Kyatcha Rotterdam in Rotterdam Centrum

Bij Kyatcha kan het niet mis, wij komen er al jaren en zijn nog nooit teleurgesteld weggegaan. Sushi hebben wij nergens lekkerder gegeten en we eten ontzettend veel Sushi! de locatie is perfect net naast de brug met een heerlijke intieme romantische sfeer wisselend menu wlke je blijft doen verassen en vraag ook eens naar een cocktail buiten het menu!

Heel harde muziek, wat bij de 'sfeer' hoort. De bediening kan het niet uitzetten. Gelukkig nog net op tijd gewaarschuwd door vrienden. Die een 'vreselijke avond'hadden gehad, "zielig voor de gastvrouw". Ze kon haar overbuurman aan tafel niet verstaan.

Encantador ambiente y precio, pero buena comida. Pide una mesa en la ventana del puerto. Deliciosa selección de sushi y otros platos japoneses, asegúrese de probar el inusual sushi de ternera / trufa.

Otroligt god mat men lite dyrt. Åt iberico ham och toro både var fantastiska! Bästa jag hsft på länge! Jag rekommenderar starkt att komma hit!

Mooi restaurant, hip.. Maar werden langs de keuken onder een keiharde muziekbox geplaatst. Verder geen plek dus tja jammer. Wij zijn liefhebbers en veel gewend op het gebied van uiteten, en ik moet zeggen het was lekker maar zwaar overprijsd. Wagyu besteld, en was denk ik 70 gram op een koud kolenbakje. 67 euro!! 2 nigri met wagyu en vonden we een aanfluiting en dat voor 15 euro voor 2 ministukjes.. Edameboontjes waren erg lekker, en de zeewiersalade was erg lekker van smaak. Kipballetjes helaas erg taai. Wat stukjes sushi en dat was het, dat is dan 250 euro. ( 550 gulden) Personeel was erg vriendelijk en netjes, draaide zelfs om met het invoeren van de pincode. Leuk maar voor ons de laatste keer helaas. Mvg

Vriendelijke bediening , lekkere smaken ... maar sharing principe en als je geen sushi neemt hadden wij alleszins heel kleine porties, drie mini dumplings wagyu, 4 stukjes bloemkool,4 kleine asperges en klein stukje zalm , dus 4 gerechtjes zoals aangeraden , totaal 130 euro en wel nog honger bij thuiskomst , dus de porties mogen anders voor de prijs

We hebben sushi afgehaald en op de afgesproken tijd stond het klaar. Vriendelijk geholpen en de kwaliteit van het eten was TOP! Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Prima en lekker eten, echter bij ontvangst kregen we gelijk te horen wat de eindtijd was van onze reservering niet heel klantvriendelijk. De prijs van een glas pinot gricio € 9,50 is wel heel erg duur. Verder bij ontvangst van onze rekening zagen we dat ze niet onze vooraf betaalde reservering kosten van € 50,— in mindering hadden gebracht dit voelde ook niet goed erg slordig . Weet tot slot als je met de auto komt dat je € 6,18 per uur ook nog aan parkeerkosten moet betalen. Resumé prima eten en bediening was prima maar wel prijzige avond in zijn totaliteit.

Prachtig restaurant op een sfeervolle locatie. Het eten is werkelijk heerlijk, van uitstekende kwaliteit, en de presentatie van de gerechten is prachtig. Het is wel wat aan de prijzige kant, wat het restaurant in een hogere klasse plaatst. Daar is op zich niets mis mee, maar wat ik echt niet passend vind voor een restaurant van dit segment, is het werken met tijdsvakken. Wanneer ik uit eten ga, doe ik dat om rustig te genieten van het eten en de sfeer, en niet om binnen twee uur mijn maaltijd naar binnen te werken. Dit is voor mij de enige reden waarom ik hier niet snel terug zou komen, aangezien ik ook andere restaurants ken die net zo goed zijn, maar zonder deze tijdslimiet.

Hebben ook nog verstand van wat ze je reserveren Eten is pure kunst en heel lekker Sfeer ook goed, heel rustgevend. Eindelijk een zaak waar ze het wel begrijpen. Wel aan de dure kant maar daar krijg je ook veel voor

Heerlijk gegeten! Echt een aanrader. Heel vriendelijk personeel, het eten was echt een genot voor je smaakpapillen en de inrichting was ook top. Ik kom hier zeker terug!

Go there for the sushi and the sashimi, everything from the ‘cooked’ food section is, in my opinion, mediocre and not worth it.

The relaxed music of last year has been exchanged for hard African house that makes you shout at each other. Upon entering we were placed in a dark corner next to the kitchen, which did not have a luxurious appearance at all, but rather a kind of All you can eat experience. Then they forgot to offer the edamame, indicated twice that we were missing 1 scallop for which we waited 20 minutes (this was not compensated with the time we were allowed to stay). The dishes were also not explained when placed. A glass of coffee beans with stars on the table to celebrate an anniversary... Wouldn't you really have liked to put in a little more effort? The total luxury experience of last year is now completely abolished. Very unfortunate, we also made this clear to the waitress and waiter who spoke to us and they indicated that they agreed with us.

We found the loud music very disturbing, which was played during our dinner, and it really made us nervous and extremely annoying. Unfortunately, I don't eat there anymore because of this

Food is good but not special, I think the sushi is really overpriced. I have eaten at several sushi restaurants and the taste of the sushi was tasty but not great, which is what you expect when you see the price. The sushi is nicely prepared, but the portions are also smaller than average. The music was also very loud so you could barely hear the service or the company. There are better sushi restaurants in Rotterdam that are also cheaper.

The food was amazing! I recommend the sashimi assortment with a range of high quality fish and also the sushi, especially flamed salmon roll was delicious. They have good signature cocktails, the Lychee on the Clouds is my favorite. The restaurant also has a nice location with a great view near the Erasmusbrug. Also the staff was friendly and helpful. Will come back soon!

Went to Kyatcha for dinner last night. Mocktails were not tasty, sushi was mediocre, the only thing we liked was the chicken balls, a drink was spilled on my jacket and when I got home I got the stomach flu and became very ill because of kyatcha, absolutely not worth repeating for us.

Variety and quality of the dishes is very good. Ambiance and atmosphere are top notch. Beautiful view of the Erasmus Bridge on the top floor

Top service, neat, fast, lovely staff and service compliments

We had made a reservation at Kyatcha restaurant at 5:00 PM, but we were 45 minutes late. We had reported this in advance, and fortunately this was not a problem. The staff even made sure that we were served quickly despite the delay so that we could leave on time for our performance. The food was delicious, and the recommended wine paired perfectly with the dishes. The service was excellent, and we would like to give big compliments to the staff for their friendliness and professionalism. Everything was arranged perfectly. Thank you!

Ontvangst door een nuffig hooghartig dametje met headset, onvriendelijke benadering. (Mijn piepkleine invalidenwagentje wekte haar ergernis ipv behulpzaamheid) Vreselijke harde muziek, totaal niet in de sfeer van een Japans restaurant. Bij navraag bij de overig zeer vriendelijke serveerster beneden bleek dit bij "het concept" te horen. Het moeten hier wel nepjapanners zijn dacht ik en besloot elders te gaan dineren. Helaas heb ik over de gerechten, waar ik hoge verwachtingen van had, geen oordeel

The food was particularly good and refined but also very expensive. If you pay 17 euros for gyozas and the two of you are eating, I would never put down 3, but 4, so that you don't have to share. The price does leave room for this. Finally, €9.50 for a bottle of sparkling water is really excessive... Overall, a 4 (can't give 4.5) because of the price/quality ratio.

Para un sushi auténtico y recién hecho, este es el restaurante al que ir. Nada de eso - usted - puede - comer cosas, pero los sabores completos y ricos que el sushi está destinado a tener. La única desventaja fue el alto precio de los platos, que, en mi opinión, es bastante alto para el Rotterdammer promedio. En general, sin embargo, la ubicación es perfecta para una noche romántica de primera categoría!

Nice location, good service and delicious food.

Disfrutamos de una cena encantadora aquí con nuestra hija. La comida era deliciosa y el servicio de primera clase. Ambiente muy agradable, en un entorno hermoso junto al agua. A nuestra hija le encanta el aguacate maki, que pedimos a pesar de que no están en el menú, así que vale la pena una conversación con el servidor si te apetece algo que no está en el menú.

Wow. Rarely have we experienced this, and we like serious restaurants. The service is of the highest level. Not stiff, but polite. Fast and observant, very friendly and warm. And then the food. Really of a completely different quality. Probably the best that the Netherlands currently has to offer in the Japanese field. We were big fans of Sushi Samba in Amsterdam, which is unfortunately gone. This is at least as good. Subtle dishes, very playful combinations and truly a feast for the eyes and the mouth. We'll be back. Often. And of course it costs a lot of money. A lot of money even. But it is not expensive. Pure quality.

We were there for the birthday of my husband. While booking a table, they ask you if you come there for a special occasion and I was really happy to notice that they really do something for the occasion! Beside that, the food was amazing! The servers are really friendly and helpfull. We just asked to bring Us Some reccomandations because we couldn’t choose out of all the amazing dishes. If you’re looking for the perfect sharing concept, this is a place to be! Btw, the view is amazing too!

We had a fantastic evening at Kyatcha. The dishes were excellent, and the sushi was fresh and delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and cozy, perfect for a night out. I highly recommend Kyatcha and will definitely be coming back!

We were celebrating there and the place was perfect! First of all the atmosphere and interior were really beautiful. You had a feeling of being in a cool place. The employees there were giving amazing service, since they remember the reason of our celebration, they helped us the whole time being there. The food was really tasty. My family is not sea food enjoyers, but they were totally satisfied. There are enough tasty options for peopel with seafood allergy as my brother, so everyone got food feelings about this place. Prices are reasonable and are really great. For sure will return some day.

De entourage was geweldig, de sfeer goed, de ontvangst uitermate vriendelijk, de bediening voortreffelijk en het eten was fantastisch. Heerlijk gegeten, de uitleg van de verschillende gerechten zijn duidelijk uitgelegd. Maar veel te hoge prijs voor de kleine porties. Muziek staat net iets te hard en de tafels staan wel erg dicht bij elkaar. Dat kan beter. Uitzicht op het Erasmusbrug is te gek.

If I could give Kyatcha ten stars, I absolutely would! I had my graduation dinner booked there, and from the very beginning, the staff was incredibly accommodating, expanding our table from three to five without hesitation. Our servers were not only competent but also friendly and attentive. As for the food—wow! I can honestly say I’ve never tasted anything better. The quality was outstanding, and each dish was bursting with exquisite flavors, leaving me craving more. To top it all off, they surprised me with a lovely gesture at the end of the evening, which made the experience even more special. If I could choose only one place to eat for the rest of my life, it would be Kyatcha

Some of the food deserved the refined vibe and price, the other plates not. I was also expecting that you would have a nice view from anywhere you sit in the restaurant given the location of the restaurant, which turned out not to be the case though. Some tables have a very nice view, and others are situated between a wall and the kitchen. I don’t mind the kitchen view, but would have at least expected that all tables have a view on the nice outside area.

Wow! What a great place😍. The atmosphere is nice, the food is fantastic and the service is also exceptionally good. It's worth every euro! What beautiful dishes☺️. I will definitely come back here if I have something to celebrate or just fancy some VERY good sushi and dishes.

A perfect place to enjoy some high quality Japanese food and experience fine dining. The quality and presentation of the food was truly amazing, everything tasted phenomenal. The service was super friendly and everything was served quite quickly. Also, the atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing.

Beautiful restaurant with a great view, friendly service, tasty cocktails, minus points: there was a piece of oyster shell in my tempura cauliflower, special chu toro sauce was too overpowering.

It was very easy to celebrate special occasions here because the decor, service and food is breathtaking! I only wish there were more vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. That being said - the vegetarian sushi that was available was the best sushi I’ve ever had.

Beautifully presented dishes. For sure not lacking in taste. Seating wasn’t that great. There’s a spot upstairs with 4 tables for 2 pax each. But those tables are waaay to close to each other. A year ago, Kyatcha turned me into a sushi lover, with its perfect ambiance and design. Eager to relive that experience, I booked it again for a special occasion. Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown. The portions were small and overpriced, and the loud music made the place feel more like a bar or place that will turn into nightclub than a fine dining spot. The service was quick but couldn’t salvage the overall disappointment. What was once a favorite has sadly lost its charm.

All time favorite sushi (and more) place. They offer a lot of innovative ways to eat and appreciate sushi and other Asian-inspired dishes. Their drinks list are also impressive. A lot of great cocktails and mocktail (for non-alcoholic drinks lover). The service is always great and feels personalised. Make sure to call in advance to reserve a table.

Fantastic overall experience. Staff was very professional whilst maintaining a comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to people who feel uncomfortable with service that's too fancy. They were spot on with orders, requests, and speed. Not too fast, not too slow. We were seated downstairs at a lovely rounded table. Even though the restaurant was filled, I could hear the whole party of six perfectly. The food was amazing. Truth be told, I know nothing about how food should taste, but I had a great experience trying all the different menu items. Everything tasted great and was presented beautifully. Usually, reviews overlook the bathroom, but at Kyatcha Rotterdam, everything feels (and looks) clean. The bathroom downstairs is not near any tables, so you have enough privacy. The ladies' room was nicely decorated, and all the potentially needed amenities were available. My overall conclusion would be: Kyatcha Rotterdam is a great option for a night out (at least for a group of six people). The prices are higher than a "standard" restaurant, but you can check these on their website as they have the menu with prices available online. The price was worth it for me as I really enjoyed the whole experience. Would I go again? Definitely, but due to the prices, I would wait until a special occasion presents itself again.

One of the best dining experiences in recent memory. Every dish was good to superb, wait staff was friendly and quick. Michelin star level of service. Highly recommend.

Very nice environment. Friendly staff. The food tastes fine but it definitely doesn’t meet the value. I had tuna tartaar wrapped in seaweed with caviar on top and I couldn’t taste any of those ingredients which are intense in flavours by nature. I wish they could use ingredients of higher quality to match the level of the restaurant. Even the wasabi and ginger on side were not of good quality for the money you pay!

Great Japanese restaurant, with stylish Lounge feeling/music. We went for all fish menu and it was all delicious, nicely prepared at the moment and with several different cuts and fishes to try. Nice cocktail menu and excellent service by the staff. But it comes at a prize as it’s quite expensive (more than 120€/person) so giving 4* due to this, but worth it for a special occasion

Van het Yamazo restaurant van het Okura hotel in Amsterdam ben ik een ‘sacrale’ sfeer gewend. Deze is ver te zoeken bij Kyatcha in Rotterdam. De muziek is zeer luid en ongepast. Voor het personeel waarschijnlijk prettig vanwege de opzwepende aard ervan. Voor de gasten is het nagenoeg onmogelijk om een fatsoenlijk gesprek te voeren. Desgevraagd is het personeel niet bereid andere muziek op te zetten of het volume te dempen. De service is er dan naar. Zeer informeel, op het onbeleefde af. Prijs kwantiteit id uit balans, vooral duur. Eten hoog in smaak, weinig delicaat. Ronduit teleurstellend.

Great place for water views. Sat at the bar and staff was very nice. However the food was very average. I know sushi all over the world and there are much better places here but maybe not with the view. Toro was worst I've had. Salmon was good. Karaage chicken was lots of batter and fat very little meat. One of the worst. For a high end place. Poor selection of Chicken by the chef. The unagi foie gras roll was a waste. Will not be back. Was warmed by local friends not to go. But aside from the food enjoyed the bar for a drink and good sake.

The waiter asked us out 40 minutes before closing time, I suspect it was because we are not of their breed as there were still a lot of people inside and he spoke very rudely.

Coup de cœur ! L n’étant pas fan des restaurants japonais, plus précisément des sushis, le pari était risqué. Cependant, à travers le service aux petits soins, des produits qualitatifs ainsi que la préparation de ces derniers, ce restaurant aura du nous conquérir parfaitement. 5 sur 5 !

Came for dinner during my last night in Rotterdam. Served by a team of attentive and lovely staff. Food was great and the overall atmosphere was lovely. Thanks for making my last night in Rotterdam a memorable one. Will not hesitate to visit again next time i’m in town.

We appreciated everything here, from the reception to the vibe when leaving, going through delicious plates and wine. All staff we had contact with was uniquely nice. Don’t miss a Spice Garden 😉

Although food quality was good overall, and the place looked very nicely decorated, i was not able to give this a 5/5 rating. first of all, having been to enough ‘fine dining’ experiences, i have never felt like i was really not getting my money’s worth, but at Kyatcha (in many cases) i felt like the food did not compare to it’s price. The lamb racks were amazing, Hamachi was great, liked the scallops although most of these were also small portions, the wagyu tataki was okay, most of the sushi was good ( although small portions for a high price ) but some dishes just did not live up to expectiations. Tuna tartare was also very tasty. The tiger prawns, being almost 30 euro’s were dry, and taste (combination of sauce etc.) was just not good. it also consisted of 3 bites of food in total, the White chocolate mouse dessert lacked taste and some of the sushi felt like it should have been of much higher quality for it’s price. this means the food was 50/50 for me. service was good, we never had to wait at all, but waiters seemed very business-like and stern. Music was also too loud for my tastes, as i could not hear what waiters as well as my partner had to say. in the end i spent 306 euro’s for 2 people, and ended up getting a cheeseburger on the way home.

Great Experience at Kyatcha Rotterdam At the last minute we made a reservation by telephone at Kyatcha Rotterdam. We were received very nicely; our coats were accepted and we were kindly guided to our table. The host was extremely friendly and gave a clear explanation of the drinks on the menu. The waitress gave excellent and honest recommendations. The food was truly heavenly and beautifully prepared down to the smallest detail. Even the edamame beans were grilled and served with coarse sea salt, which was a delicious addition. We had high expectations for the desserts because of the food, but they were a bit disappointing. Very attentive to a last minute request. We received fireworks for a late birthday celebration for our friend who was very surprised! We really enjoyed our evening and will definitely come back!

Pretentious. In terms of atmosphere, layout and especially price, they try to play in a higher league than they can achieve. Taste and service in particular are lacking.

Came in with 5 people yesterday and did not like it. The food is quite average given the high price point and comes in small portions. We have all had better sushi before. The meat and sea food dishes were also rather bland, just nothing special really for the price you’re paying. Expect to spend around €80-100~ per person if you want to get full. We had to get a second dinner elsewhere because we barely had any bites and our bill was already too high. I think this place is better for Western people that haven’t tasted much Asian food, but for Asians this experience was lackluster. We wouldn’t recommended it.

Superb discovery, this restaurant well located in the center of Rotterdam. The dishes are delicious and the service is perfect. A fine selection of wine is available.
