Food, unfortunately I literally got sick from it.. no/very little flavor, some pieces of chicken I ordered were lukewarm and not crispy. Wings were good but just not flavorful. Couldn't even manage a greeting to the staff. Even though it was very quiet. Atmosphere. Yes, there were a number of young people who were quite noisy. So bad that people were even moving around. The manager really should say something about that ;)

Man with a weird accent and big arms standing by the drive; he is very sweet, strong, handsome, and beautiful. He was very nice, truly incredible respect for that man.

During our visit to the KFC in Emmen, the hygiene in the restaurant was a major disappointment, even though it wasn't busy at all at the time and there were few people inside. Upon entering, the floors were extremely sticky and virtually all tables were covered in crumbs and discarded trash. The tables felt so sticky that it was completely unappetizing to sit at them, but then again, all the tables were like that, so we didn't have much choice. Additionally, the staff paid absolutely no attention to you and you were completely ignored as a customer; they just walked right past you when you stood at the counter. Moreover, the food took about 20 minutes to arrive. That is already on the long side for a fast-food restaurant, but especially when it is quiet and in an environment that is so unkempt and dirty, your appetite quickly disappears. Precisely when it is not busy, you should expect the staff to take the time to keep the tables and floors clean for the guests. Not recommended and we certainly won't be coming back.

Terrible place with arrogant staff. They don't care about the burger being cold, it's disgusting, never again.

It says the restaurant is open until 11 and the drive-thru until 12, but at a quarter past 10 they already closed the doors preventing entry. Bad way of doing business. If you advertise something, follow through.

The drinks were not good, the food was too dry

I got to the drive-thru and wanted a milkshake. They didn't have any. So I ended up choosing something else and some corn on the side. Got to the window, paid, and was told: “We’re out of corn, man.” Oh, and now what? “We can give you your money back.” Okay, fine, we’ll do that. Paid by card and got cash back. What a terrible place, I’m never coming back here! First they don't have this, then they don't have that; with such a selection, they’d be better off closing down.

I love kfc and will keep on ordering from here. But its a fast food chain, food should not be longer than 20-30 minutes. Hire more people so its faster, what's the purpose of opening up fast food chain if we have to wait longer than a normal restaurant.

What a terrible place. I seriously waited 20 minutes for my food. The staff shortage was very obvious and they only spoke English. No Dutch. And Spanish among themselves. Total chaos in the kitchen. Everyone was just doing whatever they wanted. The food was tasty, though, but this is really ridiculous. Waiting 20 minutes in a fast-food restaurant. I am really NEVER going here again. Yuck. Hire more staff first.

It says online that the drive-thru is open until 1:00 AM on Thursdays. We drove up at 0:25 AM. The lights were on, but you couldn't hear anything. The car in front of us was thinking the same thing: I'll just go to McDonald's.

The food is prepared quickly, but this is already the second time I received something different than what I ordered, and that is a real shame. For a quick bite, this is okay.

The staff is not capable enough to prepare the correct order. When you point this out to them, they still don't get it. Knocking over a 1-year-old child because you disagree with them! Staff without manners, a long wait, and on top of that, not receiving the entire order. We thought we were just having a nice meal at KFC with the kids. After waiting for our food for almost 45 minutes, we received food with attitude. When we pointed out that we had to wait a long time for our food while the restaurant was practically empty and there were hardly any cars in the drive-thru, and the disappointment that the order was also incorrect, we received the answer: "Yeah, not my problem, this is where you do it!" THEN THE MADMAN STORMED AWAY WHILE HUNTING INTO MY 1-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER!!! No apologies or even a sign of shame; the lady just walked on. Subsequently, I walked over to demand my money back; we aren't going to eat in a place like that. According to the manager, we didn't get anything back because we received some food. The fact that this wasn't our order apparently didn't matter. We are NEVER coming here again!!

After a long day with the kids, we were in the mood for KFC. We drove to the driveway and placed an order, but it wasn't really what we wanted. Because the staff working there didn't really understand what we were in the mood for, we didn't order much. Two large orders that normally should never go wrong. In the back of our minds, we had the idea that we would continue on to McDonald's and continue ordering there. We picked up our order at McDonald's and drove home, a 15-minute drive. When we got home, the hot wings were completely different, although there were hot wings on the lid. We drove back with the kids' sadness and disappointment. The staff there were so inhumane. That woman with the headscarf was screaming non-stop. Instead of offering an apology, the atmosphere was unpleasant. I didn't pick up any food. I didn't have a good feeling about it anymore, and my appetite was suddenly gone. They still need to learn how to handle mistakes and wrap things up properly. The other fast food chains are much better at that. Of course, they make mistakes too, but they resolve them nicely.

It is really filthy here, waited 45 minutes for my order. The fries arrived cold. The chicken was still frozen inside. We ordered a coconut milkshake and a pistachio. We got vanilla twice; there is other people's trash on the table that seems to have been there all day. I wouldn't go here.

You know in advance that you will actually always be disappointed afterwards... This time a cold and tough burger (Colonel Stacker). The service was quick, though, unlike the average KFC where you have to wait at least 15 minutes. And as for the atmosphere, a two for the effort.

On Sunday, they had already closed the doors before 10:00 PM, so customers could not enter. Although the employees saw us standing at the door, they did not open it. Eventually, other customers opened the door for us. Additionally, it always takes a very long time to receive our order, and something is missing from every single order.

Tables are not cleaned. Really all the tables, and the chairs too, were more than filthy. Crumbs, sauce, and fries on the table, that sort of thing. Service was quite slow. Part of the restaurant's seating area was cordoned off. The remaining section was therefore way too crowded, resulting in unnecessarily "packed like sardines." Fries were crispy and tasty. Crispy tenders were pale and had been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. One burger bun was fine, the other dried out. Burgers were the same; one was good and the other wasn't. Hot wings were decent. Moist wipes to wash your hands afterwards are no longer provided. According to a rather slow-witted employee, they "stopped doing that four months ago." Drinks? Pour them yourself. Napkins? You have to ask for them because they aren't included with the order as standard. All in all: Severely substandard. Edit May 2026: I went back there and it has only gotten worse. Inside even dirtier than last time. Turned around under the motto "Through the Drive-Thru then." When we did that, I was spoken to in incredibly broken Dutch (it happens; finding staff who speak good Dutch, or any Dutch at all, is hard these days) in a downright rude and impolite manner (that really isn't allowed) by someone who talks and sounds like a bored gang member. Man, oh man. And to think that fast food restaurants normally have the most polite and articulate of the bunch take the orders. That might say something about the rest of the staff, though? Fortunately, we were able to turn around in the Drive-Thru, because by then I was really, completely fed up with it.

I actually just had the KFC experience there, like everywhere else in Europe: fast, tasty, and I didn't get a receipt from the machine, but that was resolved quickly and in a friendly manner. I didn't eat inside, but the restaurant area was just clean. I went on a Wednesday at lunchtime.

20-05-2026 Just arrived at the KFC in Emmen at 23:15. Checked the opening hours beforehand (closed at midnight). There was a long line at the drive-thru. Once at the ordering station, we were informed in English that nothing more could be ordered today. Because of this, we had to drive on, just like many people in front of and behind us. I think this is very bad! Just adjust your opening hours then...

We ordered through Thuisbezorgd, but the burgers arrived without the sause. Thankfully, when we contacted the KFC next day, the manager was so nice and helpful, and we were able to fix the issue fast. Overall a good experience, just wish the restaurant contacted us about problems with the order before sending it out :)

OMG, this chicken is seriously amazing! You absolutely have to try it if you're in the area, and the preparation was really quick and clean.

We drove through the drive-in a couple of weeks ago. We were told we could only order inside. We drove on to McDonald's. The staff were hard to understand. This was the last time. The place should go bankrupt, stupid nonsense.

It was the first time we were here. We had ordered 2 burgers with table service. After 45 minutes, still nothing to eat. I walked over. The woman took my receipt, pulled 2 burgers from the rack, pressed them into my hand, and told me to make do. And if they had been really tasty and warm, it might have been worth the 45 minutes🥴 but that wasn't the case either. Unfortunately, only once and not again. What a shame!!

You would expect a fast-food restaurant to have the food ready quickly. After waiting for an hour, I had had enough. We asked for our money back and drove to McDonald's. The counter is also simply left unmanned. Not recommended.

Until recently, I was very satisfied with this KFC, but the last few times we've had to wait a very long time for our order. I think the drive-through and home delivery take priority over customers who want to eat in the restaurant. Yesterday I waited for forty-five minutes, and when I inquired at the counter about the status of our order, it was prepared immediately. As far as I'm concerned, just get rid of those self-ordering kiosks and wait your turn in line. That would be a lot faster.

Things went better for a while, but in 2026 I still haven't received a complete order. Something is missing every time: from all the fries to tenders…. Not anymore for the time being.

Friday evening, 11:00 PM. The plan was to grab a quick bite at KFC after a night out. But things turned out differently; although the sign on the door states that this branch in Emmen is open until 1:00 AM, we couldn't get in. The doors were closed and all the chairs had already been placed on the tables for cleaning. Incomprehensible, but fortunately, the McDonald's is nearby and still open around this time, and we had a delicious meal there.

As is often the case, the food is good, but the cleanliness of the establishment leaves something to be desired.

I stood at the checkout for a very long time. Eventually, someone came over after about fifteen minutes. The staff is very unfriendly. The floor is sticky and super dirty, with rubbish everywhere on the ground; the trash can is completely full.

Don't go there. Chicken undercooked for the 2nd time. Hygiene is practically non-existent… It makes my intestines ache.

We had to wait 45 minutes, and after 20 minutes, I asked why it was taking so long. The answer was, "It's incredibly busy!" There was barely any traffic and almost no one came in. People after us got their food almost immediately! That was definitely the last time I went there with my family! 😡😡😡

The Screen for order doesnt register the orders that are ready for pickup. It will say "in preparation" even though the order is ready, and you wont hear a callout. Also they often "accidentally" forget to put sauces.

The food is good, the restaurant looks good in general, but the rest is disappointing. Employee 1 dropped a cola right in front of the counter. He was confronted about this and literally said, "That is not my problem," and went to chat with a colleague. Several employees ignored the cola. After 20 minutes (how long you can wait for a simple order), the puddle of cola was finally noticed by another employee, and an attempt was made to clean it up. The result was a sticky floor covering an area three times the size of where the cola was initially. The counter was full of wet trays that were being used for new orders.

Picking something up is a disaster. It was supposed to take 10 minutes. It turned into 70 minutes. Nothing was said, listened to, or an apology was given. Half-empty containers. Not enough sauce, not even half-empty cups of drinks. I say just turn it into an Easter bonfire.

My chicken bites were lukewarm and not fresh, and the bun on my burger was dry. Additionally, the staff tosses your food onto the table without saying anything: no "please" or "enjoy your meal," even when you say thank you.

When we entered, it smelled incredibly chlorine, which immediately hit our lungs. We were the only ones in the entire KFC and had to wait a good 40 minutes. The fries were cold and the food tasteless. Absolutely awful.

The toilet had a very strong chlorine smell, which made my eyes burn and made it difficult to breathe. There was also no soap, which was very unpleasant.
