Portions are on the small side, but the dishes have a good house style, the wine bottles are a bit too cold... The atmosphere is nice, the staff are excellent. All in all, highly recommended.

Before the restaurant expanded, I had three delicious meals here. The previous times, like yesterday, I ordered the Black Angus burger with raclette. I expected a nice, juicy burger with a half-melted slice of raclette cheese and caramelized onions. What I got was a small, dried-out burger with nowhere-to-be-found cheese on it because it had been in the oven too long, and the onions were nowhere to be found. My friend had the €27.50 flat iron steak. A far cry from the photos posted here from a while back. This, too, was a dried-out piece of meat (four bites in total). It seemed like it was pre-cooked in the afternoon and then forgotten in the oven that evening. The fries were also dry and nothing special. We also had a tartare, which, thankfully, is practically untouchable. What I found even more annoying the entire evening was that after the waiter asked if I'd enjoyed it and told me I'd been very disappointed with the burger this time, I was confronted about it by three different people (in a strangely "positive" way—it'll be alright, right?!) throughout the entire evening. These three people offered me a coffee as compensation, which then simply appeared on the receipt when we paid, which we paid without any hassle anyway. A real shame and strange, because, again, we had a wonderful meal here before. Perhaps there's a different chef? And a different crew? Nothing compared to the past. Expectations were high (as are the prices), but the food and the experience were well below average.

Everything is delicious, super fun team. Big compliments!

We ended up at this place through an Amex deal. A big plus of this restaurant is that they let you choose from three starters, a main course, and desserts. The predominantly young (but very friendly!) staff tries very hard but could use some guidance. We were repeatedly offered dishes and drinks that weren't ours, and they forgot our appetizers, so we didn't get them until after the starter. The tables are quite small, especially for three people, and they've crammed too many into a small space. However, the atmosphere and the food more than make up for it. Definitely recommended for Haarlem.

Cozy chaos with small portions. The wine list is quickly presented to you instead of the menu. The staff gets in each other's way, and drinks are delivered either too late, too late, or too many. The atmosphere remains good, but for that price, you'd expect a bit more. It's a nice place, though.

Expectations were quite high. The atmosphere was nice and pleasant. But the food was on the table within 5 minutes. So, not a pleasant way to start the day. The pace was fast. You felt like you had to vacate the table quickly. The tables were cramped, and you were sitting too close to your neighbors. In short: this isn't the place for a fun night out.

From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their warmth and attentiveness. We chose the three-course menu, complemented by an extra appetizer—a wise decision for anyone who wants a fuller sense of the chef’s craft. Our selections were: Calamari fritti (appetizer) – lightly crisp, perfectly seasoned, and served with a fresh, tangy accompaniment that elevated its simplicity. For me: steak tartare, confit de canard, and chocolade mousse. For my wife: burrata, konijngsbolee (a delicate mushroom dish), and chocolade mousse. Each plate was beautifully executed, combining balanced flavors and thoughtful presentation. The steak tartare stood out as one of the best I’ve ever had—fresh, rich, and precisely seasoned with just the right kick of acidity. The duck confit was indulgent yet refined, its tender meat falling effortlessly from the bone, complemented by a flavorful reduction. My wife’s burrata was creamy and light, and the mushroom dish (konijngsbolee) offered deep, earthy flavors that were both comforting and elegant. Portions were generous—something that deserves praise. I’m a good eater, and often fine dining portions can feel more decorative than satisfying, but Corridor managed to strike the perfect balance between quality and quantity. We ended with the chocolade mousse, a simple yet flawless dessert: rich in flavor, perfectly airy in texture, and a delightful finish to the meal. To cap off the evening, the staff treated us to a complimentary glass of limoncello—a lovely and thoughtful gesture. If I had to note any downsides, they’d be minor. The restaurant was quite lively (and a bit loud), which is understandable for a Friday evening crowd. Our table was small and placed near a section under renovation, where a faint smell of construction materials lingered. Also, the wait between courses felt slightly long—my duck arrived lukewarm while my wife’s dish was perfectly hot. Still, these small imperfections hardly detracted from what was otherwise a memorable dining experience. Restaurant Corridor delivered on all the essentials: delicious food, attentive service, and a relaxed yet elegant vibe. Thanks to the Amex Dining for 2 program, we discovered a restaurant that we might not have found otherwise—but now plan to revisit regularly. Corridor proves that fine dining can be genuine, flavorful, and welcoming—all at once. Verdict: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) Superb food, generous portions, and sincere service. We went at the invitation of Amex. They put us at a table at the back of the restaurant where it's still under construction, which was quite unpleasant. The food took a while and the atmosphere has a bar vibe, with noise and music. I congratulate and give a 10 out of 10 to the kitchen staff, the waiters and waitresses: delicious food!

It's a beautiful location with a good atmosphere. The table we were at was a bit small for two. The food was well-seasoned and delicious. It's a shame that the dishes are served on small, rather standard plates. This doesn't allow the dishes to fully develop, which is a shame. We were there as part of an American Express promotion; you could choose from a set menu, which was very positive. The staff could be more focused on offering extra courses/dishes. We asked for an extra cheese course. It was unusual that it was served at the same time as the dessert (chocolate mousse); both the cheese and the chocolate mousse were on the table at the same time. In the end, we spent around €160 for two people.

This was the second time I ate here, and once again it was a huge disappointment. The food was served practically cold. After a comment to the staff, they offered to reheat it... Reheat a cold steak, reheat fries? Nothing else was done about our findings. When we paid, we were asked again if we'd enjoyed our meal. Well, no, it was just awful! We received a complimentary glass of wine. We simply laughed off the "see you later" message upon leaving. No, we won't be back.

Atmospheric restaurant, delicious food at a good price.

This is the third time we've dined at Menu Corridor in the former Koepelgevangenis (prison dome) in Haarlem, and it was once again as usual: simply delicious and well-prepared. This time we opted for a starter and main course, followed by a leisurely dessert with coffee and a good glass of wine. The service is professional and friendly, the wine selections are delicious, and the food is both affordable and high-quality. In short: highly recommended for anyone in Haarlem looking for a great place with a unique location, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere.

This used to be the corridor between freedom and prison and is now a restaurant. The misfortune that a noisy group of drinkers ended the week here (not really your target group, right?) was solved by giving us a table in a quieter part of the restaurant. Great. And the food? I loved it!

In a word FRESH. The various dishes are full of flavor and you taste everything without an aftertaste. Pure like nature itself. Well balanced and beautifully served.

A beautiful ambiance, a sea bass "to die for" and professional and good wine advice. That I could still reminisce about "times gone by" with my best service mate from the officer training - who is the creator and owner - made the experience even more beautiful.

Wow! The redfish was cooked perfectly, with very crispy skin. The fennel tagliatelle gave a touch of freshness, while the sauce was to die for. Savoy cabbage is magnificent! For dessert, the lemon meringue and ice cream ended the meal very pleasantly, accompanied by a glass of Sauternes, a little too much. The madeleines (cooked "à la minute") and their Bourbon vanilla ice cream also ended this delicious moment very well. Efficient and fast service. Good cozy atmosphere, with good music. Address to recommend!

We had the pleasure of dining in this special and cosy restaurant. I loved the food, atmosphere and most of all the service was excellent. I definitely look forward to revisiting them again. I was extremely impressed with the food. I must say It’s rare that I find a restaurant in Haarlem that demonstrates extraordinary culinary skills. Please send my compliments to the chef.

Veel te veel tafeltjes op elkaar gepropt, akoestiek last te wensen over. In 1 uur voor en hoofdgerecht geserveerd. Toetje en koffie maar thuis, een verademing. Kwaliteit eten matig, wel lekkere wijn. Maar wat kan je daar aan verpesten. Restaurant van grote stappen snel thuis, verdienmodel zonder kwaliteit. Jammer.. Misschien is het de bedoeling hierna naar de film te gaan? Dat zou de haast kunnen verklaren. In ieder geval niet het gevoel een avondje uit te zijn. Eten en wegwezen.

Very nice to have been here once. It is a relatively small restaurant, but with sufficient staff, so we were served very well. Not 5 stars because the acoustics are really bad, which makes it very noisy and we sometimes had difficulty hearing each other. We stood outside, a little overstimulated, after a very nice evening

Two weeks ago we had dinner here after the movie. It was a quick bite experience, in 45 minutes we were outside again having ordered a bottle of wine and a starter and main course. Price quality is not really in balance because the portions were relatively small. The taste of the food was delicious! Service was extremely friendly! Location is unique! I think they can make more of it because the ingredients for a successful restaurant are there. It was the details; For example, I missed a sandwich beforehand and the food came quickly one after the other even though we didn't have to go to the movie. Because we were a bit disappointed overall, we are giving them a few years to develop further before we go here again.

Today we wanted to eat something at 4 o'clock before the film screening. The site said open from 4am. Upon arrival, the entire team was eating and the response was not hospitable. Moreover, it was not clear that they were still closed. Even when asked, no friendly response, only that they are only open from a quarter to 5 today. Very strange and quite rude. It is not the first time that there has been some criticism of the hospitality. Apparently things are going too well. And it's really not a star tent. Slottijden van 2 uur is te kort. Als de te serveren gerechten op tijd geserveerd worden is 2 uur wellicht voldoende. Mijn gerecht van vlees was veel te veel ketjap gebruikt (te zoet)

Nice place but food quality is mediocre and very overpriced. Since I could only eat half of my main course and asked for a doggy bag, this was refused. Very annoying in these times of food waste. So I don't go there anymore

Vriendelijke bediening, leuke sfeer. Wel behoorlijk aan de prijs voor wat je op je bord krijgt. Glas wijn ook behoorlijk aan de prijs. Knolselderij voorgerecht was wel aardig, de rogvleugel lekker. Echter de bospaddenstoel (hoofdgerecht) was ver onder maat. Gebakken paddestoelen op een bord met wat bonen. Weinig en fantasieloos.

Had a lovely walk-in dinner with my wife after a movie in the nearby cinema. Very nice staff and delicious food. The starter (various shellfish in a beautiful sauce) was great. The main dish with mushrooms was lovely as well. The sauce of the ray was a bit on the sweet side as only improvement area. Open sauvignon blanc was excellent. All of that for 50€ per person: Really worth a visit!!

Delicious food. Good quality oysters, calamari, shrimp croquettes. The burger was also very tasty. All this with a good glass of bubbles, a bottle of white wine and excellent service. Top!

You sit comfortably there, the service is friendly. Food very average. It tastes as if the portions are ready and warm. Was also on the table too quickly. Sauce/drizzle on the fish does not taste homemade but with instant base. Dessert was great. Quite the price considering the quality.

We were a group of 5 among whom were two of our family members from Ireland. We were disappointed in the offerings of menu: quite limited and no daily specials even on a Saturday evening. Bread is considered extra at a price. The servings are small. Price for the ONE vegetarian offering is too high. The biggest shock are the RIDICULOUSLY high prices for wine. One of our party knows his wines and he had sticker shock. We paid €43 for a middling red wine! Dessert menu is also sparse. They “hype the prison” but you’re actually next door.

We wanted to try it as we had family visiting and we live close by. The menu is limited with about 5 or 6 mains. The tables are quite close together but perhaps because it was a Saturday night. You must pay extra for bread, a bottle of Pellegrino is €6. There were no daily specials which you would expect. The wine list is OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced. One of our party who knows a lot about wine was fairly shocked at the costs. We paid €43 for a middling bottle of red. I ordered the schol and the plate was presented nicely but the filet was tiny. Two of our group ordered the ONLY vegetarian option and they said it was good. The desert menu is also quite sparse. I think the restaurant gets patrons by getting you to think, oh cool, I’m eating in a prison! But you’re not. Save your €€.

Service nice and correct, nice wine list, but it is very expensive, more than in comparable restaurants. as starters we ate oysters and prawns. These were very tasty, so it was a pity that it diminished afterwards. It was not possible to order the meat 'extra rare' (my favorite), because it was pre-cooked, which is strange for a flat iron steak in my opinion. The Breton fish soup contained not a single piece of fish except for five mussel shells, was broom salt and had a skin on it when it was delivered. (my table companion said that she had eaten here once during the day and that the soup was well filled) My comment about this was passed on to the kitchen, but I received no response, which is a shame! All in all a downer after a promising start. After the main course I paid. Nice location, great atmosphere, unfortunately not worth repeating for the time being.

Still not a great experience. Food is fine, but not convincing. Many dishes are disappointing in terms of portion, layout and presentation. This means that price-quality is not correct. For example, the garnish for the guinea fowl was French fries? And some steamed vegetables? The controls were certainly fine, but still felt a bit forced. In general not recommended, the costs simply do not match the experience and quality. Take a cheese board for example: you pay €14 for this and you get three small cheeses.

Heerlijk ongedwongen gegeten in dit aparte restaurant. Op het oude gevangeniscomplex is volop activiteit. Het restaurant heeft een beperkte keuze qua eten, maar een ruime wijnkeuze. Maar beide zijn van uitstekende kwaliteit en worden vriendelijk en attent uitgeserveerd. Top. Kortom een leuk restaurant om te bezoeken.

Overall een aangename ervaring enig minpuntjes waren de tijden tussen de diverse gerechten (heel kort en best lang) en dat als het wat drukker het geluidsniveau aanzienlijk hoog gaat worden dat rustig praten lastig kan zijn. Personeel is overigens fantastisch.

My partner had made a reservation for Valentine's Day and upon arrival we were told that we had an hour and a half to eat our 3-course meal for €42.50. What? Parking was a bit problematic, so my husband had to go outside again. When we returned, we hadn't even had a sip of our appetizer before the starter was already on the table. Starter was good. As a main course I chose PeenWellington. Seriously🤔 a piece of winter carrot in half a slice of puff pastry with mushroom pasta and further on the plate mashed potatoes with some bacon. Separately on the menu this costs €22.50. Dessert made up for a lot. Wine list is very extensive with bottles of wine, but there were only 3 choices for a glass. Ambience is cozy. Unfortunately I didn't want to complain on this treated evening, but won't be coming back here! Price-quality ratio, in my opinion, is hard to find when it comes to main course. The choice was 1 meat or fish dish and 2 vegetarian dishes. To We stood outside at 8 p.m. disappointed!

What a gem! Super convenient and tastefully decorated place, which we visit frequently after a movie night in Koepel. A wonderful selection of wine and desserts, and the main menu changes every two weeks, which is great! P.S. A small note to the owner/chef: change your meat supplier as steaks are not good, especially given the price, maybe just be a temporary problem, but 2 out 4 last months were 50% fat (and it is not wagyu:)

Ate here on Valentine's Day and the service was (too) quick and impersonally attentive, the atmosphere was reasonable to good and the food was reasonable to good, but everything moves so quickly here! You feel like a guest upon entering, but you don't actually feel like a guest at all, everything after that goes on automatic commercial pilot in a super tight time schedule. As if all the dishes on the simple menu have been ready for you in the kitchen for quite some time. At the table at 7 p.m., 2 glasses of wine on the table in no time, asked twice within 10 minutes whether we have already made a choice... And then you are already eating your starter at 7.15 p.m. and the main course at 7.45 p.m. . This has really never happened before. After paying €132, we stood outside again at 9 p.m. and looked at each other with disappointment. This was not the food and atmosphere we were looking forward to well in advance.

What bad service! We got a time slot. (why?, Corona is long gone!) When taking the order, the lady at the counter indicated that we had to eat very quickly because otherwise we would not make it in time (?!). And that it might be better to only have a main course(?!). Wowwww…… The tables are far too close together. A private conversation was not possible because our neighbors heard everything word for word. Price and quality ratio is completely out of balance! I'll never come here again!

Service is super good, but the food and wine are mediocre. They try to make something special with 'interesting' dishes, but unfortunately that doesn't really work. The menu is limited and does not offer anything really tasty. They would do well to add a number of more standard dishes to the menu instead of making difficult things. The dishes all did not have much taste, both starter and main course, and even the dessert was mediocre. The open red wine, pinot noir, is not recommended, it tastes stale.

Simple interior with reverberation. Nice menu and reasonably priced. The table is sold twice that evening and therefore you are immediately informed of your end time when you are welcomed. Money driven and therefore a place not to return to for the older experienced restaurant guest. If you fit into the target group, then it is certainly not bad.

Had dinner and drinks in Corridors for the second time on Friday. Nice friendly people and a very nice bartender who gives good wine advice. Ordered a wonderful special bottle of Beaujoulais on her recommendation. The dishes are excellent. I'll be back again.

It was not the fault of the service, which is friendly, but we were somewhat disappointed with what we found on our plates. The starter tasted okay, but the portions were extremely meager. The mediocre main course was served lukewarm, not quite cold, just like the fries that had been sprinkled with far too much salt. We find it annoying to write a mediocre review, but we think that it is good for a starting company to know what the customer's experience is. We think you have the potential to improve it. * the link from your email that allowed us to post a review did not work. ** Unfortunately, I will not accept your request to send a personal email. Then I might get an offer to come and eat again for a small amount or even for free. But I don't like that, because I'm sitting there as that 'difficult customer'.

We hadden een avondje film + eten geboekt, waarbij we de Pot au feu uit de film van tevoren al konden proeven. Het voorgerecht vonden we allebei echt overheerlijk. De zeebaars en de biet waren beide echt om van te smullen. Hierdoor konden we niet wachten op het hoofdgerecht. Helaas viel dit voor ons beiden tegen. De Pot au feu viel zwaar tegen, zat erg weinig smaak aan. De rogvleugel was mooi zacht, maar liet qua smaak ook te wensen over. De pastinaak bij de rog was wel lekker. De toetjes waren allebei okay, maar konden ook niet op tegen het voorgerecht. Mooie wijntjes geproefd, zowel de weissburgunder als het dessertwijntje waren heerlijk. Ook bediening was super vriendelijk en nam de feedback over de hoofdgerechten meteen positief mee de keuken in.

Vanavond voor de 2e keer hier heerlijk gegeten. We hadden 3 gangen. Verrassende combinaties, gezellige sfeer, goede en vriendelijke bediening. En heel leuk te combineren met de bios!

Goeie sfeer, ook op doordeweekse dagen! Heel heel erg lekker eten en het personeel weet wel hoe dit moet. De voormalige Koepelgevangenis staat er tegenover en kun je gewoon bij naar binnen lopen. Aanrader!

Eten prima, locatie prima. Wat mij uitermate heeft gestoord is de stoelendans. Je krijgt twee uur de tijd om te eten. En na je driegangenmenu is koffie drinken niet meer mogelijk, geen tijd. Je wordt vriendelijk verzocht plaats te maken voor een ander. Als deze stoelendans toch moet, maak er dan drie uur van want sommige mensen eten nu eenmaal langzaam!

Goede bediening en een leuke sfeer. Het eten is goed en ik lees in een andere review iets over kleine porties... was bij ons totaal niet het geval. De frietjes waren inderdaad wat zout. Maar ach.. ik zou niet op alle slakken zout leggen.

In de voormalige koepel gevangenis van Haarlem is in een van de bijgebouwen een restaurant gehuisvest. Heel apart, leuke sfeer, lekkere kaart en vriendelijke bediening.

Wauw! De sfeer is goed. Het eten is waanzinnig lekker en goed. De bediening is zeer gastvrij en hebben onze avond echt gemaakt. Wij komen zeker terug en raden deze plek echt aan. Sowieso is de locatie de moeite waard.

You cannot say it is OK to this restaurant. I loved it since the moment we got in and how we are welcomed and till we left! The service from Iris en Marten en twan was great great and great! They were super nice, friendly, easy to approach and uber quick. Whenever you needed then they were just there for you. The food was great as well! Highly recommended ⭐️
