Great address; delicious tapas and good atmosphere.

Nice place, cozy and nice service. Tapas was tasty but very expensive for what it was. I've eaten better tapas for a milder price. I thought it was a bit too haughty, to be honest.

We were there in the early evening (5:30 p.m./6:00 p.m.) and the place was full. Although it is quite small, it is beautifully decorated and not too loud for conversation. Unfortunately, this affected the service, which was not able to respond as quickly and you had to wait a little longer. The food, however, was very tasty and beautifully prepared. The portions are relatively small for their price. The ink rings are very tasty, compared to other dishes but a lot and recommended to share. The ribeye a la parrilla was good in itself, but we both didn't like it. The shrimp were seasoned very tasty, but only about 5 or 6 pieces. The Risotto Del Chef is also highly recommended, although the seasonal vegetables were mushrooms. If you don't like mushrooms, you should ask the waiter what vegetables they add at that time.

Excellent service, delicious food and great beer. What else one can expect on a journey?

While travelling to Rotterdam with a friend for a weekend we picked this restaurant to celebrate her birthday and enjoy seafood the Spanish way. Even though the restaurant was full on a Sunday night which felt like a good sign that we picked the right place for the occasion, we were negatively surprised by the staff. Service wasn’t very friendly, the waiter charged us an extras on our paella even though we didn’t ask for it and the sangria was clearly sitting around too long as it made my friend feel sick by the end of the night.

The food was delicious and place very cozy with nice, not loud music on the background. But the service was bad and too slow! We ordered mussels and tomato bread but didn’t get bread eventually. To order drinks I always went to the bar to order just a glass of wine. Very disappointing. I don’t want to blame waitresses but mostly a manager of the restaurant. Just hire more employees to improve the service!

Always delicious food and very friendly service

La Cazuela scores particularly well in terms of atmosphere. And that starts outside. There is a restaurant on every corner of the intersection on Proveniersstraat. And they all did their best to make it look cozy from the outside. Terrace, plants, lights: the works. And that works. By the way, my dining companion told me that the other restaurants are also worth a visit. Inside it is just as cozy: beautiful entrance with bar and surprisingly spacious in the back. Comfortable seating, intimate small tables (can be joined together for larger groups) and above all… very little light. But with a table lamp on every table. Okay, it's a bit difficult to read a map (bring reading glasses!), but it does create atmosphere. We also had a nice meal. I visit Spain a lot. Is it as good as there? Honestly: no. At least, it's good, but not authentic. The dishes - we took tapas - are often prepared slightly differently than in Spain. Very tasty, but also a bit of a shame. Curious about the paella, which is also recommended on the menu. We ate and drank well. It took 10 servings to make it sufficient. They were quite small, as we often see in restaurants nowadays, especially in relation to the price. The same applies to the excellent wine. Tasty, but full glasses were not served - more raised bottoms. Until we said something about it. But it's a shame that that's necessary. In short, a mixed bag: good quality and atmosphere, not entirely authentically Spanish and quite expensive compared to... quantity (shrinkage).

Never before have we experienced that a glass of tap water absolutely could not be served. We waited half an hour for our table, after we made a reservation a month in advance. The food is tasty and the staff is very friendly, but we didn't think this was nice. We are used to having to wait so long for a table and being offered something to drink. Fine if this is not the case, but a glass of water would have been appropriate. The patatas bravas are potatoes with a sauce on top. Not very tasty. Furthermore, the food was fine.

Atmosphere great! Nice and busy, buzzing. The service is professional, breath-taking, humorous, a real host and hostess. You have to be a little patient because it takes a little longer due to the crowds. The table for 3 people is a bit tight, but we were able to move a little later. The tapas are good in terms of taste, but not the best tapas in Rotterdam. Mainly because the prices are expensive for the quantity you get.

The three of us were very cramped at a two-person table. That was very difficult when the paella was served, while the starter had not yet been cleared. We even put the artificial rose on the floor to make room. My mother and sister really liked the paella, I thought it was OK, not great. The chairs were not comfortable. Music from the sixties, seventies and eighties was played at a pleasant volume: you could hear the music well, but you could hear each other well.

Tried red and white sangria with some tapas. White was not the best, red was better. It’s only 5 minutes to the station (backside entrance) so a nice to place to grab a drink before hopping on a train and leave the city.

Arrived unexpectedly on a Friday evening. What a nice ambiance and nice setting. Hopefully see you again soon.

First of all because of the nice ambiance, beautiful Douro wine, good food, lovely ladies who served us excellently with a smile and how the manager dealt with this after a request for a dish, I am very grateful for how you made this evening so pleasant for us. made!!! Food was great, but we ordered paella and had to wait 2 hours for it, because they had brought our paella to someone else, too bad, we didn't get any compensation for it either.

My absolute favorite restaurant. Amazing tapas dishes, changing specials, and the best paella that you can find around here. I love shairng food and their tapas never disappoint. Definitely try: Patatas bravas Honey chorizo Spanish Omelette Padron peppers Inkfish croquettes Artichoke Mussels Paella (we share 2 person paella with 4 to enjoy tapas as well) and of course iberico ham Only thing that is not to my taste is their sangria, it is way to sweet for me.

Paella was spectacular, and I felt I was in Spain. Bravas was good as well However, the ribeye wasn't salted enough, and half of it was fat. Anyway, I'm giving 5 stars for the general experience and for the Paella. 50€ per person with a bottle of wine.

My dining companion's preference is tapas, Google search gave this restaurant as an option. Reserved as I have never eaten here and like to try out new ones in the culinary field. Nice location, a 7-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station. Lovely covered outdoor seating, a nice ambiance inside, good service, 3 courses + drinks that we both enjoyed (deliciously). Discover and experience it yourself!

No changing option for when you need to change your child in the toilet, a big minus! I had nowhere to change my child, never again. The food was not really special and not tasty for what you paid for it. The people we were there with even left a lot of the food behind, which says it all. People at the counter should look and pay more attention, they waited at least 15 minutes until they saw us to order something and/or pay. Too bad because the location is great! :)

Top place for tapas, something for everyone

They really have a Spanish vibe with music, food and drinks. They had a wide range of tapas. The prices are a bit on the high side for what you get. It really is the ideal place for a date.

There is nothing wrong with the location, the quality of the food is also good. The waitress was friendly and spontaneous. Our downside is the inflexible response when attempting to make a reservation (on the advice of the waitress via email) for a month with 9 people. Although we gave every opportunity to meet the restaurant's wishes in terms of both time and menu, we were refused. Fortunately, there is plenty of choice in Rotterdam and the surrounding area, they no longer see us at La Cazuela.

I love Spanish food and it met what was expected. Really tasty and similar to traditional food. The prices are a bit high for tapas so it is not a chill place to go eat, more of like a special dinner.

Very nice restaurant! A bit pricey, but otherwise really good food. The paella is definitely recommended, a bit on the salty side but generously filled. Recommended!

The food is not up to the price, however the service is correct and the atmosphere is fantastic, to enjoy on a late summer night. You can go and enjoy, but the quality/price ratio is unfavorable.

I only have one negative. Yesterday I had dinner here with my girlfriend and after sitting at the table for 1 minute we received a plate with serano ham on our table. The waiter/waitress didn't say anything and immediately walked away, so we assumed this was a welcome snack. However, during checkout it turned out that this was not the case. It turned out to be a dish for €16.50, which we had to pay for from one of the staff members because we had eaten the dish. Furthermore, we had a really delicious meal, there was a nice atmosphere and we received good and friendly help, so we were sorry that it ended like this.

Delicious food. And service was fast too. I came here with my wife for our 14th wedding anniversary. They really like this tapas restaurant. Delicious tapas and it looks really good too. Definitely recommended to eat there. Keep in mind that it can be busy.

A luxury to find Spanish food, well made, outside of Spain.

Great place, but it's bizarre that you can't just get a glass of tap water with your wine and food. Or that you can get tap water for an entire evening for x EUR. Fair letdown

My absolute new favorite tapas spot in Rotterdam. Mussels are a must try. Garlic mushrooms were so delicious! The Montepulciano paired really nice with the dishes. Will definitely come back to try more stuff. A+ for the waiters, who were very friendly and gave good recommendations.

I visited a restaurant last Sunday for dinner, having made a reservation a week in advance. I specifically requested a nice table as it was my partner's birthday, hoping for a special evening. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table at the back near the kitchen, where there was a lot of smoke and triggered my asthma. We requested a table change immediately, but were told none were available. To make matters worse, after our arrival and request, other guests without reservations were seated at better tables far from the smoke. This experience felt discriminatory and left us very embarrassed. The service was equally disappointing. We were barely attended to. The billing process was confusing and frustrating. Despite its good reviews, I found the experience inexplicable. Additionally, the rice, which was supposed to be paella, was extremely wet and unlike any paella I've had before. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant, and I will not be returning.

I visited there three times during my trip from Japan to Rotterdam. They kindly accommodated me even without a reservation. The glass of white wine and octopus🐙 were delicious. Tapas is good for the elderly because you can control the amount of food. The paella was a little salty, but delicious.

I order a Paella de Mariscos but the service was not okay. During the waiting time I didn’t receive any question regarding, drinks or either a napkin, spoon, fork or knife. After 45 min I receive my Paella and I have to go to the bar to ask for a simple spoon.

Confusion was on the menu today, paella at 22 eur with min 2 people is the price per person. My wallet was babouzled when it saw 44eur payment. Food was good though.

overpriced given the quality of the dishes and the quantity. Service was terrible by one of the waitresses, who messed up our order twice and didn’t seem to be helping us. Her blonde colleague tried to help us all the time and fix the mess of the other, so not everything is bad. Very crowded on a Friday night, very noisy. It was nicely decorated. Para los españoles: no vale la pena, en casa os podéis preparar algo mejor que os recuerde más a España.

Busy, long wait, dishes very small for that price

The food is very delicious, focused on Spanish cuisine, there is a dish called Secreto, delicious. They have a variety of drinks and a shot of tequila for €5 🤩

Before the renovation, I went out for dinner with my parents and had a meal for 3 people for 150 euros. Now 145 euros for 2 people. A jug of Sangria for 34 euros is very high. I think almost 75 euros for 2 people of tapas and sangria is too much. I assume the renovation will have to pay for itself. It must be said: the restaurant is beautiful and it employs good, attentive and friendly staff.

We let the staff choose the food ourselves. What a good choice, the food was incredibly tasty. Good wine and beer options and the atmosphere was good. The staff were very passionate about the food and drinks and very welcoming. I will definitely come back here!

After 7 months in Netherlands , finally find an amazing restaurant. It tastes awesome, and as a seafood lover I can say all the seafood is absolutely amazing fresh. What I can say, is even better than what I had in Barcelona 🤪❤️ will definitely come back again ❤️

very nice spanish food. we had some tapas and paella. all flawless and very tasty! they will inform you, but the paella takes 30-45 mins to be prepared. service is helpful and quite fast. the venue is quite cozy definitely will come back to try more

What a wonderful and fortunately still undiscovered place this is. A very nice atmosphere, cozy bar, friendly staff, busy music and delicious desserts. You can sit at the bar and chat with a friend, or have a bite to eat at the table further down the tent. The chaos matches the ambiance. Definitely come back here soon for a drink!

Been here for dinner twice now. My conclusion: trendy nice place, but not for a quiet dinner out. First time was on a Monday evening. Nice that they were open and it was surprisingly busy. We ordered some tapas as starters, followed by a main dish. The second time was on a Friday evening and the four of us found the place very busy; to a point we had to yell to understand each other. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is bigger than you would initially think from the outside. We found everything well prepared and presented. And very tasty. Wine menu is good too and service came with a smile. As mentioned already: lovely place, nice and trendy, but not for a quiet dinner out.

My two friends and I got serious food poisoning on our recent visit. It was a total bummer, and I'm not one to usually complain, but this time, it's a must. It was a very unpleasant night that followed that we definitely didn't sign up for. But that's not all - our waiter seemed to be on a whole different wavelength. We asked for a vegetarian dish not once, not twice, but three times! What did we end up with? A meaty surprise. Had to send that one back, and it added a layer of frustration to an already bad situation. Kept the other three dishes, which, by the way, made for one lousy evening. Rude and unhelpful vibes all around. After that, we complained to the restaurant itself, asking for a refund and it was still a nightmare. We had a communication back and forth where they tried to convince us that they did all the necessary quality checks and made sure it didn't result from our meals, but they couldn't explain why all 3 of us ended up having the same symptoms on that night. They insisted it must have been from something different but we reassured them that we spoke to our doctors and they confirmed the food poisoning. After that they stopped replying and needless to say we didn't even get our refund.

Cozy and cozy Spanish tapas restaurant with delicious Spanish dishes and a good wine list. We were pleasantly surprised with the good brandy that was served after dinner.

Ate here on Christmas Eve. We thought the tapas were really good quality. Some Spaniards with us also thought this. I think price/quality is a bit expensive because the portions are small. There were 6 of us and we really had to order a lot. Portion of shrimps in garlic, you got 6 shrimps for about + - €15. Bread with oil also cost €6 and you got 6 to 7 pieces of bread. Atmosphere was really great and staff very friendly. I wouldn't come back very quickly because the price is a bit on the high side for what you ultimately get. So as a tip, make the portions a bit larger. Gr

Het was een paar dagen voor de Kerst en het zag er zo sfeervol uit. Samen met mijn 2 dochters overheerlijke tapas gegeten, elk gerecht was smaakvol en zag er ook mooi uit. De liter Sangria was heerlijk, iets teveel ijsklonten. Het personeel was attent en gezellig. Kortom, we komen zeker een keertje terug.

Cosy restaurant with a focus on tapas and paella. Tapas as starter were very good; not exquisite. Paella, announced waiting time 30 minutes which was easily filled with tapas, is very good. One can add additionally other food eg chicken or gamba’s but we didn’t and it was absolutely sufficient. A little too overcooked though. Staff is very friendly and very supportive and attentive!

Friday evening, paella was great, place was overcrowded, so very noisy. Serving of drinks more than once mistaken. The seats are not ok so left the place with backpain. And on the bill mistake was made, overcharged by eur 44. Because I left the place asap I noticed mistake on bill at home. Disappointed.

We got a cheery/friendly greeting on entering. Never been there before, so our waitress explained everything. Staff remained attentive throughout the excellent meal. Definitely going there again.

Gezellige sfeer, service was oké maar helaas drankjes vergeten en achteraf wel afgerekend. Eten was echter onder de maat. Weinig smaak, kapot gefrituurd, ongezellig opgediend (ham als stukjes snijafval op een hoop). Alleen de mosselen waren hier een uitzondering, deze waren smaakvol. We gaan er niet meer terug.

Heerlijk gegeten en gedronken, zeer attente medewerkers .

Nu al een paar keer wezen eten bij La Cazuela en het is keer op keer heerlijk genieten! De locatie is sfeervol, personeel is super behulpzaam en vriendelijk en het eten is heerlijk! Met lekker weer raad ik het terras zeker aan maar ook binnen kan je heerlijk zitten. Mij zien ze vaker :)

Bij binnenkomst warm verwelkomd door alle lieve dames in de bediening. Ondanks dat we binnenliepen zonder reservering konden we toch gezellig aan de bar borrelen. Leuke tapasgerechten op en naast de kaart en een mooie wijnkaart. Ook vertelde de dame die ons bediende dat er binnenkort een nieuwe kaart aan komt dus je ziet ons snel terug.
