Kiosk Rembrandt Van Gogh in Museumkwartier

It’s really close to Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. I had flat white with Cinnamon Cloud. Waffle was how i liked it-crispy and soft. I’m not so sure about the topping cause it was a regular whipped cream and cinnamon.

Delicious coffee and very nice people working there. Those cinnamon apple cookies are way too tasty.. 😋 can't resist them…

I had the Cherry Bomb waffle with espresso. It was soooooo good! The bald man and blonde lady were so charming and friendly.

We snacked on tender barbecue and waffles, and it was very good.

I ordered a large cappuccino. My coffee was ready, and I reached for the lids that were placed right next to the pickup area. The woman at the register very rudely told me that I had to ask her first and that I was not allowed to take the lids myself. The lids were standing just behind the area where I collected my coffee. In virtually every coffee shop, customers simply take their own lids, which is completely normal. In the end, it turned out that there were no lids available for the large cups anyway. I find this behavior unacceptable. I had very positive expectations of Amsterdam and this neighborhood, but you do not have the right to scold a tourist in this manner. I hope the employee who was working at the register on Friday, June 5, 2026, around 12:30 PM receives appropriate feedback regarding her behavior. Other than this incident, the place seemed nice, and it would be a shame for its reputation to be damaged because of one rude employee. Update after business’s response: The business has replied that the lids were located in what they consider a staff-only area. My perception was that lids were right behind the area where I collected my coffee so I thought I could collect the lid myself as I can do in almost all in other coffee shops. A simple ‘Excuse me, those are actually for staff use. Let me get you a lid’ would have been perfectly sufficient. My issue was never being corrected. My issue was the rude and scolding manner in which I was addressed and put me into a very uncomfortable situation in the middle of my holiday. What makes this experience particularly disappointing is that business has chosen to stand behind this rude behavior rather than acknowledge how the situation was handled and how uncomfortable and unwelcome the interaction felt from a customer’s perspective. I stand by my 1-star review.

Update: May 2026: still THE place to go on Museumplein. The staff, the bold and inviting branding / colours, the premium food and drink. What's not to love? Go there - don't hesitate! Update November 2025: Nutella Banana-nana-nana!! I mean, what's not to love. Love this place, the food, drink and the people. Do yourself a massive favour and just pay them a visit (every day of the week and twice on Sunday!). You'll have zero regrets; Update September 2025: just gets better and better, in my humble opinion, and why I keep on coming back time after time. Tried a waffle for the 1st time today - the Nutella Banana one, see picture attached- and was well worth the wait. Extremely delicious! Like Nike says, 'just do it' and go here. You will not be disappointed! Update January 2025: still, by far, my favourite outdoor place to grab a coffee and snack here in 'Dam. Top food and snacks but it's the staff that make the place what it is. Just go. You won't regret it! UPDATE May '24: still - by far - my favourite place to come outside for koffie, cookie and chill. Great tasting products, calming location and AMAZING staff (who make it all happen, let's face it). OLD: This place - and the staff especially - are just utterly superb! I deliberately come by whenever I'm in the neighbourhood. Highly recommend you make a pit stop to see these guys and say hi (and eat and drink their great goods of course!)

A small cafe located in the museum district. They offer a few types of food, and the taste and price are decent. However, seating is somewhat limited. You might have trouble finding a seat when it's crowded.

Great little kiosk for food between the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum. Fairly priced and various options of beverages, savory, and sweet. We tried a hot dog, waffle, and a latte.

I visited Kiosk Rembrandt van Gogh and had the home made tuna sandwich in the morning before visiting the Van Gogh Museum. It tasted good at the time, but I unfortunately became unwell later that day. Within hours, I developed severe symptoms and spent the next two days dealing with vomiting and diarrhoea. While I can’t say with certainty what caused it, this was the only food I had that morning aside from their coffee. It was also the only item my wife did not have, and she remained well. I’m sharing this as part of my experience, as it may be helpful for others to be aware when choosing items such as the tuna sandwich.

As an American, I had one of the best lattes ever from this kiosk. Their staff is very nice and I was a big fan.

This little kiosk is right near the hotel we’re staying at and it turned out to be a great find. It’s a perfect spot for a quick breakfast and excellent value for money, especially considering local prices. It’s also right by the museums, so it’s ideal for popping in for a snack after sightseeing. The waffles and coffee really hit the spot.

If Van Gogh needed caffeine instead of ear bandages, this would’ve been his spot. Kiosk Van Gogh is a small but mighty stop with great coffee—the kind that makes you pause mid-sip and reconsider your life choices (mostly why you didn’t order a second cup). Fast service, friendly vibe, and perfectly located for a pre- or post-museum caffeine fix. It doesn’t pretend to be fancy; it just delivers solid, reliable coffee when you need it most. A quick stop, a strong brew, and zero existential crisis—well, maybe just a tiny artistic one.

Breakfast was much better than if we'd had it at the hotel. Very friendly waiters.

We just had two sandwiches at Kiosk Rembrandt Van Gogh in Amsterdam and they were absolutely amazing. 🥪✨ The homemade tuna sandwich and the ham and cheese one were both fantastic. Not only did they heat them up for us, they even removed the tomato and rocket beforehand so the bread wouldn’t get soggy. Such clear dedication, quality and attention to detail. The chai latte was delicious and the service was brilliant. ☕💛 We sat at the little tables in the sunshine and everything was perfect. If I could give them 10 stars, I would, but Google Maps won’t let me. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent waffles with generous toppings at a great value, which is rare and truly appreciated in such a touristy area. A real bargain, especially when you're with family!

A cool stand in a great location, with quite a large menu selection for a place like this. 😊 The service was very friendly and smiling, everything was efficient and with a positive attitude. The waffles were really great – crispy, fresh, with delicious chocolate, definitely some of the best I've had at a stand. 🧇🍫 The prices are average, but definitely adequate to the quality. The taste makes up for it, so if you're craving something sweet in the area, I recommend stopping by! 😊

Delicious Waffle in beautiful surroundings

Nestled in between the Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum is this wonderful shop to rest, get a drink, & some tasty snacks. This was honestly one of my favorite places that I visited in all of Amsterdam. What a cute little shop with fun decorations! My girlfriend and I are still dreaming of the waffle from here! The coffee was perfect as well. Service was also very friendly!!

Very good service, especially the best waffle I've ever had. The only annoying thing is the birds that hover over you while you eat.

I had a banana bread and a regular coffee. The banana bread was average and I expected it would be reheated (at least I expect they would ask if I want the banana bread to be reheated as I saw they have toaster). The coffee was average. There were pigeons everywhere. If you do not wish to sit near or be disturbed by pigeons, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Nice location of the cafe between 2 museums, the price is acceptable in relation to the location (small cappuccino €3.5, ham and cheese sandwich €6.5). The service is quite good.

I grabbed a latte on my walk through Amsterdam. It hit the spot. It’s a great place to stop by while wandering the city. I’ll have to grab some food next time!

These guys were the real MVPs of our holiday! Extremely friendly and quick to serve. The ice-cream cone one day was refreshing, the waffles with ice-cream the next day was UN-REAL!!!

The apple pie tastes disappointing and not as crispy as expected. But it tastes pretty good Cinnamon flavor is obvious I also ordered a sandwich and really liked the taste. A convenient stop located in between Van Hogh museum and Rijksmuseum. Foods and drinks are very yummy and the staffs are friendly. I will recommend to get the croissant, it was one of the fluffiest croissant I had.

It's a small stall, but the food is surprisingly delicious. Good location right in front of the museum It's along the river, so I sat on a nearby bench. I popped in and bought some Waffle and cocoa, and they were very delicious.

Nice place to sit between the van Gogh, MOCO and Rijk museums. Coffee was good, as were the sandwiches and granola bars we ordered. Some guests leave leftover food, which attracts pigeons. Prices of course adjusted to the location, but OK (sandwich €7, large cappuccino €5, moccacino €4.80).

One American man described the waffles are “transformational”. I had the homemade tuna sandwich and it was very good.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. As the name suggests, it is a kiosk, located on the street. It has a small terrace without any cover, which ends up becoming very cold. Apart from this point it is excellent!

The coffee is really nice and they have oat milk. They charge extra for take-away, but for the terrace they gave me the same take away cup. The working staff is nice.

Ottimo per una fantastica colazione, arrivateci non tardi, prima delle 10 per evitare che vi finiscano le delizie. Veloci e con prodotti molto buoni. C’è posto per sedersi sotto a degli ombrelloni, prima di entrare al museo é una tappa ottima.

Popular spot to grab a bite as it's situated between the two busiest museums in the city. Friendly staff who give service with a smile, and charming outdoor seating, add to its ambience. The hotdog really hit the spot, loved that it was in a crusty roll. Latte was fine. The waffles seemed to be a popular choice. One downside was the amount of pigeons and bees.

Museumplein içerisinde, tatlı bir atmosferi olan kafe. Biz sandviç ve kahve ile kahvaltı için tercih ettik. Porsiyon gayet büyüktü ve lezzetliydi. A cafe on the Museumplein with a nice atmosphere. We had sandwiches and coffee for breakfast. The portion was large and delicious.

A lovely sunny early afternoon so we stopped off here for a drink and a snack as it's in a lovely spot near the Rijksmuseum. Lots of tables and chairs so easy to get a seat, prompt service and a good choice of waffles, pastries, cookies etc. I had a very tasty slice of apple pie and it was a good place to relax and chat with friends before we left for home.

Don't underestimate a stall. The waffles here are fragrant, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are delicious!

This was the perfect little place to stop and have breakfast before my museum tours started. It was a little busy but the line moved swiftly and the staff was super friendly to everyone around! The waffle with cinnamon sugar was delicious and you can't go wrong with a cold orange juice on a warm summer morning!

You have to stop here and get some waffles with ice cream. I don't know what they put in these waffles but they're addicting. Seriously came halfway across Amsterdam for a chance to get one more fix of these waffles before I left. I ate mine too quickly to take a picture. Stole a picture I took of my son and his waffle. If you miss these waffles, you'll go home sad and wonder until you are back in Amsterdam what you are missing. Don't live life with that cloud of regret hanging over your head. Carpe diem!

Encontramos este agradable kiosko, que está sobre el corredor de museos, ideal para tomar una pausa y recargar energía. Tiene cosas típica desde café, galletas, hot dogs hasta sus famosos waffles. Los precios van desde los 3 hasta los 15 euros. Considerar que es un lugar para pedir y llevar pero hay un jardín de mesas Justo al frente muy cómodo. Recomendación: Sándwich capresse, waffles y cafe.

Ein guter Stand, um sich einen feinen Kaffe (sogar mit Hafermilch) zu gönnen. Im Verhältnis zum Rest von Amsterdam sah es hier sogar sauber aus.
