A very cozy restaurant with delicious Spanish tapas :)

It was very busy and we had to wait a long time for food and drinks, and there were no facilities for kids, which we thought was a real shame.

One of the managers was not really stress-resistant, friendly, or service-oriented; the rest of the staff was fine.

Ate here last night . Unfortunately first restaurant in our NL holidays that super disappointed us so far. Service was slow and chaotic at times . Tapas tasted like all cooked days ago and were reheated - dry and very bland . We had the 37.50e all you can eat Tapas menu but wasn’t anything really that was tasty. I usually love the Spanish omelette for example and it was so dry . Prawns pils pils - usually a firm fav didn’t taste fresh at all. Wine was ok - Pinot Grigio at 31e a bottle but overall food was very blah . Service was slow. We didn’t go for more options even though finished up our food before 10 as it wasn’t great . Wouldn’t recommend .

We visited yesterday with our friends from Lelystad (there are 6 of us). We had a delicious meal. The service was top-notch. Friendly and patient. We changed tables 3 times because the sun on the terrace was too hot. Eventually, they seated us at a table inside. They arranged solutions and yet remained friendly. That is why they get a solid 10 from us. Perfect. La Casita Wassenaar is a top restaurant. Highly recommended. Especially Bo, the waitress, gets a solid 10 from us. They are all sweet and friendly staff. We will definitely come back here. Our friends from Lelystad also definitely want to come again. Kind regards, Maria W.

this restaurant is a total disaster came here for tapas and the food is mediocre with extremely dry meats and food meant to be spicy that's about as spicy as a singular grain of salt it takes about 50 minutes just to get one round of 2 dishes also the staff does absolutely nothing about food outside causing seagulls to be all over tables outside and kids where destroying outside decorations I will definitely not be coming back here if I'm ever nearby again

Nice restaurant, nice terrace. I found the menu quite complicated, and I think the staff felt the same way. The food was pretty good, but the flavors weren't full-bodied; a bit bland. The waitresses were very nice but clearly inexperienced; it seemed as if the manager or owner hadn't given them any extra instructions. During our meal, we were served a draft beer by a young gentleman, but it was just thrust into my hand without him taking the old glass away, not walking around, and not being placed down properly. I don't work in the hospitality industry myself, but I'm allowed to have an opinion: a little etiquette is certainly part of the deal. All in all, still a nice experience and definitely worth it. Furthermore, I would say: be clearer and more flavorful on your menu.

Great food. The white Rioja is very tasty. The crema catalana turned out to be crème brûlée, but that is delicious too.

Unfortunately, the conditions were not optimal. Too bad, beautiful location.

Had a delicious meal "again". Many dishes are even tastier now, but that is a matter of taste😁 Now an even nicer "bigger" terrace with a parasol and heating. It looks very nice! Service top-notch again👍 Until next time.

Very nice to go to for an evening with friends or if you have a fun date.

We had reserved a table (outside) for 3 people for my wife's birthday (May 23, 2026). Upon arrival, the table was broken; this was fixed immediately, which was fine, of course. However, the area under the table was littered with cigarette butts, and the staff didn't notice this before we arrived, during the removal of the table, or afterwards. Just filthy, sorry, I have no other words for it. My first 2 rounds (we had ordered all-inclusive tapas) were not amazing in terms of food, but not terrible either, hence my 3 out of 5 stars for the food. I had been to this restaurant before and didn't really feel the quality/price ratio was right anyway, because we paid 150 euros for this dinner. But well, my mother-in-law wanted to eat outside and my wife got to decide where she wanted to eat, so there was no other option. We made it cozy ourselves, and the staff was otherwise fine; no complaints about that. The layout of the adjacent street is a major blunder by the municipality of Wassenaar, as it has been narrowed and far too many cars and other traffic drive close to the terrace. In short, for me, it is definitely not worth repeating.

The food was really top-notch! We had a delicious meal and there was an incredibly wide selection. The pork belly, in particular, was truly fantastic; we would order that again in a heartbeat. We sat at the bar, which is a fine spot in itself. You often expect faster and more attentive service at a bar, but unfortunately, that was not the case at all. We constantly had to ask for drinks or pass on orders ourselves, and used tapas plates were left standing for a long time instead of being cleared regularly. We also received hardly any explanation, and parts of the concept weren't even mentioned. Of course, those kinds of things can happen and are manageable in themselves, but the service just felt very sloppy and uninterested because of it. However, what we found truly disturbing was the behavior of the staff. Apparently, there was a gathering point for employees behind our table, and we were constantly subjected to conversations, gossip, and "dirty laundry." That completely ruins the atmosphere when you are out for dinner together. I am not going to share exactly what was discussed here, of course, but it was absolutely not professional or polite. We finally got to spend an evening out together without our young children, but unfortunately, due to the poor service and the atmosphere at the bar, it wasn't romantic at all 😅 However, compliments to the man behind the bar who made all the drinks. He worked his socks off.) We would definitely come back for the food, because that was truly delicious. But unfortunately, the service was simply substandard.

We ate here for the second time during a weekend getaway to Duinrell. Super again. Friendly staff and delicious food and drinks. The space is a bit limited, so it is set up a bit cramped.

It was a Christmas package and it was super from start to finish, fast service and delicious. Eaten 15-3-2026 still delicious food, only the waiting times between orders were quite long this time, which was a bit less pleasant than the last time.

What a wonderful evening we had yesterday! From the moment we entered, the restaurant exuded tranquility and class: a sleek, uncluttered interior that immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. Our "personal" waiter made the evening complete – incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, exactly as you'd hope. The food was truly delicious, and the great thing is that you were given all the time you needed to enjoy it. No rush, just relaxed dining and savoring every course. Parking in the Luifelbaan parking garage is also easy, so that's perfectly arranged. In short: highly recommended for a pleasant and delicious evening out!

An overpriced Christmas menu, the appetizer platter was okay, the soup was way too salty, and the tapas we ordered were of mediocre quality, as were the desserts. The service was poor; the used crockery and cutlery were only replaced after insisting. Unfortunately, not recommended.

The food is fine but nothing special. The service is friendly and efficient. The decor is very cozy, but you do sit quite close to other guests. Tables are close together.

Had a lovely dinner. The atmosphere is great, as is the table service. The appetizers are generally delicious, but that varies depending on the tapas you choose (I really didn't like the fried chicken schnitzel). One major drawback, in my opinion, was that my (elderly) parents-in-law wanted to redeem a gift card at checkout, but they reported this immediately after using their debit card. This wasn't possible, and the card was no longer accepted. It's certainly not a bad idea to go back, but I can't imagine how customer service could/should be more efficient in these situations. Personally, I'd rather make the choice to go back myself than be "enlightened" because the gift card wasn't accepted!

It's just a great tapas restaurant. The price is very reasonable.

Had a lovely meal, but found the acoustics a bit difficult

The food was excellent again. So delicious. This time, the staff spent more time chatting with the four of them at the bar than clearing tables. It was quite busy, and they were very friendly, but not very attentive. The food made up for everything! All in all, a restaurant to recommend! If you want delicious tapas, this is highly recommended!

We've been here four times now and each time, we find it gets a bit worse, both in terms of food and service. The last time was on a Sunday afternoon. Orders were taken quickly, as was the serving of the first round, but after that, we didn't see anyone else. Our oven dish was overcooked and too dark, and the egg dish wasn't quite cooked through. So, we finally went inside to pay. Our first drink had already been gone for half an hour. It's a shame, because the place is nice, but we'll be looking for another tapas restaurant.

We went here last month with four people and opted for the tapas. The food was good. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was cozy, which partly depends on the company you're with, of course. In short, we had a delicious meal and a pleasant evening. Worth repeating, because: I'll be back next week, but with my stepdaughter :)

De tafels niet goed schoongemaakt..met vogelpoep. We gingen als Spaanse mensen met veel kennis van het Spaanse eten. De tabla mixta met een 2 stukjes brood terwijl we met 4 personen waren en moesten een mandje bijbestellen. chorizo uit een pakje van de supermarkt . De fagitas mixtas staan geniteerd op de kaart en worden geserveerd met een beetje sla spinazi kaas en niet te eten. De bediening is niet attent en lopen kauwend op eten rond. De pulpo wordt pizza saus geserveerd wat zo niet wordt bereid. De glazen staan leeg en er wordt niet op gelet ... Voor de prijs die je betaald is dit Slecht en zeker niet hoe ze in Spanje tapas severen. Het is bier is warm. De kok is Italiaans (schijnt) en geen idee hoe hij gerechten moet maken. Nooit meer!!!!!

The only good thing about this restaurant is its location. It's really annoying that they use the "Tapas" claim when they don't even know what they are, much less how to prepare them... Galician-style octopus with pizza sauce? A mixed platter of supermarket cold cuts, with no presentation (just like it comes out of the package) with two slices of bread for four. You ask for bread on the side and they charge you €5.50. A children's burger, which we returned whole because the meat tasted rancid. "Mixed FAJITAS" is what the menu said, and there are no fajitas at all. Tuna, tomato, arugula, ham (a strange mix and, of course, cold). The tapas are small for the price. Well, and so on... Totally disappointed. Maybe some will be fooled and go away saying they ate Spanish tapas, but a Spaniard like me certainly won't enjoy the experience. Not recommended.

We have visited this restaurant every Saturday early afternoon for tapas for over a year. Over the last two weeks the food, service and hygiene has deteriorated. Tapas not delivered, yet billed. Dirty plates and cutlery. Such a pity

Been our favourite for a long time, but over the past weeks it's going wrong, grimy plates, inconsistent food and dropping service levels???

Always have great time going there. Alone, with family or friends it would be the right place to go. Recommend to take a menu rather then selecting dishes, 'cause after 2-3 you'd anyway come to that option. The waiters are all young, quick and friendly. The atmosphere is as you wish to have, both inside or outside. The parking is just under it (no noise).

Vrijdagavond 21 februari gegeten bij la casita Wassenaar. Wat een heerlijkheid, van de bediening tot het toetje aan toe een feestje. Wij wilden a la carte eten omdat we niet zoveel honger hadden. Geen probleem. Alle gerechten waren zeer smaakvol en voldoende. De bediening was heel aardig en behulpzaam, alles was mogelijk. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug, al is dat helemaal uit Volendam.

Had dinner at la casita Wassenaar on Friday evening, February 21. What a treat, from the service to the dessert, a party. We wanted to eat a la carte because we weren't that hungry. No problem. All dishes were very tasty and sufficient. The service was very nice and helpful, everything was possible. We will definitely come back, even if all the way from Volendam.

We love those tapas restaurants. So I tried La Casita once. We heard good things about it. We were there on a Monday evening and found the building still quite busy. We went for the unlimited tapas meal. Once inside, we found the atmosphere quite pleasant and casual. After thoroughly examining the menu, I thought the choice of hot meat dishes was special and that's what they were. Also in terms of taste and preparation. No... It didn't make me excited. In our opinion, the hot and cold starters were freshly prepared and excellent. The desserts are also cleverly chosen, tasty and unlimited. We thought the latter was a plus. The waiting time between the dishes was quite long... But of course it could have something to do with the day. All in all... My tip is to look carefully at all the dishes before you choose to eat there. Parking is fine there. With disc until 6pm, then free.

Ate here with my sister, in one word, fantastic, good atmosphere and the dishes are delicious. For me, the spare ribs and the parfait with orange and 43 Licor were the highlights. Immediately made a new appointment.

We ate in here last month for my birthday, we had our 3 young girls with us aged 7,3 and 1. Upon entering the place was lovely and immaculate. The service was of a very high standard throughout. We went for unlimited tapas, I have to say it’s genuinely one of the best tapas places we have eaten in, and we have eaten in lots all over the world. Pretty much every dish was just as amazing as the next. We sampled quite a lot of the dishes and we couldn’t pick a favourite. Lots of food for the kids to eat too and they of course loved the dessert where they got a surprise with theirs. We have been to Duinrell many times, my only regret is not finding this place before. We will 100% eat in here next time we visit Duinrell next year atsome points

You can make your own tapas menu! Coctails are delicious and filling. Ambiance is very nice, people are friendly and food is delicious. Highly recommended!

Hier de lunch gebruikt op het terras. Even voorbij de winkelstraat waar de terrassen voller zaten maar dat kwam ons goed uit. hadden niet zoveel tijd. Vriendelijk en snelle bediening en het smaakte ook goed. Leuk ruim terras en binnen zag het er ook prima uit. Volgnde keer de tapa maar proberen.

Eating unlimited tapas sounds good, but because of those large portions, eating tapas quickly becomes limited. I would like slightly smaller portions for some dishes so that you can taste more. They left many empty plates, glasses and unnecessary items on the table. When we turned the light on red we had to wait quite a long time until they came to record.
