Sebas is a true worker, a true warrior. He understood me perfectly, especially late at night, knowing exactly what I needed in terms of drinks. That feeling, that timing, that craftsmanship… respect. Kopstootbar is in for a treat with Sebas behind the bar. Also, big props to the entire team; the energy, the atmosphere, and the teamwork complete the picture. Everyone works with passion, and you can feel it. Kopstootbar is simply next level! Thanks to the DJ too!!!

An inexperienced and disrespectful worker took my beer glass, washed it, and didn't ask me if I was done drinking it.

The prices on the maps aren't correct: €12 for pints, €12 for an espresso martini.

Wow! Stopped in for their 6€ Wednesday cocktail night, and was not disappointed! Both the p0rnstar martini and the espresso martini were incredible!! The service was great, the patio was beautiful in the evening, and the vibes were excellent. 9.8/10, would come again! (-.2 because the table was dirty outside. But I suspect that we snagged it right after the previous guests left, so they didn't get time to wipe it)

A quite not as usual suspect of place in the heart of Amsterdam, it's indeed very inviting and warm feeling.

Location good, bigger than it seems, nice DJ booth. Odin selects party with DJ Jay Latune among others made the audience dance and party. These dance parties are recommended. Furthermore, for the kopstootbar itself a few points of improvement to become a real success.

Nice but messy bar at Leidseplein. When we first ordered drinks it took them nearly half an hour to get them to us, they did make up by spontaneously offering us a drink on the house. The drinks are nice but a bit expensive. The name of the bar is based on a 'kopstoot' which is a beer and a Dutch jenever combo, sadly they do not serve it in the original manner which is a bit ironic. Still a nice bar but definitely some things to improve.

Generally nice Bar, good location, they have outside seating. Toilets could be better but overall a nice place!

7 euro cocktails every wednesday and a great party every weekend! Would recommend!

Unfriendly and unreasonable staff, ordered 2 drinks and we were inside for 5 minutes and we were told that we had to dance otherwise we were not the right audience, we only moved a little on command with the music but we were still very intimidating and threatening shown the door without further explanation. Disgusting, taking money and then throwing you out on the street, thanks for ruining our whole atmosphere that night. And the bouncer with the tail could also be a bit more female-friendly towards his customers. Had a disgusting evening, un-Amsterdam staff

best place in town, Imar is the coolest guy and best bartender. the atmosphere is incredible, recommended to everyone.

Staff are very unfriendly and turn the lights on and the music off half an hour before closing time.

At Friday and Saturday nights, inside is very crowded. Good that you can reserve a table online. A vibrant spot in town.

Very strange that we have to pay 5 euros to get a drink and then drink outside (which was not allowed, so we took advantage of guests' ignorance). It would have been nice if we were told that that was not possible. Good service!!! Not. Especially from that woman outside selling tickets. Toilets were dirty, skid marks and even vomit (?!?!?!?), inside you pay for a drink, you don't get it, they don't believe you have paid so you pay again just not to be helped after you have paid. Then got dead beers and weak Moscow mule. Yes bye.

I didn't notice much of the exceptional service you promise. The lady standing at the door today to sell tickets (long hair, blue bomber jacket, derogatory look) was very rude when I asked if I had to pay 5 euros to get in to get drinks for outside. Of course I pay for it, but as soon as I come outside I am stopped because glassware is not allowed outside after 11 PM. Perfectly logical, and a mistake on my part. I just don't quite understand why she makes me pay the 5 euro entrance ticket when she knew perfectly well that I wasn't coming in to stay inside on my own (!!!!). My friends also bought tickets because, hey, I paid for a drink and it would be a shame to throw it away, so I ask her why she let me in. I get a very nasty look in return after a mild altercation that I'm almost afraid she's going to punch me. I understand that it may be a long evening, but I don't think I should work in the catering industry. A 40-year-old woman against a 19-year-old girl. Doesn't it make any sense? The guard was very sympathetic and very understandable.

Cozy atmosphere but staff is busy. I can finally order my beer and I have paid and then the bartender immediately goes to another customer to give him a drink first. Then he simply forgets my order and thinks I haven't paid

Bartenders kept charging me different prices when I ordered the same drinks. They tried to charge me €14 for a grolsh and a cider so I called them out, they said it was an accident and reduced the charge by more than €5. Terrible to take advantage of people trying to have a good night

I was very reluctant about going to this place because of all of the reviews saying the bouncers etc are racist. Luckily I didn’t have that experience at all. The bouncer and all servers were nice and helped two African Americans with directions too! Hope things stay that way!

Once upon a time, I stumbled upon Kopstood Bar in Amsterdam and I couldn't resist checking it out. As soon as I walked in, the friendly staff and cool crowd welcomed me with open arms and a shot of Jajem (Jenever) which soon became a norm. As the night went on, the bar transformed into a club, and the memories started to flow (along with the drinks) up to a certain point. I danced the night away with fellow new friends, and I even managed to impress a cute Dutch DJ with my moves. But the real highlight of the night was when the bartender, who was also the resident comedian, Imar, started cracking jokes and making us all laugh uncontrollably. I don't think I've ever had so much fun at a bar before! So if you're looking for a fun night out in Amsterdam, head to Kopstood Bar. The staff is hilarious and the memories are priceless. Just make sure to bring your dancing shoes and a sense of humor!

Meest smerige café waar ik ooit ben geweest. Glazen worden amper tot niet gespoeld, alles plakt en de barvrouw keek alsof haar hond die middag was overleden.

I love this place! It's right in the heart of Leidseplein, so you can party it up with your friends (the music is so good, everytime), drink the most amazing cocktails or just dance like there's no tomorrow during club nights. Plus, the food is insanely good, and the whole vibe is just super cozy. About the staff- they're seriously the most friendly and welcoming people you'll ever meet! I 100% recommend checking this place out, you won't regret it.

Ik kom eigenlijk altijd naar deze tent omdat de dj’s hier altijd heerlijk draaien. Beveiligers kun je een leuk praatje mee maken en verder altijd een goede sfeer.

Absolute banger of a bar! Have the time of my life every-time i go. The music is great, the drinks are delicious and the bartenders are amazing, in particular two young men gur and barend. I always catch them working super hard and trying their absolute best. If you’re looking to go somewhere on the weekend this is the place to be. You will have a blast guaranteed!

Great bar and amazing vibes! There were 2 bartenders, who’s names are Gur and Barend, who were one of the nicest members of staff I have ever encountered. Later in the evening they start playing louder disco-music and it’s perfect to dance and grab drinks with friends or your partner. Would definitely recommend.

Kopstootbar has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. I celebrated my birthday here and I was very pleased by the support from the bar staff, always accommodating and helpful. A special feature is the bar and club concept. As the night wears on, it gradually transforms into a club with house/disco music, which makes both chilled evenings and party in one possible.

I was going for some air in the bar and I decided to chug the rest of my drink when the bouncer said I couldn’t bring it outside, this was somehow so offensive to her that she pushed me and got the glass out of my hands. When I wanted to get back inside a new bouncer, who wasn’t glass part blocked my entrance saying that I couldn’t enter because I was drinking outside. Besides making no sense I accepted, but I said I wanted to get my stuff inside, and that was when the first bouncer physically harassed me and kick me out to the street. I called the manager to complain and asked a guy who saw the whole thing to get me some water, I was denied the water and when the manager came she wouldn’t talk to me but just in Dutch with the bouncers.

Deze gezellige bar ligt op toplocatie om de hoek van het Leidseplein. Na een heerlijk etentje kun je blijven hangen voor een drankje en een dansje. Er heerst een opgewekte sfeer onder het personeel en er wordt leuke muziek gedraaid. Ook met een grotere groep mensen kun je terecht bij deze sfeervolle bar.

Na de overheerlijke pizza ben ik met mijn vriendinnen in de Kopstootbar blijven hangen. Dit vanwege de superleuke sfeer en gezellige bediening. Na het eten hebben we ook nog een heel leuk feestje meegepakt. Aanrader voor iedereen!
