This place is fantastic. Really enjoyed the food and service. Some of the best ramen I have ever had.

The restaurant is accessible from outside and via the market hall. The atmosphere is inviting. We were served very nicely and joked with the waitress. There was also advice on the various dishes. The ramen and gyoza were fantastic. We'll come back the next time we visit Rotterdam.

Pleasant busy restaurant with a short queue. The food came quite quickly, but the service was also very quick in clearing dishes so it seemed like you weren't allowed to sit for long. Food tasted good and looked beautiful.

Well organized local show and good dishes

Tonight we went here for the first time and we discovered a new favorite restaurant. The food (ramen soup as well as curry and sides) was great, authentic taste, just amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, we’ll come back again.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! I got a Vegan Tan Tan Men and it was the best I ever had. This explains the long queues during lunch/dinner hours. Service is fast and it is definitely worth the wait. They serve many vegan options: will definitely go back.

Love this place, food is greaaat...

The service is very quick, and the atmosphere may be loud, but its quite nice. The Octopus Balls were a new experience, very hot when eaten whole, but also very tasty. And the shrimp ramen, was delicious. I was also taught how to open a bottle of Ramune.

And very authentic Japanese noodle restaurant. Disease is exactly the same as those restaurants in Japan. Noodles are very delicious. Rice with curry is also excellent and ultra big in size. So happy to come as we have long for Japanese food for quite sometime already. Will definitely come if we traveled to Rotterdam again.

1. It's Takumi. Their decor, their ambiance and their service is pretty much standardized and is as good as any other location. 2. Their vegetarian/vegan options are limited. But it is very good. Their taste is consistent, the quality of ingredients used is also high across their locations. 3. Their beverages are good too. It just makes the whole experience complete. Overall a very good chain. If you like ramen, you have to try this place. Apparently it doesn't matter which location. they're all good.

Tried Takumi Ramen, one of the most renowned ramen chains in the Netherlands, located in the bustling Markthal, a prime spot near Blaak station in Rotterdam. I opted for the Black Garlic Kara Ebi Miso Ramen, a distinctive dish featuring black garlic, fried chicken, a shrimp skewer, cabbage, bamboo shoots, and spring onions. The black broth added a unique twist, making it a memorable and flavorful experience. We also enjoyed the Teriyaki Curry, a delightful Japanese curry rice with teriyaki chicken, wakame salad, and a side soup. It was equally impressive, offering a well-balanced taste. As a side dish, we had the Karage, which was also quite satisfying. While it may not be the most highly anticipated ramen place, Takumi Ramen still delivers a very good dining experience. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine, but the restaurant is also known for its vibrant and inviting interior design. Highly recommended for ramen enthusiasts visiting Rotterdam.

Tasty plates! Recommended for their large portions and value. The place can be a little noisy at times, it is better to dine outside, unfortunately that was not offered to us as an option this time.

This is Takumi's third store in Europe, and it feels a bit like a food court, but we didn't have any trouble finding snacks to drink with!

Good food near markthal Rotterdam. I've been to Japan last year and this is one of the placed that comes very close to that experience and taste. 4 stars since, it's not yet what I experienced in Japan ;). Amazing food, great atmosphere. I would have liked it if the water to drink was free. But that's almost everywhere here anyway. Good portion sizes and the garlic flavour is delicious! 9/10 would definitely go again!

There was a line to get in but it moved very quickly and the girl who served us was very diligent in answering all our questions and concerns. Added to this, the two ramen we ordered were very delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I recommend it if you are in the area.

The 🍜s are good, The black garlic miso ramen is 4/5 The shoyu ramen is 4.5/5 (very refreshing!) The chicken gyoza is 4.5/5 The atmosphere is a cozy Japanese dinner completed with Japanese songs! The services are perfect and very helpful.

Ramen had all the normal ingredients but little to no Umami taste, noodles were simple egg noodles. Loaded the chilli oil dishes with way too much oil to mask the lack of flavour

I had a good experience in this restaurant. The food was really good and quantity was pretty big. Staff were friendly and food came fast. It was one of the best resaurant i had in Netherlands. I would definetly come back.

Though we waited for our seats because it was full. Service was fast. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious. The portions was enough to fill our empty tummy. We have a wonderful experience here. Nothing to complain at all.

Ordered spicy ramen, Heineken draft beer, and original fried dumplings*6 The ramen contains a lot of vegetables, such as Chinese cabbage, green vegetables, dried bamboo shoots, and coriander, which is a lot of ingredients but not spicy at all. The dumplings are beautifully fried and the fillings are delicious. The beer is also a good deal with large draft beers. If you really want to eat Asian food, you can consider this restaurant Although it’s not quite authentic Japanese ramen, it tastes pretty good. Not too big of a thunder☺️

Service was great and the food came right away. However the ramen wasn’t high quality. For example, the meat has a lot of fat and what is called “Avocado salad” had two slices of avocado and the rest of it was lettuce.

There are quite a number of really really good ramen restaurants in Rotterdam and in fact we're quite spoiled for choice. Takumi at Markthal is truly one of the best I've been to. Excellent and super friendly service. Delicious ebi and kara-age spicy ramen and warm saké have made my day so so much better today! Can't wait to return. Highly recommended

YAMMY. delicious broth, not too spicy, noodles were firm and chewy. Lots of different ingredients in it: large piece of pak choi, half an egg, bamboo, coriander, Chinese cabbage, prawns and chicken. the chicken was wonderfully tender and everything was very tasty and filling. The only point was that the ratio of noodles could be a bit more, because the noodles were used up quickly and there were still a lot of ingredients left. next time maybe ask for some more noodles, but other than that it was delicious, varied and filling!!!! a big 8.5/10!!!!!!!! also the staff was nice and fast. We arrived at a busy time, but still had a quiet spot which was wonderful. the food came quickly and so did the drinks. I also definitely recommend the homemade iced tea! :p definitely worth going back and also for the price!

The ramen noodles are high-quality and not those cheap ones that basically every other European ramen restaurant serves. Only for that I would give the restaurant 5 stars. The Ramen as a whole are definitely among the better ones in Europe. On par with standard ramen restaurants in Japan. Maybe even slightly better.

I had lunch here with friends. A suitable spot was quickly found even though it was very full. I liked the ambience, but unfortunately it was very loud. Service was quick, but often not very talkative. We enjoyed the food. I had something with pumpkin that I recommend.

Good place far ramen in the markthall it has a good variation menu offerings different types of dishes. Including ramen of course The place is nicely decorated. Can be very busy at times. But that is a sign of the food is good

The noodles here are very similar to Japanese noodles. The store advertises that the noodles are sent directly from Japan. As for the taste and texture, I give it a thumbs up in Europe (for Asian stomachs).

Amazing ambiance, one feels pulled into Japan instantly. Staff is attentive. Lots of seating. Ordered their Fried Tofu, which was delicious and healthy. Then Veg Gyozas, which were good too. And Spicy Vegan Miso Ramen with Tofu, which was fine too but didn’t taste spicy to me (spicy is subjective!). Overall, a great place in the middle of the Market Hall with good vegan/veg food options and good vibe.

Good service and fairly prompt - waited 10 minutes for my food to be prepared. Amazing noodles! Broth was definitely the highlight. Extremely filling with the cabbage, soft boiled egg - I really struggled to complete my bowl. Prices range €15-17 for noodles, drinks from €3-5+

Just left 2 mins ago, would have been still there but was forced to leave (8PM only) when we were asked to clear the table 3 times in 3 minutes, even through one of us is still not finished. While clearing the table, she took away the napkin of the person still eating so we asked for new napkins. The same waitress brought back napkins and put on the dirty table with chilli oil and soup, didn’t even bother to hand the napkin directly to us while knowing the table was dirty. There was no one waiting for tables and the restaurant is not close to closing time yet. Terrible service.

Nice looking place, buddy and bustling. Good size potions generous toppings. But the stock could be better. I had one of the tonkotsu ramens. The stock lacked a bit of creaminess and it was quite heavily salted, perhaps to compensate for some missing flavor.

Stay away from the dumplings, they are very similar to the freezer dumplings that you can buy at the asian supermarket. 13 eur for some rice and (what tastes like) freezer gyoza is a lot! Their homemade ice tea is really good tho

This was the only chain where they serve yakisoba! The yakisoba experience was great! Other dishes ordered, pumpkin croquette and takoyaki were delicious. The staff were amazing as well.

The vegan ramen was okay. But three pieces of grilled peppers. Well, there's still something going on. A little tofu would have been good. I also ordered the egg in the picture separately.
