Pavilion 'de Klip' in Wijk 01 Noordoostelijk deel der gemeente

Since we started visiting De Klip in Wassenaar this summer, we have been enthusiastic every time. Always friendly, excellent service, and a reasonable price to boot. The terrace is actually always pleasantly busy, but if you want a seat, a solution is always found. You can tell that the people here are hardworking and genuinely want to ensure guests have a good time. And yes, if things sometimes take a little longer or something doesn't go quite right, as a guest you simply accept it. No problem! A lovely place with a good atmosphere and, above all, incredibly nice people. We love coming here! 😊

I’ve been driving past here for years, but finally visited today. Nice spot, great playground for the kids, incredibly friendly staff, and great food. A nice discovery!

I stopped by again briefly today. It got busier immediately after me. I came for two cappuccinos and an apple pie with whipped cream, and it was delicious.

I received help immediately and without any hesitation in a difficult situation! What happened? I was out riding my bike when I suddenly got a flat tire. It was just a small hole and the air was leaking out slowly, but I couldn't make it back on my own. At “de KLIP,” someone immediately offered me a pump. When I asked if I could borrow it to ride home, they agreed! So, with a few pumps here and there, I was able to make it home with the rag. Once there, I got in my car and brought the pump back to de KLIP. They were incredibly helpful, and it was a great solution for me. Thank you so much for the tremendous support :-)

Ate here today, the food was tasty and the staff was friendly. Parking is also easy right in front of the door.

The staff (at the takeaway) speak and understand Dutch poorly. The fries were decent, could be a bit crispier. What I found gross: herbs on the fries instead of salt. A shame, because I used to think De Klip was one of the best chip shops in the neighborhood :-)

This place is lovely for taking a break from your journey. Shady under the trees. The terrace is spacious and also features a large playground for children. The menu offers many choices. The staff is very friendly. Service is fast and efficient.

Unfortunately, today was a total disappointment. The fries weren't crispy at all, but soft and soggy. The veal croquette was also different than usual and not very tasty. The service was friendly, but the kitchen staff seemed overwhelmed. One employee repeatedly licked her fingers and then continued preparing the dishes. I'm sorry, but that's unacceptable. We were very satisfied with our last visit and were so happy that De Klip had reopened. After today's experience, we won't be eating there again for the time being. What a shame!

After a day at Wassenaar beach, we ended up at Paviljoen de Klip. Lovely under the trees in the shade. We ordered the loaded fries with a meatball and they were fine. The crunchy chicken with fries was good too. Not a culinary masterpiece, but just good. Everything was on the table nice and fast thanks to good service. I think I'll eat there again on my way home.

The apart restaurant was served by someone who could NOT speak Dutch and had half of our order wrong.

This new owner really knows what they're doing and has made it cozy. The food and service are also great!

The setting is beautiful, the waitresses are nice and attentive, and it is reasonably priced. A lovely stop if you are out for a bike ride!

What friendly and courteous service! We felt welcome, even with the dog. The tables were clean. The fries were deliciously seasoned. Portions are not very generous.

Nowhere is there a place so relaxing, among the trees, close to the sea. The food deserves a solid 10 stars! The satay platter is the best in the Netherlands! Value for money is also a solid 10! I would say go there, have something to eat, have a beer or wine afterwards... and enjoy the surroundings and the great atmosphere!

Great place to grab a nice meal at reasonable prices. It's simply good there.

Came with a friend and we had a bite to eat for dinner. The place offers the typical Dutch snacks but as well menus. The service is friendly. There is options to sit inside but there is also an large seating area outside with some things for the kids to play. There is free parking infront of the restaurant. I recommend and I will come back.

Super delicious food and a very cozy atmosphere, highly recommended. Even during the coronavirus pandemic, we, as unvaccinated people, were welcome and didn't feel discriminated against at all, unlike many others. A dedicated line for every customer, with a way to make everyone feel welcome, perfectly organized. Went to De Takeover for the first time again, and it was fantastic. Definitely recommended.

Cozy place, nice staff, plenty of parking and tasty sandwiches.

My wife and I had a great meal there. The service is quick and friendly, and you can sit comfortably inside. Or, if the weather is nice, sit outside. Children are also catered for, with a playground. Everything looks fresh, just as it should. They're in a very convenient location for walkers and cyclists. Or, you can just pop in from Hotel Duinoord. You can also order and pick it up; it's highly recommended. 👌

Enjoyed delicious coffee and lunch. Inside, the atmosphere is pleasant, accessible to everyone, and the welcome is warm. The terrace is also inviting when the weather is a bit warmer. The location is on a main walking/cycling route, so it's perfect for a relaxing break.

A lovely place at the bottom of the dune near Wassenaarseslag. I've been here for years. It was closed for a while, but now it's open again under a new owner. The friendly, helpful, and attentive ladies helped me with a delicious croquette sandwich. A pleasant and convenient stop during my bike ride.

The new owners, Daan and Kim, and their staff make you feel very welcome. Both the patio and the interior have been renovated. Everything looks great and is kept clean and tidy. You can order sandwiches, snacks, and pastries, as well as delicious soft serve ice cream, and the whipped cream is "the real thing" and doesn't sagged. Daan and Kim, good luck with your new business. We always enjoy stopping by after a walk, bike ride, or day at the beach.

It's turned out really nice here. Easy parking, for cars, bikes, and motorcycles. Cozy terrace, and the interior looks great too. Restrooms are available. Friendly service, and everything on the menu, from pastries to meatballs and more, is delicious. It's a lovely place, we'll be back soon.

Open again after a year, and what a treat! The owner was super friendly, and I had some truly delicious fries after a great day at the beach. The Klip is just how I always knew it, but perhaps even better.

Recently reopened with new hosts, Daan and Kim. Upon arrival, we received a warm and welcoming welcome. The atmosphere was very cozy, and the staff were friendly. The food and drinks were excellent! Highly recommended for a bite to eat and a drink.

After a year, De Klip is open again. New owner! Congratulations and best of luck with the launch. The food is fantastic. The menu is still temporary, but it tastes delicious and the service is great.

Ever since I was a child, over 60 years ago, this has been a wonderful place to relax after a day at the beach or a bike ride for a drink and a bite to eat. Meanwhile, the kids can play under the trees. Excellent value for money, and the snacks are delicious!

The new staff is different and you cannot order many dishes because the ingredients are not present

Onyl went for some beers. Did "large" drinks like pints of Heineken. Kids used the playground stuff. Nice setting. Friendly staff. Would go again.

Yesterday evening we wanted to have a nice meal with our family (2 adults, 2 kids) and Grandpa and Grandma. When we arrived at 18:15 we sat down and looked at the menu to see what we wanted to order. After waiting for 15 minutes, no one from the service had come yet, so I went inside to order myself (I thought), then I was told that the kitchen was closed... at 6:30 while it says that the kitchen would be open until 7 o'clock. Very strange and very unfortunate. So really NOT recommended!!!

Is there a new owner? Been coming there for 20 years.... but on Sunday I was treated so rudely/antisocially by a young man. Apparently it was difficult to say please and enjoy your meal. Frustrated man. Do not feel like working? Then stay home. Klippie maybe someday, but not anymore.

Friendly staff. Were very patient with the probable introduction of a new force. Nice meal. Only the appearance is a bit old-fashioned. You can get a nice fries and sit in the shade on the terrace.

Just a pit stop, it took 15 minutes before someone came out to take the order. Reasonable prices for sandwiches. Soft drinks from €3.50 Friendly staff.

A chef with dirty hands and an even dirtier cloth on his hip with which dirt is quickly wiped away and a pitifully small Large Fries for 5 euros. To skip!
