Brasserie van Beinum in Oude Stad

First, we enjoyed drinks on the heated, covered terrace. Then we had the choice of dining inside or outside. We ended up enjoying a lovely meal outside. The food was delicious. Great service and excellent value. Definitely worth a return visit.

Lively atmosphere for eating and drinking, very friendly and attentive staff. We had the "Carnivores Platter" for two, practically all meat – it was varied and really good.

We ate here yesterday. A friendly welcome and a great menu. Unfortunately, the steak was so incredibly tough I couldn't eat it. My complaint was ignored. We were just unlucky. Never experienced anything like it before. It's a shame, because the food was otherwise excellent. It would have been nice if they had accommodated us somehow. Now we were called liars. "I shouldn't have ordered medium rare." Apparently, those standard steaks are inedible...

We made a reservation for four people to dine here, but upon arrival, they clearly hadn't anticipated us. There was only one table left, by the outside door, near the kitchen, under a TV screen, uncovered. The other table would take at least another half hour. We didn't accept that and left. You'd expect a nice table when you make a reservation. The staff were polite and courteous, but they weren't very interested in the guests.

The urinal has a screen to advertise to you when you pee. As if there wasn’t enough advertising slop out there already. Good food and drinks though.

A wonderful place in Haarlem, with a building nearly 500 years old and named after the famous composer "Van Beinum." The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious.

Surprisingly good food. Great selection of small delicious dishes. We visited with two kids and they were happy as well 😄

We sat here for a birthday party. It was a great location with plenty of room for everyone to sit together. We were helped quickly and the service was excellent considering the reservation and the size of the group!

We had a drink here before the film/documentary started. On the patio, almost everything blows off the table when it's too windy. Even the potted plant!

The wait was way too long. There were three of us and we ordered snacks to share, and we waited an hour for them! It was good, but the service left something to be desired.

Bad experience here by asking 12 euros for half a liter of beer.. I'm used to quite a lot in terms of expensive beer on a terrace but this is just outrageous..

Lovely sunshine so thought we could get a drink and a small snack here. Ordered a bowl of bitterballen with the 2nd round. It took 40 minutes to arrive. When I asked for the 3rd time where the bitterballen were the waiter said they had only been on the bill for 15 minutes. Probably put on quickly the last time I asked. It can happen, but if you make a mistake it is a good thing you correct it quickly. 2 wines, 2 beers, 1 portion of bitterballen, 34.50.

Location is great, lots of people traffic to watch. Food was good, not great. kinda standard bar food fair, nothing 'wow' about it, so in that perspective it was a reliable pick. The beer was good, but it took a bit to get to us, and when it did, it had lost its 'foam' and appeared less for the money, not to mention lost a bit of flavor. Hence the ratings. Its a good choice for those 'where do you want to eat?' days with no clear answer.

Probably my favourite restaurant in the city. The atmosphere is great, with a large, well maintained terrace. The staff is very friendly, aware and willing to help with any doubts. But most importantly, food is delicious. It doesn't really matter how crowded it is, you will always get fresh and tasty food. I definitely recommend it!

The food-perfect. We ordered two vegetarian dishes, the poke bowl and the burger. Both very tasty, with tastes i havent experienced yet in my journey of being vegetarian. The food came in after maybe 15 minutes of vaiting, very quick. The staff spoke english kind off poorly, but well enough to understand what we wanted to order. The walls of the restaurat were dirty with oil and kind off scrapped, you can see they arent cleaned regularely. Toilets smelled of piss, but looked clean.

We were celebrating a birthday there, so our dining experience consisted of snacks. Those were fine

Great place! Delicious food several times. In addition, the staff is nice and down to earth, so you immediately feel at home. The building is also beautifully decorated around Christmas - a truly atmospheric experience. Would highly recommend!

Have a nice evening here! We had dinner upstairs and since last time the (good) music has been a lot quieter, creating a nice atmosphere and because the noise from downstairs also stayed there. Outside there is a large terrace with heaters, inside there is a pub downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. We had a steak and the carnivore platter, very tasty. The veggie curry was also very good! Pleasant service who paid close attention to us and came to our table at a pleasant pace. Timing! (Based on 1 recent visit inside and multiple visits previously)

Nice and tasty, we were here in the winter so we ate and drank inside, nice staff and tasty sandwiches for lunch.

We had a delicious lunch together. My love the Veggie Green Quesadillas and I the Naanta Spicy Chicken. All this in a cozy atmosphere with pleasant service. To top it all off, the Pandan Jasmin Crème Brulée…. That was really great!!

Try their chili cheese fries Iberico ribs was more than enough in quantity They have a coconut soup which was delicious They were very polite and helpful. They dont have an english menu but one of them described every items in the menu in patience for us

Very tasty dishes. Absolutely high quality prepared and served. The eye eats with you and that is visible here. Tastes very good, not cheap, but the high quality definitely justifies it. Plus, the portions are large. Service staff are consistently polite and personable. Clean guest room and also the sanitary facilities.

Very friendly welcome and delicious latte macchiato. I was one of the first customers around 1 p.m. and had to report something for work. After two lattes, I ordered nachos from the oven with minced meat on top. It was a cold mess of minced meat, very dirty. I downed it after two bites. It was charged and I made no further protest about it. But for such a beautiful place with potentially nice guests serving, I would have chosen to remove the nachos from the bill.

First of all, excellent service throughout. The food that we had - beefburger and hot dog - was very good. We sat outside with an excellent view of the cathedral as backdrop.

Very friendly and attentive service. They regularly asked if we wanted anything without being pushy. Food was fine, a bit spicy, but I was immediately given a carafe of water to cool down a bit. Cozy terrace, and price/quality ratio was very good.

Situated at a spot of Grotte Markt the Restaurant is hard to miss. Inviting ambience, spacious covered outdoor sitting invites onlookers easily. The menu caters international and Dutch speciality both. Avo egg sandwich is the hot selling and not to miss. Main dishes , soup options are great in portion making value for money. Not to forget the amazing cathedral view.

Mint Lime Sparkling Water, Coke, Octopus, Meatballs, Scrambled Egg Sandwich, Royal Cheeseburger, French Fries, and the corresponding sauces were all delicious and we had a wonderful afternoon.

Don't go there, I would say you will be treated rudely if you ask to order something to drink and sit at a table then you will be taken away because it has been reserved but if you call you cannot make a reservation ????and if you get angry You can leave immediately, what an aso behavior and really rude how you are spoken to, never again and not recommended to go 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Food is freaking delicious, starter they bring quite fast but main dish we had to wait quite long. But yea, if its perfect weather like the day when we went there, then we can wait a while for the dish. Service is okey, atmosphere 👌 good

Pleasant service and terrace but we do not recommend the burger, the chicken was not cooked, the bread was cold, and everything was sorely lacking in sauce. The fries were overcooked. The value for money is not good.

As a tourist, I looked for a place to eat near the church. It was quieter there than the surrounding terraces, but it's a shame that people don't go to this brasserie, because the food was really delicious. If I happen to return to Haarlem again, I will eat there again. Thank you,

We had dinner at this pub, enjoying burgers that were fantastic. The food was great, especially the chips, which were outstanding. We were really impressed. The bitterballen was also excellent, with a delightful flavor. I highly recommend this place.

Hier hebben we s middags even geluncht. Leuke tent met een goede, snelle bediening. Het eten was echt lekker. Leuke plek in hartje Haarlem.

Heel fijne mensen en vriendelijke bediening. Onze steak op dinsdag steakdag was overheerlijk. De kids genoten van een schotel voor 2 die ruim voldoende was voor hen.

10€ for a 0.5 liter beer is cheeky and what's more, it's not even served in a white glass from the brewery (Paulaner) but in a glass in which Pils is normally served and then the glass is from the wrong brewery. The portions are very small, you won't feel full there and the prices for the food are also relatively high.

Cozy atmosphere for a drink but also for a meal. We had burgers that were tasty so I can't say anything about the rest of the menu. Service was friendly, a boy and a girl. The lady spilled some tea and said sorry, but I didn't get a napkin or mop, which is an attention point. Otherwise seated well.

Urige Kneipe mit guter Lageund sehr schönen Blick. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und schnell. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das hauseigene van Beinum Bier und das Naanta Chicken...Auch die frischen Pommes sind sehr gut
