We were served extremely kindly by two lovely ladies, even though it was quite busy. Our plates were beautifully presented, the food was very tasty, truly prepared with care. The atmosphere on the terrace was good and cozy. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

It comes as quite a surprise to me when the waitress suddenly comes to my chair from behind (happened twice). Otherwise, I find the staff very nice and courteous!

Lovely meal the staff were very accommodating making the effort to make my daughter a special kids chicken burger not on the menu. My husband and I enjoyed our food, I had the sate chicken which was fabulous and my husband had the burger also great. The girls both enjoyed their meals and asked to go back again!

What a wonderful afternoon we had here. The dishes not only looked beautiful on the colorful plates, but tasted fantastic too. The lobster dish, in particular, was an absolute treat for the eyes and the taste buds. Everything was served with care in a cozy atmosphere. The presentation of the burger with the fresh salad and fries completed the picture. We will certainly return to this lovely spot in Wassenaar.

Tasty food, friendly service, nice terrace in a beautiful central location in the heart of Wassenaar. Also free parking within a 5-7 minute walk (Berkhei). Parking in the immediate vicinity for a maximum of 2 hours.

Difficult situation for the team. A child vomiting in the middle of the place. Parents who take no responsibility, don't know if they're staying, children walking on the sofa, running in and out of the restaurant. My advice... train your people!

Friendly welcome, but offering a 0.5L Texels specialty beer (a Dutch beer variety 😉👎) for €11.50 (not on the drinks menu) and then charging an exorbitant price is outrageous. Absolutely unacceptable. I've never paid such an inflated price before. 👎👎 Avoid this place 🤷. Regarding their response: We sat outside and paid there, then went inside to clarify the situation. Posting their reply here would be extremely damaging to their business. Best of luck! 🤷

It is a pleasant place to eat and drink both inside and outside. Nicely centrally located in the center of Wassenaar. Good, attentive service. The rendang croquette on bread is excellent!

Just enjoyed a ginger tea and coffee with pastry, friendly service and a lovely time.

Friendly and nice service. However, the price-to-quantity ratio of the food was much poor. The menu lists many ingredients, but they were nowhere to be found on the plate. The chicken satay, for example, comes with spring rolls and prawn crackers. I did not find those last two. A shame. The flavors were good in the end. The service is okay, though.

What a pleasant surprise. After a day including a visit to the fantastic Louwman Museum, grabbing a bite on the spur of the moment in Wassenaar. Highly recommended. It's just a shame that it was our host's last working day.

There was no one in the restaurant and we had to wait 10 minutes before one of us went inside to order and the waiter had the audacity to tell us to all come inside to show ID instead of doing his job and coming outside and asking us for ID he was also very rude to us, unacceptable!!

The staff were top-notch! Especially Annemarie and Peet. Unfortunately, everything we wanted to order was out of stock. Hence the 2 stars for the fries, which we were able to eat. So the staff gets a 10, but the food unfortunately does not.

Totally over priced for what it is.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and very friendly service. There were 11 of us and we were all equally satisfied. The kids devoured everything in no time.

We went for a quick dinner before seeing a movie at the Library/Filmhuis next door. We all had different types of burgers, and they were tasty! The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was lovely!

A few weeks ago, on a Wednesday evening, I dined here with a large group. The lady who served us was friendly but didn't listen well. We didn't ask for the cola, even though it had ice in it. Another diner asked for the dressing on his dish and got it on anyway. I had to ask for cutlery because it wasn't complete. The house red wine lacked any bite. I sent my hamburger back twice because it was incredibly raw inside. My dinner companions had already finished their food by then. They weren't happy with the quality of the food either. A pleasant meal together, but I imagine it differently. At 9:00 PM, we were shown out of the restaurant and ushered out the door so that "the cook" and dishwasher could also be quickly sent home. We stood outside chatting for a bit, and this young man left the restaurant to the side and asked him what his role was... My advice: don't eat here. The prices are far too high for simple dishes with poor flavor. Regards, Nina

A friendly welcome, delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful restaurant. We had the crispy pork belly on a sushi rice cracker (and it was truly delicious!) and the eggs Benedict with lobster for lunch. This was our first experience with Lien's Kitchen, and it left us wanting more!

The food was delicious and well-prepared. The bill was also reasonable! I was quite bothered by the table next to me. My hearing loss is undoubtedly to blame.

Outside on the terrace. A table by the window was already set for ten people. The service was friendly and attentive (with extra attention for the grandchildren), as usual. It took some getting used to the new terrace layout, with cyclists and the infamous fat bikes right next to it. Liens can't do anything about this layout. It's municipal policy!

The entire patio stinks of cigarette smoke. Only inside is it smoke-free. It's a shame the patio is filled with the stench.

Always cozy in a slightly old-fashioned atmosphere and delicious food. There's something for everyone on a clear, attractive, short menu.

This has been our first visit to Lien's Kitchen in over a decade of visiting Wassenaar. That fact is the only regret we have about our visit - that we haven't been before! From the welcoming, friendly and attentive staff to the superbly cooked lobster and ribs, everything was fantastic. We only have a couple of days left on our holiday, but if possible we might try to get back for another meal! Thanks to everyone, Roddy and Rosemary from Scotland x

Sat on the terrace, it was lovely, right in the heart of the village, and I could easily watch the passing crowds. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I found the eggs Benedict with ham mediocre: mini brioche-like rolls, but not brioche, and the ham was very thick and plentiful. It didn't look very appetizing (though it did).

Best meal we have in a long time. We had steak, lobster and satay chicken. Vert tasty. We had one each of the four desserts on offer. Delicious and generous helpings. Walked at 6.30pm and got a table with no booking. Comfortable and pleasant atmosphere and good service. Not the cheapest but value for the money and you get what you pay for! That's from a yorkshireman with a Scottish mother so that's saying something!!!

The best food I've had in the past few weeks staying in the Netherlands. The frikendellen was superb. Plenty of choice for the children also. Great service and super relaxed atmosphere. We've eaten there both days that we stayed and weren't disappointed.

As a group of 11 people, every single one of us really enjoyed our food. It was the best food we had on this trip. I've never had such a good salad in my life. Every bite was full of flavour. Kids enjoyed all there meals. Service was amazing. We really enjoyed our evening. Sadly as we leave to go home we won't be back till our next trip but we certainly will be talking about that food for a while yet!

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Wassenaar: pleasant, warmly decorated interior, a great terrace, the food is worth a detour … but most importantly, the pleasant and helpful team makes it a place we’ve now visited several times, with the children (who love that their allergies are happily acommodated for instead of a problem).

Nice experience, upon entering the oysters and lobsters are immediately visible in well-maintained, clean aquariums. I went for a simple snack (a snack board with a drink) and this was of excellent quality. Was helped quickly by a friendly, helpful man. Lien's Kitchen has 'aroused my interest' to visit again and study the menu and the food a little more closely.

For anyone reading this, if you are ever in or near Wassenaar, you should definitely drop in here.😉 Very tasty meal with excellent service! I would say keep it up!👍

Enorme warme en persoonlijke ontvangst, recht uit het hart. Sfeervolle inrichting. Echt restaurantniveau en tegelijkertijd ook heel kindvriendelijk. Het eten was heel lekker en ook heel mooi gepresenteerd. Je smaakt dat er met kwaliteitsvolle producten gewerkt wordt. Een vraagje voor extra saus of warme appeltaart i.p.v koude taart werd met liefde gedaan. Prijs/kwaliteit zeer goed. Een adres om te onthouden!

I called in advance to see if there were gluten-free options and there were! A lot of thought was put into it and a lot of things can be prepared gluten-free. The carpaccio was buttery tender, just like the pork tenderloin with delicious mushrooms. Everything was tender, fresh and delicious. Service was excellent and the interior looked like something out of a home furnishings magazine. Highly recommended!

A nice and cozy atmosphere, nice point where they sit... the capuchino and coffee are delicious, But we didn't like the apple pie as much and the whipped cream "from a cheap can!!" For €0.75 you will have milk next to your apple pie in no time.. Such a pity..

Wij hebben hier op zondag heerlijk gegeten. We hebben ieder een salade genomen, de warme peer salade en de turf en surf salade, beide met de aanbevolen wijn erbij. Salades waren vers, prima gevuld en bovenal erg lekker. Ook de bijpassende wijnen (Gruner Veltliner en Malbec) waren ook prima. Ook attente en vriendelijke bediening. Wij komen zeer een keer terug.

Really great restaurant with very tasty and delicious meals. Thera are sea food, meat and vegan dishes. Everyone can enjoy this place. The wine selection is also quite nice and level of prices is reasonable.

Staff were friendly. But not having a beer menu and then charging €10 for a 0.5 l Weizen is downright scandalous. Never experienced anything like this during checkout. Who doesn't have a card for this? Very pricey afterwards So.

Had a surprisingly delicious meal at Lien's in Wassenaar. Friendly service and dishes perfectly prepared. Delicious asparagus and soft carpaccio, finely served at a fair price. Recommended!

Too bad, the falafel was really bland and the service not really friendly. I asked about some kind of lemonade, but that wasn't well received. The children's option spaghetti was cold and just in a large plate half of a normal portion. We definitely won't be coming back here...
