Worst KFC I've ever been to, takes ages, can't speak Dutch, and the food is cold and disgusting. Never coming here again. They really need to close this place down.

It's incredibly slow there Both inside and for takeout.

It's a shame these people get paid! Send them home! 18 minutes to take an order? While you're stuck with cars behind and in front, so you have to stay put. Get rid of this staff, and all of them, really. I'm here almost every day and I see how messy and dirty it is, and on top of that, they have egos and talk curtly instead of being friendly.

Very bad staff and also very slow, such a 12 minute wait?

Not the right staff, everything is bad, communication, long waits, and the food too. If I were the owner, I'd fire everyone and rebuild a decent team.

If you want diarrhea order from here. Me and my partner very rarely eat fast food. So once in a while we like to go "treat" ourselves. Yesterday we ordered 1 variety bucket and a strawberry milkshake. The milkshake was horrible, tasted like they forgot to add milk because it was just icy. That was already a bad start but we were still excited to dig inro the chicken. However when we started eating we were disgusted at how the skin tastes. That's normally the best part! There was no seasoning and mainly tasted likebad oil. We threw half the bucket away. That was not all, today we woke up with an upset stomach and cannot stay far away from the toilet. They owe us a pack of toilet paper. (do want to add, service was good and friedly)

The large water supply has been unavailable for the fourth time we've been there, which is a lot of hassle, but we did get our money back. The men's restroom is also very dirty. The restaurant itself isn't cleaned very well either.

I come here often. And I've never left a review myself because they've never gotten my order right. But this time it was absolutely fantastic. I ordered two regular crunchy burgers. There were two people in front of me, and I waited about 45 minutes. I wanted something extra and, as usual, got it wrong. The person who helped me didn't speak Dutch. She kept talking to someone who used to work there, and when they wanted to give me my order, my former colleague grabbed it right in front of me and walked out. But then suddenly it was a joke. I understand the reviews here, and if this happens often and is normal, a 2.9 is really high.

After several bad experiences with small children working there and messing around, I gave it another try. The food was good and fresh, and the staff was very friendly.

Hot wings with feathers in them... I called the branch. The manager got angry with the employee and told him to tell her this was normal.

The day after Zaandam, I thought it would be nice to grab a bite to eat at KFC. This KFC is as dead as a midnight highway diner, and we arrived around dinnertime. The reason was probably the same as ours. The chicken was as dry as if you'd left a slice of bread outside the bread bag until tomorrow. And the same goes for the hot wings. They probably got a chicken from a desert, it was so dry. Restrooms—you walked in and smelled the urine from a month ago, it stank so badly, they never even think about hygiene. Well, people reading this, I'd recommend skipping this KFC and going somewhere else.

Good KFC, clean and friendly service. It was not very crowded so I had no problem to get a table and chair. I will serve very quickly.

By far the worst KFC I've ever been to. Grumpy staff and a good fifteen minutes of waiting for mediocre food even though there wasn't a soul there.

We were a bit late, but the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Every KFC we've been to has always been a hassle and bad service, but this is the first time it was good and the staff were friendly.

The chicken I got from KFC was stale and tasted old. Totally unacceptable and a waste of money.

What they're doing here isn't good. Old grease, batter from earlier in the week, or the temperatures aren't right. I've never had such disgusting hot wings...

I recently ate, and an hour later I was at the Zaanse Medical Center. This place needs to be closed.

Ordered food through Thuiszorgd but never received it. Unreachable by phone. Very poor service. Never again for me.

And you get home and once again something is missing from your order. You order three things and they "forget" a double crunch burger. Hopeless.

I got something from KFC (in Zaandam) for the first time, and it was also the last time. I ordered through the kiosk and then had to wait a very long time. There are very few staff, but the guy at the counter couldn't do anything about that. I paid almost €30 for two medium menus, but after checking everything, I got two small shakes instead of a medium. The shake tasted good, the fries were okay too, but the burgers... what a disaster, greasy and incredibly salty. Really not worth the money. Compared to this, a BK or Mac is practically haute cuisine. A waste of my money.

The men's toilet is very dirty, they say we don't clean the jugs

There were crumbs everywhere (tables, chairs, floor). The floor was also sticky. The fries were cold, and there was almost sauce on the burger. The food arrived quickly; everything had probably been ready for a while, which is why it went cold. So, I wouldn't recommend it.

My Zinger burger came with lettuce that was clearly several days old. The lettuce was brown and slimy that I had to remove it from my burger. I won’t be ordering from here again especially after reading reviews about mice in oil 🤮

Too warm, no airco, many flies.

This is the worst KFC in the area. All the chicken is incredibly dry, and the fries are limp and cold. Highly recommended, and you're better off driving to a KFC in Amsterdam, even if it's a 10km detour.

Bad food. Bad restaurant. Bad staff.

I saw the mouse in the oil with my own eyes. Whenever I eat at this restaurant, I always get a stomach ache, and now I know why. Also, the service is very bad, and the workers there are rude and have no respect for anyone. Also if you try to look inside the restaurant you will see sewers coming out of the ground where they cook.

It was incredibly hot inside, truly inhumane for the staff! There was no chicken to be seen, but we were craving a good milkshake, as their chocolate shake is the best!

Extremely poor service: only one employee at the counter, who also had to take orders because two of the self-service terminals weren't working. It took almost half an hour for the order to be ready. The Zingerburger was so small that only half the bun had any filling. The fries were nice and warm, but could have been fried a bit longer. The tables were dirty, and the windows could use a good cleaning. It was also very hot; maybe a broken air conditioner?

This restaurant is struggling with staff, and it's unfortunately very noticeable. The staff speaks little or no Dutch. But if you apply, they don't need you. At least, I applied, and after the third interview, they asked if I wanted to travel by tram, since that requires working in the city center. Unfortunately, I didn't want to, so that was the end of the interview. But back to the food. The quality is absolutely terrible! And the service is the same.

What a horrible experience here... I used the drive-thru, and it took so incredibly long just to order. After ordering, we waited over 30 minutes. There were two cars ahead of us. People were ordering inside, too, but it got so crowded there that people had to wait outside. They, too, had to wait an absurdly long time for their orders. Once and for all. Yuck.

You get incredibly rude when you ask a question. No one speaks Dutch either. The cheese on the burger wasn't melted. It was absolutely disgusting (tables covered in dirt and trash cans overflowing). They started arguing amongst themselves...

I ordered food online and it was 1 burger, first it said it would be delivered at 6:05pm (it was 5pm) then it went to 6:45pm so I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for 1 burger

Chicken burger plain was not plain. Fries were lukewarm and limp. Burgers were lukewarm. Tenders also lukewarm. Instead of tenders there were wings. And that while there were hardly any customers. Well I understand why. Was the first and last time here. Eventually got new burgers and fries. Paid for reusable cups and then got disposable cups. Things are going badly wrong here and we will never come here again

Crappy place. Hair in my food. Nobody speaks Dutch or decent English. Tables too dirty for words. Last time I've been here with my family. Damn🤢

Super unfriendly, we ordered 2 burgers and we only got 1 and they didn't want to give us an extra one because according to them we only ordered 1, the air conditioning doesn't work either, I understand why nobody comes here, damn it

Sooooo how bad is this food? Unbelievable so disgusting and soaked in grease. The whole place stinks of old frying fat and that in combination with a bad extraction... I normally find the zinger burger delicious but you really should not buy this at KFC Zaandam. And then the fries so limp and disgusting.... close this shop do the people in Zaandam and surroundings a favor.... yuck yuck

KFC Restaurant Is Too Hot Because The Air Conditioner Is Not On

Staff is very unfriendly, throws food and money at you. Swears at you and gossips about her customers in another language. Never come back here, what a shithouse!

I had placed my order at the column inside. In front of me was another German couple who had ordered 2 menus and 2 ice creams. One employee was walking back and forth behind the counter. Apart from that, not much was happening. First, the ice creams were put on the tray. Then the employee walked to the back and didn't return for 10 minutes. Unfortunately for our German Friends, without chicken/burger. In the meantime, the ice creams had already melted halfway. When something was said about that, the boy indicated that they could already eat them otherwise, the food was coming. Of course they didn't agree with this and the employee offered a napkin to prevent leakage 😂. I asked where my 2 simple cheeseburgers were. I had to wait a while until the German's order was ready. In the meantime, I saw that my burgers were ready and were being prepared to be packed. Still no one else in the shop except the couple and me. The employee walked away again and returned with food for the couple. But now they still had to explain how to tap drinks. The ice creams had melted to snot by now, so they were thrown away anyway. My burgers, still ready to be packed, had been there for 6 minutes by now, but I find watching the uber-raging employee interesting. The Germans had their food and a justified sneer was given in German to the employee. She didn't understand them, but since I speak a fair bit of German, I could understand them and I won't repeat what they said here. Finally, after 18!!! minutes, from ordering to delivery, I had my burgers. They were cold of course, but I didn't dare ask for new ones after this adventure. What a drama here. One single employee at the counter and a few standing behind. No one came to help or ask, one employee went to stamp down trash cans that were so full that nothing could be added afterwards. What's going on here KFC? Was Frans Bouwer here with the hidden camera or something? I've been to KFC 4 times in my life and all 4 times there was something. Even (my daughter) got very sick after eating at KFC. After investigation it turned out that there was indeed something wrong with the cleaning protocol and preparation of the food. It should be clear that this was my last time at KFC.

Does this place even have management? No hygiene, no customer friendliness, no pace & no quality. Most employees don't give a damn that you've been waiting for half an hour.

Disappointing experience with children's meals and service We ordered and paid for children's boxes including milkshake and gift, but only received part of what was promised. The milkshakes were not there and there was no gift. When we reported this to the staff, they reacted unfriendly and started talking to each other in a different language, which came across as very unprofessional. They were angry with us, instead of solving it properly. At that moment there were at least four other customers at the counter with the same complaint. In the meantime, extra money was asked for products that were not delivered. The food itself was also very disappointing: it was cold and tough. Finally, the toilet was very dirty, which made the overall picture even worse. Unfortunately, no repeat for us. There is really work to be done, both in terms of service and hygiene.

After visiting the Vrijbuiter we had a bite to eat here. What a mess this place is! We got an incomplete order, cold fries, no napkins, no straws and no surprise with the children's menu. After asking we got the answer from a super grumpy woman that they don't have anything for children. This is stated on the receipt and the menus? Very strange. They are certainly not service-oriented and we will definitely never ever come back!

Really bad service to long waiting time to short on staff and lack of communication

Employees who don't speak Dutch, it can happen but they don't even try, then an (unexpectedly) expensive order, turns out to contain something I didn't order so back. With an angry look my money back. Enough of that for now.

As someone who always enjoys going to KFC, it hurts extra hard to say this: my last visit was a complete disappointment. After waiting 37 minutes, I received an incomplete order. The fries were ice cold, the Zinger burgers were rock hard instead of crispy and soft, and the orders were mixed up without any logic. When I said something about it and politely asked for compensation, nothing was done about it. The atmosphere was downright chaotic: staff shouting back and forth about chicken, no overview, no customer friendliness. And all this while you just come for a quick, tasty meal. This is not what I am used to from KFC. As a loyal customer, it hurts to say, but this was my worst experience ever with this chain. Very unfortunate.

Kfc is kfc. The different was thisnplace onky has 2 persons servicing you. So it takes almost firever for my order to finish.

We had Boneless Chicken and we also got Boneless. All the tables were dirty and the floor was sticky. The trash cans were full and there was stuff on the floor and there was no music. And a child was jumping on the benches and jumping

Was here during my evening break. Around 5:30 there was no one. Had placed an order. After half an hour I asked where my order was. Turns out they had lost the receipt. NO EXCUSE OFFERED. NO COMPENSATION. Do I have to go after my food receipt myself? This is not possible. Of my 45 minute break I only had 15 minutes left. Quickly shoved everything down my throat. MY ADVICE. call or ask them immediately if they have your order otherwise you can forget it

Got food at the drive. Ate in the car.

Via home delivery. Took 1 hour and 35 minutes. The app then said 12 then 15 then 10 then 24 minutes and so on. Food was cold. Kipsalon. And it was a small container for a total of 15 euros. Second time now. Never again. Zaandam branch

Terribly dirty and very unfriendly staff and there were not many products. She didn't ask if we wanted anything else, she just gave us something. I think you've run out of paper from the receipt roll, you better not do it, it almost ate me. So last time I go there.

Enough parking places but food tastes worse than in Germany, which is a shame for stars fast food like KFC, for the restroom costs extra 1€ even you order your meal here… would not recommend if you have better choice during your trip.

Just had dinner at KFC Zaandam. First had to wait 30 min. for food, which was already cold, then incomplete order. Went back 3 times to complete the order. We still didn't get 1 chip. The bags of chips were only half filled, were dry and cold. Staff is loitering, doesn't even understand the receipt. Tables were dirty, food remains were on tables and chairs, the floor is sticky on both the ground floor and the first floor. Big no-go! Never come back here again.

BEWARE of this establishment I saw a lady who works there with her bare hands in a trash can and then she walks behind the counter and cheerfully continues with orders (no hands washed) + you wait quietly for half an hour for 3 milkshakes then you order medium and you get small you indicate that you don't agree with it you just stand there talking to the wall no money back because the medium cups were on bad tent often goes wrong but after this experience I won't be coming here anymore for a while (No it wasn't busy)

Useless service weight 10 minutes to place order at drive-thru with 1 customer in shop. you have better chance of cooking your own food at home and still being faster.

Service is absolutely terrible. One person working at the front, slow pace and no effort to get through the queue. No one else to help the manager is in the back. Everyone is working at a slow or less then slow pace. The food is cold sitting while everyone waits for their food. They need to step up their service and do better. Disapponted is an understatement. Angry employees and leadership/management was lacking. I was only helped after 20 minutes because I wanted to pay in cash and then had to wait 20 to 25 minutes for my order (1 menu). Sandwich was not fresh, and you have to make your own drinks (why the long wait?!). This is such a shame! Good motivating staff is really necessary.

Very bad. We spent 30 euros for two menus, but the fries and corn were way too old. The cups were half filled with weak frozen drink, both for the medium and the large menu. The restaurant smelled of old frying oil. The chicken itself was okay, but of the two Original pieces I only got one good one; the other piece was way too small. Shame.

This KFC was fine a few years ago, but all the bad reviews are recognizable: dirty restaurant, slow, closed earlier due to staff shortages, and the food is also deteriorating. No more KFC at this location for me.

We love KFC, but the Zaandam location is the worst branch I know. Unfriendly staff, slow, orders often go wrong and unhygienic in the restaurant.

My friend was missing a burger from takeaway and I was missing a corn on the cob. He checked his bag at cashiers and got his burger. I haven’t checked it because it was in a rush. Check your bags from this KFC. Has been heard about this before in this place. Also fries where cold and not tasty. My order number was 337 or 307 on 03.04.2025

I actually never post a review but I am posting this because after a long time I had great service at the KFC in Zaandam today. That young gentleman who takes orders at the drive thru, was very customer friendly. What great service. That gentleman helped me kindly. KFC DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ZAANDAM. And that gentleman who was at the drive thru today in the afternoon of March 28, 2025 around 5:00 PM, he was very customer friendly.

Been to this branch several times, but really shouldn't do it again. The zingerburger that I always order remains delicious, but the service here is really terrible. It takes ages for an order to arrive and often part of the order is cold or the order is incomplete. In my opinion, they are supposedly very busy with all the home delivery people and not with the customers who are present in the branch. They act as if they are super busy, but they run like a snail. In addition, the branch is often a mess, dirty tables and toilet without toilet paper.

Very disorganized in management wise. The order screen is broken and they serve the meal randomly. Even its not busy you need to wait for long time.

I arrived at half past twelve, drive thru was off. So I went inside, and since there were no staff in sight, I ordered at the ordering post. This probably woke up the staff because one came, coughing and spluttering without a hand over her mouth, telling her that it could take up to 20 minutes. I told her I would like my money back and would go to the Mac next door. This had to be discussed with someone in the kitchen after which she came to ask me if 10 minutes was ok, I agreed as I wanted to try the lava hot wings. 20 minutes later... Yes, 20 minutes... I finally got my order on a tray even though I had chosen to take away... I had everything packed and since I was now in a hurry, I immediately jumped into the car. But to my great surprise I had normal hot wings instead of the lava hot wings... Besides the terrible service here, the ground was sticky on all sides and the whole place smelled like old burnt grease. I won't go here again.

Drove into the drive, was welcomed in English at the emergency telephone. I ask very clearly whether it can be done in Dutch, but unfortunately, it had to be done in English. Now I can speak English well myself, but if it concerns someone who cannot speak English, it will be very difficult. Very bad going here.

Worst KFC experience so far.... waiting 40 minutes for the food. Everything was lukewarm and the chicken was tough. They didn't even have any fries sauce left, so they had to ask for an alternative. Never going to this KFC again.

I don't understand how this KFC passes inspection. Literally all the tables were dirty, there was food all over the floor throughout the place and my soles became sticky from the floor. Trash bins were overflowing. Tenders were hard and cold🤢 employees do not speak Dutch and very little ENG.

Wow, a simple order can take so long. And because I came after 10:00 PM, they no longer made burgers, only fried them. Very bad. Then there is no one in front of you, you have to wait 20 minutes and you miss half of it. Very sad😔

The staff appears to have drunk penetrating oil. Traaaaaaaag. Everything seems too much for them. The board with numbers which order is ready does not work. The numbers are called out in unclear English. The order is placed on the counter and people continue doing nothing. When ordering, a euro deposit is charged per cup, but you will simply receive a disposable cup. This is not called a QR code for the deposit machine. If you hand it in at the counter, they will simply throw it away. Saturday afternoon 5.30 pm: almost no audience in the shop. That says enough.
