La Famiglia in Centrum

An intimate and welcoming restaurant, very close to the city center and within walking distance of Alkmaar's beautiful and charming neighborhoods. A typical Italian dinner with a variety of restaurant or pizzeria dishes. The beef carpaccio is highly recommended, with its fresh meat and perfectly balanced combinations that truly enhance its delicacy! A place worth visiting...

We ate here via Social Deal. For €16.95, we had a starter and a main course. Both were very tasty. For the main course, I had the arriabata pasta. The sauce was deliciously spicy and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a small, cozy Italian restaurant!

Highly recommended for tourists.

Very tasty pizza, but due to a staff shortage it took a very long time. The owner is very friendly and customer-oriented. Personally, my starter was a bit disappointing.

Very tasty! Friendly staff and it tasted fantastic. Definitely recommended!

We had a delicious meal. The service was very friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

A great little restaurant. There were four of us, and we ordered various appetizers and main courses. Everything was excellent and incredibly delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the pizza was beautifully baked and crispy. Highly recommended!

Fresh, delicious food and friendly, fast service. We enjoyed a wonderful evening.

Small but very nice original Italian restaurant, very friendly service and owners, and of course the food is delicious.

The food is excellent. The atmosphere is always cozy. The owners and staff are super nice and hospitable.

This was our last night in Alkmaar. Since it was just after opening, we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. The owner, Christian, was the absolute best! So friendly and the meal was wonderful! What a cute atmosphere. Very inviting.

I ordered pizza vulcano and penne carbonara. Oh, what a delicious meal. The service is phenomenal and highly recommended!!!

You're better off ordering a pizza or pasta here, because with a piece of meat you only get a piece of meat and a pathetic plate of vegetables. A shame. Of the 4 Italian restaurants in Alkmaar, this one was quite a letdown.

The best pizza in Alkmaar in my opinion!! Additionally, the owner is very friendly and provides excellent service, even when there is an accidental mistake in the order. After all, we are all human, right? Today I thoroughly enjoyed a Pizza Nonno and a Pizza Formaggi again! Highly recommended!

Looking for a place to eat with our band. We had just played on the street in Alkmaar. We were received very hospitably, and while talking to the owners, the conversation turned to music. We played our own songs for a bit. A very special experience, the food was delicious, so it was great fun to do again. We were a bit early, around 5 PM, so there were no other guests yet.

Best pizza in Alkmaar. Service is great and owns are super friendly will come back here in a heartbeat

Great place to come with the whole fam. Fun corner for kiddos - kept our toddles entertained for a whole hour.

We had a wonderful meal at this Italian family restaurant. Excellent wine, beautifully presented, and fresh food. An open kitchen where the food is cooked with genuine dedication, just like a family restaurant in Rome! Bruschetta, shrimp, pasta, lamb chops, and veal schnitzel… all top-notch.

Terrible food and bizarre service! I called to say I placed an order an hour and a half ago and wondered if it had already left. The answer I got was, "Yes, it's on its way." So I asked, "Which order are you referring to?" She didn't even know the address or which order! I ordered pasta bolognese and a pizza funghi. The pasta smelled so strongly of garlic, like a huge bag, and the pizza arrived cold and limp! I should have listened to the reviews on Thuisbezorgd. My conclusion: VERY BAD FOOD AND A BAD OPERATOR!

Didn't eat anything. Made a reservation for Monday. Received confirmation. Arrived on Monday, but unfortunately, they were closed.

Great pizza and cute little place.

We had a delicious meal; the pizzas, lasagna, and pasta were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price/quality ratio is excellent. Highly recommended! Later, we received an email about a pair of glasses we'd forgotten. That was very thoughtful.

We had a particularly delicious meal. The bruschetta was excellent. The pasta was also very tasty.

A super fun family restaurant. Where kids can be kids. A wonderfully homey Italian atmosphere. Always a pleasant atmosphere.

The food was cold. And unfortunately, I have to say, I've never eaten such a bad pizza diavola.

Pizzeria is enorm verbeterd. Heerlijke pizza’s. Iedereen heeft genoten. Hele goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Echt een aanrader.

Cozy little restaurant, good food, definitely recommended

Delicious pizzas, with the 50cm pizzas as a favorite. delivery often takes longer than an hour, so order on time and not when you are hungry ;) all in all my favorite pizzeria in Alkmaar

I had dinner at la Famiglia tonight and it is definitely recommended. Food was delicious and service was nice. Was a successful evening.

After a wonderful day during the Alkmaarse four-day event, we decided to eat here. Despite the fact that it is not a warm and inviting place, we sat down. After a few minutes we got our drinks, but different from what we ordered. After ordering the pizza, we waited for over 45 minutes until we asked how it was. The waiter told us that it would take another 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, still no pizza, so we left after paying for our drinks. The pizza chef did come out of his kitchen, raging, to tell me that it is normal to have to wait so long. (There were still 4 people there) Not recommended.

Ordered a Carciofedda with extra olives for collection. On opening the box, I realised they had forgotten the olives, plus the artichoke looked grey, and the sundried tomatoes amounted to a bit of scattered minced stuff across the surface. It was cooked well and the base was crispy, but the tomato sauce didn't taste of much, there was hardly any cheese, the toppings tasted of nothing and as mentioned the olives were forgotten despite paying for them. Decently cooked but let down by poor ingredients.

We have eaten at your place a few times, very tasty, top place

Delicious pizza, lovely house wine, very hospitable staff!

Despite the late time, 4 of us were welcome to have something to eat. 3 x pizza, 1 x pasta. Delicious food! The wine was not OK, it was due to taste, according to the friendly employee. There's no arguing about that, so I ordered a beer. Also fine.

Very friendly service. Nice restaurant. Food was fine

Had a great meal tonight at la Familia, an unadorned ristorante, but the owners know how to bring the taste of Italy to Alkmaar. Excellent price-quality ratio

I loved it, cozy place and excellent service!

Delicious food, beautiful ambiance and a good price, highly recommended! Come eat here ❤️

The number 1 Italian pizza in Alkmaar. The pizza is amazing. Thin crust, right amount of ingredients and perfectly balanced seasoning. It's actually crazy how thin that crust is. The owner/chef is not only a master pizza baker. This man has the voice of an angel. Please ask him to play you an Italian song. You won't be disappointed.

Delicious food, friendly service, good portion and good quality. Affordable and value for money. Good Social deal.

Tasty food, fast service. Just a bit small

Tasty pizza. Service was somewhat distracted by the cell phone. A bit chilly.

Ordered at this restaurant and it took them 2 hours! The pizza was burned, too hard to chew and then I had tiramisu foe desert…what a joke! It literally is tiramisu from the supermarket with some cream around it to decorate it. You really thought i would not taste the difference between real tiramisu and an artificial one?! Shameful

What a wonderful experience at La Famiglia in Alkmaar! From the moment we walked in, we immediately felt welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a fun night out. The menu offers a fine selection of authentic Italian dishes. We tried the pizzas and they were delicious! The base was crispy and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They took the time to advise us on the dishes and made sure we didn't miss anything. In short, La Famiglia is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys delicious Italian food. We will definitely come back!

Delicious food, nice service. Cozy atmosphere.

My pizza was ready very quickly and tasted fantastic afterwards. Great tent!

Delicious food, great service. Quiet atmosphere and neat. House wine is fine!

We had to wait a very long time for the food to arrive and Emma thought it was too much garlic on the pizza and in the soup

Ordered a pizza online before 4:30 PM but only delivered after 5:30 PM. No call, no excuses, nothing. Too bad because the pizzas themselves are delicious!!

I had walked past this restaurant many times. Ate here for the first time yesterday. As soon as I entered I was struck by the cozy interior. We were warmly welcomed and were allowed to choose our own table. Tables are spacious, so you don't immediately sit on your neighbor's lap. (Something that is sometimes the case at some restaurants) As a starter we had bread with herb butter. The bread was a kind of pizza base cut into pieces. Very tasty! Something different than just plain baguette. As a main course I had raviloli with cheese, really delicious! The lasagna my friend had also tasted good. The menu stated that there was only a limited number of tiramishu. But we were lucky. With the Italian beers and music in the background, you really felt like you were in Italy. We had a delicious meal and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back here again!

Enjoyed a delicious meal in a real Italian family restaurant.

In terms of atmosphere and decor, I would describe it as cheap. Garden furniture with placemats over it, little atmospheric lighting. The soup as a starter and children's pizza were good and clearly fresh. Unfortunately, the bruchetta as a starter and the pasta were not. 3 pieces of hard baguette with pesto and tapenade from a jar on top. The arugula next to it was hanging there, it was not crispy and fresh. The pastas do not include fresh ingredients or any vegetables. Pesto from a jar, salmon from a can? The pineapple on the pizza too, from a jar, which is a shame because the pizza itself was really good! Dishes and drinks were not served at the same time. They couldn't open the wine bottle? When asked if the starter was tasty, I answered honestly. This could not be denied, partly left alone. When inquiring in the meantime whether the main course was tasty, indicate that you are not satisfied, again on freshness. Indicated that it was okay for us, but we left it alone. The owner came to ask for a story. In a passive aggressive manner he entered into a discussion about what was or was not fresh. He indicated that everything was fresh.. Everything freshly thrown into a pan goes in. But not fresh products. In any case, nothing from our own kitchen. We decided to pay and leave. Definitely never again, such a shame!

Nice tent at a nice location in Alkmaar via social deal. Well.... the opposite has been proven! We were not greeted and it took a very long time for them to see us. The staff were 2 girls who were very insecure and had to walk 3 times for 5 glasses! Apparently they were very sweet and helpful. For the starter I had the pizza bread with herb butter. Not much wrong with the taste other than the fact that it just tasted like salt. It came on a very dirty plate and it was a few pizza crust pieces on a plate with a dollop of herb butter, so not that great. With the main course I had lasagna and I would really advise against that! It tasted of nothing and was still nauseous after an hour. There was a slice of pink ham in the middle with more fat than should be healthy and no béchamel on it (or at least it didn't seem that way). The drinks were ridiculously expensive and the atmosphere was lacking. As a tip I would say that the staff should be a bit stronger and that perhaps some music could be played.

The food was tasteless and the service was not very pleasant. Maybe because we bought through socialdeal it wasn't the case. It all took a very long time too

Very cute little restaurant, close to the center in Alkmaar. Service very friendly and familiar. One of the tastiest pizzas we have eaten outside of Italy. If we're nearby, we'll definitely come back ❤️ great 😊

Net met mijn vader wezen eten. 2 pizza's besteld, waren best groot en lekker! Zeker een aanrader om hier avond te eten ik geef het 5 sterren!

Delicious food and friendly staff!!

Good Italian food, but the service was a bit different than the first time. The first time full glasses of wine, spicy Bruschetta, etc. This time bottom glass of wine, corrected by the chef, bruchetta watery, caramel ice cream for 7 euros with only 1 scoop of ice cream while the neighbors had Dame Blanche with 2 scoops of ice cream...too bad the 2nd time which was disappointing.

The food is cheap, but also very mediocre. No cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. Won't be coming back again

If only I had read the reviews about delivered meals...The pizza bases were made of cardboard, undercooked and unsalted. The topping was skimpy. The pizza was really tasteless, a Dr.Oetker pizza tastes even better. Don't understand why nothing is done about the taste/saltiness when so many reviews mention this. Delivery was also later than stated. Too bad, we tried but we won't order from here again. Ps: before I also receive a response indicating that my name is not known; we ordered under my partners name.

What a super tasty pizza. Really great.

Two days in transit in Alkmaar and both days for dinner at La Famiglia: really like being a guest in an Italian family: small, familiar, hospitable and very tasty. Homemade pizza Vincente, Diabolo or lasagna Bolognese or lasagna Gorgonzolla with a delicious beer and support and service even in German - really nice. Thank you very much for that!

Delicious pizzas! Delivery neat and on time. Highly recommended!

Have pizzas delivered. Inedible, really bad and dirty, dough very tough and weak, no taste. I really expected more from this! I won't order from here again, a waste of my money. Not recommended!

The "chef" harassed me online and told me he worked here. Wanted to bring it up

Surprisingly, the decor could be better, but the food was delicious and the service was friendly and excellent, price-quality excellent

Great family restaurant. Hardworking staff.delicious pizzas. Atmosphere excellent. As a closing drink with the owners. Absolutely great!!!

Nice Italian restaurant, nice staff.

This is my second order from this pizzeria and this time I was very disappointed. The order arrived at home quite quickly, but the way the pizza was burnt was very unpleasant. It was sad that they, seeing the pizza was so burnt, still decided to serve it to us. The pizza itself was good but how much of it was burnt and inedible was very sad.

The food is always delicious and I have ordered online before, so I left 5 stars every time. The staff are also friendly and helpful. There is only one thing and that is that white wine is sold via home delivery for 20.00 that can be purchased at Jumbo for 2.40! I must say that this is a bad thing, because that is simply not possible.

Waited over an hour for the food. Fortunately the food was tasty.

We thought we would eat a pizza, but I have never had to wait so long for my food. Fortunately, we first ordered a sandwich as a starter, which was only served half an hour later. The pizzas were only in front of us an hour and a half after arrival. The restaurant looks like a sterile, atmosphereless classroom with furniture that really needs to be replaced. Furthermore, some insulation or a draft curtain would not be an unnecessary luxury. What a cold! I don't think it's normal that people around us just wear scarves and even their coats out of poverty. People of La Famiglia, it is a real shame that your restaurant is so without atmosphere and cold and that people have to wait so long for their food. You should benefit from the fact that you are the only small-scale, accessible pizzeria in Alkmaar. We won't be coming back here again, even though the food was quite good. Too bad.

We waited 45 minutes for our starter (sandwich with herb butter and eggplant dish). Many pieces of bread were burnt; the eggplant was tasty. After this we waited a long time for the main course. The main courses were fine. Service was friendly and did their best.

Ordered 3 pizzas, focaccia, bruschetta and carbonara and drinks total of €78.00 Every single dish was horrible. Specifically: All pizzas were cold, the dough was not handled properly (cooked from cold) and ingredients were not sliced thinly but uneven chunks; therefore, the end result was pizzas with a chewy / stale dough, and vegetables that tasted like they were boiled. There was no love or care on these pies. The focaccia was embarrassing to look at (see image in aluminum foil). How can that piece of cracker be called a focaccia? There was not even a sprinkling of sea salt or any type of herb. Plus it was baked like it was a crispy cookie. I thought it was a stale piece of pita bread that was re- baked. Supposedly it came with herb butter. Well, no - it was a very old garlic smelling type of margarine. The Carbonara portion was small, cold, no seasoning, maybe a tablespoon of really runny sauce at the bottom of the bowl. It was overcooked pasta and no flavour at all! Very disappointing. Also …. There were pieces of spaghetti and tagliatelle in my carbonara!!! I don’t know about anyone else but I find it gross to think that other dishes were made using either the same pan or the strainer wasn’t properly cleaned before making this order. The bruschetta … €10 for very 4 thin slices of stale bread that wasn’t even grilled or baked. It looked like crostini not bruschetta. No olive oil - how can any type of Italian cooking not have plenty of Italian olive oil and fresh herbs. The tomato con case tasted like a plain tomato salsa with tons of garlic. Overall - I’m amazed there are so many good reviews about this place. Do people know how to eat? Folks - respect your hard earned money - do not settle for mediocre or bad. Food is supposed to be an experience!

Atmospheric and cozy restaurant, very friendly service, and the food is delicious!! The flavors are so well balanced, both the pizza and pastas and even the dessert. I have eaten at many different Italian restaurants in the region, but this one is hands down the best. You can taste that the food is cooked authentically and with passion.

Visited here last week as I was in Alkmaar for the weekend. We sat down, place was half full but it looked nice. We ordered a drink and had to wait 20 minutes to be handed a menu for food, we really should have left. On top of that, it was another 20 minutes before our food order was actually taken. The food did come quick and the drinks were really nice.

Cozy family atmosphere with children's drawings on the wall. Ordered on site and taken home. It was ready within 10 minutes so that was very nice. The pizzas went into the box piping hot, but unfortunately once we got home they had already cooled down considerably. Tastes fine, a bit bland compared to most other pizzas. We didn't taste any pesto on the pesto pizza. We had a nice meal, but next time we will try a different pizzeria. Ps maybe a good tip to the kitchen staff, invest in a good olive oil.

Slecht, dramatisch restaurant. Meer dan één uur gewacht voor één pizza, een niet eens lekker. Geen aanrader.

After a well-arranged reservation, we thoroughly enjoyed a very tasty and lovingly prepared surprise menu by the very friendly 'chef'. Enjoy special dishes with delicious fresh ingredients! Grazie!!

Had dinner at la famiglia for the first time tonight. We were warmly welcomed and had a voucher from the wonderbox. Cristian served us delicious dishes. We felt welcome. Many thanks. Will definitely come back again

Just worried. Pizzas tough dough. Tagliatelle salmono with no taste, shame. Service excellent and also delivery.

Food was good! We found the atmosphere a bit less!! Service was very young.

Lasagna lukewarm, pizza base black... No recommendation

2 waitresses who can't serve, a chef who doesn't understand his craft, neither when making the pizza dough nor when topping it nor when refining it with magic ingredients like salt... The ambience was miserable, everyone around us was also disappointed. It's a shame but that was nothing...

The operation is so slow that it is quite possible to solve one of the mathematical puzzles while waiting. The noise level of what feels like 110 decibels isn't helpful, but it's okay. About the food: The pizza tasted slightly like wet cardboard, although wet cardboard is probably better. Admittedly, the raw ham on the pizza was very tasty. End. The bad food coupled with the slow service and the noisy ambience means that next time I will rather eat a ready-made pizza raw than eat in this restaurant again. -------- The operation is only carried out so that the heel of the heel is good and the puzzles are lost. The sound level of 110 decibels is never beforehand, but it can also be used. About this: the pizza is delivered to the cardboard box, the cardboard is also better. Toegegeven, the rough ham on the pizza was great. Einde. The bad thing in combination with the great service and the lawful ambiance is that the following people love a square pizza and then we get it in the restaurant.

The food is bland and sometimes comes cold. Service is not available. Unfortunately for me as an Italian it doesn't deserve a star.

The interior has unfortunately been adapted ... the old style had more atmosphere ... enthusiastic kitchen

Over 1 hour for a single order, +- 1km far. So afterwards checking the food, not worthy

Nice people but dishes were late, not good. Staff were arguing among themselves. The service was overtired and (perhaps unintentionally) short. Shame.

Came here today via Social Deal, had a delicious meal. Cute little place run by a hard-working entrepreneur.

Very tasty food and very friendly service!

Really delicious Italian cuisine

Came in, first waited a long time for the table, then had to wait a long time for drinks, then we got 2 glasses of drinks instead of 4. (it was not busy in the restaurant) there was a group of tourists who were continuously served After 25 minutes we were able to pass our food 1 starter came after 30 minutes and the other after 40 minutes. So not at the same time. Our food, the pizzas, tasted okay, but we waited 75 minutes for them. The pasta, on the other hand, is a bit better. But, sorry, this Italian should provide better service to multiple guests and not focus on 1 table. They also run without a tray, which means they can't serve right away. The service and kitchen still have a lot to learn. Was the last time for me

It was a good choice to eat here, nice witty waitress, tasty pizza and good beer.

Excellent tasty pizzas. The pizza la familiga is particularly recommended. The pasta aglio e olio with extra garlic is also recommended. The location is cozy. The service is friendly.

Cozy little restaurant, delicious food, child-friendly and friendly service.

Social deal consumed here. Very good food. Beautiful fresh products and honest flavors. Recommended

Cozy little restaurant with nice staff and tasty food.
