KFC in Wijk 01 Sittard

They prioritize orders from Uber Eats. They don't prepare orders for those who come to the restaurant. Today I waited 40 minutes and finally they refunded me and sent me away. People coming from upstairs said they waited for an hour; 7 or 8 people received refunds. We wasted our time. It's a truly terrible branch.

The wait for food was extremely long. The place looks like a pigsty, terribly dirty. I understand that the people are cattle, but an employee walks by and doesn't even notice the mess. The trash cans are full, and there's no way to even throw away the trash. The owner should go to another country and learn his craft.

I wanted to ask if pigs eat here? There's no cleaning at all, it makes me want to puke. I'll never come back here. I recommend getting involved with the people at work because the wait time for food is 15 minutes.

After a few years, I decided to give it another try. But unfortunately, nothing has improved yet. Waiting 30 minutes for your order. Tables and floor dirty and filthy beyond words. No one present to clean the tables or floor. Full trash cans aren't emptied either. But it gets much worse. My girlfriend ordered a boneless box. Boneless = without bone. What did she get? A box of chicken pieces with bone. Well, mistakes happen. She had already taken a bite and discovered there was bone in it. And now comes the grossest part of all. She went back and the bag was simply thrown back into the warming tray 🤮 where fresh food is kept for other customers. I hope no one else got that bag, which unfortunately had already been eaten from! 🤢 It's time for the NVWA to crack down hard. But she got a new bag, and again with bone 🙈 Unbelievable, the staff is uninterested and has absolutely no idea what they are doing. We just let it go because this place simply begs for immediate closure, especially regarding hygiene!!! Paid €36 for 2 people and this is what you get in return. Never again, it is time the NVWA intervened decisively!

Had to wait 45 minutes for the food and it wasn't even busy. The staff is very young and there wasn't a single supervisor to manage things; really a bad situation! Those youngsters get all the shit thrown at them but clearly lack someone in charge. After waiting 45 minutes, I still got a sandwich you could bash someone's head in with. And those sauce packets are impossible to open; in the time I was standing there, 4 people went to the counter to ask for scissors…?! I am definitely not coming back here.

This is not fast food. The service is terribly slow. We arrived at 11:45, 2 orders in the queue, we placed our order at 11:52, those 2 orders are still waiting. At 12:15 did those 2 orders get picked up and we got our food at 12:20. I don't mind if its hella busy and it takes a little longer because theres that many people waiting for orders, but they had at least 3 people in the back and only 1 actively doing anything. I will not be returning, and honestly if you're reading this you shouldn't either :/

Not even worth a star; we waited 25 minutes and our order had already been sitting on the counter getting cold for 15 minutes, and the employee made mistake after mistake and kept taking things out and putting them back in. A terrible place, and you never call this fast food; a bad establishment, unprofessional, and they don't know what they're doing. One cash register system and a long queue; everyone complains, and this is just absolutely terrible! I asked for my money back because the food was cold, and I am never coming back here!! Be warned before you come here!

It remains fast food, but it is more packed than McDonald's. The staff in Sittard, in particular, speak poor Dutch and are not very friendly.

Fast service, but quite noisy. Since there is a play gym on the second floor, there was constant loud noise, with teenagers frequently screaming upstairs. It made the atmosphere less relaxing.

Don't eat here. Terrible location, bad branch, and when I ordered it took 45 minutes. When I went to ask, they hadn't received the order while I was standing inside with my order number and receipt. After that, I drove to the döner place and had my chicken döner with fries inside within 5 minutes.

Ordered food, the kiosk didn't even work for payment, so we had to start all over again. Then we had to wait well over an hour before we received any food. When we finally got it, half of it was missing and it wasn't even right. The food was also cold; next time I'll just drive on to a McDonald's.

First, we ordered food for 2 adults and 2 children. We had to wait at least 30 minutes for this. When we finally received the food, it wasn't really warm. As if it had been sitting in the warming cabinet for who knows how long. We had to go back because one portion of fries was missing, then we had to go back because the sauce packets are impossible to open without scissors or a knife, and we had to go back for the third time because the children's menus didn't include a toy. The tables and benches/chairs were filthy. After we finished eating, someone still wanted a milkshake. We stood waiting for almost an hour for a milkshake and still hadn't received it. Then I wanted my money back, and I stood there waiting another 10 minutes for that. Just young girls behind the counter working at a snail's pace. Put staff behind there who know how to work. I asked for my money back, and there were 4 or 5 others in line with me for their money.

Long waiting times, food cold and yesterday's.

We placed an order online. So we went to pick it up. We got home. No sauces. 4 chicken tenders missing. No straws. Kids' menu without a toy. 1 fry missing. So I called and got a very unfriendly lady on the line. She said she would write down my name so we would get this extra next time. Well, that’s how the hunger and the problem are solved now... great customer service. NEVER AGAIN!!

The slowest KFC in the Netherlands; even if there are only 2 customers, you still have to wait 30/40 minutes for your food. It is time KFC headquarters intervened here, otherwise I think there will soon be no customers left.

Anyone coming here should bring plenty of time and maybe eat at McDonald's beforehand, just to make sure they don't starve while waiting. Not only do they charge extra for every little thing, but while sauces are included in the meal in Germany, here you have to buy them separately. Oh yeah, and stay away from the loaded fries; half a portion costs twice as much. Definitely my last visit here. What a shame. KFC is going out of business.

It has nothing to do with fast food.

I haven't had many problems with them before, but this was really disgusting. I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and there was a hair in both of them; hygiene is clearly non-existent here. And the waiting times are always long too, which is a real shame.

The restaurant was very dirty inside, especially the bathrooms. There was food all over the floor, which was completely unacceptable. The customer service was also very poor, and we had to wait a very long time just to get our food. On top of that, there were very young Arab employees who spent most of their time talking instead of working, which made customers wait even longer. As a tourist visiting from Sweden, I will never come back to this restaurant and I definitely cannot recommend it to others.

Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to file a complaint regarding my recent visit to your KFC. We had to wait approximately 40 minutes for our order, even though it was not busy at all. When we finally received our order, it turned out to be incomplete. After reporting this, we were given the missing items, but subsequently, the order turned out to be incorrect as well. Additionally, we had the impression that the staff were talking and laughing with each other more than attending to the customers. There was little attention paid to service. We also did not receive any napkins or sauce with our order. The hygiene was also very disappointing. There was food on a table that had not been cleared away for a long time. The toilets were very dirty, and there was not even any toilet paper available. This was a very disappointing experience and certainly not the service one should expect from KFC. I hope you take this complaint seriously and take measures to improve the service and hygiene. Sincerely,

Had to wait more than 20 minutes for the order. Hardly any activity in the kitchen. And the person preparing the order perfectly showed their disapproval of having to work. The order was also incomplete upon delivery. The toilet hand dryer was not working, the paper towels were completely empty, and the entrance door was also defective. The medium and normal portions were also the same size...

Long wait, even though it wasn't busy. Not recommended for a quick bite. The food was hot and okay, though.

After 3 years, I decided to give KFC Sittard-Geleen another chance. My previous review was about lukewarm food, rudely long wait times, and poor service. Unfortunately, I have to conclude that things have absolutely not improved. I arrived in the afternoon, but the doors were closed; you could only order via the drive-thru. Once in line, I was completely stuck with cars in front of and behind me. I ended up literally standing still for 20 minutes. If I could have left, I would have gone immediately. When I finally reached the ordering kiosk, the young lady couldn't understand me. In fact, right in the middle of my order, she suddenly started a private conversation with someone standing outside by the window, leaving me standing in the cold waiting for just 7 minutes. Because nothing else was happening, I drove on to the first window. No one was present there. So I drove on to the second (serving) window. Inside, the right mentality was nowhere to be found. The young employees seemed to be just messing around and showed absolutely no interest in the customers. Fortunately, there was one adult woman present who tried to keep things somewhat under control, but the damage was already done. In total, I had to wait 45 minutes for my order! To make matters worse, the order was incomplete (drinks forgotten, which took another 5 minutes) and—despite waiting for three quarters of an hour—I got lukewarm fries *again*. Exactly like 3 years ago. KFC Netherlands really needs to have a serious talk with this franchisee. It seems they are milking the concept dry here with high margins and low (personnel) costs, but that comes entirely at the expense of downright lousy service and mediocre quality. They definitely won't be seeing me back here anytime soon.

We keep getting asked to write a good review for some free chicken, well, no way! What a terrible place. The only one in the drive-thru, still a 20-minute wait. The lettuce is always brownish and I always see the same staff smoking outside while a girl gets to handle everything inside, even though she clearly struggles with it.

I went to KFC for the first time but I am never coming back to KFC. It is an unhygienic fast food place and the food is really bad. And the service is terrible. For those reading this, DO NOT COME HERE! Especially Sittard.

Stopped by KFC Sittard for lunch, and it didn’t disappoint! The place was clean, the staff were friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the sides were on point. A reliable spot if you’re craving fried chicken quick, tasty, and reasonably priced

Had to wait 45 minutes for the food. The playground equipment and the tables are too dirty and greasy to touch. When you ask if they would wipe down the tables, they hand you a cloth to wipe yourself. Thanks a lot... last time at KFC for us.

40 minutes waiting and gets nothing people near me 1.5 hour NoMore

The area was very dirty; under the table it looked like there was mold on it. The employee didn't empty the trash can but just pushed it down. There was cola on the floor and the staff did nothing, and the fries were cold and salty. And in the toilet, the dryer didn't work, my brother says. I am never coming to this building again. The best time in the restaurant was when we left. This needs to be investigated immediately, and I do not recommend going here unless you are also that dirty and patient with the food.

Train staff better and teach them how to communicate; it is unhygienic in the restaurant and the toilets are filthy!

What worthless “service”! Waiting an hour and 15 minutes for food and the staff don't care at all. There are 20 people waiting, the orders are ready. They walk back and forth and do nothing. Half of them asked for a refund. Where is the manager?? Never again!

The KFC that doesn't even have chicken is ridiculous. They didn't have anything anymore, well, a burger, and it arrived cold.

There were few people, but when the food wasn't served, it got very crowded. A tray came out every 15 minutes. The kitchen was incredibly slow, with no one directing them, and the tables were dirty with no one cleaning anything.

Downright filthy place. Never experienced such a dirty fast food restaurant. The food was cold and it took more than an hour for the order to be ready. Staff terrible. Personally, we have never had such a bad experience. Better close immediately.

Extremely disappointing experience at KFC!!!! We waited outside for a very long time for our food, but the drinks were given to us first. By the time the food finally arrived, the drinks were warm and the ice had mostly melted, leaving us with watered-down Coke. When I politely pointed this out to the staff member, saying that by the time the food came we’d basically just be drinking ice, his response was rude, dismissive, and honestly mocking. He said there was nothing he could do and even added that “my manager will get angry if I say something.” No apology, no attempt to fix the issue, and the only “solution” offered was more ice... in an already diluted warm drink. Poor service is one thing. Rude, unapologetic customer service on top of it is what made this experience unacceptable. Totally disgusting customer service. 😐

It is a shame I have to post this, but KFC is declining significantly in quality. I used to go there often, but lately, it takes a very long time to get served, even when it isn't busy with customers. On top of that, I can no longer find the flavor of the spices that made KFC world-famous; I only taste breaded chicken. Furthermore, you almost never find that they have salt and pepper, and there are no wipes for greasy fingers like before. I really hope this is looked into to ensure the survival of this restaurant chain.

The tent looks fine and the food was acceptable, only now I have bad stomach cramps and my stomach doesn't hurt; generally fine.

I walked in and it was a very neat establishment. After ordering, I went to the restroom. To my great frustration, the restroom door was locked with the release pin VERTICALLY instead of horizontally. Sad! I wish I had eaten at home.

The team is very slow. The sandwiches are waiting Fiordland at least 15min before the full order gets ready. The tables are not cleaned. Even the counter is not getting cleaned. The lady even took one frie which fell aside to put it back in the plate. Not recommandable.

My wife and daughter were inside for almost an hour. Upon arriving home, it turns out that they can't count to four at KFC, because there were only 3 portions of fries instead of 4. And they drive 20 km for that. My wife even raised her voice, something she normally rarely does. It is already the second time the order was incomplete.

If I could give them -5 I would. Delivery orders (5) were ALL incorrect. Ordered xtra cheese, none was on the burgers. Ordered 2 x 2 burger special. Had to receive 4 burgers. Just 2 was delivered & I was refunded 5 euro less than paid. The worst KFC ever.

Ordered at 6:48, got our food at 7:43. We sat down and started eating and all the food was cold, dry, and bland. The chicken sandwiches were just chicken nuggets + cheese on a bun while it was advertised to be a chicken patty. Service was poor and multiple families who ordered left with refunds, not worth the wait or the money, order somewhere else. Eventually went to another restaurant to have dinner.

What an unbelievable mess. A staff member throws the tray after waiting half an hour. Ten people are waiting for their food, and it takes forever. No one in the kitchen takes responsibility. There's no direction. A real disgrace. Then I went to McDonald's for ice cream and found out it's actually possible! They're friendly there, and the order arrives quickly.

They don't hire extra staff here. KFC thinks it's better to make customers wait an hour.

Slow and cold, even though it wasn't busy. Worst KFC in the Netherlands so far. The only positive was the crispy bacon. Didn't use the drive-thru.

It's been so bad these past few weeks. Poorly speaking staff, okay, luckily we speak English and German, but what a disaster. Went a second time, a bit later in the evening, and arrived around 9:40 PM... beware, everything is open until 10:00 PM, but from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, only the drive-thru is open. A wait of over 40 minutes is a real luxury these days. Orders are wrong, hot wings are simply fried a second time!!!... Even the fillet bites are cooked twice, bone dry and tasteless!!!!... Too bad, KFC!!!

Waiting 45 minutes for your order when there are 10 people ahead of you is too long. Of those 10 orders, at least 5 were wrong. The restaurant is filthy, sticky, and the trash cans are overflowing. Better to drive a bit further to another fast-food restaurant.
