A fantastic evening with delicious food! Besides the varied menu and the beautifully prepared dishes, the staff made it an unforgettable experience for our youngest guest. Watching his pizza being made in the kitchen, joking with the staff, and even wrapping his own pizza. Thank you!

The pizza was fine, but we also ordered tagliatelle con scampi (listed as fregola on the menu), but it was also allowed with tagliatelle. The scampi wasn't fresh and smelly, so it was really bad. The pasta was a single block and couldn't be separated, and there was almost no sauce, making the pasta bone dry. So the pizza was okay, but the pasta was a disaster. The service was friendly, though.

A total fiasco after not being at Bocca Grande for a while. The food has deteriorated terribly, and they didn't take my complaint seriously and acted as if the dish was meant to be. The Gnudi was terribly dry and overcooked, as if I was eating dried-out kale. I could have ordered something else, but they still charged me half the price of the first dish (I only ate one bite). My girlfriend's pasta sauce was almost gone, and while that could have been corrected, it speaks volumes about the current state of the kitchen. I'm deeply disappointed after visiting your restaurant so many times and always bringing people back. After this, I'll never be back.

Delicious food and good service

We come to this restaurant very often. My son loves their homemade pizza Salami. I normally order pasta with shrimps. They are always very good. The atmosphere is nice. The price is not too expensive.

We come here regularly. The last few times, we noticed a lack of consistency among the wait staff and the kitchen. There were lots of other people. The second-to-last time, we could only order pasta/pizza. Last time, the wait times were extremely long. It wasn't full, but still an hour for a cold starter. The main course took another 45 minutes and wasn't even served hot. Yes, there were apologies and a discount on the bill. But it's time for someone to really take charge and properly organize the kitchen and service. Otherwise, we think it's a cozy restaurant with delicious food. We'll give it another try sometime.

The evening at Bocca Grande got off to a bit of a rough start. When I asked for a drinks menu, the staff seemed surprised—strange, as I like to be inspired by their selection. The Negroni was affordable, but sparsely poured and tasted mediocre. The platter to share as a starter was fine, but without any surprising flavors. Then it took a very long time for the main course to arrive; tables that arrived later were already on their desserts while we were still waiting. The main courses themselves were unbalanced. My "guinea fowl fillet" turned out to be bone-in, and the two bavettes had been reversed in terms of doneness. The salmon pasta tasted good, but was absurdly large—while other dishes had to be ordered separately, such as a small bowl of Aglio Olio for €7. I'm a proponent of separate components—to avoid waste—but a bavette costing €29 deserves a small portion. €7 is outrageous for such a small bowl. Service left a lot to be desired: no one asked us when we were clearing the table whether we wanted dessert (after the long wait, I suspect the kitchen had already closed; it was already after 9:30 PM) or coffee, and we had to ask for the bill and our coats ourselves. The staff did their best, but inappropriate jokes at the expense of colleagues and poor timing didn't make things any better. Bocca Grande lacks balance—in portions, pace, and service. Some good ingredients, but the execution is lacking.

Delicious gluten-free pizza! I was a bit skeptical about whether it was actually gluten-free, but I had no problems afterward. Friendly staff and good service. Definitely recommended for both allergy sufferers and those without!

If the risotto is now served properly cooked and not half raw and uncooked (read: not al dente) then 5 stars

Maybe I chose the wrong restaurant for my personal taste because it was a little too bland for me, not enough seasoning for my personal liking. The staff were nice but we waited a long time for our menu and ended up having to ask for it ourselves after about 20 minutes of waiting. Other than that the atmosphere was beautiful both inside and outside of the restaurant.

Last Friday evening we went to dinner at La Bocca Grande in Helmond. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. When we arrived, it wasn't busy at all, but it took a surprisingly long time for a server to notice us and bring us drinks and a menu. When ordering, we indicated we needed to be at the cinema at 9:30 PM. The server said that wouldn't be a problem. We shared a drinks platter as a starter, which was fine. At 8:30 PM, we had finished our dessert and were asked if we wanted our main course right away or with an intermission. We reiterated that we needed to be at the cinema at 9:30 PM, so please serve immediately. However, by 9:10 PM, we still hadn't received anything. After inquiring, we were told it would be "any minute." The main course didn't arrive until 9:20 PM, and the fries we'd ordered with it arrived five minutes later. At that point, we were casually asked if we wanted another drink... even though we had to leave in five minutes. The biggest problem wasn't just the slow kitchen, but especially that the waitstaff seemed too busy talking to each other instead of the guests. While they apologized afterward, the waitress took no responsibility whatsoever – "I've passed it on to the kitchen" was all she said. A missed opportunity. Due to poor timing and a lack of attention to the guests, we had to rush our dinner and almost missed the movie. We won't be back.

The food is okay, but come on, waiting two hours for your main course? And then being forgotten when you want a drink? Very disappointing.

Eating pizza with the grandchildren wasn't just a fun outing; it became a true experience. This was thanks to the wonderful staff at La Bocca. They were incredibly hospitable, friendly, helpful, and funny, and as a grand finale, they even let us watch the pizzaiolo making the pizza. He was a whiz at making the pizzas. They were so delicious that, to our surprise, the youngest, not even two years old, ate a whole pizza all by himself. Beautiful ❤️

Definitely worth repeating!! Everything was deliciously prepared and well-seasoned. An extensive menu. The only downside is the poor ventilation. Our clothes and hair smelled of food.

We ate at La Bocca Grande, but we wouldn't go back. The ingredients are fresh, which is definitely noticeable. The Salmon pizza has fennel seeds, which are overpowering and not tasty. The service was friendly but we could hear them complaining among themselves about the organization. Do this before or after work, not in front of the guests. A starter, main course, and a cup of tea/coffee took us almost three hours. We're not in a hurry, but this was a very long time.

The food taking time to prepare is one thing that can be overlooked because I’m told everything is made fresh- ( debatable ) however the staff’s attitude is very unpleasant and takes away from the whole experience. Top italiaans restaurant! Porties zijn mooi en zeker genoeg. Bediening is heel vriendelijk. Het interieur is echt mooi strak en sfeervol. Je waant je echt in Italië. Zeker de moeite waard. Wij hebben meteen weer voor over drie weken gereserveerd.

Went for a bite to eat with the whole family for my mother-in-law's birthday. I have been to your place several times and was always surprised by the good service and the delicious food. Until unfortunately last Wednesday. In our opinion the waiter was very disrespectful at some times. My brother-in-law's response was: “What do you think?” when he politely asked where the toilet was. My pregnant sisters-in-law were told: “Then you must have had sex?” And as a non-pregnant woman, I was told: “Then you haven't had sex” when I did order a red wine. Very painful to hear as a woman who might want children. There's a good chance that this waiter meant it in a cynical-funny way, but we didn't like that. We sat for a total of more than 4 hours because it also took a very long time for the food to arrive. And that, even though the tent was certainly not completely full. The food was otherwise fine, but I've come to expect better from you. It's a shame, because I always enjoyed being with you. We will choose a different restaurant next time if the service remains the same.

The food was nice, it was nothing out of the ordinary but not bad either. The service however was not good. The staff wasn‘t friendly, we didn‘t get a drink menu nor a spoon for the spaghetti without asking for it. Definitely felt like they were more friendly to natives. Five minutes after we finished our starters, one of the servers asked if we wanted to have our main dish now or in five minutes, we said we wanted our mains now… We then had to wait over 35 minutes until our main was served. We spend over 2 hours in the restaurant even though we just split a starter & had a main dish each.

For my parents' wedding day, we picked up three delicious pizzas because my father was home sick and we couldn't eat on location. While waiting for the pizzas, my mother and I were given a tasty glass of house wine. Super food, super service and super decoration. We will definitely come back again!! Thank you very much :)

Way too much delicious food. The portions could be smaller. Ordering an appetizer, intermediate course and main course was way too much. Too bad it wasn't coordinated. I assume that is the case with a chef's menu. Service very attentive. We will definitely go back.

Food was nothing special. Super slow service. We had to wait more than 1 hour for our main course and that was the only thing we ordered. Tent wasn't even full, 5 tables were occupied. Operator was also not customer friendly. Not recommended!

I don't know what has changed but pizza isn't what it used to be. Dough too thin and ingredients of medium quality. The last two times I went the quality was the same 🤷 really a shame 😞 in my opinion the pizza chef has changed

Ik ben nou 2x bij La Bocca Grande wezen eten. En 2x is het tegen gevallen. De laatste keer werden de jassen niet aangenomen en hebben we ze zelf maar weggehangen. We moesten zelf om de menukaart vragen. Wanneer ons drinken op was moesten we zelf naar nieuw drinken vragen. We moesten heel lang wachten op ons eten. De Sharing Platter als voorgerecht waren eigen maar 2 soorten vleeswaren met een heel taai broodje. En de pasta was smaakloos. We hebben gevraagd naar wat peper en zout om zelf wat smaak toe te voegen. Ook zat er maar weinig zalm en spinazie in de pasta. Al met al dus een tegenvaller en een slechte prijs kwaliteit verhouding naar mijn mening. Ik zal hier niet gauw meer terugkomen.

We walked in on spec last Saturday and there was still room for 2. We received an appetizer from the house beforehand, which is of course always a nice surprise. I had the best pizza ever here! Normally I leave the crust alone, but here it had a lot of flavor. You will go home with a well-filled belly. The young lady serving was also very attentive and nice. Definitely worth repeating.

Had a delicious 4 course fish dinner and it was super tasty. The oysters, the lobster soup, the qocilles, and the risotto were absolutely fantastic with shrimps, squid, mussels and half a lobster each. Dessert was a perfect ending. Staff were friendly and informative. We will definitely come back.

Voor iets van 88 euro zitten eten, ruim 20 minuten moeten wachten op een glas wijn, geef altijd wel iets van fooi, dus gezegd doe maar 90 euro, als het echt fantastisch is, geef ik meer fooi, niet gekeken op de pinautomaat, mijn fout! Zie nu dat er 100 euro is afgeschreven, dus mensen let op!! Had dit al eerder gehoord van anderen, dat het personeel zich meer fooi toe-eigent dat dat ze verdienen.

Everything could be just a little bit better. Understaffing? No side dish with main course? Neither salad or fries....weird.

Disappointment: sea bass was dry, service was moderately long wait. We won't be coming back here.

Ate here for the 1st time today. Bottle of red wine was great. Surprisingly delicious food, we had the Parma ham beforehand and then the chef special with tenderloin. For dessert we had the mocha with caramel and pear. All very tasty. We will definitely come here more often to taste more dishes, I am very curious!

Delicious food! Not a "standard" Italian restaurant with just simple pastas or pizzas, but just a little more variety and taste.

Unfortunately, a typical Italian dish, spaghetti carbonara, had to be returned twice. It was inedible and it looked bad. The risotto with mussels was nothing special. Rather bad. We did eat the pizzas. The price-quality ratio is not good. In proportion, the prices match the appearance of the restaurant, but the dishes are not prepared with care and do not look nice.

We had dinner here on the 24th with a group, and we were pleasantly surprised! The service is far above average, something you don't often encounter in Helmond. I am really pleased with the risotto with truffle and beef and the fish dish of the day (I don't remember what it was but it was perfect). The wines are also great. The candidates were also more than satisfied and very pleased with the course of the evening. Fresh products, good matching wines and top service, what more could you want! Cheers!

Had dinner here with 4 people on a Wednesday evening. The service is good, the food tasted excellent and looks beautiful. Even though there was plenty of room, it was quite noisy, so we could not always hear each other or the waiter's explanation of the dishes. Perhaps this was due to another noisy table or the service could speak a little louder at the table. Recommended: the chef's surprise menu! Be careful when parking a car, certain parking facilities close early during the week. If you come by bike, there is a bicycle rack in the street less than 50 meters away.

The risotto di manzo is bizarrely delicious

La Bocca Grande offered a mixed experience. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately slow in service. During our visit it was noticeable that the chef and service were constantly talking to each other, which affected the atmosphere. It was also remarkable that the cook constantly ate while cooking and even licked spoons. These eating habits were not hygienic and diminished the overall dining experience. As for the food, we chose pizza but unfortunately the quality was mediocre. The toppings didn't seem fresh, and the overall taste was disappointing. This contributed to an overall disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately only 2 stars because of these negatives.

La Bocca Granda offers exceptionally good food, but the service could be more attentive; empty glasses are often left on the table and you are often thirsty hoping that they will come by again. Unfortunately, the acoustics in the restaurant are poor, causing the music to get lost in the noise, making the experience restless. Highly recommended during the week, but the weekend can be a challenge.

Last weekend we had a delicious meal at La Bocca, nice atmosphere, friendly service. You really get the time to make it a nice evening and the dishes are not served very quickly one after the other. TOP and see you soon.

We waren deze avond met 3 gezinnen met kinderen. Toen het hoofdgerecht werd uitgeserveerd bleven er twee personen achter zonder gerecht. Lasagne vergeten. Gauw in de oven en naar de tafel. De bladen bleken niet gaar. Gerecht teruggegeven. Ons werd een alternatief aangeboden maar dat moest nog wel klaar gemaakt worden . Rest van het gezelschap was al bijna klaar. Dus afgewezen. Toen de rekening kwam bleek er toch 2 maal lasagne op te staan. Dit werd niet gecorrigeerd , want de chef zei dat het wel goed was. Pas toen ik weigerde de gehele rekening te betalen werd de nota gecorrigeerd.

Ik ben met mijn familie en vrienden bij La Bocca Grande gaan eten. Netjes gereserveerd. Bij aankomst ging het allemaal was onpersoonlijk en kort door de bocht. Menu kaarten werden in ons handen gedrukt en wij moesten eerst lang wacht voordat we gevraagd werden of wij iets wilden drinken. Daarna lang moeten wachten op ons drinken. Eenmaal uitgekomen wat wij wilden gaan eten. We hebben gemeld dat wij 3 gangen wilde bestellen en mochten onze keuzes doorgeven. Alles kwam heel laat aan tafel. Verder werden boorden neergezet en dat was het. wij waren nieuwsgierig wat het was maar nee. men had alleen maar tijd om te zeggen dat ons dessert een huisgemaakte tiramisu is. Later toe wij thuis kwamen waren wij echt telerugesteld want wij hebben meer hebben betaald dan de bedoeling was. Wij hebben immers 3 gangen per persoon. en drinken natuurlijk. Drinken klopt helemaal maar eten. Wij hebben meer betaald voor het eten dan we hadden afgesproken. Ik heb besloten om contact te zoeken met de eigenaar. Meteen werd erkent dat mensen in het restaurant fout hebben gemaakt om ons niet juiste te informeren hoe het gaat met 3 gangen diner. Medewerkster ging met de eigenaar in gesprek en komt met een oplossing. Ik krijg 10% korting op mijn volgende rekening. dit is echt geen oplossing. Ik moet verplicht terug komen en dan krijg, ik 10% van mijn rekening vergoed. Ik heb doorgegeven dat dit geen oplossing is gezien ik niet verplicht gesteld wil worden om daar terug te moeten gaan. Na mijn late mailtje geen reactie meer. Het gaat mijn om een goede oplossing maar nu ga ik op mijn principes. Restaurant aanzicht relaxt en ruimte. Service is van laag niveau. Geen smile en opgewekte mensen maar onpersoonlijke sfeer. Je moet te lang wachten op je eten...

I had dinner with my family and friends and ended up paying too much. The employee acknowledges that they made a mistake and the owner comes up with an impersonal solution. I have to come and eat with him to be compensated. After 2 emails and a request to transfer the compensation to my account, no response. Furthermore, this restaurant is really not recommended and wow location. Had to wait too long for food. Everyone just walks around and doesn't even look carefully at where you can offer something to drink. If you have to ask for a drink yourself, you have to wait a long time. I paid over 321 EURO there and regret it. I would rather have gone to the chip shop.

We hebben een overheerlijke risotto en spaghetti met zalm gegeten op prachtig opgemaakte borden. Ook de Pinot Grigio erbij smaakte heel goed. Het toetje van de chef maakte alles compleet.

Wij hebben gisteren heerlijk gegeten bij La Bocca Grande. De gerechten worden mooi opgediend en de hoeveelheid is voldoende. Het restaurant heeft een chique uitstraling. Wat we wel erg jammer vonden, is dat de bediening erg gehaast was. Als we ons bestek even aan de kant legde voor een pauze, kwam er direct iemand naar ons toe om te vragen of ze al mocht afruimen. Dit gebeurde bij het hoofdgerecht en het toetje. De borden lagen nog halfvol. Dit kwam erg vreemd over. Iets over 9 waren we nog even aan het natafelen. Middenin ons gesprek kwam de serveerster vragen of ze onze jassen mocht komen brengen. Met andere woorden: "ga weg". Ik heb dit eerlijk gezegd nog nooit eerder meegemaakt. Qua eten raad ik dit restaurant zeker aan. Als je je graag welkom voelt en in alle rust wilt eten, dan kan je beter elders gaan dineren.

Onze tweede keer samen in dit Italiaans restaurant. Voor iemand die het moeilijk heeft om te gaan met glutenvrij eten, is dit een voedselparadijs. In Italië gezondigd en een gluten pizza gegeten, dus weet hoe passie voor vers en eerlijk eten smaakt. De bediening is attent en alleraardigst, zelf een aangeboden aperitief (ook in glutenvrije versie) was ook heerlijk en werd prachtig gepresenteerd.

Mooi restaurant met uitstekende bediening. Ook was het eten erg lekker, en mooi opgediend. Echter waren de porties van het drie gangen menu erg weinig, ik zat niet vol en dat had wel gemogen voor die prijs. Er is iets ruimte voor verbetering op dat vlak, maar desondanks raad ik iedereen dit restaurant aan.

Generally good food, could have been a 4 or 5 stars, but - 1) poor extraction system, very smelly environment due to that 2) service team was good, but small things like - no salt & pepper on tables, no olive oil on tables 3) we needed to return the salmon as wasn’t fully cooked. Genoten van een 3 gangen filmdiner, heerlijke avond gehad. Vriendelijk personeel en alles perfect verzorgd. Filmkaartjes liggen voor je klaar bij aankomst.

Te duur, te weinig eten, vegetarisch verrassings menu waren gerechten van de kaart

Dit is mijn lievelings restaurant in Helmond. Het eten is puur Italiaans. Wij eten beiden vegetarisch en dit restaurant laat zien dat vis en vlees niet nodig zijn om heerlijke gerechten te kunnen serveren met bijpassende lekkere wijnen.

Ik ben altijd zeer content met la bocca Grande mag hier graag eten. De standaarden zijn hier goed iets waar veel restaurants in te kort komen deze dagen. Goede sfeer en goed vers eten. Ons plekje langs de deur vond ik iets minder is wat onrustig met naar binnen en buiten lopen. Zelf zij onze vriendelijke serveerster al dat de gerechten misschien iets wat snel achter een kwamen dit was wel zo ja misschien vragen of het al uit geserveert mag worden. Hoge tafels vind ok persoonlijk niet zo fijn maar dat is een persoonlijke mening. Verder echt top een heerlijke avond genoten. Alles wat je mag verwachten van een restaurant is hier aanwezig.

Erg leuk Italiaans restaurant: zowel voor een luxer diner als een 'snelle' (en lekkere) pizza ben je hier aan het goede adres!
