Kwalitaria Balijelaan - Utrecht in Wijk 08 Zuidwest

Accidentally ordered from the wrong Kwalitaria, but this was resolved very neatly.

I tried ordering online, but it didn't work. So I went to Balijelaan to check it out. The place was closed, with no sign on the door. The owner didn't last long. Too bad, we were satisfied with the quality. The only thing was, you got a bamischijf (a noodle dish) if you ordered nasibal 😁. It's annoying that the Kwalitaria website never mentions that a location no longer exists.

A strange snack bar that hasn't sold milkshakes for months and doesn't even have basics like cheese sticks in its selection. The franchisee doesn't know the neighborhood or its neighbors, which is a shame. 1987 is a long time ago, and now there's a real need for vegetarian snacks, fast service, and a wide selection. Too bad.

We waited 25 minutes for the burgers, while the restaurant was empty

The four of us ordered the crispy burger menu (€13.50), and the delivery driver arrived with just the burgers. When we called, they said, "Yes, someone was on their way with the fries. What are these?" They delivered in two installments.

Half of what we wanted to order was gone. The staff looked very bored, and there was absolutely no service. When we got home, there was no curry on the frikandel speciaal (probably ran out too...) and the burger was completely burnt black... and you pay a hefty price for that.

Done take out here several times but something always goes wrong. Today I got a shoarma dish that was mushed together and missing the advertised salad. When I called they said “that’s just how we make it”. I also got a kroket which was soggy, as if taken out of the oil too soon and then put back in. I just don’t want to order here again, because each time it’s a bit disappointing.

Ate here last week. Excellent food. Good and fast service. Definitely worth a review.

1 star is actually too much. Everything is gone, that is until then. But to find out for yourself as you walk away is a bit crazy. Curry was gone. So frikandel special was mayo with onion. And the container of special sauce I had was mayo. When I went back I asked how the frikandel special was made, the gentleman told me it was made with curry. When I asked how that was possible since the curry had run out, he told me that he had only used mayo and onion. Half the food was cold, no interest at all in solving your problem. Still trying to cover it up with lies. The bull burger was only a burger with sauce, as we found out at home. The bacon and onion must also have been used up. If you try to call them you won't get an answer. Nice thing🙃 Shouldn't it get crazier, twist the matter? How do you come to believe that you have offered a solution? You didn't answer the phone. In the case itself, I didn't find out that everything was cold and incomplete from the citizen, etc., did I? Only the curry. I do wonder if someone supposedly offers to remake something, how you do that if your business doesn't have a product in-house.

Ordered and never received my food.

The experience at this cafeteria was unfortunately disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly, which immediately gave a bad impression. The food was of mediocre quality; the fries were limp and tasteless, and the snacks seemed old and not freshly prepared. In addition, hygiene was far from optimal, with sticky tables and a messy environment. I had hoped for a simple, tasty meal, but left with an unpleasant aftertaste. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

If I could have given negative points I would have done so. What an incredibly bad thing. You don't expect a culinary tour de force from a cafeteria, but if the food is cold, incomplete and soggy, this is very sad. The fact that your problems are not taken into account (which was their doing, up to 5 times) is crazy, everything is gone, the order is wrong up to 3 times, we have to call them 5 times and of course they are , not reachable. When I read the other reviews I am not the only one with this experience. There will probably be a response with some lame excuse. Everyone, be warned and go see Cleyne Reijck or Miss Shu!

Large order delivered within 20 minutes. Friendly young people.

Placed a large order for 15 people. Ordered in the morning. Would be delivered between 1640 and 1650. Called at 5:05 PM to find out where it was, further emphasizing the delivery instructions. Food arrived at 5:35 and was cold. Never again!! It remains that the order was not delivered at the specified time (before closing office hours). We have not received a call that the time would not be feasible given the opening hours of the snack bar. Number was correct, perhaps written down incorrectly? And it looks like I'm not the only one complaining about delivery and quality.

It's really a shame, this Kwalitaria recently switched to very normal, average fries. I used to like coming here because the chain guarantees the top quality of the fries for me: slightly thicker cut than normal, super creamy and fluffy on the inside, but golden yellow and deliciously crispy. Inquiries with customer service revealed that franchise locations are allowed to make their own purchases. These new fries are said to be tastier and hold up better when delivered. A real shame, because now it is an ordinary snack bar, but with prices that are on the high side. Another minus: the portion size is very inconsistent. When ordering 2 portions, sometimes we have just enough for the two of us, other times we are left with half a bag. Please Kwalitaria, bring back the old fries, enter a standard portion size, and I will immediately give this 5 stars.

One star is already too many. I will never order from here again

Unfortunately not a fan, we first received the wrong delivery. After calling several times (always no answer), I received the correct one, but it turned out that part of it was missing. This was subsequently resolved, but we noticed that everything had been fried too briefly, for example the fries were really not done yet. Unfortunately!

Grab a snack with some friends. First of all you are shocked by the prices, but good, tasty food may cost a bit. Then, after you have paid, they tell you that they do not have certain products in stock, and they come up with a cheaper alternative. Finally, after more than 45 minutes of waiting, we received the food, but in bizarrely small portions and the quality was really not at all what you would expect with such prices (cold). Staff are also standing behind the cash register here with their coats on. The toilet is also very rancid (see photo). Highly recommended

Milkshake price on the board on the wall in the snack bar €3.25 at the cash register €4.25. Small fries on the plate on the wall without sauce €3.2, sauce turned out to be €1.25 extra charged at the cash register to be...all in all 1 special fries and a medium milkshake €8.50! Ridiculous, nowhere as expensive as here. Continue to play loud music. Disinterested attitude from staff. Horrible.

This place is a scam! A menu which is more expensive than the single items... real conmen! And the food is not even good!

Ordered at the location itself and had to wait more than half an hour until my order was ready. And while there are 5 people present. No sorry, no excuses, just one grumpy face. The last time I've been here. And when we got home the order was still incomplete...

Delivery posted. Called 8 times to report a minor change. No answer. Then we received the delivery with 3 burgers missing... called again several times and no answer. Amateus… In the response below they indicate that they called (completely untrue) and that the address was incorrect. How can it be that the delivery person just came to the door....

Last night, fifteen minutes before closing time at 9.45 pm, I placed a large order for 8 people worth +/- €130 (which took some time and effort). After 10 minutes they cancel the order... Then you don't have to write down a closing time but an "I-will-prepare-when-I-feel-like-time". The previous order was also a disaster, because they forgot half of it and no one answered the phone. Then you dare to call the organization KWALItaria... KwalitariNEE seems to me to be a suitable name for these charlatans. We will never order from here again.

The food is what you would expect from a snack bar. However, the marketing and trendy presentation cannot justify the fact that a fries costs more than 5 Euro. Don't make the mistake of consuming on site: it is reminiscent of a youth club where teenagers in tracksuits hang around in a rowdy manner (ah! Those are definitely the delivery people!). Table not clean and toilet without soap. Well before closing time (8:40 PM) the door opens wide (temperature outside well below zero) and all cargo bikes are wheeled in. Get out of here !

Tasty fries and plenty of choice for vegetarians

Food is really bad for a snack bar. Friendly staff and neat interior. Unfortunately, that won't make your fries taste any better.

Called 15 minutes in advance for a pick-up order. If you come by to pick it up, they have just started🤣🤣. So many girls behind the counter to talk and gossip, for sure. Very unprofessional cafeteria. Definitely never seen me again. Aju!!

A lot has been going wrong lately. My last two orders were incorrect. Shame. Was always very good.

Ordered food, waited half an hour. After 2 hours received a message that the food had been delivered. Never saw the food, tried to call several times but no answer every time.

Bad and unfriendly staff. The snack bar makes up its own opening hours and closes when they want. Even if you are waiting inside to order, you will simply be sent away.

The place looked neat and tidy, and so did the people behind the cash register.

The food is excellent in taste and quality. But at a snack bar I am used to not being too sparse with portions. Very little sauce on the frikandel special. And you can't even get a portion of fries for 2 people at any snack bar run by Henk and Ingrid, but you can safely order them here on your own. Probably has to do with the fact that it is a franchise and they have to cut costs to keep some profit/maximize profit or because of the formula of the franchise, but it is very disappointing. For me it will be the last time at Kwalitaria and next time I will just go to the old familiar neighborhood snack bar!

Worthless company and worthless owner who thinks he doesn't have to solve problems Response. I also didn't ask to use 2 actions. A 6 euro discount on an order of 50 euros is not 20% and it certainly doesn't come close to a 4x burger deal of 4x 7.95 for which we paid 13.95. Hope you are a little proud of your snack bar, which is doing very poorly in the reviews after a few months. Because there are many who are unhappy, so you're not doing it right. Ordered today for the first time from Kwalitaria Balijelaan. Normally eat at Leidscherijn. Used to always getting good and quality food. Order now at our own address. But a big downer. Fries seemed to have been thrown back very hard and greasy. Not tasty at all. The worst were the bami slices, which were simply undercooked, fat dripped out and fell apart in misery. The special frikadel had done a dance in the bag during the ride with the delivery person. Sauce was everywhere except in and on the frikadel. The frikadellen were not tasty, even the ones without sauce. Delivery was not too long 40 minutes. Food arrived nice and warm. Unfortunately not worth repeating for us. Of course I called the snack bar and they said they wanted to send new ones, which in itself meant waiting 40 minutes for 2 bami disks, while the fries weren't tasty either.... And the kids couldn't wait that long, so they made a sandwich. Shame! With a stomach ache from too greasy a date with the smallest room for the minimal intake of what we tried to eat anyway. Unfortunately! We tried it. A waste of almost 35 euros Answer to Qualitaria: Not everything in this post is described negatively. The feedback about the delivery and that the food was hot was positive feedback. If the quality cannot be guaranteed, the home delivery options must be turned off, as this is possible with home delivery. In short, take the feedback and do something with it. It was certainly not quality this time and we have ordered from a quality store before. It was nice that new bami discs could be brought, but with children another 40 minute wait was not our choice and the fries were also rock hard. The frikadellen was not to our taste (there is no arguing about taste). So we couldn't get there with just 2 bami slices. Tip: don't just look at the baking time on your fryer, but look at the products you fry before you put them in a container. We immediately placed this order between 4:00 PM and 4:15 PM when it opened, it arrived within 35 minutes, which is more than fine. We had nothing to complain about that either. Take your feedback, do something with it and move on to business as usual. Too bad it's busy and staff is scarce, but... Quality comes before 1000 orders. Nice day! We thought we'd give it another try. Delivery was fast... But again very disappointing... Bittergarnituur fell apart due to misery. See attached picture. Greasy and not tasty. The garlic sauce was also disgusting. They sometimes say a donkey..... Well this donkey certainly a 2nd time unfortunately! Shame!

Delivery took a very long time. Also received wrong items. After contacting them, they indicated twice that they would deliver it, but in the end they never did. The third time we called (after 2 hours) they said that we had to arrange it via Ubereats and that they didn't know anything, so tell us right away?! Very rude way of communicating...

Ordered via Uber Eats. Wrong order, called 3 times, they told us 3 times that they would come, but they never came. Called a 4th time, they said we had to arrange it through Uber Eats and that we shouldn't be so rude... wouldn't order here!!

Super antisocial bad service. Ordered and paid online and it took so long, so I called and yes, the lady is concerned. I live in a terraced house and the curtains were left open on purpose for delivery. No one has been there. Then the brat on the phone says oh the delivery man is coming. I literally call back a minute later, the phone is no longer answered. I drove there, case closed in the meantime. So it's a waste of money because I don't have it yet! Shameful how you deal with this. Just calling back politely, canceling it and giving me my money back doesn't seem like too much to ask! Feel free to send me a PM and I can send a message or I'll just come and pick it up!

Be careful with the delivery people of this snack bar. One of them used our elevator as a toilet. Snack bar inaccessible.

Took a very long time. Wrong order was delivered so 1 person had to wait even longer and had to eat alone.

The prices are high, but the range is large, tasty and the staff friendly. I really like the burgers, although the quality could be a little more consistent. Everything is packed in cardboard, which is also nice. I feel like eating some bear claw mud as I type this.

Normally a good experience, but this time we received an incomplete burger and everything was cold. When I called I was not believed and was turned away with “free fries without sauce with the next order” which I think is poor compensation. Quality was also worse than normal, burger was tough and bread felt like it was from yesterday. Hopefully better quality next time

Ordered 2 family bags of fries here today. Upon arrival it was 1 bag. Spent 10 euros for a minimal bag of fries. Tried calling but couldn't reach anyone.

The first few times I had delicious fries and burgers, but now a completely undercooked order (actually inedible) and for the second time part was not received (and therefore paid for). Going backwards fast!

Was very disappointing last weekend. Tasteless carpaccio salad with limp meat and ugly/old lettuce that looked like it had been in the fridge for a week waiting to be ordered. We found the fries dry and tasteless. The snacks were good. I would give 2.5 🌟, unfortunately not anymore.

Pleasantly surprised that the Kwalitaria on Balijelaan has opened its doors. Unfortunately it was not the experience we had hoped for. Small bowls of cold fries, even though we live less than 500 meters away. It must have been busy. This was also reflected in the frikandel special: sloppily cut and with a whole onion on top. The rendang croquette and bami disc were very good. Kwalitaria Balijelaan has potential, but they are not there yet.
