Always delicious Indonesian food at Klein Java. The best in Breda!

Well, not exactly fantastic. The satay meat wasn't crispy or tender, a bit tough, and the tempeh was very dry, and the noodles were the same. It used to be much better.

The food was truly delicious. Better than some expensive restaurants. The gentleman was super friendly, and the cendol was a real 10! Definitely recommended!

You can only pick up here, and you have to heat up the food at home, which I don't find a problem at all. All dishes are very tasty, and with delicious Indonesian herbs and ingredients, really tasty! And fortunately not overly sweet, salty or with a lot of vetsin (MSG) The basic meal rice with 2 vegetables and 2 meat is not expensive and you can complete it at home with atjar, sambal and kroepoek

Good food! But the way the gentleman fills the containers uber-thriftily is meager and cringe-worthy: adding very little vegetables and meat with small scoops and even scooping back... Better ask for 50 cents more. It's also better for customer loyalty.

Picked up a delicious Indonesian mini rice table for 2 people to warm up. Tasty and more than enough.

Had a nice surprise today. In the past we drove to Speelshuislaan to taste the pure flavors of Klein Java. After the terrible fire in the restaurant, the reopening was delayed. Today I discovered that Klein Java has indeed reopened... around the corner from us on Erasmusplein. We immediately went to get the great food: Bami, Nasi, sambal goreng teloor, Puntgave satay, Tumis Buncis, Babi kecap, babi pangang, Ayam Semor, sambal goreng Tahu, tumis Tempe, and so on. Great to have this kitchen around the corner. Welcome back Little Java!

Knowledge and passion for an authentic Indian meal! Even sateh kambing, although it is better to eat it on the spot instead of heating it up at home. Treat yourself to a menu from this chef.

Klein Java is by far the best Indonesian restaurant in Breda and the surrounding area. They were first located on Speelhuislaan in Breda and Klein Java was a household name there for many years. After a fatal fire in the previous building, they had to move. Fortunately, through crowdfunding, they were able to return again and now in this new place. The food tastes just as good as the previous place. Delicious! Go here and get food and be amazed at the good price-quality. For example, order a combination meal with nasi, rendang, gado gado, yellow chicken and some beans. You have the feeling that you are immediately on Java and walk into a traditional kitchen somewhere. Delicious! And take a bag of emping with it.

Went for the first time last night, bought a combination deal for €7.50 Lots of nasi in a bowl (too much in proportion) scant scoop of rendang and chicken. A few beans and 1 egg. After heating up, the whole was eaten but very dry and 2 pieces of rendang were tough. Taste was good. Presentation is also very boring, and half full dishes in the counter, why not neatly smaller than that. It's not inviting at all. Longtong was left uncovered in the refrigerator in a bowl. Also no question whether you would like prawn crackers or something else...? Additional sales...? Too bad because I had heard good stories.

Unfortunately temporarily closed due to fire, can't wait for them to open again. Top shop and very sweet, friendly people

Ik kom al sinds 1996 bij Klein Java, en elke keer is het weer super goed. Authentiek en smaakvol Indonesisch eten voor een zeer scherpe prijs. Je kunt het er niet eens zelf voor maken!

Voor het eerst eten afgehaald en was erg lekker! Zelf diverse gerechten uitgekozen en met acht personen heerlijk gegeten. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Alles incl. zelfs de kroepoek is gewoon net iets lekkerder en baal ervan dat ze niet in ons gedeelte van Breda thuis bezorgen.

Hier een rijsttafel voor 3 personen gehaald, porties waren goed en voldoende. Kwaliteit van het eten was goed, smaken verschillen, zo vonden wij de nootmuskaat in bepaalde gerechten echt overheersen. Toch zou ik voor de overige gerechten zeker terugkomen!

De beste Indonesische keuken van Breda. Heerlijke gerechten en altijd genoeg keuze. Rames maaltijd met keuze uit 2 vlees en 3 groente gerechten en een sate. Basis nasi, bami of mihoen. Aanrader!

Lekker eten. Prima prijs. Geen poeha. Nice.

We ordered the mini rice platter (which you have a variety of mini dishes, 4 veggies and 4 main protein served along with carb dishes, which of course, can also be multiple-choice, a 2 satay skewers). For protein, we selected stewed mackerel (I think they deep fried the fish before stew it in a sweet savoury soy-sauce based), roasted pork belly soaked in sauce, chicken, stewed beef (marinated with five-spice). For veggies we selected tofu stir-fried with chilli sauce (I think), then were also offered stir-fried grean beans in hot spicy sauce and stir-fried grean beans with eggs. Anyone who is sensitive to salt may keep in mind that the dishes are quite salty (at least for me, my Germany friend has no problem though). Take this as an example, normally for one slice (around 1 inch thick) of stewed mackerel like that I would need at least 1 big bowl of rice. The rice mini platter for 2 persons were actually a bit too much for 2 to finish (or it could be because of the saltiness level not suitable for me). All in all, the experience was quite pleasant thanks to the friendly staffs and cozy environment. Price is reasonable considered the central location (I think). Food is tasty, quite typical as Asian cuisine (in terms of spices, cooking style, sauces). No idea how authentic Indonesian food taste like so no comment about that.

Super, heerlijk eten veel keuze, als je keuzestress heb dan stelt de eigenaar zelf een gerecht voor je klaar.locatie aan de achterkant van het station. Helemaal goed.

Zaterdag weer eens gegeten met 4 personen. Was een oudere dame bij en die vroeg om extra groenten maar leek eerder 1 hapje. Ook de service was beneden maats. Moest elke keer de serveerster zoeken om drinken en dessert te bestellen. Al met al een schim is het nu wat het 10 j geleden was, echt een teleurstelling. Denk dat ze nu meer een afhaal restaurant is want daar lag meer de belangstelling van al het personeel. Jammer.

Combi maaltijd is de beste maaltijd van Nederland!

Lekker authentiek Indische gerechten.

Beetje jammer dat in een tijd waarin veel horeca failliet gaat, een zaak klaagt dat ze het zo druk hebben, dat ze niet bezorgen. Gemiste kans; pizza besteld.

Lekkere en verse maaltijden voor een kleine prijs . in juni hadden we heerlijke maaltijden, maar in augustus was het niet zo goed , dus wel wisselende kwaliteit

Lekker eten, supplementen zouden wat voordeliger mogen zijn. Eén extra vlees verdubbeld de prijs van de hele portie.

Prima eten voor een prima prijs. En nog leuk geholpen ook.

Altijd lekker, wel op tijd bij zijn voor de keuze.

Zo fijn dat je via de site kan bestellen zodat je het corona proof op kan halen. En het eten blijft natuurlijk heerlijk.

Tijdens het bestellen online was al het een en ander uitverkocht. Na even zoeken hadden we een lekkere bestelling bij elkaar. Een half uur voor de levering belde ze dat er nog 3 dingen die we hadden besteld, uitverkocht waren. We hebben goede alternatieven gekregen en zelfs een bakje vlees extra. Het is enorm veel wat je krijgt en de smaak is werkelijk geweldig. Net alsof je in Indonesië bent! Een echte aanrader!

Ik vond het een beetje een kleine zaak en op de menukaart die ze mij gaven stonden vrijwel alleen Javaanse(?) specialiteiten.

Superzaak.lieve mensen die er werken.heerlijk eten.

Eten is zeker niet slecht,ik haal meestal af ik heb nog nooit een man gezien die altijd boos kijkt en te beroerd is om goede middag te zeggen ik voel me geen klant daar.
