While ordering, I got hair in my chicken, didn't receive any corn, and everything was soaked when I got it. Naturally, I received no help. Someone really needs to shave their beard.

Hot chicken and good place i will visit it again

I waited well over an hour and a half for my order, only to receive a cancellation without any explanation or reason. If an order cannot be delivered, I expect at the very least that this is communicated in time and that a reason is given. That did not happen. After that, I tried to contact the branch by phone multiple times throughout the evening. Not a single call was answered. In the end, I was left without food and without any form of information or service. And now I just have to wait and see if I get my money back at all. Truly terrible. This is absolutely not how you treat customers.

What a filthy mess there! You're stuck to the floor! Everything in the restaurant is so dirty. A play area for children... no toys and such a dirty rug is lying on the floor!!! Definitely a no-go!!!! They can barely hear you. Are we in the Netherlands?!?! So filthy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very bad food, it was way too salty and we had ordered a box meal but we got it on a platter and it was inedible, all in little bags. I mentioned it but the manager said that's how it's supposed to be and it was way too salty, people like that, says the manager, so we won't be coming back there, 50 euros wasted.

We had to wait over 28 minutes even though it wasn't busy... :( The fries were already cold, and only the burgers were still warm. So, really bad service. The tables were also dirty... :( I think I usually wait that long in a restaurant after ordering...

Waited for well over half an hour. Filthy place, you almost stick to the floor. There was a homeless man sleeping in the restaurant. The only upside was the extra food as compensation for the long wait.

The delivery took way too long and the Kipsalon wasn't even included in the order.

I try this KFC again about once a quarter, hoping that the experience will be better this time. Unfortunately, I continue to be amazed that this branch can keep operating in this way. This time, it started right at the drive-thru. There was a large green container in front of the entrance and the first ordering window was – as is practically always the case – out of order. After waiting for over 20 minutes, we finally reached the takeaway window, where we were served by a grumpy, English-speaking employee. When we asked for coleslaw, we were told that KFC “never sold it.” Next, we wanted to order a burger, but it was no longer available. The reason? It was busy and it was the holiday season. That is precisely the time when you expect there to be sufficient stock. On a previous visit, it was even worse: back then, there was no chicken available at all and you could only order drinks and ice cream. That is almost unbelievable for a fast-food chain that revolves around chicken. The condition of the branch has also left much to be desired for years. The outdoor lighting hasn't been working for a long time and the whole place looks unkempt. The biggest problem seems to me to be the lack of good management. Of course, something might run out or it might be busy once in a while, but if these kinds of situations occur time and again, there is clearly something structurally wrong. It is a real shame, because KFC has great products, but this branch absolutely does not do the brand justice.

Disgusting place, overpriced food

The food was tasteless. Upstairs, mice were running across the floor.

What a huge mess. Trash everywhere, it's really unbearable. On tables, on the floor by the bins, everywhere. It looks like a waste disposal station.

The quality of the food varies very often. Food delivery is often not possible. No difference in cups between disposable and reusable.

I have almost never received a complete order here; something is almost always missing. There is also often a long wait.

I missed a third of my order for takeout and when I tried calling them 3 times over the phone they didn't answer. Happens often here that they get your order wrong and the place is never clean, won't come here anymore since they owe me €5,-

I am from Belgium, but I sincerely swear to you this is the best KFC I have ever been to in my life, and the staff are the best. There was also a super sweet woman, her name is Esma, and I really want to thank her very much. I definitely recommend this KFC to you.

Drama, always wrong orders, long queues, fries taste like old oil, when you order something it is always a mystery what you get because there is ALWAYS something wrong with the order, check your order at the window yourself! Update 2 years later, nothing has changed at this place, it has only gotten worse, you stand waiting in the drive-thru for a super long time until someone helps you and the order is still incomplete and communication is via sign language, this looks like a place where suspended students have to fill their daytime activities.

I thought I could ordered a Wednesday meal deal.. but is was how stupid Thursday 🤣 The lady who helped me on this Thursday evening was genuinely kind. Thank you.

Ordered a box with 16 tenders, but there were only 15 in it, 4 of which were so small that together they were just as big as a normal tender. Spoke to a member of staff about it, who said she had nothing to do with the kitchen. The floor was dirty and everything in the building was sticky. Too bad, in the past this was a really fine KFC.

It is unbelievable how often they get orders wrong here. I had a very simple order, and even then I went back once because they hadn't made my loaded fries properly. Well, after waiting fifteen minutes, I got a new set, then I got the wrong sauce and everything is cold due to the waiting times. It's not normal! This isn't the first time this has happened either; we won't be eating here again.

We had ordered and didn't get a milkshake and the wrong cookies, and the man behind the counter was high so we still got the wrong cookies, but we went back and eventually got 8 cookies instead of 2. I'm going to eat there again because half of the meal was free.

The food was almost cold, some staff speak Dutch as well as a toddler, and some staff were high; they got our order wrong three times, and the result is free food.

I love the hot wings from the KFC concept. But this location is always very busy, and unfortunately, the quality suffers as a result. The atmosphere is gone since deliveries are now handed over through the front door instead of the drive-through. You can only sit somewhat quietly upstairs.

It's disgusting inside. The entire floor is dirty and hasn't been cleaned. One window in the drive-through has been closed for over a year, and you can see dishes in front of it. You can't pay by card at the drive-through, so you have to park a lot further away to use it inside. I waited 15 minutes inside because they were chatting with colleagues. The food was very cold and limp. All in all, it was rubbish. I'll never go back there.

The food was cold, and the manager wasn't very friendly. I had to go back three times because something was missing from my order. It's a shame I'm not used to KFC having such bad service. Not only was my order wrong, but several other people's. And then, of course, arguments ensued because people weren't satisfied with the food and service. We wanted to go to KFC for dinner in the evening, but when we arrived after a 40-minute drive, it was already closed at 11 pm, even though it was supposed to be open until midnight.

What a mess there. The level of Dutch spoken there is lower than preschool. They can't answer simple questions. And the conversation goes like this: "Is there fizz in the iced tea?" Is it iced tea with carbonation? You know, does it have bubbles? Does the iced tea have bubbles? Fizz? Like, psssst, no, you don't know? You don't understand me? Great, then... never mind... Then one of the girls stands behind the counter with her cap tilted, as if she doesn't understand how a cap works, biting her nails with her fingers in her mouth. So I asked (and demonstrated with my own fingers), "Gosh, would you mind taking your fingers out of your mouth?" It was absolute chaos there. It was around 5:30 on a Saturday, and it wasn't even that busy. Everything was filthy and disgusting. I had a few bites, but I just left and ate somewhere else. I didn't feel comfortable there.

First of all everyone's food was wrong and we waited 40 minutes for our food, and then they also want to be rude when I complain about how long it took, and when we did get our food our order was completely wrong bad and it was cold so we ended up throwing our food away, and the communication was bad because they only speak English, unbelievably bad I have been coming here for years and it was my favorite fast food chain.

After I finished my order, I got a massive infection on my tongue. And yes, it was from KFC because that was the only thing I'd eaten. Low quality, very disgusting. It used to be always neat and clean, but now when you sit down at KFC, everything is filthy. Chairs are sticky, tables are dirty, in short, hygiene is really subpar. Nothing is being done about it.

The staff was very friendly and their behavior was excellent.

The food wasn't very warm. Communication was in English... Furthermore, even though it wasn't busy, it was hard to find a clean table. You could literally eat off the floor. There was so much food on the floor. Cleanliness is nowhere to be found here. This was by far the worst KFC I've ever eaten at.

The most awful fast food place ever. The staff is unfriendly, incompetent, and incomprehensible; if you even get any help at all. It's also downright disgusting inside, and I wouldn't even serve my dog ​​the food I received (after waiting an hour!). Don't hesitate and walk 20 meters further into the place with the golden arches! This way, I don't think the KFC on Sontplein has much of a reason to exist.

KFC was once better than it is today: 1. The waiting screen was pretty hard to understand and its even broken now. 2. Many of the staff do not speak Dutch which can be complex and has been for some friends of mine. 3. The time it takes to finish your order is much slower compared to other fastfood chains and rivals. 4. The overall quality of the food you get besides the chicken is also lower than other chains and rivals. 5. The tables don't seem to be cleaned as regularly and that comes over to me as unclean and unhygienic. 6. The restaurant sometimes closes before its official closing time, usually because of vague reasons. For instance they once ran out of chicken somehow. 7. The price has only far increased in recent times while they removed small benefits like unlimited drinks that you could get yourself. 8. The manager is very hard and complex to communicate with as he doesnt seem to master the Dutch nor the English language properly and it can be unclear to understand his motives or explanations. To sum it up, just a decade ago i would really put KFC in my favorite spot, however today only a fraction remains of the good chain it once was, it no longer seems to beat its rivals for me anymore, it has rather fallen far below them, i rarely even search up this place anymore because of how depricated it has become today. There is a lot to improve and with KFC's worth being over 30 billion i also hope that they will take the critic into account and make themselves the good restaurant again that they once were.

KFC, the price-quality ratio is disproportionate. Very expensive and just plain bad. The food was cold, with minimal toppings. A huge mess inside even though hardly anyone was there.

This is so awful!!!! A bucket of lukewarm, limp chicken. How authentic and crispy is that??? Crispy doesn't make me laugh, tender, tender is what that is. And then that pathetic bag of fries, size M, slightly larger than the bag of fries sauce, but for €3.60!!!! Yes, really €3.60!!! A toddler would put it in a tooth. Cononel Sanders would be turning in his grave. Terrible quality and way too expensive!!!!

The place was dirty and frankly that is still the nice word I am aloud to use. My food was ok but my partner's burger that he orders was dry and the sauce was sour and did not have any taste. But that is not my main consurn. My main consurn is the place was dirty and I mean dirty as if the people that work there does not have pride in their work. There is papers on the floor and previous customers order slips on the tables and also on the floor. The tables had left over food crumbs and also coldrink spills. There was wet spill on the floor which is a slipping Hazard. There was also crushed chips and food on the floor under the tables. If the place looks like that, how hygienic is the staff in the kitchen or is the kitchen even clean? It was absolutely disgusting!! and frankly disappointing!!

Good but they don't offer table service like in Drachten. I recommend Drachten more, it's warmer, nicer and has better service.

I went to KFC Sontplein today, September 30, 2025, and wanted to order for myself and my son, but I couldn't pay by card; it was only cash. I said, "Okay, I'll just use my debit card at the bank," and I drove back to the bank. When I got there, they said you can only pay in cash, but only in the exact change. I was furious; I had fifty euros. I snapped at them, saying, "I went to the bank specifically and used my debit card, and now you're showing up with the exact change." I had fifty euros. I said, "Why didn't you tell me before that you had to pay in the exact change?" "What a mess," I said, and left screaming. Ugh. Why don't you just close the store if you can't pay with cash? And while I was angry she sat there laughing stupidly at the cash register instead of apologizing it seemed like she enjoyed it pfffff.. Well I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN WHAT A BUSINESS. PFFFF. BACK AND FORTH FOR NOTHING. They should be ashamed of themselves really. People don't buy anything here they treat customers very badly. Pffff. This is really worthless. I am so disappointed pffffff. Really worthless of the owner who runs this and does nothing about his staff who treat customers like this. The customer is king as far as I know and not the other way around. The staff should be trained in how to best deal with customers. I say no more. I hope this changes in the future pffff.

Tonight I picked up an order for a "Crunchy Cheese" burger, topped with extra bacon. I got home and found I received a "Crunchy Cheese" burger without cheese AND bacon. I tried to call to report something was wrong, but no one answered the phone.

From the picture you can see how often I eat at KFC, but what I witnessed was shocking. Staff were wiping their noses with bare hands and then handling the chicken directly before putting it into boxes. On top of that, about 7 out of 10 visits come with some sort of issue—either they’re out of chicken or the payment system isn’t working. The problems just go on and on.

Ate at this KFC for the first time. What a disaster! Everything was cold and therefore inedible. I'll never go back.

Took a long time, friends walked in and got their food right away, and the order was wrong again. Which unfortunately has happened to me more often now.

Soggy and lukewarm fries. The large fries were the same size as the small fries from McDonald's. The chicken burger was meh. The chicken wings were dry and also lukewarm. They don't even know how to serve them.
