Really terrible experience, the food was lukewarm and even though it was reasonably quiet, I still had to wait 40 minutes.

The staff has really deteriorated over the years We ordered food, everything was cold I used to work at KFC myself, so I know how to serve the food If you go back to them, you get a rude response You have to heat the Twister in a special device and it's not the same as the burgers

What a nightmare. One Colonel Stacker and a Coke. Waiting for over 28 minutes. And making inquiries. They don't understand me. They only speak English.

The staff barely understands Dutch; wrong orders twice. At the very least, put a decent Dutch-speaking employee there.

On Sunday, they had already closed the doors before 10:00 PM, so customers could not enter. Although the employees saw us standing at the door, they did not open it. Eventually, other customers opened the door for us. Additionally, it always takes a very long time to receive our order, and something is missing from every single order.

Its just a great KFC...open till midnight and convenient 😊

Tables are not cleaned. Really all the tables, and the chairs too, were more than filthy. Crumbs, sauce, and fries on the table, that sort of thing. Service was quite slow. Part of the restaurant's seating area was cordoned off. The remaining section was therefore way too crowded, resulting in unnecessarily "packed like sardines." Fries were crispy and tasty. Crispy tenders were pale and had been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. One burger bun was fine, the other dried out. Burgers were the same; one was good and the other wasn't. Hot wings were decent. Moist wipes to wash your hands afterwards are no longer provided. According to a rather slow-witted employee, they "stopped doing that four months ago." Drinks? Pour them yourself. Napkins? You have to ask for them because they aren't included with the order as standard. All in all: Severely substandard. Edit May 2026: I went back there and it has only gotten worse. Inside even dirtier than last time. Turned around under the motto "Through the Drive-Thru then." When we did that, I was spoken to in incredibly broken Dutch (it happens; finding staff who speak good Dutch, or any Dutch at all, is hard these days) in a downright rude and impolite manner (that really isn't allowed) by someone who talks and sounds like a bored gang member. Man, oh man. And to think that fast food restaurants normally have the most polite and articulate of the bunch take the orders. That might say something about the rest of the staff, though? Fortunately, we were able to turn around in the Drive-Thru, because by then I was really, completely fed up with it.

I actually just had the KFC experience there, like everywhere else in Europe: fast, tasty, and I didn't get a receipt from the machine, but that was resolved quickly and in a friendly manner. I didn't eat inside, but the restaurant area was just clean. I went on a Wednesday at lunchtime.

20-05-2026 Just arrived at the KFC in Emmen at 23:15. Checked the opening hours beforehand (closed at midnight). There was a long line at the drive-thru. Once at the ordering station, we were informed in English that nothing more could be ordered today. Because of this, we had to drive on, just like many people in front of and behind us. I think this is very bad! Just adjust your opening hours then...

We ordered through Thuisbezorgd, but the burgers arrived without the sause. Thankfully, when we contacted the KFC next day, the manager was so nice and helpful, and we were able to fix the issue fast. Overall a good experience, just wish the restaurant contacted us about problems with the order before sending it out :)

Typical fast food, nothing special

OMG, this chicken is seriously amazing! You absolutely have to try it if you're in the area, and the preparation was really quick and clean.

We drove through the drive-in a couple of weeks ago. We were told we could only order inside. We drove on to McDonald's. The staff were hard to understand. This was the last time. The place should go bankrupt, stupid nonsense.

It was the first time we were here. We had ordered 2 burgers with table service. After 45 minutes, still nothing to eat. I walked over. The woman took my receipt, pulled 2 burgers from the rack, pressed them into my hand, and told me to make do. And if they had been really tasty and warm, it might have been worth the 45 minutes🥴 but that wasn't the case either. Unfortunately, only once and not again. What a shame!!

Until recently, I was very satisfied with this KFC, but the last few times we've had to wait a very long time for our order. I think the drive-through and home delivery take priority over customers who want to eat in the restaurant. Yesterday I waited for forty-five minutes, and when I inquired at the counter about the status of our order, it was prepared immediately. As far as I'm concerned, just get rid of those self-ordering kiosks and wait your turn in line. That would be a lot faster.

Things went better for a while, but in 2026 I still haven't received a complete order. Something is missing every time: from all the fries to tenders…. Not anymore for the time being.

Friday evening, 11:00 PM. The plan was to grab a quick bite at KFC after a night out. But things turned out differently; although the sign on the door states that this branch in Emmen is open until 1:00 AM, we couldn't get in. The doors were closed and all the chairs had already been placed on the tables for cleaning. Incomprehensible, but fortunately, the McDonald's is nearby and still open around this time, and we had a delicious meal there.

I stood at the checkout for a very long time. Eventually, someone came over after about fifteen minutes. The staff is very unfriendly. The floor is sticky and super dirty, with rubbish everywhere on the ground; the trash can is completely full.

Don't go there. Chicken undercooked for the 2nd time. Hygiene is practically non-existent… It makes my intestines ache.

We had to wait 45 minutes, and after 20 minutes, I asked why it was taking so long. The answer was, "It's incredibly busy!" There was barely any traffic and almost no one came in. People after us got their food almost immediately! That was definitely the last time I went there with my family! 😡😡😡

Picking something up is a disaster. It was supposed to take 10 minutes. It turned into 70 minutes. Nothing was said, listened to, or an apology was given. Half-empty containers. Not enough sauce, not even half-empty cups of drinks. I say just turn it into an Easter bonfire.

The food is good, the restaurant looks good in general, but the rest is disappointing. Employee 1 dropped a cola right in front of the counter. He was confronted about this and literally said, "That is not my problem," and went to chat with a colleague. Several employees ignored the cola. After 20 minutes (how long you can wait for a simple order), the puddle of cola was finally noticed by another employee, and an attempt was made to clean it up. The result was a sticky floor covering an area three times the size of where the cola was initially. The counter was full of wet trays that were being used for new orders.

The Screen for order doesnt register the orders that are ready for pickup. It will say "in preparation" even though the order is ready, and you wont hear a callout. Also they often "accidentally" forget to put sauces.

My chicken bites were lukewarm and not fresh, and the bun on my burger was dry. Additionally, the staff tosses your food onto the table without saying anything: no "please" or "enjoy your meal," even when you say thank you.

The food is sometimes nice and fresh and hot, but sometimes it isn't. Sometimes there is a very long wait.

It is unbelievable that people can treat you like that. I will never go there again.

It's the worst KFC in the Netherlands! DO NOT GO HERE❗️❗️❗️ Today again, it was pathetic. The fries were so hard and old, like they'd been refried three times. The chicken was old and dry. I paid 41 euros for garbage! They should be ashamed of themselves here in Emmen. Close the place down and turn it into a Burger King.

A very young employee was at the order counter around 4:00 PM on Friday afternoon, dealing with people who didn't understand. There were also very few staff members around. I waited 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and then I left and went to the McDonald's. I'm not really writing a negative review; I think this one is appropriate.

Exactly what you'd expect from a fast-food restaurant. But I won't be ordering a menu with a chicken burger again. A soggy white bun with a chicken piece that's been sloppily thrown together. So next time, I'll order a bucket of spicy chicken wings.

Save yourself the agony and don't go here. You'll have to wait ages for your food, then be treated like dirt by incompetent, slow, and rude staff with no guidance. Want fast food? There's one a mile down the road that knows better. Should this KFC be locked up and never reopened?

If you try to order outside, someone who doesn't speak Dutch asks what you want. The food is getting more and more expensive; you practically don't get chicken, just fried food. Things are really going downhill in Emmen. Today I ordered a "zinger" (the one in the photo at the entrance), but it's more bread than meat. I advise against ordering. When you get home to New Amsterdam, there are no fries included. Worthless, worthless again, for the price you have to pay.

Everything was terrible! We ordered, waited over an hour for our food...the milkshake was watery, and they were difficult to get a new one...afterward, we discovered the order wasn't even complete! We paid €4.11 for something, and for what? Cups... but didn't get any money back!! The chicken wasn't crispy at all! It was disgusting, gross, and greasy. €50 wasted, and clearly, we're never going back there again!!

Yesterday, after about a year, I got something to eat here again with my daughter. The last time was a bad experience, but I thought I'd give it another try. When we entered, there were a few people in the restaurant, but we were the only ones ordering at the screen, and the drive-through was empty. We decided to eat it at home. We ended up waiting 55 minutes for a Bucket with a burger and fries! After 25 minutes, I politely asked how long it would take, but apparently, that didn't go over well. The employee (in the plaid shirt) wasn't actually cooking and couldn't do anything about it, but it wouldn't take more than 3 minutes. Finally, after another 15 minutes, I asked if it was almost ready and if the burger, which had been sitting there for 20 minutes, would still be warm. Then, as I was leaving, they mumbled something, and I was told again that there was nothing they could do about it, because the kitchen wasn't moving any faster, and that someone kept taking things away, so my order had to be remade. I noticed that many people in the restaurant were complaining about the extremely long wait times. A few people had been waiting for their food for over an hour, while the rest of the table had already finished their food for over 30 minutes. I found the staff very unfriendly. There were four or five people joking around behind the counter and they found the long wait times particularly amusing. I wonder who should be running things in a restaurant like this, or if they should perhaps hire someone to do it. This situation was simply unacceptable, especially not with the way they were addressing and treating us.

Tables and other surfaces are sticky as h€ll. Time to close the establishment for one day and conduct a major cleanup. Refunding statiegeld via Tikkie app seems to me like a scheme to rip off customers via obstruction/attrition. This breaks the straw for me to downgrade the ratings to one star in every category.

I left a great review a year ago, but I have to retract it now. Today I went with two people at 4 p.m. It was quite quiet for dinner, so we decided to order something, two small menus. The food didn't arrive until half an hour after ordering, even though there were only eight orders on the plate. The fries I ordered arrived ice cold, not even lukewarm. The staff barely spoke Dutch, which seems important to me for customer service. I'm very disappointed with this experience and how much this location has deteriorated. It wasn't due to a staff shortage, since there were at least five or six people working in the kitchen. The restaurant's atmosphere is nice, although it echoes so much that when a small child came in, you could barely hear each other. Several people also complained that it took too long.

A terrible place. It should have been a major asset to Emmen, but it's a huge flop. The staff is disinterested and completely devoid of responsibility. Norms and values ​​are nowhere to be found. My heavily pregnant wife and our daughter ordered food. First of all, it took ages, and then, as a pregnant woman, after half a sandwich, she discovered the chicken was still raw. She was sick for a week. Shame on you! If you call to say the chicken was still raw, you're picked up and immediately hung up. The Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority needs to address this. And then there's the fact that there are rats roaming the grounds. It's truly awful.

We forgot to delete it from the system because we didn't get anything... a truly awful place. Terrible food, the burger was only half full of what it should have been. The manager is a jerk. He wouldn't fix anything. The iced tea was also gone, and the food was cold. Bad luck, sir, we're not going to fix that. What a... place. Never going back.

We went there because we were hungry...the food was okay, but a drink was missing. It was initially refused until a server finally brought it. The Meionese packaging is impossible to open. They didn't even have scissors to open it. By then, the food was cold. So bring scissors and check if your order is correct!
