The food was delicious and well-prepared. The bill was also reasonable! I was quite bothered by the table next to me. My hearing loss is undoubtedly to blame.

Outside on the terrace. A table by the window was already set for ten people. The service was friendly and attentive (with extra attention for the grandchildren), as usual. It took some getting used to the new terrace layout, with cyclists and the infamous fat bikes right next to it. Liens can't do anything about this layout. It's municipal policy!

The entire patio stinks of cigarette smoke. Only inside is it smoke-free. It's a shame the patio is filled with the stench.

Always cozy in a slightly old-fashioned atmosphere and delicious food. There's something for everyone on a clear, attractive, short menu.

This has been our first visit to Lien's Kitchen in over a decade of visiting Wassenaar. That fact is the only regret we have about our visit - that we haven't been before! From the welcoming, friendly and attentive staff to the superbly cooked lobster and ribs, everything was fantastic. We only have a couple of days left on our holiday, but if possible we might try to get back for another meal! Thanks to everyone, Roddy and Rosemary from Scotland x

Sat on the terrace, it was lovely, right in the heart of the village, and I could easily watch the passing crowds. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I found the eggs Benedict with ham mediocre: mini brioche-like rolls, but not brioche, and the ham was very thick and plentiful. It didn't look very appetizing (though it did).

Best meal we have in a long time. We had steak, lobster and satay chicken. Vert tasty. We had one each of the four desserts on offer. Delicious and generous helpings. Walked at 6.30pm and got a table with no booking. Comfortable and pleasant atmosphere and good service. Not the cheapest but value for the money and you get what you pay for! That's from a yorkshireman with a Scottish mother so that's saying something!!!

The best food I've had in the past few weeks staying in the Netherlands. The frikendellen was superb. Plenty of choice for the children also. Great service and super relaxed atmosphere. We've eaten there both days that we stayed and weren't disappointed.

As a group of 11 people, every single one of us really enjoyed our food. It was the best food we had on this trip. I've never had such a good salad in my life. Every bite was full of flavour. Kids enjoyed all there meals. Service was amazing. We really enjoyed our evening. Sadly as we leave to go home we won't be back till our next trip but we certainly will be talking about that food for a while yet!

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Wassenaar: pleasant, warmly decorated interior, a great terrace, the food is worth a detour … but most importantly, the pleasant and helpful team makes it a place we’ve now visited several times, with the children (who love that their allergies are happily acommodated for instead of a problem).

Nice experience, upon entering the oysters and lobsters are immediately visible in well-maintained, clean aquariums. I went for a simple snack (a snack board with a drink) and this was of excellent quality. Was helped quickly by a friendly, helpful man. Lien's Kitchen has 'aroused my interest' to visit again and study the menu and the food a little more closely.

For anyone reading this, if you are ever in or near Wassenaar, you should definitely drop in here.😉 Very tasty meal with excellent service! I would say keep it up!👍

Enorme warme en persoonlijke ontvangst, recht uit het hart. Sfeervolle inrichting. Echt restaurantniveau en tegelijkertijd ook heel kindvriendelijk. Het eten was heel lekker en ook heel mooi gepresenteerd. Je smaakt dat er met kwaliteitsvolle producten gewerkt wordt. Een vraagje voor extra saus of warme appeltaart i.p.v koude taart werd met liefde gedaan. Prijs/kwaliteit zeer goed. Een adres om te onthouden!

I called in advance to see if there were gluten-free options and there were! A lot of thought was put into it and a lot of things can be prepared gluten-free. The carpaccio was buttery tender, just like the pork tenderloin with delicious mushrooms. Everything was tender, fresh and delicious. Service was excellent and the interior looked like something out of a home furnishings magazine. Highly recommended!

Been here for a quick beer & fries. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was great, the ambience was really chill. Definitely will try again for a dinner!

A nice and cozy atmosphere, nice point where they sit... the capuchino and coffee are delicious, But we didn't like the apple pie as much and the whipped cream "from a cheap can!!" For €0.75 you will have milk next to your apple pie in no time.. Such a pity..

Wij hebben hier op zondag heerlijk gegeten. We hebben ieder een salade genomen, de warme peer salade en de turf en surf salade, beide met de aanbevolen wijn erbij. Salades waren vers, prima gevuld en bovenal erg lekker. Ook de bijpassende wijnen (Gruner Veltliner en Malbec) waren ook prima. Ook attente en vriendelijke bediening. Wij komen zeer een keer terug.

Really great restaurant with very tasty and delicious meals. Thera are sea food, meat and vegan dishes. Everyone can enjoy this place. The wine selection is also quite nice and level of prices is reasonable.

Staff were friendly. But not having a beer menu and then charging €10 for a 0.5 l Weizen is downright scandalous. Never experienced anything like this during checkout. Who doesn't have a card for this? Very pricey afterwards So.

Had a surprisingly delicious meal at Lien's in Wassenaar. Friendly service and dishes perfectly prepared. Delicious asparagus and soft carpaccio, finely served at a fair price. Recommended!

Too bad, the falafel was really bland and the service not really friendly. I asked about some kind of lemonade, but that wasn't well received. The children's option spaghetti was cold and just in a large plate half of a normal portion. We definitely won't be coming back here...

We had a nice meal here. There was a nice atmosphere and the people were very friendly. We were in a bit of a hurry so we had 2 starters with fries as a main course. It was all no problem. We were helped quickly and it was tasty too.

In the middle of the Langstraat in Wassenaar, there is a cozy restaurant LIEN's Kitchen. There is an excellent and varying lunch and dinner menu. Check out the LIEN's Kitchen website. You can sit quietly there and the staff is friendly. For lunch we had a selection of sandwiches, soup and a croquette for 16.50. Recommended!

Overall, it's not bad for lunch. The service was fast, the food decent but nothing exceptional.

Tolle Speisekarte mit vegetarisch und veganen Gerichten. Alle Gerichte waren klasse, die Vospeisenplatte zum teilen ist super, für jeden was dabei. Die Spareribs und der Couscous Salat sind eine klare Empfehlung, nicht klassisch wie man es erwartet. Preis Leistung ist auch super.

Went there spontaneously and received a very friendly welcome. I had a hard time deciding because the menu was just full of great dishes. But my sandwich was the perfect choice and my vegan friend also found a really tasty dish. Absolutely perfect!

If you are coeliac please avoid this place . After all their assurances that the food was gluten free they then served gluten to my 6 year old . The waitress apologised and said she thought it was only gluten free bread I wanted !!!. Spent the next few hours with my child vomiting violently in a taxi and at the airport as we were flying home that day . Terrible service.

On our bike ride we came across this terrace belonging to a restaurant. Looked nice with nice chairs. We are not from Wassenaar ourselves, so we are not familiar with it, but we expected to be able to use something tasty everywhere. So no. We had coffee, tea and apple pie. Tea was fine, coffee mediocre, apple pie downright bad. The bottom was completely wet, so old pastry. Bad turn as far as we're concerned. We won't be coming back here again.

The bitterballen were tasty. But my appetite disappeared immediately when I saw the lobsters with tied pincers in a measly aquarium, in the hall through which everyone has to pass. No place to hide, motionless. Animal abuse.

Had a delicious meal tonight, just like always. We had the traditional mussels and the smokey bbq burger. You could clearly taste that the mussels were fresh, accompanied by delicious sauces. Especially the green one! The burger was also well prepared and tasted good. We will definitely come back again!

The food was delicious, but it was very cold inside.
