Filthy mess. The floor, the tables—basically everywhere—there are crumbs and everything is covered in sticky filth. The men's restroom stinks terribly of urine, so bad that the smell lingers in your nose all day, yuck!

I ordered it through thuisbezorgd and it confirmed, after 1 hour they cancelled it and the only answer was “sorry” I ordered from this branch 3 more times. 2 time they send me wrong and cheaper item. The last time i ordered chiecken tenders but they send me chicken bites….Why this is the only branch in zaandam?? Why the staff are not responsible??? *** do not order from this branch or i swear you will regret for your choice*****

Can't they just close this KFC and put up something better? It's a real gamble whether or not you'll get to speak to competent staff. Inside, it's also soulless and often filthy. The McDonald's next door isn't always top-notch either, but compared to this, it's a 5-star restaurant.

The ordering screens were unmanageably slow, all four of them. They simply didn't respond to my touch, but kept pushing me to install an app, which I absolutely do not want. This took about 10 minutes. I asked an employee about it, and they said "I don't know either" and just left me stuck with it. That's what you get when you train employees to be cogs in a system instead of taking responsibility themselves. I didn't find the staff friendly or engaged, and an Asian-looking employee was speaking in a harsh voice, which I found very annoying. In short: what a terrible experience. That's why we left for the McDonald's next door, where we were simply helped at the counter.

They took 20 minutes to prepare with only 4 orders in front of mine. Chicken was oily and gummy instead of light and crispy like other KFC. The "chocolate milkshake" is a poorly crushed ice with syrup, its terrible.

Clean and the food rarely dissapoints.

Waiting 40 minutes for 2 burgers and a small bucket of fries is really way too long. The staff in the back are even slower than a turtle. There was even one who was more busy eating and drinking what she was frying than actually working. The only compliment I want to give was to the employee at the front; she really did her best, but when you work with such incompetent staff, I understand that you have to do everything yourself. And the food itself was already cold by the time they finished the order.

The food was very mediocre and the trash can was emptied while everyone was sitting on the terrace. Then, such an incredibly foul smell came from the garbage bag that we couldn't eat the food anymore. Everyone left the terrace immediately and was very irritated. Not recommended!

This KFC is really nice, and the Original Chicken is especially tasty and fresh. What I appreciate most is the excellent customer service. The female managers are very polite, professional, and always treat customers with respect. I have seen them many times handling difficult situations and solving problems calmly with both customers and delivery riders. Their attitude and professionalism really make a difference. Highly recommended — definitely 10/10

I'm only doing this for some chicken

It's always a hassle at this KFC. I have picked up or ordered food here multiple times, and there is practically always something wrong. One time they forget half of your order, another time half of it turns out to be sold out even though you have already paid. Recently, we also had to wait well over 30 minutes. When we asked how much longer it would take, we were told it would be another 30 minutes. Yesterday I ordered via Uber Eats and once again part of the order was missing. I reported this immediately, but so far nothing has been done about it and I have not received a suitable solution or compensation. Unfortunately, this is no longer a one-off incident, but a recurring problem. Very disappointing.

They are incredibly slow here and the service is too terrible for words. Additionally, they offer products they do not have in stock. The sauce I ordered (which I paid extra for) was replaced with a sauce I did not ask for. You are better off skipping this one.

Very negative experiences. I ordered a Kipkapsalon twice to take home. Upon arriving home, the quality of the chicken left much to be desired; it tasted very old and tough, as if it had been reheated multiple times or old chicken had been used. It was not heated properly. The fries were hard potato slices, tough in taste and of inferior quality when unpeeled. I won't be going back to KFC. Staff who do not speak Dutch also do not demonstrate the competence to discuss matters properly. As long as KFC does not have Dutch-speaking staff in its branches, the company will only suffer huge losses. We do live in the Netherlands, after all, where there should be at least one Dutch-speaking chef and quality control should be guaranteed so that future customers will return. The way things are going now, KFC might as well close down in Zaandam.

The restaurant was very dirty, despite looking nice from the outside... the service was terrible, and we weren't served at the table despite having requested it on our order. The food was slightly undercooked... in short, not great at all!

2 stars.... The staff is very busy, terribly disorganized. The fries were cold because we had to wait for a wrap. And this while 2 people were eating and 4 people had placed an order. That one tasted good, by the way. Will I come here again? No!

This is the worst KFC in all of the Netherlands and maybe all of Europe. Long wait times while no one is inside. Doors are locked even though it isn't even closing time yet (I could have understood if it were busy, but 3 orders isn't busy). Then I got my tenders, which all looked like naked chicken fillets and weren't fried long enough either; just such a weird texture. I honestly have no words. Inside it looks like a stable too. Tables dirty, floor dirty, counter dirty. Even the terrace tables were filthy. I have no words for the toilet. Many fast food chains are improving, but this KFC is going downhill. Close this place ASAP.

Ordered online, was supposed to be ready for pickup in just 10 minutes because Thuisbezorgd was unavailable. Upon arrival, no contact was made with the customer. After some time, I finally asked how things stood. Uhhhhh online order???? Only then did they check the screen for placed orders; the line was only getting longer. Sorry, no quick & friendly staff. It took well over half an hour for everything to be ready. Not a success!!

This is a good restaurant with a good atmosphere and the people are very helpful and nice, and I hope they become rich in life.

I have to wait too long at the checkout to order, and if you ask something, they look at you like cows in a field.

We made an online order today at 20:37. The application shows that the order is accepted and to wait 44-65 minutes. in the end we waited 2 hours. and then canceled the order. we were left hungry and dissatisfied. If the establishment is closing, please do not accept orders and warn people about it in advance.

We had to wait a while for our food. There were hardly any people working in the kitchen, which is probably why the reviews were so bad. Nevertheless, it was tasty and everything was fine. The trash cans were indeed very full, and due to the lack of staff, the upstairs area was also closed off. There are better KFCs, but the food was okay.

It's like talking to pillars of salt. Looking like sheep and trying not to answer (an order from (mis)management?). Milkshakes have been ready for a while now and are at the right room temperature 😡 Just ask if you can have them already. The pieces of chicken... I think the chicken still needs to be caught, slaughtered, and plucked. After that, it still has to go into the oven; no idea, but it's going to take a while. Preparing stewed meat is faster, in any case. I decided not to wait for that after all. The chicken price was 12.50 euros, senselessly burnt. It is considerably quiet… ordered 1 sandwich and a milkshake, waited half an hour for my order. It was freshly made though, so that is definitely a plus. But usually you assume it takes a maximum of 10 minutes. Keep in mind that you shouldn't be in a rush.

Selma is the MVP of this establishment. Very attentive, positive, accurate, quick and pleasant. Every time she’s there we can be sure that our meal will be in order. Yesterday was no exception.

Terrible, filthy place with unfriendly staff. Grumpy people and the manager is never there. Unreachable by phone. If you want to throw your money away and get sick, this is the place to come. Rancid and cold food!

What a dump this place has become... even worse than it already was... Ordered food at the kiosk, had to wait at least 25 minutes for it. They just stand there shouting at each other in that kitchen (I think Polish) and English. Not a single one takes the time to clean the tables or anything like that. They don't have high chairs, so figure out where to put your nearly 2-year-old to eat. (Took the stroller instead so she could eat in there) Everything is filthy and greasy, the floor, the tables, and let's not even talk about the toilets!! Filthy changing table, dampness and stains everywhere..🤢 (think poop) BUT what I find most idiotic is that you have to speak English to the staff while you are, after all, in your own homeland!!!? All imported Eastern Europeans who don't speak a single word of Dutch. Done with this unwelcoming, dead place.

The KFC Stormhoek (industrial estate) was almost empty on Sunday evening, apparently relying on weekday customers. But there was a super helpful woman of Turkish descent behind the counter – for example, she made a salad especially for us (a couple in our 50s) because they were all gone: super delicious! And she brought our food over so sweetly. Unparalleled service. The chicken was delicious, hot, not too salty, and not too bland. Four stars for the atmosphere because the place was almost empty, NOT because the staff left anything to be desired!

There were two employees present on Saturday afternoon. Both the restaurant and the drive-thru were busy, causing significant delays. The food was cold and took 20 minutes to be ready. The restaurant was dirty because it wasn't swept between meals. The men present did their best, but it wasn't feasible.

For the first (and last time!) I ate at KFC Zaandam Stormhoek. There was no employee behind the counter, so I ordered through the kiosk. I thought it was one very basic burger... I was the only customer, yet the sandwich still wasn't ready 10 minutes after ordering. A lady did appear with a dustpan and brush and a wet cloth, which she casually tossed onto the stack of trays waiting for customers... After 12 (!) minutes, someone appeared. When I politely asked how long it would take KFC to make one burger if there were no other customers, I was told they were busy. Fifteen minutes later, my sandwich and the fries I ordered later were dumped in front of me, with only a "please," but no napkin. When I unwrapped the sandwich, I discovered I'd been waiting fifteen minutes for "something"—a kind of fish stick covering a third of the bun, with a rock-hard crust. I only ate half; it was truly awful. The fries were the thinnest I've ever seen, more like spaghetti than fries, warm, but incredibly limp. There was some kind of cheese sauce and shredded meat on top. The whole thing just didn't go together; it's a good thing I was hungry, otherwise I would have barely eaten anything. There were maybe 8 or 10 other people there while I was inside, and that was around lunchtime. After this experience, I understand why. I've never experienced such slow service, an unfriendly employee, an unhygienic employee who throws her cleaning cloth on the trays, and when you want to leave, the door above which you can read "Thank you for your visit" is locked! There's still a lot of work to be done in this store, if the owner wants it, because otherwise, only desperate and uninterested customers would be able to come here...

The slowest service imaginable. We waited around 30–40 minutes for a burger and wings. There was only one staff member working at the front, and she was also preparing the food in the back while handling the drive-through at the same time.

I arrived at the self-service counter, and the number wasn't clear. I was told to order at the counter. Two seconds later, the staff was gone, helping me with the drive-through. I thought, "Is it my turn?" or "The drive-through?" While he was helping me, he simply walked away. Unfriendly and disrespectful to the customer.

The large water supply has been unavailable for the fourth time we've been there, which is a lot of hassle, but we did get our money back. The men's restroom is also very dirty. The restaurant itself isn't cleaned very well either.

KFC Drive Thru Exorbitantly long wait times. Over 30 minutes to order, with only four cars ahead of me. Then another 10 minutes for the order to be ready. Incomprehensible! Probably due to staff shortages. It's better to close the line than use the drive-thru. Because once you're in line, you can't get out.

There's always something wrong with the order. Also, they only speak Eritrean here, the tables are filthy and sticky. Nothing gets cleaned. Trash cans are overflowing; you just have to throw your trash next to them, and the toilet flush doesn't work, and there was still a huge turd in the toilet. After I complained about this at the cash register, they didn't understand a word of Dutch!!!!!

Worst KFC I've ever been to, takes ages, can't speak Dutch, and the food is cold and disgusting. Never coming here again. They really need to close this place down.
