jonge en ongeïnteresseerde bediening. Eten is best redelijk maar bij commentaar krijg je een asociale en reactie. Personeel is meer op zijn plaats in een winkel dan als gastheer/vrouw. Zoals je kunt lezen is dit zeker niet de enige mindere beoordeling, steeds een reactie dat ze er iets mee doen maar dat gebeurt kennelijk niet. Op deze manier kan dit nooit veel langer zo doorgaan vrees ik.

Kees is Kees niet meer. Eerst een stofpotje. Smaakte lekker totdat ik op de bodem een stuk spek van 4x6(!) cm vond. In een stoofpotje……. Toen maar de kipsate. Die was net aan gaar en heel taai. En bij beide gerechten (elk met hun specifieke smaak) werd truffelmayonaise geserveerd en een heel klein beetje patat. Komen er al jaren bij Kees maar nu niet meer. Prijs/kwaliteit is onvoldoende.

Delicious food! I came in with my family without an appointment, and we were seated immediately. My 2 eldest children immediately received a coloring page, pencils and games to play. They were sweet all evening. I could feed my 5-month-old baby quietly in a corner, and it didn't bother anyone. The atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious and the toilets were clean! Really great, definitely recommended. Pricey, but we had something to celebrate as a family, so it was worth it again.
