La Bohème Boutique Café in Wijk 01 Centrum Zeist

Time for a pit stop on the way home, to hold on to that holiday feeling a little longer. Rave reviews led us to this terrace, with uncomfortable seats along a rather busy street. Excellent cappuccino, served in a wide bowl, which gives a strange mouthfeel while drinking it. The top layer of milk foam cools faster than the rest. The espresso had more water than usual, but was fine. Looking at the menu, we only saw brunch options, so we asked for the croissants. They were all gone. Aha, then we'll go for the American red velvet pancakes and avocado toast! Unfortunately, it's Thursday, so we don't have those. Um... couldn't you have mentioned that when you handed us the menu? Or mentioned it on the menu? And so we set off in search of another lunch...too bad, we apparently chose the wrong day and will never know if those rave reviews about the pancakes are actually justified.

This is something completely different. Must go if you are around.

Over the weekend in Zeist/Netherlands and spontaneously looked for something with my daughter where we could have a delicious breakfast. What can I say, we were not disappointed! It was unbelievably delicious. We ate and drank our way through the menu. Which was a very good decision. ❤️ The owners are super nice and we had a great time. Absolute recommendation! We will be back! We would like to tell you what was the best. But we can't. Do what we do! Simply order everything! Sharing is caring 😎😍.

Such an artsy cafe with many art pieces for sale — ranging from sculptures to marble furniture. The atmosphere felt very zen/calming I really enjoyed reading and eating there. The guy clearly took pride in his work and was friendly too.

Such a gem to sit down for coffee and brunch. We were passing through town and stumbled upon this uniquely designed café that really gives you a relaxed living room vibe. The coffee is of top quality and each beverage is presented tastefully on a platter along with water. The food is made fresh and service is thoughtful with a big smile. Easy 10/10

An experience I would call it 🤩 The eclectic interior, the lunch menu (@this moment they have a limited lunch offer), the home made sweets, the delicious coffee, the relaxing music in the background and the 2 sweetest owners who have an amazing eye for detail & styling and who take such good care of you. The experience of walking into La Boheme boutique cafe is quite unique thanks to eye catching golden and bronze decorations. I personally find the arrangement a bit disorganised so watch out if you are OCD like me. The food quality is good, not exceptional. However I comment the chef here who pays lots of attention to presentation. Each serving regardless food or drink is carefully arranged and presented, making them Instagram worthy. The cafe menu is limited and it is another minus if you are looking for more options. So it is most suitable for brunch and tea sessions.

The coffee here is very tasty. The service is friendly and hospitable. For now it is more of an antique shop where you can drink coffee, than a place to drink coffee where there are antiques.

Best espresso! Super tasty breakfast and dedicated owner. An eye for service. I did wonder whether all those tables were part of the decoration, for us they made us feel a bit like we were moving. Probably a matter of taste and it's also about the food and service.

This cute lunch room goes all out on gold and marble. The lovely couple that runs this place is super friendly and makes sure you have an amazing experience here. The moment you step into this place you can tell how much love went into styling this place. With the same attention to detail they prepare their food and art direct their plates. Their juices were amazing, and I liked their guacamole toast a lot as well. With some minor adjustments they were able to create a vegan version of some of their dishes. By the way, a lot of the furniture here is on sale, as well as the fancy chess boards on display. So have a look!

I went here with my sister because we had an appointment at ArtCastle tattoo opposite this shop around lunchtime. We were attracted by the selection of hot drinks they advertise on a chalk board in front of the door. The food was delicious and the drinks were also very tasty. We had an iced caramel latte, chai latte, cappuccino and latte macchiato. And an acai bowl and red velvet pancakes. All the crockery is really cute. And the atmosphere in the boutique is also pleasant. Definitely recommended if you are in the area!

How I enjoyed the warm-hearted service and the delicious food. There were so many delicious things on the menu that I immediately ordered 3 dishes. And everything was extremely tasty! La Bohème is highly recommended for everyone. If you are/live in Zeist you should definitely not miss it!! When the weather is nice, you can also sit outside on the terrace in the sun ☀️
