I think this is the best beach bar on the Wassenaarse Slag and I always enjoy going there

Fantastic beach club!! We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here (in the enclosed, cozy party area). It went off without a hitch and was a resounding success. The initial consultation was excellent, clear, and quick, with a clear understanding of our needs and various BBQ options included in an excellent quote. The afternoon and evening were served by a fantastic and friendly team. We had a fantastic BBQ, after which the party (with DJ) really got going. Highly recommended if you're looking for a great party venue on the beach.

It's wonderful to sit in the late summer sun, sheltered from the wind. A lovely sea view. Wonderful! Plenty of food and drink options. Delicious snacks too. The gluten-free options are particularly well-marked on the menu. Vegetarian options are certainly available too. As expected, it's quite expensive.

All I can say is wow, amazing fresh food cooked perfectly with fantastic service. Its our first time in Holland and this place has set the bar so high for any other Dutch restaurant to follow. We will definately be back for more.

Great place on the beach for a simple dinner while enjoying the sun set. I can highly recommend the double smash burgers. The service was great, the hostess was very friendly. The wine wasn’t special, if you care about that. Overall the food price was quite steep for what was offered. To end on a good note, we had a good time!

For as far as beach pavilions go, this one is certainly 'up there'. I had a good fish menu suggestion, (i.e. greater weever as catch of the day) from a charming lady working the tables outside on the terrace. The delightful weather of course also had an extra positive effect on our evening.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service and communication. We asked for some applesauce to administer medication for one of our children, and were subsequently charged €3 for it. It would have been nice to have been told this beforehand, regardless of the "unfair" price.

Super cozy bar. Beautiful view. Dog-friendly. Very friendly staff, and I suspect the owner (a woman) was also very friendly. I don't have a photo because we quickly had a drink before starting our bike ride to Duinrell. There are water troughs for dogs. 🙂 If we ever return to Duinrell, we will definitely bring the dog back.

Excellent atmosphere as this restaurant is right ON the beach! It was an amazing experience with a good vibe! The food was top notch with great service. They have a few vegetarian items but we're extremely accommodating! Highly recommend!

A lovely spot right on the beach. The service is fast and friendly. This is a great location for a fun day at the beach, perfect for enjoying a snack or a drink. On a beautiful (summer) evening, enjoy the large terrace or the cozy atmosphere inside. Highly recommended.

We had two non-alcoholic beers, a skuumkoppe (a type of beer) for €6.50 each, and a latte for €4.80. I personally found the latte a bit small because the glass had a huge layer of foam. These three drinks cost us €17.80. That's a steep price for three drinks, and I understand now that the entire two hours we spent on the terrace, it was practically empty.

I totally dig their delicious menu with lots of fish and a very relaxed atmosphere. Dogs are welcome and spoiled with attention. Ours got a little treat at the end of the meal. The place is super-busy at weekends, makes sense to book a table in advance. Update after a visit on 28th Aug 2024: The staff are still doing their best, but the quality of the food and cleanliness of the dishes leaves much to be desired. Some people read the relaxed ambience of a beach restaurant as an invitation to show their uninhibited side in micro-bikinis and swimpants, which I would rather not see in a place where I eat.

Yesterday I had a delicious meal with my colleagues from Serborg at Strandpaviljoen Sport. We were very lucky with the weather, it stayed warm for a long time so we could sit outside for a long time. But the atmosphere was also excellent because of the nice service and a view of the setting sun. The food was very tasty, the fish salad is definitely recommended. We will definitely come back here.

We had never been to the beach in Wassenaar and because of the highest reviews we chose beach pavilion Sport. Nice service, excellent bitterballen, but wow, what high prices. Not necessarily much more expensive than the other beach bars there, but we think 4.50 euros for a ginger beer and 5.50 euros for a Skuumkoppe 0.0 are steep. Just like, for example, 23.50 euros for fish & chips. So that's why we didn't choose to eat there.

A somewhat dated Beach Tent. Not very atmospheric, partly due to the lack of music. Had dinner there in the evening, opted for lobster. This turned out not to be warm. This was indicated to the waiter, after which the lobster was re-entered the steamer to warm up and the lobster, which had already been partially dissected by me, was re-served as provided. I had chosen to prepare a new lobster and also offered my guests something to drink for the inconvenience.

Sport is really our favorite restaurant! The food is delicious, my favorite dish is the half chicken, which is wonderfully seasoned and comes with a small apple sauce! Furthermore, the atmosphere and the staff are really great!!

Today we had a delicious meal at beach pavilion sport. The location was great, you feel at one with the beach, the atmosphere is extremely relaxed and relaxed. The service was perfect, friendly and excellent, the food, starter, main course and dessert were excellent and worth complimenting. And all that for an exceptionally fair price. It was more than worth the 1.5 hour drive there and 1.5 hour back. We sat here for more than 3 hours. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Beautiful location at the Wassenaarse Slag. Good service, food could use some refinement. Child friendly. The whole, and especially the interior, makes a somewhat messy impression. So the trip to the toilets is a crawl-through-sneak-through. The toilets are clean and that is the most important thing.

Popular beach pavilion where you can enjoy a delicious meal with a beautiful view of the sea. Recommended!! Closed from the end of September until spring 2023.

What a terrible decision the management of this company has made to treat some people as pariahs, in this case the smoker... Ate here yesterday with my friend. We are both gluten-free and this menu had many options! We had a really delicious meal, the service was friendly and fast. And most importantly: no stomach aches! We will definitely come back.

Overall a typical tourist restaurant. Eat once and go. The staff tried hard. The food was OK. Except the pizza. You can't get a Ristorante frozen pizza for 12 euros. Pizza dough is not art, you just have to want to.

Low on staff of course but food and drinks are nice.

Jeetje dat viel tegen in vergelijking voorgaande jaren. Alle vis gebakken in de frituur dus ook de tonijn en tarbot. Bier van de tap was lauw en een ander biertje van de tap was niet op smaak. Leidingen doorspoelen. Bediening was zoals altijd goed. Lekkere grote parasols. Prijzen zijn ook fors in verhouding wat er op het bord ligt. Kortom werk aan de winkel om weer op een oud niveau te komen.

We gingen voor de lunch en gelijk onze mannen gebeld en een tafeltje gereserveerd voor het diner. Het is hier echt genieten, door de vriendelijke service en uitmuntende kwaliteit.

Three stars for the really friendly, warm and very hard-working staff. First of all: you sit really well and attention was paid to cleanliness. We found the carafes of water with mint & berries or citrus fruits (€4.50) to be positively highlighted. We had half the chicken (€17.50) and the fish salad (€21.50), review: The chicken was tasty and very crispy. Unfortunately, the fries didn't have any salt on them and in my opinion the applesauce in the sealed cup doesn't cost €17.50. But the portion was okay. In the fish salad, crayfish, crabs, salmon and tuna were virtually tasteless. All four taste like more when packaged from the supermarket. (That's not an exaggeration!) The eel had flavor and the surimi in mayo. The cocktail dressing didn't taste good, but it wasn't needed either. Unfortunately the portion wasn't nearly enough to fill me up. The choice of food was generally very limited, the choice of drinks was completely different. We therefore only recommend the restaurant for a drink.

Fat rip off. Is this what they call in the newspapers: grab-flation? Apple pie with whipped cream, 'supermarket' quality: 6.25 euros. That really goes too far for me. Staff are joking with each other, which is fine, but as a customer you don't feel taken seriously. Then I will bake my own apple pie from now on! Its a shame, but there is nothing to do about it
