Yesterday I ordered three BLT Bagels to go. I've never had such a disgusting BLT. Cold bagel, bacon that was way too thick, two half slices of tomato, and one lettuce leaf. I think the dressing was just mayo. How dare you serve that? Absolutely disgraceful!

Since being taken over, the place has become scruffy and messy. Service was bad, the impression being they are doing me a favour by serving me. Food is expensive, tried to buy some bagels, they wanted 2.99 per bagel! Won't be going back.

The bread was really hard to cut through and the overall taste wasn't too flavourful and quite dry. The bagels are a bit tiny and aren't worth their price, especially if served without anything on the side.

Delicious bagels with every topping you can imagine: goat cheese, avocado, egg & bacon, vegetables, cheese, sweets, and so on. The pancakes with Nutella to finish were amazing. The service is friendly, and there are umbrellas and comfortable sofas outside. All in all, great and a great place for breakfast. There were four of us and we paid €56 for everything, including fresh orange juice, a latte macchiato, and chocolate milk. Totally reasonable for the quality! I highly recommend it!

I ordered a gluten-free bagel, but when I received it, the bun was dry and hard, and I couldn't swallow it. Definitely not recommended for gluten-free meals. When I returned it, I felt they resented me for returning the disgusting bun. They offered a gluten-free bagel, which isn't ideal, of course.

A little expensive for a bagel but very popular with young people. Very pleasant location in the heart of Wassenaar.

An almost deserted place on a rainy Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m. Order at the counter. The employee who entered the order into the system was not customer-oriented/friendly at all. The bagels ultimately ordered were not fresh/rock hard. So hard that even a knife couldn't get through. Sweeping and cleaning the place when there are still guests and it is well before closing time unfortunately does not give the ultimate feeling of hospitality. An incidental “bad luck experience”? Maybe give the benefit of the doubt and go for a retake later at an earlier time in the day?...

Honestly I was surprised by bagel alley today, I came by to get 1 bagel and it took 15 minutes if not more to make it. Normally I would be fine with the time but the food was lacking as well. The box was full of cream cheese and it lacked the onions. The bagel bun was rock hard and the salmon was definitely not good quality.

While visiting family, we stopped at Bagel Alley for some lunch. Everything was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. Anyone in the area should stop by and get a great bite to eat!

Ate here for a late lunch, bagels were ok but over priced for what you got. Can away feeling gipped of what we had for the price and quaility.

We just came away from this place feeling a bit scammed. We ordered coffees without stipulating the size, and we were served large coffees. We ordered hot chocolate without cream and they came with cream on. Then the bill was rounded up to the nearest 5 cents despite paying with a card. The drinks were fine but it just seems like they use any scam in the book to charge you more than you expected. We won't be returning.

Total disappointment, especially the food: the American pancakes were small and certainly not 'fluffy', a few were even hard. The bagel lovelessly sliced ​​and tomato and avocado thrown together. Not worth the high amounts. We showed it and got some of our money back. Staff seemed disinterested and felt a bit like they were dragging their feet. Like you're disturbing them with something. And while you have to go inside to order and pay. They have a nice spot on and around the square, but I can't imagine they still get 5 stars. I won't be going there again for a while.

Beer in a bottle, 0.25cc instead of 0.33cc Price €4.75 is ridiculous and yes you have to go in yourself to place the order.

Order inside, where two ladies are chatting behind the bar. There's no one inside. Direct pay. Order is delivered. Dirty tables with used crockery and glasses, even though it really wasn't busy. Bad service, quite expensive!

Bagels are okay, the homemade cakes are fantastic. The homemade cakes are delicious. Not dry at all and yet airy. The Oreo and Red Velvet are both recommended. Next time I'll try a carrot cake. The iced coffees were also great! What I don't like about bagels has to do with the bagel itself. The toppings were great, but the bagels themselves were on the chewy side. I don't know if I've had bad luck twice with a tough bagel, but I thought it was a shame. Furthermore, a nice business in a nice location with friendly staff.

Good breakfast here although it was a little expensive for what it was, I think this is because the area is very touristy. I had the bagel capriccio which was simply amazing (sliced cheese would’ve improved it though). Bacon and egg bagels also nice, fresh orange juice was impressive too. Service was good, english was spoken which made it easy for us, no soap in the toilets however which is gross.

When I pay $10 for a bagel, I don't want a factory-baked, chewy bagel the size of a donut filled with 3 fingers' worth of ingredients. Such businesses need to understand that their philosophy of running a business is long outdated

Bad! Had scones with cappuccino today, what a disappointment. You had to go inside to place the order and pay immediately, very strange. There was also a tip jar. For what exactly? You must first earn a tip for the service and quality. The scones 2 pieces with jam and cream for only ……..€8.95? How did you get this price? The scones were terrible: warm bread from the microwave. It was inedible. I left it. The cappuccino with foot bath was also bad. Just practice making real cappuccino. Too bad and a waste of money. Not goodbye.

Picked up a legendary bagel today and a large orange juice with banana for 16.45 eu. The bagel was very minimally topped with some roast beef, a little mayo and a stray pine nut. It's really not possible and then charge 10.50 for this bagel.

No words, table dirty. The table wasn't cleared and cleaned in 15 minutes. The employees stood inside and chatted. We couldn't order anything there. It's a shame 1 star is still too much.

I paid 10 euros for a small bagel, with 3 small pieces of chicken (which were not fresh), 1/4 of an avocado. Everywhere, for 10 euros you expect more food. Service was good, but I don't recommend it. It wasn't enough as far as a meal goes.

Disappointing. Small bagels that cannot be cut with dull knives without your plate sliding across the table. Bagels not topped in accordance with the menu, for example the lack of pine nuts in the goat cheese bagel, very basic. The scrambled eggs bagel was just that, barely any garnish. Paid expensive for what you ultimately get served. There is seating outside, unfortunately with grubby cushions, table had not been cleaned. The sun blinds are half gone, just like the hanging plants inside. No friendly service, not a smile in sight. There are plenty of alternatives in the area! Adieu!

As much as I love their carrot cake; this place isn’t what it used to be anymore. I feel the (chewy) bagels are highly overpriced, but what really is dismaying is the staff. Staff were apathetic and disinterested during my order. I really expected better customer service in a very American induced bakery. The place was literally icy cold! The heating is off in the winter and when we asked the staff if it could be turned on, they never came back to either turn it on or mention something about it. Not classy behaviour. The place is kinda falling apart, even the doorknob of the entrance door was loose and constantly kept dropping off its handle!

I ordered cake online and received confirmation, but unfortunately my order was not ready. I haven't really heard any excuses, just a bit between the nose and the lips “something”. But okay then ordered again, in the store. I come to pick up my cake the next day and at the cash register I am charged 5 euros more than the price stated on the site. So instead of compensation (discount, voucher, cup of coffee to go, whatever) for a mistake made by Bagel Alley, I am penalized with a higher price. And all that on my birthday. This is really a shame, BagelAlley, I'm used to something different from you. Cake was tasty.

I used to have regular coffee or lunch, but now back again after years. What a disappointment, (other tables/chairs?) Hard wooden simple chairs and tables, there was also a lack of atmosphere, that the staff laughed very hard with friends all afternoon? keeping busy was already disturbing. But no sense of service whatsoever. If the food or coffee was still good... The coffee was much too strong for a cappuccino, the bagels were ''heavy'' compact, soggy, topped with some kind of pink chicken fillet/slices? Ice cold iceberg lettuce and some tomato. And all that for 20 Euro....!! Never again

Coffee, tea, smoothies, there is something for everyone. It has been a trusted place for a nice cup of coffee or tea (or fruit juice and smoothies) for many years now. In the pleasant center of Wassenaar.

What a crappy tent! Bad service! Ordered a bagel with scrambled eggs and bacon with a latte. Bagel was super greasy, scrambled eggs had bits of dust in them! Really a NO GO!! The bill stated 2 x 0.50 cents extra for my two halves of a bagel??? Doesn't it say on the menu that you have to pay extra for your bagel separately and double that because it has been cut in half??? The price of the dish was already high (almost 8 euros), now 9 euros. I ordered a glass of water with my latte, which was also on the bill. On the couch where I was sitting there was a broken sugar bag and loose sugar everywhere. Nobody cleaned this up. Staff is anything but customer-oriented. The menu also shows two sizes of lattes, but they don't even exist. I just got the most expensive one. I reported my dissatisfaction, but nothing was done about it. Very sorry!!

Very pleased with our food. The fresh-squeezed Skin Booster juice was perfect with the GF muffin I had. Family was happy with the hot chocolate with whipped cream, tuna melt on a bagel, cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese, coffee, and oatmeal raisin cookie. Nice that they offer detox water complimentary at the counter to self-serve. Lots of locals frequenting the place.

It is no longer the way it was, quality has gone down and the price has gone up.

Always friendly staff. The cakes are delicious and rich. When the weather is nice, their terrace is very nice and can be seen by many shoppers. Of course you can also sit inside.

Picked up a salmon bagel, really super small size and for €7. Really not possible. The girl behind the counter also looked at me askance...

Disappointed with the bagels as they came very super chewy and cold. No one at counter asked if i wanted them warm which i thought was the default choice. Also, one of the service staff just pushed my toddler accidentally but just walked on without saying sorry or a smile to the kid too.

It was ok. But not special. Tables were not cleared. Only found out after 15 minutes that we had to order inside. Received dirty sticky glasses with the can of drinks. And one of the four bagels was wrong. They resolved it nicely.

Bagels are okay -- honestly, very average. A lot of people go there because they are the only game in town for bagels. Customer service is non-existent and you always feel like you're imposing on them by placing an order. Today, the rudeness was the last straw and they have lost my business. I would recommend going elsewhere where your business is appreciated.

This is the place to go if you’re craving fresh bagels, whether simple with some cream cheese or over-the-top like the Mexican (chicken, cheddar cheese, avocados, tomatoes, tortilla chips, salsa - yum!). We also had a slice of Oreo cake which didn’t disappoint. Friendly service and great food - highly recommend!
