We stopped by for a quick snack and I really wanted to have some proper meat croquettes again, and I have to say they were fabulous – super delicious bread, really great mustard, and very high quality croquettes. I'll definitely be back.

The Food is very expensive for this quality! 6 Gambas with Garlic Sauce 17.50 Euro with lonely white Bread without Aioli. The Musles was ok, but 25 Euro for this? I find it very expensivefor this qualityof food.

Family, living locally, has taken us here several times before and we always had a great time. This strand paviljoen is the oldest and i.m.o. the loveliest beach restaurant in Wassenaar. Food - I had their double smash 100% beef burger this time - is good and Staff is very pleasant. Recommended!

We celebrated a wonderful baptism service with 100 people here in the beach pavilion today (and in the sea, of course). It was all incredibly well organized and done with great love. Freshly baked cake upon arrival, and a delicious lunch for everyone afterwards. Thank you very much!

Studied the website and the menu beforehand to look forward to it. Arriving on your birthday at 10 minutes to 10 to have breakfast together. Mentioning this and immediately hearing that the kitchen doesn't open until 10 o'clock. Huh, your website says 9 o'clock (and the menu too, by the way). "Kitchen doesn't open until 10 o'clock." You could also say at 10 minutes to 10: "How nice that you're here. Please sit down. What would you like to drink in the meantime? I'll go get the menu and you can enjoy a delicious breakfast." Eventually the menu arrived. Asked again. It says 9 o'clock here, doesn't it? Yes, but the chef is unavailable and the other one always comes at 10 o'clock. Coffee (good) was already finished. Cups remained empty and stayed put even when the menu was brought. Breakfast was okay. Young cheese and ham. Butter. Pre-made croissant. Bread okay. Not fresh fruit with pineapple that was already discolored. A pointed knife that no one could use to scoop and spread jam and butter. No orange juice, and it wasn't asked for either. Zero reaction or small gesture when we mentioned that someone was celebrating a birthday. Eventually, the line: "Would you like another cup of coffee?"... while he walked away and looked back.... End of quote. Photos of staff on the napkin holders completely faded by the sun. "Yes, because there were advertisements there first." Then do it properly and put a nice caption with it or something. And flags where even the N for Heineken, among others, was worn, frayed, blown away, and had disappeared are simply unacceptable. Breakfast was nothing special and not exciting. Nothing was asked for either. If the wait staff were active, they would really sell many times as much. Wait staff just put things down. They are not salespeople of hospitality. The owner should invest in training on what a customer is. And the season hasn't even started yet....

This was the only affordable and easily accessible beach bar with a nice menu! between Hoek van Holland and Noordwijk. South Holland could learn a thing or two from the Zeeland beach bar kitchens!!

What a terrible decision the management of this company has made to ban smokers, even extending them beyond the terrace... You are allowed to eat your fill there, by the way, even though more than 50% of the population is already overweight (which is a truly almost ridiculously high percentage); indulging in alcohol is also permitted there, and yet they dare to call themselves a 'Sports Pavilion'... It is also very annoying that a dog is even allowed to roam freely and do whatever it pleases on 'its' terrace, and even constantly making very loud phone calls (which happened right next to us) is apparently not a single problem, but the smoker, well, that annoying smoker should just go live in the dunes. You know what, this pavilion thought, let's ban smoking not only inside but outside as well; taking social responsibility for everyone in society—brrr, that's not for us... My personal wish is the following: that it may rain for three whole summers in a row and that the municipality of Wassenaar, in a healthy, sporting manner, ramps up the 'sports lease prices' for pavilion 'Sport' at breakneck speed to unprecedented heights, until every member of its staff and every visitor fits the image associated with 'sport'...: slim, non-smoking, non-drinking, and socially engaged. Really, dear people, I will never visit this terrible place again, a simple beach pavilion that simply excludes large existing social groups and is no longer accessible to everyone... yes, it is worth something to me to reclaim the beach for the entire society, so that everyone can continue to make use of it. In the end, perhaps only the slim people will remain who: never and never drink, eat *very* conscientiously (so certainly not stuffing down 'restaurant snacks' like frikandellen), perhaps cycle as much as 35 kilometers daily and also walk for an hour, and occasionally light up a single cigarette in the evening? People like me, basically... Yes, I find it highly inappropriate to prohibit smokers from smoking, even outdoors, and in front of your terrace...

Wonderful place with a lovely seaside atmosphere. The staff are exceptionally friendly, the food is delicious, and the service is always fast and efficient. We enjoy coming back here during our weekend walks and are never disappointed. Highly recommended!

Just a really nice beach bar. In a nice spot.

The restaurant has a wonderful location right on the beach. The drinks are good. The food is mediocre. Everything is a bit under-seasoned, and a lot of it comes from the deep fryer. Unfortunately, smoking is not allowed in the outdoor area. You have to go outside. The view of the sea is truly beautiful. Unfortunately, the prices here are very high.

Nice beach bar where they take dietary requirements into account. Head onto the beach at Wassenaarse Slag and then immediately turn left. Well worth the effort!

The food was decent, just a bit on the pricey side. Otherwise, the service was friendly, but the waiting times were a bit long.

Fantastic beach club!! We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here (in the enclosed, cozy party area). It went off without a hitch and was a resounding success. The initial consultation was excellent, clear, and quick, with a clear understanding of our needs and various BBQ options included in an excellent quote. The afternoon and evening were served by a fantastic and friendly team. We had a fantastic BBQ, after which the party (with DJ) really got going. Highly recommended if you're looking for a great party venue on the beach.

It's wonderful to sit in the late summer sun, sheltered from the wind. A lovely sea view. Wonderful! Plenty of food and drink options. Delicious snacks too. The gluten-free options are particularly well-marked on the menu. Vegetarian options are certainly available too. As expected, it's quite expensive.

All I can say is wow, amazing fresh food cooked perfectly with fantastic service. Its our first time in Holland and this place has set the bar so high for any other Dutch restaurant to follow. We will definately be back for more.

Great place on the beach for a simple dinner while enjoying the sun set. I can highly recommend the double smash burgers. The service was great, the hostess was very friendly. The wine wasn’t special, if you care about that. Overall the food price was quite steep for what was offered. To end on a good note, we had a good time!

For as far as beach pavilions go, this one is certainly 'up there'. I had a good fish menu suggestion, (i.e. greater weever as catch of the day) from a charming lady working the tables outside on the terrace. The delightful weather of course also had an extra positive effect on our evening.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service and communication. We asked for some applesauce to administer medication for one of our children, and were subsequently charged €3 for it. It would have been nice to have been told this beforehand, regardless of the "unfair" price.

Super cozy bar. Beautiful view. Dog-friendly. Very friendly staff, and I suspect the owner (a woman) was also very friendly. I don't have a photo because we quickly had a drink before starting our bike ride to Duinrell. There are water troughs for dogs. 🙂 If we ever return to Duinrell, we will definitely bring the dog back.

A lovely spot right on the beach. The service is fast and friendly. This is a great location for a fun day at the beach, perfect for enjoying a snack or a drink. On a beautiful (summer) evening, enjoy the large terrace or the cozy atmosphere inside. Highly recommended.

We had two non-alcoholic beers, a skuumkoppe (a type of beer) for €6.50 each, and a latte for €4.80. I personally found the latte a bit small because the glass had a huge layer of foam. These three drinks cost us €17.80. That's a steep price for three drinks, and I understand now that the entire two hours we spent on the terrace, it was practically empty.

I totally dig their delicious menu with lots of fish and a very relaxed atmosphere. Dogs are welcome and spoiled with attention. Ours got a little treat at the end of the meal. The place is super-busy at weekends, makes sense to book a table in advance. Update after a visit on 28th Aug 2024: The staff are still doing their best, but the quality of the food and cleanliness of the dishes leaves much to be desired. Some people read the relaxed ambience of a beach restaurant as an invitation to show their uninhibited side in micro-bikinis and swimpants, which I would rather not see in a place where I eat.

Yesterday I had a delicious meal with my colleagues from Serborg at Strandpaviljoen Sport. We were very lucky with the weather, it stayed warm for a long time so we could sit outside for a long time. But the atmosphere was also excellent because of the nice service and a view of the setting sun. The food was very tasty, the fish salad is definitely recommended. We will definitely come back here.

We had never been to the beach in Wassenaar and because of the highest reviews we chose beach pavilion Sport. Nice service, excellent bitterballen, but wow, what high prices. Not necessarily much more expensive than the other beach bars there, but we think 4.50 euros for a ginger beer and 5.50 euros for a Skuumkoppe 0.0 are steep. Just like, for example, 23.50 euros for fish & chips. So that's why we didn't choose to eat there.

A somewhat dated Beach Tent. Not very atmospheric, partly due to the lack of music. Had dinner there in the evening, opted for lobster. This turned out not to be warm. This was indicated to the waiter, after which the lobster was re-entered the steamer to warm up and the lobster, which had already been partially dissected by me, was re-served as provided. I had chosen to prepare a new lobster and also offered my guests something to drink for the inconvenience.

Today we had a delicious meal at beach pavilion sport. The location was great, you feel at one with the beach, the atmosphere is extremely relaxed and relaxed. The service was perfect, friendly and excellent, the food, starter, main course and dessert were excellent and worth complimenting. And all that for an exceptionally fair price. It was more than worth the 1.5 hour drive there and 1.5 hour back. We sat here for more than 3 hours. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Beautiful location at the Wassenaarse Slag. Good service, food could use some refinement. Child friendly. The whole, and especially the interior, makes a somewhat messy impression. So the trip to the toilets is a crawl-through-sneak-through. The toilets are clean and that is the most important thing.

Low on staff of course but food and drinks are nice.

Overall a typical tourist restaurant. Eat once and go. The staff tried hard. The food was OK. Except the pizza. You can't get a Ristorante frozen pizza for 12 euros. Pizza dough is not art, you just have to want to.
