Had to wait really way too long, and it's not the first time.

A beautiful building inside and out. But a toilet simply has to be neat and clean. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. The men's toilet is just 🤢 And as the cherry on top, there is no toilet paper in the holder either. How hard can it be to just check that? The sink was full of used paper towels. Which were also lying in the hot toilet.

Waiting an hour for two cold burgers, bizarre!

I think there were a lot of new staff members, which caused things to run very slowly and disorganized. The drive is outdated.

The food was cold, got the wrong burger 3 times, hot chicken in a Twister instead of a normal one, missing fries and sauce. This KFC is really a serious problem.

Just got a singer (wrap). It was good.

No staff, you can only order, no one cleans here. Unfortunately, you can't give 0 stars. The food is not good. The service is terrible.

I ordered a box with 15 chicken pieces here. You expect 15 nice pieces of chicken. That was disappointing. When I finished the box, I just went to Burger King for a menu.

I placed a small order of 6 chickens and 1 milkshake, ordering well over an hour and a half before closing time. After waiting an hour, I tried calling the restaurant to ask where my order was, but no one answered after multiple attempts. Half an hour later it was KFC's closing time and I still hadn't received my order. Half an hour after they closed, I received a text message stating that my order had indeed been cancelled and that I would get my money back. I find this very unreal and will never order from here again!

Much better than 2 or 3 years ago with all those Eritrean youngsters there. It looks much neater now too. Keep it up. Otherwise, no one will come anymore. Lots of FRIENDLY STAFF.

Haven't been for a while due to bad reviews and experiences. Gave another chance today anyway. What a breath of fresh air! The place seemed renovated, friendly staff. Food prepared quickly and simply warm and good! Hopefully they manage to maintain this level ☺️

Filthy place. What a disgrace. As soon as you walk in, you notice the floor is sticky. Trash is everywhere on empty tables and the tables are dirty. There is plenty of staff behind the counter, but they are mostly preoccupied with themselves. Loud music is playing and the staff are making a party out of it. Then the entire top floor is completely empty and there is trash on the tables everywhere. Everything is sticky and full trash bags are just lying around in the restaurant. And that’s not even mentioning the toilet. Truly filthy beyond words. Piss and filth everywhere. What a filthy place where the staff are very preoccupied with themselves. Not recommended.

Waited way, way, way too long for an ice cream. (An hour)

This used to be a good KFC, but nowadays it is really downright bad. I've had it happen a few times that there were no bags, and you often don't get napkins. And with the hot wing bucket deal on Wings Wednesday, hot wings were already unavailable at 5 o'clock. The restaurant is also often filthy.

What a mess, it took a very long time to get food, for once they didn't have hot wings. KFC without hot wings? What is this? Better go to another KFC!

I picked up food from the drive-thru yesterday from the smaller lady by the window; they forgot the chicken, forgot all the drinks, and forgot the corn. So, a large part of the order. I tried calling 6 more times but no one answered.

At 9 PM, the drive-through was temporarily closed due to “cash register counting,” one hour before closing.

Long waits for 10 years now. Poor organization in the kitchen and at the counter. Everything moves so slowly. The email says the order is ready for pickup, but upon arrival, 8 of us still have to be prepared. Unbelievable!!!!

One of the dirtiest KFCs I've ever been to. Sticky tables, paper and food scraps on the floor... No napkins, no lids for the drinks, and they forgot half the order. Good thing I was just passing through and probably won't be going back.

Hi. I'll start at the beginning. I drove up to KFC, really craving a milkshake. So, drive-in... The woman asked over the speaker if I had the discount code; I didn't, it was via the app, so I quickly downloaded it. Didn't work because I was typing the wrong keys with my fat fingers while rolling forward. Now I was there, and too late for the discount on my milkshake. There was a midget working there, the woman who took the order. She was super nice and let me off the hook; I got the discount without using the app. She smiled kindly as I drove away. Sometimes you have bad days, today was a good one, with a milkshake. KFC Apeldoorn, thanks.

Fortunately, I haven't been here for a few years now due to some bad experiences, but I still need to get something off my chest: After a nice evening of dining at the adjacent restaurant Orange, I walk outside and look directly at this eyesore-polluting place; the entire kitchen is packed with staff and all their friends "chilling" with music blasting. Few customers, but a place full of fortune seekers who have nothing to do with the Netherlands or Europe. As a Dutch person, you don't even feel at ease having to walk past this dump with your wife and children to get to the car. Ton Heerts, please close it down!!!

It says delivery quantity. They are standing through the cabin screaming your number in unclear language.

The fries were tasteless and soggy, and the kids' menu had 3 small pieces of chicken, and the toilets were dirty, so never again. It doesn't cost much, but it's not much either.

I arrived at 21:45 and the place was already closed? Even though closing time is 22:00.

1 star is already too much. They ran out of corn, so instead I got extra fries, which was perfectly fine. However, those fries were hours old and inedible. My Original Pieces were old, soggy, and lukewarm. The Colonelburger bun wasn't tasty and the chicken burgers weren't warm. We threw everything away. The only thing that was good was the Pepsi. Expensive Pepsi, that is...

Just really bad. Unfriendly, uninterested staff. Long wait times, it's filthy inside, and the food is terribly bad. The last time I was here I got lukewarm, tough chicken, and I was deathly ill the following week. Never again!

Shortage of staff. Picked up. Waited 20 minutes for the order, along with 15 other people waiting. Someone wanted to place an order at the cashier, called out to someone several times, but no one responded; she was served after 15 minutes. Food was prepared in the kitchen and placed under a heat lamp; it was full of it, but it wasn't served. It sat there for at least 15 minutes as well. The food we took home was also dried out and cold.

It's been a long time since I've been here, but what an improvement... I will definitely come back.

Worst and slowest fast food restaurant, very bad atmosphere with many people complaining. Waiting 30-60 minutes for your order is the norm here. The staff are chatting away in another language in between orders, and things move veeeery slowly and everything goes wrong. I couldn't stop laughing in disbelief at what I saw happening here. People who come to KFC here for the first time will never come to a KFC again. Scandalously bad KFC that doesn't live up to its name 🤣

Terrible KFC, bad service, only illegal annoying people work there, trash cans overflowing and tables all dirty from top to bottom, and then you get half of what you ordered wrong or everything is sold out.

The manager finds his laptop much more important than keeping his tent clean and he won't instruct anyone to do it.

The drive-in was unfortunately closed (?). We then had to wait over half an hour for our order, which, after checking, wasn't quite complete either. The kids still wanted ice cream for dessert. Such a shame we didn't drive to Burger King, because after 45 minutes (!) we had our two ice creams...

Two kinds of music play in the restaurant. Downstairs, Middle Eastern music, sometimes even blaring from the kitchen. The ground floor is usually full of non-native young adults, and the kitchen staff uses the same recipe. There's nothing wrong with that, but it seems like the realization that people are in the Netherlands is a long way off. This has happened to us several times now. Maybe we're unlucky, but it feels unwelcoming.

It's been a long time since I ordered from KFC. I definitely won't be doing so again. I placed an order through Thuisbezorgd and received it promptly. I discovered it wasn't complete. So I called KFC, and someone answered with limited Dutch. I explained my situation and was told I'd have to pick up what was missing myself. I then told them I wouldn't be doing that because I'd had my food delivered. The staff sounded very disinterested and didn't offer many options, just curtly saying "just come pick it up." Only after I explained how they were going to fix it did they offer any options, which wasn't great either. One of the options was that I had to call Thuisbezorgd for a refund, which doesn't seem logical since the fries were missing from a menu. It wasn't even Thuisbezorgd's fault, but the KFC staff's own. Never again KFC Apeldoorn for me.

For the Netherlands, this is one of the best KFCs

What a filthy place! The floors are sticky under your feet, and the toilet… It hasn't been properly cleaned in months! I've decided to leave.

The food is cold and the order is wrong. The staff speaks little to no Dutch. A KFC that's outdated, a shame about the name.

Four years ago, this place was great! It's definitely not the same in recent years. The floor is ALWAYS sticky, the restrooms are always dirty, and the food is never good anymore. I go every three months, but I'm definitely not going to KFC in Apeldoorn anymore.

The food wasn't good; it was freshly made and cold. And in terms of hygiene, for a store that just finished a renovation, it's just incredibly filthy. The lamps where you could write your name were covered in thick dust. All the glassware, both at the entrance and on the stairs, was completely greasy and covered in dirt. Sorry, but the cleaning staff really gave it a minus. This is unacceptable.

Ice cold inside, zero atmosphere, lots of mistakes in the order, and tasteless and expensive food. I wouldn't even feed this to my dog.

I love KFC but this is really a disgrace

I eat at this establishment regularly and have read all the reviews, but I've never had a long wait or a bad experience... so for me, a positive message for the staff... they are, and always will be, people, and mistakes can happen. Greetings, a happy chicken lover.

I got free ice cream if I did this

There's a serious problem at this location. We use only the KFC drive-through several times a month. It happens far too often that it's closed when it should be open. Like on January 17, 2026, the drive-through was closed again (photo added).

Open at 11:00 AM on Sundays, as indicated on your opening hours. Don't think so! Customers waiting outside can stay outside, and the staff is inside, out of sight... At 11:01 AM, a family walks out with bags full of KFC, and the doors are locked again... A very strange way of doing business!

The crisps were old and hard. Everything was dirty, and there were communication problems; the employee refused to speak English with me. That was my last visit to KFC ever.

They were supposed to be open until 8 PM, but the doors were locked. I inquired at the drive-through: yes, we close at 8 PM, so drive-through only. And oh yeah, we don't have chicken today!

I haven't had any good chicken at any KFC. For that, I really go to the MC. It's strange, since you expect chicken to be KFC's specialty... the fries are cold, the chicken is more like breadcrumbs, inedible...

What antisocial staff, it's unbelievable how you're treated. The chicken is okay if you're very patient and don't mind being treated like trash, otherwise, stay far away. I'll definitely never go back.

It's so bad, I don't know how it's even possible. You drive up and they tell you everything's gone. We only have hot wings today! It's ridiculous to have to wait half an hour. Such a shame. And this isn't the first time... the staff is incompetent and sloppy.

Terrible, came home and found the order wrong again, and for the price, you could have eaten at Van der Valk, which was almost as expensive. 1 Colonel burger, 1 box of fries with 5 chicken fillets, 4 bags of mayo, 1 orange soda, 1 cola, 26 euros paid.

This KFC has deteriorated so much. The place is extremely dirty, the restrooms are filthy, everything is filthy. Hygienic standards are not recommended, and the kitchen staff work incredibly hard.

Just ordered a meal deal here through Thuisbezorgd. The food was just cold! The chicken burger, well, what do you mean by chicken? It was more breadcrumbs than chicken, and everything was cold! We arrived at 8:45 PM. The restaurant was supposed to close at 10:00 PM. The doors were locked, and the staff stood at the counter, watching and laughing. After waiting for five minutes, someone came over (only to open the door because a customer wanted to leave) to tell us that the manager had said they were "closed for a bit." No reason whatsoever. Disgraceful and very unprofessional.

I was helped dramatically by grumpy people. The order was wrong twice, and the food was absolutely inedible. The people I was with also got the wrong order. It was like KFC again last time.

Everything is filthy, the windows are covered in sauce, crumbs and food are everywhere, nothing is clean. I ordered an iced tea and got a Coke, the staff doesn't do anything, the fries are cold and unsalted, everything is cold. Not recommended: if you have money to burn, definitely spend it here. The last three times I've been there, one or two order terminals have always been down because they're out of printer paper. And no milkshakes are available (regardless of flavor). Lots of trash everywhere. And employees who don't even make anything.

What a ridiculously bad restaurant this is! I've never experienced anything like it. Your food is thrown on the counter and you can't even say "enjoy your meal." They only speak in foreign languages, and the manager smokes outside on the patio during the busy period. I even spoke to him as I was leaving, and he didn't offer an apology. My order was incomplete; half was cold, half was lukewarm. I've tried several times now, but they haven't seen me since. It's okay to wait a bit longer, but the service here is absolutely ridiculous. They stand there scratching their heads and then continue eating, and the same goes for phone calls. Disgusting! There's no leadership; everyone does whatever they want. A chaotic mess. KFC, do something about this. This is out of proportion.

It's ridiculous. The cashier hasn't been trained and doesn't speak Dutch. Their English is broken. I had to reorder four times. Just for the friendliness alone, I should go somewhere else!

This is outrageous, the people who work here are truly awful. We got almost everything wrong. Ordered an ice cream and got a coke. People, stay away from this place, this is not the place you want to be. This is anything but a mouthwatering experience. It's because I have to give it one star. The employees are foreigners and don't speak Dutch. They put the chicken that fell on the floor in the refrigerator and all work without hygiene and without gloves. My order is always incomplete or incorrect! Would you please replace the staff? It's always like this.

Orders are often incorrect. Staff don't speak proper Dutch, so they don't understand you, and vice versa.

The atmosphere was terrible, and employees clearly wanted to be somewhere else. The restaurant and restrooms were a complete mess, but colleagues locked up the upstairs to sit there and do nothing. The food was fine, but it took a long time to arrive. If I were KFC, I'd send a manager over; this is ridiculous.
