Restaurant The Crown in Waarder- en Veerpolder

First, we enjoyed drinks on the heated, covered terrace. Then we had the choice of dining inside or outside. We ended up enjoying a lovely meal outside. The food was delicious. Great service and excellent value. Definitely worth a return visit.

Via the website, a Super Doner sandwich costs 10 euros and a Turkish cheese pizza 5.50. In the end, I have to pay 17 euros?! It's really a shame they treat customers like this; it's unfair and bad service. This was the last time for me.

De bediening is vriendelijk, daar is niks mis mee. De pannenkoeken zelf konden een stuk beter. Die van mij was lauw, verklaart wellicht waarom het zo lang duurde voordat hij werd geserveerd. Bovendien waren de spekjes licht aangebrand. Het eten krijgt dus een minnetje. Prijzen zijn OK.

Great location, good service, and high-quality food. The tuna and steak tartare were very flavorful. Good wine recommendations. Just ask for them, and you will be surprised by Alice, the sommelier. The steak was prepared superbly. The guinea fowl with the poultry cream was a treat for the taste buds. I shared the cheese with my dining companion, paired with a tawny port, and to finish, a chocolate mousse and mango strawberry, though without coconut :)
