Khao Thai in Indischewijk

Via the website, a Super Doner sandwich costs 10 euros and a Turkish cheese pizza 5.50. In the end, I have to pay 17 euros?! It's really a shame they treat customers like this; it's unfair and bad service. This was the last time for me.

De bediening is vriendelijk, daar is niks mis mee. De pannenkoeken zelf konden een stuk beter. Die van mij was lauw, verklaart wellicht waarom het zo lang duurde voordat hij werd geserveerd. Bovendien waren de spekjes licht aangebrand. Het eten krijgt dus een minnetje. Prijzen zijn OK.

Since the restaurant appealed to me, I went in and asked for a table for one person for dinner. The server told me I could choose a table, which I did. Then I waited 10 minutes until someone else asked me what I wanted to order—difficult without a menu. I finally got one and was able to order. It came with a plate of bread and some kind of spread, very nice! For my main course, I ordered rump roast—medium. It was good for me because it wasn't as bloody as medium usually is, but the meat was excellent. According to the menu, a green salad should have been included, but it never arrived, and since the server had forgotten about me, I didn't ask for it. All in all, I paid €39 for water, beer, and the meat. The service, however, left much to be desired.

First, we enjoyed drinks on the heated, covered terrace. Then we had the choice of dining inside or outside. We ended up enjoying a lovely meal outside. The food was delicious. Great service and excellent value. Definitely worth a return visit.
