Kyoto in Oud-Strijp

It was my second time there. The first time was nice food, cozy but pricey. Then, years later I went there with my friends to celebrate their birthday. Sushi and sashimi are nice, but not super authentic Japanese Sushi and sashimi. Staffs are nice but we waited for quite some time before they took out the order. The environment is noisy when there are lots of crowds because the place is small.

We are eating here for the 2nd time, great sushi, the best so far in Eindhoven. Aubergine, tempura, sushi platter are some of the must try

We were looking for a Japanese restaurant to dine at in Eindhoven. This is a good choice though not that central of a location. We to walk a bit from our hotel which was in the city centre. Staff were welcoming on arrival with good explanation and knowledge of the menu. I would recommend the Osaka and salmon set for those that like salmon sushi. The Osaka sushi was the highlight of the set. The tea was however underwhelming, if you are looking for authentic Japanese tea you may be disappointed as what you will get is a supermarket teabag. I would come back again to explore more of the menu.

Delicious food, but there was a long wait for the food due to the crowds. It seemed that takeaway orders took precedence over guests in the restaurant, which is a pity that the service scores less.

Dit blijft ver uit de beste sushi van Eindhoven. Komen er zo nu en dan al 8 jaar. Aardige bediening geen gehaast. Eten ziet er altijd goed uit en smaakt vers.

Gisteren besteld, bestelling goed ontvangen. Vandaag kwamen we de bestelling ophalen, wisten ze nergens van! Later wel gevonden maar moest nog worden gemaakt. Tijdens het wachten kwam er nog iemand met hetzelfde probleem. Slecht georganiseerd op de Aalsterweg!

Lets not use big words. There is and will never be any better sushi restaurant in the area. Kyoto is the best. Amazing friendly service, and the food is authentic and fresh and taste like drops of heaven. Period. Done.

The food is really very good, but gosh, we sometimes had to wait so long. Both to place an order and then wait for the food. Definitely recommended for dinner, but keep in mind that it can be a full evening program.

Clearly the best sushi restaurant in Eindhoven. It's not all-you-can-eat, which makes sense but shouldn't scare you of! Every time I eat here I spend less than at those mediocre all-you-can-eats, since 20-30 euros of sushi gets you more than full anyway. Would recommend getting the one with the fried shrimp in it, it's still hot!

Wij hebben laten bezorgen vandaag en ook een paar weken terug. Altijd vonden we het erg lekker maar de laatste paar keer niet. Sushi valt uit elkaar, smaakt waterig en flauw. Zo jammer want ik vond dit voorheen altijd de lekkerste Sushi. Wat is er veranderd?? Verplicht een fooi geven, € 4 bezorgkosten ??

Hands down best sushi in Eindhoven. Doesnt have all you can eat policy which is even better. Courteous staff and decent ambience very close to the psv stadium. Besides sushi do try out the noodles & sides.

Kyoto stands for delicious sushi...in my opinion it still does, but there are a few caveats. Ambience is mediocre. If you sit in the left part it all looks very unpleasant, also because of the many delivery people walking in and out. A critical point regarding the food. The wasabi that is reserved with the sushi/sashimi (obviously not real, because Horseradish) has little taste and is very watery. If you go for quality, then also go for the quality of these types of products.

Normally always been good. Not so much lately and today very bad. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked to take my drink. It was still quiet and the food and drinks took a very long time. Sushi quickly rolled together and fell apart. After 1.5 hours I asked when the food would arrive. Unfortunately, Mrs. started arguing that we had just arrived??? Nope... two waitresses is just not enough... then don't blame the problem on the customer. Unfortunately she didn't care what I said and was charged instead of an apology? Too bad we will look for another place where they can admit mistakes

Taste, service and atmosphere is above average. However, it`s pricy, and the main reason is that portions are not really filling.

Excellent food, delicious fresh sushi in a living room-like atmosphere.

We arrived at 5:00 PM and at 5:20 PM no one had yet come to the table to order drinks. At 5.30 pm we finally ordered drinks and immediately had food. The drinks were delivered at 5:45 PM and the food at 6:00 PM, the sushi was mediocre. Immediately passed on the next round of sushi. However, this was never delivered, the tables around us all suffered from this as well. There was quite a bit of frustration. After waiting an hour we left hungry and when paying we said something about it, which caused a big discussion. Conclusion: we will never come back here again!

The Sushi was really fantastic! Delicious food after a day of shopping with the family. Great within walking distance of the center. Staff were very friendly and good humored. Unfortunately, a round was forgotten from the kitchen. After we reported this, it was quickly corrected and we received a small compensation. The atmosphere is not great, a bit of a takeaway restaurant style. Also lack of a nice working system. No cards or pen or App. Just read numbers. As a family we just wrote it down ourselves. Oh well, if that's all, you'll soon forget it because the food was really the best Sushi I've had in a long time!! Very fresh.

We ate delicious sushi again. Yesterday we had to wait a very long time due to the crowds. What was very nice was that we received a bowl of soy beans on the house. A little more staff would be nice on these busy days. For example, the drinks also took a very long time and the staff was almost running. We will definitely come back, but on a slightly less busy day.

We ate here for the first time today and the children said beforehand that they would not like anything. Well the opposite has proven to be the case. Super tasty and very fresh. Really great! We will definitely come back with friends in the near future.

Excellent sushi, one of the best ever

Ordered food here on April 1. Always been fine but this time, oh my goodness. The photo shows the sashimi salad with salmon and tuna on top. As can be seen in the photo, the raw fish is no longer edible... and stinks. That piece of plastic that says "bright spart" was IN a maki roll. Really incredibly dirty. The fried salmon is also miserable this time. Order over 100 and not half of them edible... never again.

De sushi is echt heerlijk, vers bereid en dat proef je. De menukaart bevat ook ruim voldoende keuzemogelijkheden. Gerechten van de bakplaat zijn ook lekker, minder uitzonderlijk dan de sushi, maar eveneens van prima kwaliteit. Het personeel is zakelijk en de ambiance in het rechter deel van het restaurant is oké. Met twee personen gegeten en gedronken voor €93,-. Prijs/kwaliteit is dus zeker in orde. We komen hier zeker nog eens terug!

Tasty sushi, nothing to complain about

I had the worst restaurant experience of my entire life in here. We went there with my boyfriend for a super casual valentines dinner, it was a real mistake. Even though we made a reservation before going there, we had to wait a bit before we were seated. Then we had to wait even longer to order our dinner. At that point it was around 20:30 and I was already very hungry. The waitress who took our orders was not really communicating well, she simply forgot about my order and we found out this when I waited for my food to arrive for AN HOUR. It never came. My boyfriend had to ask for where my order is to the same waitress. Then she brought ONLY 1 of the things I ordered (at this point it is 21:30 and I am super angry and hungry). Then we had to ask where the second dish was?! The second dish came way after. It was fried rice and while I was eating it something cracked in between my teeth. That was the tipping point for me and I couldn’t help and started crying in this restaurant. Terrible service. Food is not that great. In short, don’t waste your time and money by going there.

Besides the fact that it is ridiculously expensive to eat here, 2 people we had dinner with were also sick in bed. Also a lot of problems with sewer flies in the restaurant, it seems as if the basement was full of water or there was a sewer leak.

We were really amazed by the delicious food

Eten is vers en briljant beleid. De bediening past bij een sterrenrestaurant. Een absolute aanrader.

De sushi(boot) is erg goed. Hier komen we vaker terug.

Nog nooit zulke lekkere sushi op! Wordt vers bereid en geserveerd in een huiselijke setting. Vriendelijke bediening. Wij komen zeker terug!

Het eten is vers en smaakt erg lekker. De service kan echt beter, we hebben een uur moeten wachten op ons eerste gerecht wat echt een enorme teleurstelling was. Drankjes waren tussentijds al op uiteraard en erg lastig contact te maken met de serveerder. Sfeer is oké.

Heerlijk sushi gegeten, zeker een aanrader

Sushi was very good and tasty! The Tataki was a bit disappointing with the size and the lack of taste But will definitely be back to eat more sushi there:)

We go very often, we like a lot the food but the service is very bad. Unfortunately we left yesterday before we received our last dish. I had to chase the waiter to take the order and even so, the dish and drinks never came.

Japanse kitchen serving fresh and quite tasty sushi, quickly served by very friendly staff. No better sushi place in Eindhoven!

We ordered 3 sets of sushi, prawn tempura and gyoza. Sushi was really good but prawn tempura was beyond that level, very yummy. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing for the gyoza; it was below my expectations. Waiting time between dishes was reasonable. 3xsushi, 2xprawn tempura, 1xgyoza, 4xbeer was 80 euro, which is acceptable.

Beste sushi! Leuk schattig restaurant. Vriendelijke bediening. Hier gaan we vaker heen!

Heerlijke sushi. Echt veel beter dan gemiddeld te krijgen is. Het gaat hier om kwaliteit en niet kwantiteit. Perfect bereid, heel erg mooi opgemaakt en de vis is heerlijk. Uitstekende temperatuur ook.

Heerlijk gegeten bij Kyoto. Voornamelijk voortreffelijke sushi, maar ook de andere gerechten zijn top! Een aanrader is de gebakken zalm.

Een gezellig japans restaurant Kyoto in Eindhoven, het is 10 minuten rijden van Eindhoven centrum. Bestaat uit 2 gedeelte het restaurant. Met hier en daar Japans items en de interieur is mooi. Medewerkers zijn alert, vriendelijk en vlot. Eten komen snel na het bestellen. De sushi’s en hapjes zijn echt vers, luxe en heel lekker. Het is druk in het restaurant. Vergeet daarom niet te reserveren. Zeker een aanrader.

I’ve had a hard time finding quality/good sushi in Eindhoven. Kyoto so far is the best. There are way too many all you can eat sushi places focusing on quantity not quality. I’m happy Kyoto sets itself apart.

This restaurant offers amazing sushi. Top-notch quality of rice and fish, very flavourful and a great choice. We also tried the starters and I can highly recommend the chicken gyoza. The interior is cozy and comfortable. The prices are not exaggerated (actually it is great value for money compared to similar restaurants in the Netherlands). I will come back.
