We had a mixed tapas, a decent selection. The calamari rings weren't fried well, the pimientos del padron were practically raw, but everything else was good. The burger, on the other hand, wasn't bad. The price was average, and the staff was very kind and helpful.

La Boca is a very nice and entertaining restaurant. From the moment we entered the restaurant, the owner approached us and greeted us. The atmosphere is amazing and filled with great vibes and great Latino music! The food was amazingly delicious. From the crunchy Croquetas to the well seasoned rib eye, the pallets were in for a great adventure!

I have been visiting the Netherlands for two years in a row and when I am in Amsterdam I eat at La Boca. The best meat, delicious side dishes, very friendly atmosphere and impeccable service. For a relaxed atmosphere and 5 star food, La Boca is the perfect choice. I hope to visit you again soon!

Small Argentine steakhouse near Dam Square We had excellent grilled meat. The service was quick. The waiters were very friendly. The espresso was very good compared to what you usually find in Amsterdam.

Such an amazing place to eat out with friends and family! My sister, my mum, and I came here to have something to eat, and it was far beyond what I expected. The customer service was absolutely wonderful—everyone was so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was just as incredible—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What truly made the night extra special was how they surprised my mum with a free dessert for her birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture that really showed how much they care about their customers. We left with big smiles and full hearts. Highly recommend this place for any occasion!

New to Amsterdam I'm walking the streets in search of food. It was raining and my human battery was drained. I happened upon La Boca and the menu had me interested. Ordered chicken/fries/salad. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. This what I needed and will now vacation in a good mood

I visited Amsterdam for the first time with my daughters. We found this place in the evening, hungry and tired, almost by accident. The food is excellent, the service is first-rate, the staff is friendly and direct, they tried to please us in every way. The banknote collection on the walls of the restaurant deserves special attention. The next time we are in Amsterdam, we will definitely visit this lovely place again! Thank you for everything! 😊

Our family of 7 dropped there as last and only guests before closing, and the owner family which is working in the restaurant were super friendly. We had a tapas Mix plate, some burgers, a steak and kids menu. All was rly perfect...if I would look for something to make better, i would say the burger bread could have been better. The location is kinda rustic...nice but here and there aged. Best wishes from us to them!

Walked past this place actually on the way to another restaurant but liked the look of it so went in. Can’t comment too much on the atmosphere as we were the only people in there. Staff were friendly, music was good! My family had burgers and enjoyed them. I had Chicken Schnitzel with pepper sauce and a jacket potato, it was nice but felt a bit odd to not have any kind of salad too.

We were at La Boca, right on Dam Square. I highly recommend this restaurant. The owner is super friendly, and he and the waiters are very attentive, constantly checking to see if customers are enjoying their meal. We loved the steak. We had the rump steak and entrecôte. It was cooked to perfection. For all you football fans, there's even a TV showing football 😉 The price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. I can also recommend the mint tea, which has fresh mint instead of a tea bag and tastes and smells simply amazing.

The place is super touristy. Although the atmosphere has something authentic, all the dishes are actually very banal. There's no paella. The meat is perhaps the best of all. The staff is friendly, but that's not enough to make this place a recommended spot.

We went to La Boca right on Dam Square – and it was a complete success! The atmosphere was warm and lively, with great music that perfectly matched the Argentinian flair. Two impressive pictures hang on the wall: Maradona (1986) and Messi (2022) – a must for football fans! We ordered the mixed grill and a cheeseburger – super delicious, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and relaxed. Despite the central location, we found the prices fair. In summary: Delicious food, good atmosphere, beautiful music, and a touch of Argentina in the heart of Amsterdam – highly recommended!

La Boca in Amsterdam is a hidden gem. The owner genuinely puts his heart into the place and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. We never write reviews — let alone negative ones. But this experience was truly shocking. As a family with two young daughters (ages 4 and 7), we decided to sit down at an empty table on the terrace of this restaurant. It was a sunny day, the table wasn’t reserved, and we quietly took our seats. For ten minutes, we waited patiently while the waiter — a bearded man who was standing right next to our table — ignored us completely. No greeting, no menu, no acknowledgment. When we eventually asked — politely — if we could order something and if the table could be cleared, he became visibly upset. He started lecturing us about “international rules” of hospitality, because we had seated ourselves at an empty table. The tone was so rude and hostile that we were honestly shocked. This happened on July 22, 2025, and it ruined what was supposed to be a nice family dinner. We were stunned. When you’re out with children, you expect at least a basic level of courtesy. Instead, we were met with pure unfriendliness and disrespect. We felt so unwelcome that we left without ordering a thing. For the record: we are not difficult people. We avoid conflict and always try to be respectful and understanding. But this situation made us feel deeply uncomfortable. One golden rule for any restaurant: if a family with young kids already feels unwelcome the moment they sit down, something is seriously wrong.

There is very good food in a relaxed atmosphere

Steaks, meat was fresh and steaks were cooked to perfection. Chimichurri sauce delicious. Patatas bravas perfect and piping hot. Rice was good too. Avocado salad fresh and large. Open late. Perfect for starving tourists. Son of the owner was charming, bright and provided excellent and gracious service!

I went to Argentina a year ago and the food here was just as good. This was the best place I’ve had in Europe in my 6 days here so far!

I tried the tenderloin steak and it was excellent and worth a try! The chicken wings were also delicious and seasoned perfectly. The tomato soup was below expectations but acceptable. Unfortunately, the La Boca burger wasn't up to scratch, so I wouldn't recommend it. The prices are generally acceptable, but the service needs to be more welcoming.

Great little find. Not far from the centre of everything. A barbq lovers heaven. I could have chosen many many things from the menu but went for the tapas platter, which was delicious. 25€ wasn't bad value and I was absolutely stuffed. The service was great as well. Couldn't fault it.

Excellent food, genuine Argentine cuisine, music that makes you sway to the beat! They have very clean restrooms (a big plus!!!). I recommend the Affligem beer, so refreshing. The service was excellent, prices are very reasonable. Enjoy!
