The best spare ribs, and a generous portion! Huge compliments to the kitchen and staff. The atmosphere inside is very cozy, and you feel like you've been transported back in time.

Unfortunately, I was a bit sick. But despite that, I ate well. The children's meal was enough for me. But regular dishes were also good and more than enough. And everyone at our table enjoyed it!

The waitress who served us was quite rude. We sat at a table, and she told us it was reserved even though there was no reservation sign. Later, we moved to another spot, and she didn’t even come to ask what we wanted or bring us the menu. There were four of us, and the best decision was to leave and go to another restaurant.

We happened to be nearby and were hungry, and what can I say? They did everything right. Decently large and tasty portions, and friendly and attentive staff. A visit is definitely worth it.

Spareribs are super delicious and portions are really big. The atmosphere is the best inside, loved the historical vibes filled with antiques

The food is good but overpriced for what you get. For example, vegetables with honey vegetable sauce, one scoop of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, and a tiny dash of eggnog for 10.50. The price-quality ratio is disproportionate. The staff doesn't greet you when you leave, even though they're just standing at the bar, etc. The restaurant itself is nice.

Nice restaurant! Delicious food, and friendly service. Had big spareribs. We will definitely come back here.

Delicious food with funny menu names. And the neighbor's cat came to snooze around the tables. After a day at Duinrell, this was a wonderful choice to eat. Only we were a bit forgotten by the service in the beginning. When we were there it was nice and quiet Recommended this!

Me and my son had dinner in this restaurant after a day at Duinrell. My son had the wiener schnitzel and I had the spare ribs. For dessert my son had the tiramisu. What a fantastic end to the day! We had a delicious meal and the staff is friendly. The bill was more affordable than expected and we left here with a well-filled tripe. I will eat here more often!

I've been here twice now and the service is attentive, fast and very friendly. So far I've only had the tasty beers and snacks, but I'll definitely eat there sometime.

We spontaneously got a table for 7 people. The waiters were very nice and tried hard. We had spare ribs and schnitzel. Both were extremely tasty and the portions were also sufficient. The ambience was also very good. Very good restaurant near the Duinrell theme park.

Brown wooden interior. Small presses on the table. Old-fashioned frills: Clearly no effort has been spared here to make it cozy, cosy, outlandishly Dutch! Obviously: PAL versus a whopper of a retirement home: "Success guaranteed!" One star less because the meat did not "fall off" the rib-eyes (as it should!)

There is no lack of service and atmosphere, it has become much more spacious after renovations in 2020(?). The food does need improvement. With a meat mix, a preheated plate is desirable, unfortunately the chicken was of b-quality, the warm mixed vegetables had little taste and lacked aroma. The rest of the food was good.

Small restaurant a stone's throw from Duinrell. Welcome received by friendly staff. The food was not all special. The spare ribs were made spicy by throwing a lot of chili sauce over them, which gave them a slightly soupy appearance. Mixed grill was fine, but nothing special. The chicken satay was good and the children's menu as always.

Delicious food, tasty Texel Weizen. The liver was perfect. Reservations via the site are very easy and recommended. one comment/comment, you have to be tall to use the urinal but the rest is perfect.

Best spareribs I've had in a while. The sole is great. So is the grilled half chicken. The asperagus soup was fresh and really nice. Strudel for dessert. Perfect bistro food.

Nice restaurant with beautiful authentic interior. The staff is super friendly and is certainly up for a joke. The food was also very tasty, I ordered a steak and it was incredibly tender and just the right cooking. All in all, definitely a restaurant to recommend!!

Delicious food and good service.

Only had a cup of coffee to shelter from the rain, leaving my scarf behind, but a phone call later when I was right and they sent it by post! Really great! Next time I'll stay for dinner ;)

Very cozy inn, friendly service and delicious food. Ideal ending for our midweek in Duinrell.

Tasty schnitzel, unfortunately we found the spare ribs to have less flavor (maybe a little too oily?). Mushroom gratin is good, just too many mushrooms so keep that in mind or eat half (which is a shame). Furthermore, good and fast service and a very warm, authentic atmosphere. We will come back again!

Just had dinner with 9 people at the 't Hoekje inn. With my family, my brother's family and with our parents. We ended up at this restaurant because we stayed at Duinrell for a midweek. The restaurant has a nice old-fashioned atmosphere, the staff is super friendly and provides very good service. The food was also really tasty from spare ribs to steak to fish. All tasty, lots of it and not expensive! And the staff gave my parents a nice treat for their 50th wedding anniversary. If we lived closer we would like to come here more often. Highly recommended for people staying at Duinrell for a few days.

If you want to eat here you should reserve a table as it is always full here. The food is very tasty and you receive friendly service, but you also pay a corresponding price for it. The salmon and the fillet skewer could have been a little more. However, with most skin dishes you also get a large portion of fries and a mixed salad. The interior is very cozy.

The chickens are of heavenly quality.

We had to share 1 bowl of fries and salad between 4 adults with our steak meal. They reluctantly brought out another bowl of fries when we complained. I would expect for the price not to have to share. They also forgot to bring out 1 of the children’s meal. Service very slow.

Eating together with your partner and child. The weather was nice so we sat on the terrace. The spareribs are recommended, although I will not order a large portion in the future, it was just too much for me (a good eater). The mussels are also recommended.

Shortly before I ended up here I had a bad (racist) experience. My kids had to eat so I thought I'd try another restaurant. Staff was very friendly. Top service. Delicious food. I will definitely go again and recommend to friends and clientele. Keep it up!!

Ate here for the first time. And how delicious it was. Nice atmosphere, nice and quick service. Very authentic, so you can see the history of the almost 150-year-old building everywhere. Definitely a place we will come back to.

The people and the venue were great. There really is nothing to complain about. It was a bit striking that the vegetarian dishes (18.50) were clearly worth less than the meat and fish dishes. You got 75 percent lettuce and the rest was frozen quiche.... For that price it was really disappointing.

Spareribs had a good taste, but the last time they were a bit on the dry side and they did not all come off the bone properly. Been here before, the food was worth 5 stars, this time 3 stars, because it was still tasty and the fries were also good. Service is top notch and there is a pleasant atmosphere.

Great cuisine and very nice location. The service is extremely nice and we had a nice chat with the staff. Near Duinrell Park. It's worth a visit. We were there twice in 5 days. The steak was so tender and the schnitzel was great too! Price-performance ratio also fits!!!

Revisited this excellent restaurant after 8 years! My son now 17 remembered the ribs and was happy to holiday with his parents on one condition, Herberg 't Hoelie ribs. How right he was. As good as last time. Would recommend you book, we did and were not disappointed. Thank you. We'll see you again sometime.

We were there twice in one week when visiting the Duinrell campsite. You feel so good here, you've rarely experienced such nice service. And the food is amazing. If you're on vacation here, you have to go here. Thank you for the 2 lovely evenings :-)

Delicious food after the performance of Soldaat van Oranje. We had also eaten here more than 8 years ago, but it was still excellent. Cozy restaurant and very friendly service. Two of the four of us ordered mustard soup, but it was not that hot. After we indicated this, all 4 of us received a free extra drink as compensation, very thoughtful!! All 4 of us had a delicious meal and for an affordable price.

A restaurant that represents the town Wassenaar well. Very nice old decorations. We ate well there, the smell of the dishes is attractive. We enjoyed a ribs (medium size) for €23 but with 3 good pieces, fries and a beer. Don't hesitate if you're sleeping in the area. The waiter was friendly and smiling, he made the effort to speak French which was appreciated. THANKS :)

Beautiful traditional building with a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Can recommend the Spicy Chicken 🍗 will definitely visit again on my next trip

Nothing wrong with this eatery, proud of its long existence. Looks a bit old English. Attentive service, delicious food, and takeaway also possible. Changing 'weekly snack'. Parking in front of the door.

When we are in Wassenaar, we always like to eat there. The food is excellent and the price-performance ratio is right. The spear ribs are highly recommended. We always enjoy coming here.

Arrive after a museum visit without a reservation. A friendly welcome and a delicious meal for a very reasonable price. You feel and see the almost 150-year history of 't Hoekje all around you. The atmosphere is warm and the service friendly. We will definitely stop here again when we are in the area.

As a main we had a stake that came with mushrooms, onion, bacon stips and fries. Especially with regards to the price they offer a lot! Service was fine and we could find a place with a bit of privacy. Not the place to make the extra miles for but when you are in the are and want simple and enough food; go for it!

Nice meal. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. After a bad experience with Duinrell Plaza, I looked for a restaurant nearby. Ended up at Het Hoekje which is actually almost around the corner from Duinrell. Highly recommended.

It wasn't tasty. The spare ribs were simply covered with a ready-made sweet and sour sauce. The fries didn't taste good either. Old fat...

Friendly, friendly service! Food (steak, seafood and ribs) were delicious, but the mixed vegetables tasted like they were frozen veggies. Desert, coffees and drinks great too. Nice cozy atmosphere, sitting outside on a pleasant evening. Highly recommend!
