We are used to something, but this is a very good vegetarian restaurant. Highly recommended if you like Indian cuisine.

Excellent authentic Indian vegetarian food and exceptional service (shout out to Jeevitha) who made us feel at home. Krishna Vilas definitely made our NL vacation even more special and memorable 💖

The food was super tasty! The paneer palak was great and the dosa also tasted very good. Nice service and food came quickly, we will definitely be back! It was nice that everything was vegetarian and the taste was very good

service is horrible here. I came on Sunday we understand it’s busy our order was too late. but again yesterday I went for the pick-up there were only one poor lady managing the entire crowd and the top of it payment machine weren’t working at all. I wonder where the hell is the owner did they at least bother about this issues? I would definitely not recommend others for this place even some food weren’t fresh at all mainly the paneer it’s fake ones, butter milk smells old, will the owner give this all to their child ? Total waste of money.

It’s is really good place with Tamil people and food is really good I recommend for everyone and who is missing the taste of Indian food must try here

It is very cold in the vegetarian restaurant, I kept my winter coat on. The vegetarian food was difficult to digest, but it tasted good. People are staring at each other very awkwardly. Paid parking spaces are difficult to find.

I order today 1 channa batura and 1 extra batura but i don’t can eat only 1 batura with channa because quantity is so less but money is 12 euro for 1 plate and if you want to eat 1 extra batura then it will be 5 euro so expensive but quantity so less. Waste money Thank you

Ik kom sinds de opening regelmatig naar dit restaurant. Sinds de laatste twee keren vind ik het echt achteruit gegaan voor wat betreft de hygiene en netheid van het restaurant zelf. De vloeren zijn heel vies en vettig, we gleden letterlijk bijna uit, de tafels en stoelen en ook menukaarten zelfde en het dames toilet is echt verschrikkelijk slordig en vies. Ik heb deze feedback ook gegeven aan degene die ons service verleende. Ze zou het terugkoppelen aan de manager. Ik vraag me dan ook af of de keuken nog hygienisch de gerechten bereid. Dit vind ik echt een achteruitgang. Hoop dat het vlug wordt opgeknapt weer. Er is een nieuwe manager en eigenaar vernam ik.

Nice veg restaurant with homely South Indian authenticity in the food. No access of spice or additives. It was a perfect meal after days of travelling and eating junk. South Indian thali is soul comforting, so is a plate of Idli Vada.

Really really bad experience with food yesterday. Ordered butter paneer and chana masala with couple of naan breads. Seemed like they just added water to the both the dishes. Chana masala is never in sauced, its supposed to be totally dry. Butter masala’s sauce was really runny like water which is supposed to be rich and thick of cashews. To top it all off both the dishes had no tastes to it, wasnt salty, wasnt spicy at all. Authentic Indian food is supposed to be spicy! Quantity for delivery items was was too less

Simple, Authentic and Amazing. We were a group of 20+ international people. Such hospitable team. Jeevita did a great job in ensuring the dinner experience goes smooth. Highly recommend if you want to taste something authentic from India! Well done!

It is not a fancy place however the food is fantastic. Hard to find good south Indian food in Den Haag therefore this place is worth checking out. Thali is a good choice

I went here to eat because the other Indian was closed. I ordered the dish that I regularly had at the other Indian, it contained idli, vada (Tiffin combo). This one was sooo spicy. I had to have yogurt with it because otherwise I would have had to leave my food alone. It tasted good but some of those sauces should not have been so spicy. It's a pity that you suddenly find yourself eating spicy food without your knowledge, they should mention it on the menu (and this dish wasn't supposed to be that spicy). The interior is not that cozy so we left quickly

KV denhaag has lost its touch of good quality food and service like before. I was very disappointed with the food quality and service was pathetic. KV- please relook at what's happening. I am a regular customer and seeing quality go down so bad is surprising.

Great place for authentic Mysorean food! Highly recommend this restaurant. This was my review earlier. The restaurant’s food quality has dropped quite a bit. Lassi is watery, taste has dropped a bit and personal requests (more spicy etc.) are not being considered. My review rating has therefore fallen.

One of my favourites. The food is delicious and there are plenty of options - its all veggie but you wont miss eating meat. Service can be a tad slow but understandable as they get busy

This week is my first week as an indian ex-pat of GB in the Hague, i encountered many nice indian restaurants, and this is one of them. I liked the Hakka veggie noodles very much, and the cheese dosa as well! My co-workers were also very enthousuastic about this venue.

There is only one thing I would like to say through this message to the manager and proprietor of the respected Krishna Vilas Restaurant I came to dine at your restaurant two days ago The best chicken in Indian cuisine 65 NON- Vegetarian An equivalent diet for vegetarians is Gobi 65 A dish that we love to eat but in your restaurant you put curd and dry chillies in it which is not right. And I'm here to discuss a few things that you may or may not know I can definitely say that the Indian Chinese fast food served at the restaurant like Gobi Manchurian Chilli Gobi Chilli Paneer is high in Ajina Moto aka Mono Sodium Gluten.I have a doctorate degree in psychology and also have a lot of experience in the field of chemistry and I can tell you that consuming this mono sodium gluten can cause a lot of problems in the body. C5H8NNaO4

Quality of food is OK but the quantity of chutney provided was very less. Also the management wants to charge for a glass of tap water which was shocking.

Delicious South Indian food at affordable prices

Ate last Thursday. I had to order 3 times because they kept forgetting. They didn't write it down. I waited 2 hours for my food. They did not look at the empty glasses, because they were hardly filled. Then I have been having stomach problems for 4 days, probably food poisoning. I don't often give reviews, but this was truly terrible. Warning to others.

The food was very tasty and authentic, and I should say this is now one of my favorite spots for Indian food. The Chole bhature is a must try for whoever visits!

Taste wise one of the best Indian taste in Netherland. Sambar was authentic with coriander leaves and slightly sweet. Dosa had the best taste possible in these conditions. I ordered the tiffin combo and was very satisfied. Place was crowded on a week day evening.. mango lassi was ok. Overall a good tasty experience

The dosas are wonderful. Best gajar Ka halwa (still craving it). Took another dish with Puri and expected it to have different sides but it came with the exact same sides of the dosa so that was a little disappointing.

Very authentic dosas and excellent desserts. Unpretentious furniture and decor but the food was great throughout. The owner was a gentleman who made sure we were happy throughout, how could you not love such a place? 10/10

I went here with my family in juli’24 and we had a very fruitfull 5 strat experiance! What a service and superiour food-quality! If you are a visitor of the hague as a tourist like we are, visit this place! You won’t regret it!

Visited this restaurant many times, but recently the food quality and taste has deteriorated. The chole bature weren’t too bad (not very good either) but the masala in the masala dosa was bland and had no texture . The sambhar was thick and sweet (which was odd), the coconut/mint/tomato chutneys were tasteless. The chai and mango lassi were fine. Our overall experience was very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it to Indian food lovers.

The food here is delicious. The flavor explosions are unprecedented. In addition, everything is vegetarian. I come here often and am very satisfied with the quality of the food over the years.

Food taste is below average at best. Service is great. Prices are OK as well. Saravana bhawan in amsterdam is waaaaay better. We had to stop on our way and it was a disappointment

We four visited Krishna Vilas for authentic south Indian food and filter coffee. Most satisfying. It is a restaurant with clean washrooms and Excellent service.

I find the food is too way pricey for vegetarian dish....€ 16 for vegetable curry with pathetic amount of rice n curry , without any raita or additional stuff is cutting people's throat ...ridiculously priced n how u expect people to eat that pathetic with plain rice...i guess jail food is better. N its €16??!! do u guys hv no conscience how much profit u r taking from ur customers n yet provide so little. I will not visit this kind of restaurants again...I rather my sandwich at home

It was a spontaneous decision to eat here. We were extremely positively surprised. The food was super tasty and, above all, value for money. The employees were very nice and accommodating. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Good Sud Indian food in and friendly cafe/restaurant

Below average food. Mini idlis were almost inedible, so hard. Masala dosa had barely any flavour. Kudos to the young lady serving our table. She was kind and efficient even when we broke a glass by accident.

If you are looking for authentic south indian food, you will definitely be disappointed. The chutney and the sambhar was worst not to mention rice which seemed like it was cooked with baking soda. The quality of idli and dosa was a little better but rest everything was not at all good.

The typical KV experience...the South Indian thali was so yummmmm.... however the North Indian thali was average.. In any case this restaurant specialises in South Indian fare... So pretty understandable. Hygienic and good service

The quality of the food has decreased considerably over the years. The place doesn’t have the same ambience and moreover, the number of staff is quite low for the size of the place. I was waiting for 20 minutes for the menu and had to go find someone for a menu in the end. Overall disappointing experience. Such a pity as it used to be one of the nicest south indian restaurants in the Netherlands.

Vada dip in sambar was really good. Loved the coffee☕️. Mysore masala dosa was decent. Idli could have been better too. But the service and staff were great !!!

Nice vegetarian restaurant with interesting Indian dishes full of flavour! We tried Rava dosa, mango lassi, garlic naan and the seasoned grilled cauliflower. Everything was very tasty. The atmosphere of the place could be nicer and the service could be more attentive.

I don't understand the good reviews. We have always had a good meal here before. The quality has deteriorated dramatically over the last few times. I thought let's try it again. Went last Saturday. After six months, nothing has changed. Food is definitely not fresh. The vegetable pakora was very hard. Seemed like it was fried in advance and when it is ordered they fry it again. This was also the case last time. The onion bhajji is literally raw on the inside. A raw slice of onion with a soft dough around it. Definitely not recommended. The tiffin combo was also not good. The sauces were incredibly bland, not spicy at all and were not fresh. The idli was also chewy. The staff always looks so disinterested. We definitely won't be coming back here again. Too bad because we have eaten well in the past.

The food is truly authentic. Highly recommend the South Indian dishes. Their sambar and chutneys are so delicious, yum! On top of that, the price seemed reasonable for 5-6 items that we ordered. Don’t think twice, go for it 😍

Very good, nice fresh clean place! This is the place for lovers of REAL Indian food. Both the starters are delicious and the Biryani are perfect.

As always, the food was very tasty and wonderfully fresh. Starter was pakoda. Hearty portion as a starter but very tasty. Main course North Indian Thali. My partner chose the Masala Dosa, so simple but highly recommended. Really enjoyed it again with that great nasi. The environment is a bit dull, but the food is really great. There is a major downside: paying with cash is NOT possible.

We experienced very traditional flavors in this restaurant. I should know because I often eat Indian in Belgium. Sometimes we come especially to this fresh new restaurant for an unforgettable experience! Highly recommended! Food left much to be desired. Never been served Mint chutney as coriander chutney for a Dosa, mashed potato as masala for Puri.

They charge €2 euro for TAP water !! There can’t be any excuse to justify charging for tap water..

Been there more than twice which means food is good. Be prepared to have your clothes smelling very strongly of the many fried dishes though. Still worth the visit.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. I ordered the Manchurian Gobi (cauliflower) and devoured it way too quickly to take a photo. I also love the South Indian Thali. Every dish was the perfect bite: subtly spiced, layers of flavor and texture. The waitstaff is friendly and the owner (I think) came over to tell me about the different dishes when I was clearly curious and asking the (very patient) waitress. To top it off, the prices are extremely reasonable. This unassuming small restaurant is an absolute GEM. I'll be back!

Third review. Rating the restaurant again very good based on our recent two visits. **Of course the below review from our previous take away experience still has a bad memory. I hope they never do it again. good options for both South and north indian dishes. Starters option is also good. south indian taste though... if you prefer a tamil taste like me, I would suggest Saravana bhavan. my wife prefers karnataka type taste and likes krishna vilas. kids enjoyed mini idli and ghee roast a lot.

De locatie is uitmuntend aan het water. Het is een nieuwe stijl indiaas eten; qua creaties maar waar de traditionele receptuur gebleven is. Dat maakt het geheel perfect aansluitend. Een nieuw fris restaurant dat zich zeker onderscheid van andere restaurants. Als u hier in de buurt bent zou ik hier zeker langs gaan. Het is achter Hotel Des Indes, aan de gracht met zich op het water richting de Mauritskade.
