I checked the opening hours, adjusted my route, and when I arrived, it was closed. Both Google and the website said it should be open. Very disappointing.

What terrible service and unfriendly and unmotivated staff. We had to wait 40 minutes for our order to be ready. No, it wasn't rush hour, but 3:30 PM. When we received our food, it wasn't complete and wasn't even tasty. We'll never go back to KFC DRACHTEN again!

Just thinking about my recent visit to the infamous fast-food chain, which mistakenly calls itself KFC (where the 'F' stands for 'Fried' and the 'C' for 'Chicken,' but the whole combination, in my mind, stands for "Awful, Frustrating, and Chaotic"), gives me chills and a nagging sense of existential emptiness. This wasn't a meal; this was an epic of misery, a ballad of appallingly bad service, and a tragedy of missed culinary opportunities.

What a gnome, the service could be better, they all look angry, that's not possible, what a gnome, restaurant, no milkshakes, what the gnome, come there for the flipping milkshake, what the gnome, this is not possible, you can look happy when you bring food, but for KFC, that's difficult, they all look angry, there's no image to look at, McDonald's is much better, they don't look angry when they bring food

It's not even worth one star. We left without ordering. The place was packed downstairs, and we weren't allowed upstairs. There was one free table downstairs, but it was absolutely filthy. It was terrible.

The Kentucky fries were cold, with very few fries and oversized packaging. The cinnamon milkshake was far below par in terms of taste and quality. The restaurant isn't very clean. The staff isn't very friendly and doesn't do much behind the counter or in the restaurant in terms of cleaning. If I were the owner, I would train the staff better and teach them how to maintain a clean and customer-friendly restaurant. There are definitely differences between KFC restaurants in terms of food quality and cleanliness.

I don't know what's more fried in here, the chicken or the floor. Everything's sticky, everything stinks, and my soul felt greasy when I walked out.

My visit to this location was unfortunately disappointing. Firstly, the upstairs was closed to visitors. The staff wouldn't let customers go upstairs, so we had to wait for a table downstairs to become available. Secondly, the chicken, or rather the oil in which it was cooked, was of very poor quality. The frying oil was clearly old and dirty, giving the chicken an unpleasant taste. I find this unacceptable, especially since many young children, aged between 2 and 8, were eating in the restaurant. I sincerely hope this feedback will help the managers of this location improve the quality and service in the future.

I went through the drive-thru and was told I had to wait 5 minutes for my order to be ready, so I thought it was fine. However, the order didn't arrive for 30 minutes, so it was a bit of a waste of time. I won't be coming back.

Incredible service! We arrived at the drive-through and were waiting to pay, but the employee was standing next to it, quietly smoking. We waited for five minutes, but no one came. Finally, we drove on and saw her still standing there smoking. Bizarre! The order and the food were decent, but the service was absolutely subpar.

Unbelievable how poorly maintained this place is. If you go through the drive-through, you're lucky if anyone even comes to the intercom. I once experienced no one coming, so I went inside to the counter, where no one was there either. Then I called the number for the KFC Drachten branch. Someone came from the back of the kitchen and said, "Sorry, I had my headset on." Dude, we'd been waiting for fifteen minutes. The food was mediocre, but it was expensive. The fries were absolutely disgusting. I wanted to give them a second chance, so I went again. Same story. We spent another half hour in the drive-through. "Yes, they said, we're busy," they said. Then the order was completely wrong. I paid 25 euros for a few pieces of chicken (we were missing half) and two large iced teas (one medium because they got that wrong too). So I went back inside (where it was a complete mess, by the way). They said it was busy, but there was only one customer. The upper floor was already closed off. The woman behind the counter can't read the receipt. She doesn't understand how that works or something. What can the staff do there? I can't imagine that place making a profit. I'd go to the McDonald's next door. Most people have already figured it out, because the McDonald's gets a lot more people. It would be better to move the KFC out of there and make a bigger parking lot for the McDonald's. Clean up that mess.

Takes a long time I wouldn't come

It took over half an hour to get our food. And there was no mention of the long wait. Voucher 172. 14-9-2025. Ordered at 12:53. Received food at 13:41.

I would like to file a complaint about an unpleasant experience we recently had at one of your locations. Upon arrival at the checkout on September 14th at 7:26 PM, we were approached by a staff member who asked if we could please wait. We politely replied that this was no problem. When she then wanted to check us in (presumably for registration), we in turn asked if she could please wait. To our surprise, she responded by saying "calm down, tf." We find it highly unprofessional and unacceptable that we, as guests, are addressed and verbally abused in this manner. This language is unnecessary, disrespectful, and certainly not appropriate in a customer-focused environment. We kindly request that you take this situation seriously and address the staff member in question so that this can be prevented in the future. We would also appreciate feedback on the steps being taken in response to this complaint. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

The food took a relatively long time, and we were the only ones there. All the tables and the floor were dirty, with lots of food scraps. There was hair in our food, and the burgers were dry.

It took half an hour for my fries and burger to arrive, and several people in front of us were also waiting that long. This isn't the first time we've had to wait that long for our food, unfortunately.

The food was as you'd expect from KFC. It was okay, but not cheap. Table service took quite a while.

We went through the drive-thru because we had a bad experience inside. The chicken is really good. It does take quite a while to get it, though. But that might have been due to the special burger. Last time, we suddenly had to prove we'd paid because they weren't communicating well inside.

I had a cheeseburger and the chicken was so small that a chicken tender could fit on it and the cheese wasn't melted and the worst part was I got sick from it

Upon entering, we saw that the upstairs was blocked off with chairs, making it impossible to sit there. Perhaps it would have been a better idea to let customers sit there, as the tables downstairs were simply filthy and uncleaned. The half-eaten food was still on the table next to us, delighting the mosquitoes. There wasn't a single clean table to be found, and there are only a few tables downstairs. It's strange that this is already too much work for the staff. And I haven't even mentioned the overflowing trash can, which was practically useless. It's a shame the employee who was supposed to be behind the counter preferred to chat with someone she knew outside instead of doing her job, so ordering from there wasn't an option. They should send the staff to Groningen; they know how things work there. It's a very clean restaurant with friendly staff.

We went to KFC for dinner yesterday. We ordered an original bucket, a meal with a burger with a big combo. Then, at night, I had stomach and belly intestine pain, and it still remains until now. I couldn't sleep because of it. In the morning, just now, all of us, especially my son, had diarrhoea (thin poop). My son just ate fries. We guess the oil was old. My stomach is sensitive to oil. The old oil can cause severe pain to my intestine. Food safety must be strictly guaranteed. We will not come back after this bad experience, though we went to KFC regularly in the past time.

I ordered two milkshakes, and they were really small, and when I called to discuss them, I got a grumpy/angry manager/employee on the phone. I won't be eating here again.

Chicken is always good! It is and remains a fast food chain, but that has its charm. Long story short; it was all fine :)

After waiting for 30 minutes I got my order: I ordered 9 hots with coke medium, medium fries and sweet chilli sauce. And this is what I finally got: (3) original instead of 9 hot wings, orange instead of coke, small fries and mayonnaise🙂

Drove through the drive, staff is horrible. Nothing was said to us. Only if we wanted to wait in the parking lot for 2 milkshakes that were already ready. I don't know who runs the business in Drachten but it is really horrible

The staff is very disrespectful and dirty. I waited for 20 minutes at the counter and asked if there was anyone to help me and they said sorry, no, and then I left and had to eat somewhere else.

Apparently KFC is not a fast food chain because it takes 30 minutes before you get what you ordered, you might as well eat at a restaurant and get it faster!

Just drove through the drive there and encountered a very antisocial employee. Who couldn't even tell us whether we had to wait 4 minutes or 20 minutes. The gentleman then got angry and it was our problem while we were still friendly despite the gentleman's shouting and antisocial way of communicating. For a restaurant where so few people come, you could better employ some friendlier staff, I think. In the end, of course, we left without an order

There were no toilets to be found

After waiting 30 minutes (with almost no other customers) for a takeaway we got a Bucket with 18 pieces instead of 20, 2 cold burgers and 4 portions of cold, inedible fries. While eating the chicken we saw some blood next to the bones, which is extremely unhealthy. This is definitely the last time I will go to this KFC, because this was not my first bad experience. I have read many other negative reviews about this place, no wonder it is always almost empty!

I think this is a great kfc, staff is friendly and the food is fine. Although I can warn about forgotten things I regularly get something here and 1 in 4 times something is forgotten or you have coke that just tastes like water with carbon dioxide.

What a bad experience!! When we entered, many tables were free but not one was clean. We also heard other people complaining so we asked if a table could be cleaned. This was done immediately by a young boy. Once seated I could not put a bag on the floor. The floor was extremely dirty. Crumbs everywhere, broken napkins and the floor was shiny with grease. It was quiet, a total of 5 orders. Of the 5 orders, 1 order was correct! From a long wait to wrong food and cold food. After 20 minutes we received 2 cold burgers and by cold I mean really cold (not lukewarm)! Of course we went to the counter with the 2 burgers and said that the burgers were cold. The manager (I suspect since the rest were very young and this one a lot older) got angry and said that the burgers were not cold. Eventually she warmed them up but we were still given a loud dressing down. Not only we but also the other guests watched in amazement at how this lady behaved like a fishwife! No, never again this KFC!!!

Received the wrong food and drinks. You also pay a 1 euro deposit that you cannot get back. Milkshakes were out of mayo. It took almost 20 minutes before I got 1 burger and 1 fries and then it was practically cold and completely limp and soggy. Not recommended to go here.

Unfortunately, this is a place where I said we would not come again when I came before, but we came because of the insistence of a friend. Always dirty, sloppy and messy. The service is very, very slow. They need to increase the number of employees and pay attention to cleanliness. Mc Donalds, located right next to it, is always clean. This place is always dirty too. It really never comes. You will see it in detail now. These are just some of them. There's more but we couldn't stomach it.

A few minutes ago I ordered hot wings from a person, asking if I could only get wings (in a very polite way) to which they bluntly replied no, this is not possible. While it is possible elsewhere at the KFC. Final score: 5 chicken legs and 1 wing. This establishment is hopeless.

We don't come here often, but when we do it's always wrong. Have to walk back and forth at least 4 times to report that the order is incorrect, and the staff is just rude. Never once an apology or apology for the inconvenience. Usually the food is okay, but this time the fries were also cold. We were also upstairs and were asked to come downstairs because they were closing upstairs while there were several people there. It was dirty downstairs and there wasn't much room. Very bad experience. The order was incorrect up to 3 times, I really didn't understand this because I saw the cashier look at the order receipt 50 times. I also had to wait 45 minutes for food. Good evening owner of KFC, I didn't want to leave an opinion or review because there is nothing to give an opinion about, your staff only takes advantage of you because you are literally not there yourself! They made me wait 10 minutes in the drive thru tonight because the four of them wanted to smoke and take a break, after they went back to work your staff looked at us and turned their backs on us and stayed that way until we had to shout so loudly to get their attention. Your person comes to the window and says to us, I told you “just a moment”! I have now been waiting for 15 minutes for your staff to provide me with service. Too bad for all the money you put into this business. Close the tent, sell the pad and go invest in something or other people. Success.

Outer layer of Hotwings was dark and greasy. Already indicates that this 2nd one is deep fried. Dry and greasy. Not to eat. 3/4 bucket in the wheelie bin. Worst KFC in the Netherlands. Really needs quality control.

Yesterday we had a 28 hot wings bucket, but it was not tasty. The hot wings were old and probably fried twice. The crispy layer was broken and the meat was too tough and hard.

After many disappointing visits to KFC in Steenwijk, I haven't been to KFC in a long time, but what a wonderful experience in Drachten. Thank you for this positive KFC experience. Delicious chicken pieces. Fast and friendly service. That's more than worth the detour.

Had a normal 2 person evening food order. Food wasn't super hot. And something was still missing. We called and were able to pick it up. After we picked it up, they looked at us grumpy and when they handed over the order, they didn't say anything and they almost got thrown into the car.

Had a chicken tender sandwich but it was more of a ketchup sandwich. Almost all tables were filthy while we were the only ones in the restaurant except for another couple. And we also had to wait a long time for our order. The fries were very tasty. And the . deposit cup machine system is a solution that more fast food chains should copy.

Mostly do take out here. Depending on who is working the service and quality of the food can be really great and actually fast. But I've had a few times that waiting was over 45 minutes. They claimed they where busy but barely any people where inside. They just forgot to put in the order to the kitchen.

Overall good experience. Order is very automated not too friendly for a foreigner, and customer service is again not too friendly but efficient... Has few vega options including menus. Tastes is always great at KFC. Decently clean inside, and well furnished.

My niece who works at KFC. The manager at work in Drachten was sexually abused. His name is Jahaierr. I'm posting this because this is not normal and I can't stand up for myself!!! Customers beware!!!!. And employees beware. Jahaierr is 30 and is a manager. I can't vouch for myself!!!

So done with this KFC, something is always missing / something is lukewarm / it takes a long time, etc. You have to return the cup, it didn't work so I got a voucher with QR code from the staff, tried it at home, no longer valid, it's already used once. How hopeless

At this KFC you can always just grab a tasty bite to eat for a quick bite! In my opinion much better than the competition next door!!

This KFC is really the worst KFC I have ever experienced... it always takes so long for food to be made... this potato and chicken still has to come from the farmer... and really... that's what it tastes like. Always cracking fresh and super hot just out of the pan... people are negative about this KFC but honestly... I'd rather wait a little longer for tasty KFC than quickly for skeere KFC.. This is my favorite KFC in all of Drachten!
