The burger was amazing, i’m not sure how to spell her name her name, Mima?, was fantastic and so nice. So were the other waiters and waitresses. I liked the place so much I ate there four or five times.

Wonderful dining experience we had. A family restaurant serving delicious food we had the fille steak burger , schnitzel and pizza all was great. The owner was a real gentleman accommodating and caring for us. For me a must visit in my next trip to Amsterdam.

The food tasted good and arrived quickly. The staff was friendly. However, €5 for a 200ml Coke was not justified. Food was good – value for money, so-so.

It's not a typical Dutch place, but it's nice, with friendly staff and excellent meat.

Had a delicious meal with a friend. Cozy restaurant, fast service, you weren't rushed when it got busier, friendly staff. The burgers were fantastic with delicious fresh ingredients for a great price (€15.95). The burgers don't come with fries as standard; the portions you order with them are very generous (€4.50). One portion would be enough for two people. You can order sauces separately for an additional fee, but it's clearly listed on the menu.

The food itself is not great but not too bad, but be careful for their typical touristic area scam lol. The menu lists only one price for drinks, but they ask you to choose a drink size (S, M, or L) and if you choose other than S size, they charge extra for M and L size without mentioning it. The fries and salad included in the meal comes without any sauce, and the waiter asks if you want sauce. If you say yes, they don’t tell you there’s an extra charge, but it’llbe added on the bill. I’m not sure if this is a Dutch ppl problem or just a common touristic area scam.🤷🏻‍♂️ Also, the entrance door stays open, so the outside wind keeps blowing in and the food gets cold very quickly. Overall, it was a bad experience, tbh. Not visiting again or recommend it to others 🥱😮‍💨

A fantastic find! L.A Burger offers truly delicious burgers, generously topped and bursting with flavor. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is cooked to perfection, and the bun is just the right amount of soft. The service is quick and friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and you can tell everything is made with passion. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

The meat on my burger was unfortunately a bit dry, and the other burger had far too little sauce. For the size, I think the price is a bit too high – fries should really be included. However, the service was very friendly and quick, which improved the overall impression somewhat.

Food was lovely. Service not so great. The waitress that my food in her hand for about five minutes talking to a work colleague. Both my partner and i's fries were freezing. No one checked on us after the food eventually arrived. We were missing sauces etc, when I mentioned this to the waitress she was rude.

I had my food to-go and unfortunately missed my bus, went back to the restaurant and was welcomed back again by the loveliest crew from the restaurant. They allowed me to stay and finish my food with utensils and condiments. The classic bacon cheeseburger was delicious and the french fries were generously given. Would come back again!

I really can't understand the relatively good reviews for this place. The food is extremely dry, both the burgers and the chicken fingers. Furthermore, the service seems like the staff has never done it before. Sitting outside isn't really pleasant either, as the street is far too crowded and noisy.

We went around 2 pm. There were four of us, but only two of us ate. The service was quick, and the food was quite good for the price, especially in Amsterdam. Plus, being French, we had a very nice French waitress, and all the other staff were equally kind.

I was met outside by a fantastic gentleman who made our dining experience fantastic, and the staff inside were equally as good. He promised us that the food would be amazing and I have to say he wasn’t wrong. The fries and burger are some of the best I have ever tasted and the pizza didn’t disappoint either. If you are in Amsterdam give this a try.

Had a great quick lunch before the train here. They were super accommodating to our group of 5, all with luggage. Most of us had the ultimate bacon and cheese burger. And we had a nacho to start. The burgers were definitely the star of the show, as were the sweet potato fries! Would eat here again!

Robbed by maître de! In a shocking end to our meal there today, the host decided to give himself a €20 tip on a €50 bill - knowing we were running for a train and therefore couldn’t stay to sort it out. It’s straight up robbery and you should be ashamed of yourselves. €50 for two burgers is bad enough but to tip yourself 40% on top of it has made our last meal in Amsterdam a truly shitty experience. If you’re reading this - don’t go to this place.

We ate at LA Burger this Friday. What a superb discovery. The English breakfast was delicious, the service was high-quality, friendly, and above all, very attentive. Speaking of attentive, the server asked us how we wanted our food cooked and, most importantly, if we were missing anything. We could see the passion. Thank you for this wonderful experience in a pleasant setting. We recommend it!

Amazing service, incredible food

I visited this restaurant today in the late afternoon and ordered the vegan burger, while my husband had the chicken burger. The food initially seemed fine, but a few hours after eating, I became extremely unwell with vomiting and symptoms of food poisoning. My husband felt fine, so it seems likely something was off with the vegan burger. Really disappointing experience.

L.A. Burger is a lively place near Amsterdam Centraal with great interior that reminds me of American diners. It has variety of choice if you want something tasty and casual. Besides burgers, they also offer steaks, ribs, wood-oven pizzas and many dishes with chicken. The portions were a satisfying size, but the fried chicken looked like it had been cooked in very old oil. Still, it tasted good. I had read many complaints about hidden charges for sauces and similar extras, but we were not charged extra for the sauces. All in all, it is a nice place if you want a quick bite, or a casual meet up with the friends.

The food was very good, but be careful of the drink prices. A small Coke was €4.75 and a small shandy was €6.75. Unfortunately, I didn't see them on the menu, as we only received a set menu. It had started so well, though. We wouldn't go back because the drink prices were just as high. The rest was okay, though.

We went for dinner on September 18th. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was great, the food was served super fast and everything was delicious. We highly recommend it. We ordered nachos, cheese fingers, and burgers, with no complaints.

My wife and I went to Amsterdam for the day. When we arrived we needed breakfast before we started to explore. Came into this place and ordered a nice full brekkie each for €10.99 each added tea and a coffee which wasnt included and was charged €43 total Food wasnt bad, service wass good up to this point.

So, to be honest, the welcome and service are decent, but the problem is the photos of the burgers, which don't match reality at all...! And what's more, they're not burgers with exceptional flavor, far from it. You also have to add to the bill the fries (frozen) that aren't included in the menu, which makes them expensive for not much... Unfortunately, we're tourists, so it's also a game of getting a bit ripped off.

Had the burben burger had very little Berger and was swimming in sauce could hardly pick it up with out covering my self in sauce, staff were not interested in my concern s just gave me more napkins, what to the rest room no water told the staff not interested. And costs 54 euros for two Berger s and chips Bad food, bad service, not value for money got to MacDonalds next door.

The best restaurant in Amsterdam by far. It's a small family business, and it's run really well. They take care of their customers very well. Great location, a walking distance to Amsterdam Central Station and tourist attractions. I would highly recommend it, and I look forward to coming back to visit again.

This particular stretch of road is a hotbed for tourist-friendly eateries, all vying for attention, yet the staff here didn’t just smile for show — they delivered. From the moment I ordered to the moment my food arrived, it was less than 10 minutes. For a burger joint in a busy tourist zone, that’s impressive. Food: I went for the Ultimate Bacon & Cheese Burger with a side of potato fries and a small Orange Juice. Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere — thick, juicy patty, well-seasoned, with smoky bacon and melting cheese wrapping everything together beautifully. The fries were textbook perfection: golden-brown and crunchy outside, pillowy inside. This was comfort food done right. Price: Here’s where reality bites — my meal came to nearly €30, including a 10% tip (optional, but I felt a subtle nudge when the proprietor watched me tap my card). In the city’s more local neighborhoods, I could have enjoyed a similar set for €15–€20. Verdict: If you’re in central Amsterdam and craving a reliably good burger without wanting to hunt around, L.A. Burger is a safe bet. Just be prepared to pay a “tourist location” premium for the convenience.

The place is quite cozy, but the table was so sticky that the napkin stuck to it. I had a small portion of medium Ribeye steak. It was chewy and tasteless. The food of the others was good according to their words, hence the 3 stars.

One of the best places to eat. Best steak pepper sauce. So tender and the schnitzel also was perfect as well as the pizza . Generous quantity and great quality with perfect taste.

We spontaneously stopped by for a bite to eat early in the evening! My companion had spare ribs with fries and a side salad, and I ordered a Philly cheesesteak burger with fries! The food was okay, and we were full! The meat on the burger was tough in places, but it was edible! The food prices were okay considering the location! But the drink prices are really high!

Nice place along the road that leads from the station to DAM square. The offer consists of various dishes that satisfy all tastes. The selection of beers that accompany the courses is also excellent. The seats on the sidewalk remain quiet even during the busiest hours. Excellent kindness and helpfulness of the staff who always tend to make you feel at ease.

Restaurant in prime tourist location, many people are from all over. It is a real pleasure to sit here, have a drink or eat a cake and enjoy this authentic ambience above the canal. Despite the crowd, orders are received quickly by friendly waitresses. Prices typical for a tourist center. There is also a nice toilet.

Extremely poor service and very disappointing food. As a restaurant manager myself, I know what good service looks like, and sadly, this was far from it. From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed disinterested. Most of the waiters were standing around the bar talking amongst themselves, not paying attention to the customers. No one came to check on us once during the entire meal… no “how’s everything?” or “can I get you anything else?”. Just completely absent. My husband ordered a burger without onions, and instead of just removing the onion, they also removed the tomato. Who decided he didn’t want tomato? That kind of carelessness shows a lack of attention and basic communication. The food itself was greasy and low effort. The “loaded potatoes” were basically frozen fries with a handful of unseasoned minced beef thrown on top. They were soggy, bland, and honestly looked like something thrown together without care. Zero taste, zero creativity. When I ordered a Coke, the waiter only offered medium or large, as if small wasn’t even an option. When I asked for a small one, he looked annoyed and made no effort to adjust his attitude. The other waiter served me a burger soaked in sauce, so much that it completely masked the flavor of the meat. And the patty was so overcooked it bordered on dry. A good quality piece of meat ruined by poor execution. We left without leaving a tip. And not because we’re stingy, I usually tip, even for decent service. But this time, I honestly felt it would’ve been undeserved. It’s a shame, because with better training and attention to detail, this place could do much better. I hope management takes this seriously, because right now, both the food and service are way below acceptable standards.
