Had a lovely meal here. The lady that served us was wonderful: competent, a joy to speak and spoke great English. I had a nice salmon salad.

I was here on Saturday with my family.... The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

The food is excellent, the service friendly. For a pleasant, quick meal at a good price, it's definitely a good choice. They do close at 9 p.m. They'll wait on you politely if you're staying a bit longer, but at the same time, it's clear that the evening is over with, with dustpans and mops. And rightly so – closing time is closing time. However, the guest doesn't always have control over the turnaround time.

Located right next to the ABC Westland wholesale market. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely fine, but nothing special. Still, a nice place to unwind and unwind in the evening.

I have enjoyed coming to Ketjes Mix for years, ever since they were at Kijkduin, but my last visit was really disappointing. I ordered a Ketjes Mix club sandwich with white bread but I got corn bread. Corn bread is included as standard, but I have been ordering this with white bread for years. When I pointed this out, an argument ensued with the server who insisted that this was “their white bread”. Very strange, because I have been ordering this here for years and I really know the difference. I ended up getting a new white bread sandwich, but the bacon was burnt. In the first part I removed the black pieces, but in the second part the bacon was completely black (see photo 1). I reported this and new bacon was added – unfortunately this didn't look much better as the sandwich was now covered in black butter (see photo 2). As compensation, we were offered free drinks and promised that the club sandwich would be taken off the bill. But when paying it turned out that we still had to pay for one of these offered drinks. No apology, no accountability – very disappointing. It's a shame that a place I always enjoyed visiting has deteriorated so much.

Called on Sunday for a reservation, asked what time breakfast was served and was told that there was no time limit. Upon arrival, the reservation was not known and was informed that breakfast was only until 12 noon instead of apologizing and checking to see if there was still a table available. The lady thought it was a good idea to find out the problem first instead of solving it, so I decided to go somewhere else.

We have often had breakfast/lunch at Ketjes Mix, often with a large group, always TOP! Yesterday we had lunch with 13 people because of a birthday. Well, it wasn't really festive this time, some of the staff were very moody. I had made a reservation for 12 people instead of 13, stupid, sorry, my fault... but that would be solved so easily you would think. One more chair, done. But no, I was immediately (angrily) told that it was not possible, they were full, no more chairs available, I should have paid more attention when making a reservation. Completely right, but you still look for a solution?! A chair from the terrace perhaps? Almost all were free. No more chairs were allowed on the end side (?) There must be a reason for that, but we were not told. In the end there turned out to be several tables available and a table + chair were even added. So it was solved so easily, why then lash out at your customers like that? A waitress was accidentally bumped into, spilling some water, and she cursed loudly, totally inappropriate! The same waitress arrived with plates of food and reacted very irritated when serving, we apparently did not react quickly enough. Too bad, such moody/grumpy staff, this really put a damper on our outing. We have never experienced this before at Ketjes Mix. The food was delicious as always, nothing wrong with it, great! But we will skip Ketjes Mix for now.

Great place for lunch!! They have an extensive lunch menu and delicious sandwiches. It is certainly not too expensive and everything is neat and clean. The staff is friendly and there is a pleasant atmosphere. We like coming here☺️

From the outside you think...hmmm, place on the road in the middle of nowhere. But what a great thing. Delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices. And top staff and pleasant. Spare ribs are excellent. One of our favorites. And then the club sandwich... just as good as Monsigneur Paul's in Maassluis. Another advantage: the lunch menu remains valid in the evening if you are not very hungry. Some things have it, including this one. Another example is Westgaag in Maasdijk, similar atmosphere and approach. Just very good. Addition early 2025: the salads are also fantastic. Special compliments for Annette, fast, correct and pleasant, if only the staff were like this everywhere! Keep it up people.

Went to eat with my mother. My mother has been a regular guest for years, it was the first time for me. Nice, free parking in front of the door! We were kindly received and guided to our favorite spot. The menu is not very extensive, but we opted for steak and spareribs. Both were tasty, including the fries. Friendly staff, will definitely come back.

Mwoah. Not great, not terrible. English hamburger was dirty, had no taste, looked like it was vegetarian. Spareribs had a nice marinade but no sauce. Pork sateh was okay, with tasty peanut sauce. Steak tasted good, but was actually too raw. 1 basket of fries for four people was not enough, but you are not going to order another portion because that is too much. There was far too little vegetable/lettuce. In terms of level, it is a cafe, fries and meat, in fact it is also a large bar with a few tables. Prices are reasonable. Don't expect a restaurant.

We don't live next door, but we still come here a few times a year because of the fantastic sandwiches, and we already know this place from Kijkduin. Today unfortunately a disappointing experience. Three times people came in after us, they could immediately order something to drink, but we were completely ignored. The people right next to us also arrived later, could immediately order drinks, and when their drinks were brought they could order food. We weren't even looked at. After waiting twenty minutes we left, we are not going to drive for another 45 minutes for this. Three stars because we have enjoyed eating here in the past, but we will not go here again.

I'm normally not one of those people who writes bad reviews. Sometimes you have those dinners where it is not always to your satisfaction. I guess that could happen. Because I had eaten there before and it was really okay, I now really thought I should write something about it here. Let me first write that it tasted great. Atmosphere was good, but not many guests on May 4. Apparently fewer guests because of May 4? Don't know... music off at 8 p.m. and 2 minutes of silence as it should be. A smoked salmon as an appetizer…. Although the taste was quite good, the plate did not look good. I really thought that a handful of salad had been dumped on the plate and some strips of salmon had been thrown on top. This would be 'finished' with 4 drops of sauce on the edges. Sorry, but it was a mess. Main course: cod fillet. Again... tastes great, but this time it was overcooked and fell apart on my plate. And here too it looked like the vegetables/lettuce had been dumped onto the plate. A plate should look nice and invite you to eat. I missed that. In terms of taste, Ketjes Mix scores a nice 8 as far as I'm concerned, but a 4.5 for the peripheral matters that are also very important. Also had quite a few annoyances because the service started cleaning while guests were still eating. As a result, the attention paid to the guests decreased somewhat. Price was okay, but a bottle of chaudfontaine water for 7.25?!

Nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere - friendly staff - nice menu with reasonable prices and sufficient choice - we unexpectedly went there on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and were offered the last 2 places (snapshot), so reservations may be wise. The pork satay was really excellent, I thought the satay sauce was a bit bland. The tartare could also have a little more spice. There were more than enough parking spaces. Clean toilets. We will definitely come back there.

I was there for breakfast with friends on Sunday. I still know Ketje's from before where they had their restaurant on the beach. I didn't know the new restaurant yet. Very nicely decorated. Nice personel. Lovely again. Breakfast costs €13.00 per person. It consists of a hot drink, 1 glass of orange juice, jam, butter, 1 white baguette, 1 brown baguette, 1 croissant, smoked salmon, slice of cheese, cooked ham, roast beef and a fried egg.

They had to move from the old, very beautiful location in Kijkduin... too bad! But here too the high quality has been maintained. My tip: Have breakfast there on Sunday! Recommended! 👍🏻

I'm normally not one for writing reviews and certainly not bad ones. Unfortunately today. Ate here today and again not as I was used to. (We have been coming to Ketjesmix for a long time, always enjoying a breath of fresh air on the beach when they were still on the delta square.) Ordered soup today and then an omelet with cheese, tomato and mushroom. I have been eating this regularly for a few years now. However, the previous 2 times there was unfortunately no tomato in the omelet. I also said something about this at the time and was offered a cup of coffee for that. Very neat. Now there was tomato, but it seemed to have been pushed in at the last minute. Just wash cold raw tomato, not prepared with the rest of the omelette. What was actually even more annoying today: Everything was served at the same time. (See photo) so I ate the soup in a hurry and then also ate the omelette in a hurry to get it still slightly warm. When serving, the staff also looked strange that everything came at the same time and I said something about it, but unfortunately nothing was really done with it. Hence a lower score. All in all, I noticed some areas for improvement during the last 3 visits and shared this with the staff. It no longer really resembles the Ketjesmix I am used to. Hopefully better next time. The food was otherwise fine, but did not meet expectations and due to serving everything at the same time, the temperature was no longer optimal, hence 3 stars for the food.
