A very beautiful and well-kept space. Friendly and attentive service. And the food is spectacular. The menu is small but very special. The burrata is delicious. The truffle pasta is delicious, and the macaroni and salsiccia are delicious. For us, the linguine with basil pesto was a little strong, but still very delicious. I want to thank the dining room and kitchen staff for lighting candles to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our little one (my 2-year-old daughter) was falling asleep, and we couldn't wait for dessert, but the surprise was still great. We ate inside, but they have a lovely terrace in the inner courtyard.

La Liguria was a wonderful surprise, warm, bustling, and full of charm. I had the chef’s special of the day, and it was spot-on: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Paired it with a crisp glass of white wine that the staff recommended, and it really brought the whole dish together. The service was friendly and attentive without being overly formal, which made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance, lively enough to feel vibrant, but still intimate enough for conversation. I finished with the tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and perfectly balanced, not too sweet, just how I like it. You can tell they put real thought into every part of the menu.

Excellent Italian for a very cosy lunch in the garden at the back. The octopus and the spaghetti with lobster and the wine selection and service were very nice and pleasant.

Had a delicious 4 course dinner. Very nice atmosphere on the garden terrace and nice service! Everything feels authentically Italian and they have a huge wine range that is presented in the 'wine bible'. Definitely recommended.

Food was fine, not a high flyer, despite new ownership. English is the main language. Portions were sufficient, the flavors are not really special or exaggerated, rather tasteless.

We visited this restaurant a few months ago and had a fantastic experience. Last week, during our day trip to The Hague, we decided to return—and it did not disappoint. This place is a gem! Authentic Italian cuisine, a beautifully designed interior, a great ambiance, and warm, welcoming staff. The food was absolutely fabulous. As a welcome, we were served arancini balls filled with an artichoke cream—it was to die for. The risotto with Taleggio was another winner, rich and full of flavor, with a surprising tweak of Amarena cherries that created a perfect balance between the Taleggio cheese and the creaminess of the risotto. We also loved the relaxed atmosphere—no rushing, just a leisurely meal to truly savor. This time, we noticed a few new menu items, which we tried, and they were just as outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're shopping on Noordeinde!

the best dinner of the month hands down! fantastic service, very attentive and friendly. absolutely delicious Italian food. we had lobster pasta, steak, green risotto, white fish and tiramisu. everything was divine. I wish I could travel back in time to try it again! I would recommend everyone to go for a tasting menu. we were also offered limoncello on the house. grazie mille! 😍🥂

Aglio olio was about 10 euros for a child's portion, and it was a lot of food and delicious.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. It wasn't bad, quite flavorful, passable. But it simply lacked the refinement and flavor level you expect for these prices and reputations. I had the Vitello tonnato. I found it rather meager, especially compared to what I've had at other Italian restaurants, where the veal was thicker-cut and much juicier. These were rather dry, thin veal flakes in the famous tuna sauce. The sauce itself was tasty, but it really lacked the kick I was expecting. The tagliolini with black truffle and sage. Well, you expect a flavor explosion here, including the truffle and sage. But honestly, I tasted very little of the truffle here. At home, I often cook with dried sage, and it's a really dominant flavor. But here I tasted it, very mildly, and with a lot of effort and imagination in the background. Contrary to what you're craving, this is a really mild dish, leaning heavily on the cheese sauce. At first, I really doubted whether the correct dish had been brought... I've read that the desserts here are very good. I had the tartelletta alla nocciola. Quite tasty, but just a bit small. For 14 euros, you'd expect a substantial dessert. But this is light, and you finish it in five bites. And then you've spent about 75 euros. For what I consider a rather meager meal. Sorry, maybe just bad luck with the dish choices or something. But I won't be spending my hard-earned money here again. The service was very friendly, and we were well-helped with a suitable wine for the Vitello tonnato. I do expect, however, that you could at least name the grape variety or the type of cheese... instead of just describing the most characteristic flavor (lemon-like and minerally). But we'll just overlook that. Friendliness makes up for a lot.

My girlfriend went here. Food was ok. She did not find it that special honestly. She loved the bread that was offered. Her waiter was friendly but overall service was not so professional. Please take care of the small things in the service, people notice it all :). I saw the bill and was not cheap

We had a wonderful evening at La Liguria restaurant! The young waiter was super friendly and helped us very well throughout the evening. The wine knowledge of the staff was particularly striking – the wine list is great and the perfect wine was recommended to us quickly and expertly. The quality of the food was excellent, every dish was perfectly prepared and a delight for the senses. Slightly more expensive, but definitely worth every cent. The atmosphere in the courtyard was simply wonderful – a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the food. What also struck us was how attentive the staff was towards wheelchair users. All in all, a restaurant that we absolutely recommend!

Wij waren hier op een mooie zomeravond en maakten gebruik van de tuin. Een heerlijk plekje midden in Den Haag. Mooie wijnen en heel vriendelijk personeel. Niet naar toegaan voor een pizzaatje of pastaatje, want het is niet zo'n soort restaurant.

Starke Küche und sehr aufmerksames Personal. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und sogar beim Auswahl des Weins hatten wir fachkundige Informationen.

Other than beautiful setting, there are not many other good things to be said about this place. We went for a fine lunch, ended up 120eur short, cold and stiff from sitting at a crooked table, and highly frustrated. The food is overpriced but tolerable (except for the revolting tiramisu) however the poor service makes the overall experience really bad. The place is awfully mismanaged: how convenient you are as a guest is secondary, the important is what is convenient for the staff. They do not care to clean tables after guests leave for over an hour. On a Sunday afternoon, we chose one of many tables still full of dirty plates and glasses, in the hope someone would come to clean and take our order. We waited 20 minutes only to have a teen-looking waiter command us to move to another, uncomfortable crooked table with stained cloth... They wouldn't move the dirty plates, they move guests instead! The dishes still stayed untouched for another half an hour... Later things only got worse. They kept forgetting our orders (entree, main course, dessert, coffee), calling someone in to request another item was almost impossible (all staff were eating at that point, except for two who were busy talking to each other - another 30 minutes gone). This place has long forgotten what HOSPITABILITY is about and runs on the snobbish prestige of the old days, while the level of service is below all criticism.

I visited the place last Friday (June 28th, 2024). Good food, and a cosy place. An exciting variety of Italian wines. It seems that the service should be improved: we had to ask four times for a bottle of water, nobody asked if everything was ok, and one of the desserts was extremely tough, impossible to eat ( they replaced the dessert, which was good). To be fair, despite these setbacks, most of the food was tasty and well-served.

Extremely poor service! The resturant was quite crowded and ill staffed. Apparently there was some kind of glitch in the kitchen which distracted the staff away from serving. Through-out the meal, nobody came around to ask how the meal was, waited for a bottle of water for over 30 min, pasta was served but no Parmesan cheese topping, no one asked if we needed anything😢😢😢 We were seated in the corner of the patio and literally ignored and had to shout out to get attention. Wanted dessert but had to wait to get attention. They didn’t offer coffee service and we finally got fed up and decided to leave. The quality of the food was not commensurate with the high price. The desert of the day - lemon cake was literally as hard as a hockey puck which we finally sent back. The only saving grace was the nice atmosphere in the back patio on a sunny day! But watch out - avoid the far left table as it got really chilly as the sun went down and unlike the rest of the patio there was no heater.

Ok, there's no arguing about the taste. But I find it deeply sad and shameless that they serve half a cooked eggplant with a little white sauce on top as Melanzane. And the risotto was definitely not to my taste.

So far the worst Italian restaurant I have been to in Den Haag. No taste, but am not surprised as the food come too fast. People enjoying this have probably never been to a good Italian restaurant. And the bill at the end does not reflect at all the quality of the food... very expensive for this quality. Think twice before going there...

Food was good, but not very special and the food was not very hot. Staff does not speak Dutch, but was friendly. Value for money... pay a lot, eat little. Got home and got some snacks from the cupboard. For the price charged you can expect more. Will not be a 2nd visit to this restaurant, there are better alternatives.

Three course lunch in the garden. Great location, great wine and delicious bread with good olive oil. Less good was the starter (stinky cod) and the main course (tough piece of sirloin steak). The amount for the menus on the bill was Euro 8 too high. Very annoying to discuss this. Doesn't deserve a nomination for best Italian restaurant.

la Liguria is an excellent restaurant. Delicious food, although: 3 very small scallops for €20? , and drank. Now comes the inevitable but..., Service only spoke English and some of course also Italian, no problem. However, I think that you can politely indicate that you do not speak Dutch. Furthermore, I missed the Italian hospitality/spontaneity. What more, very tasty!, bread A caffè without a cookie, a second caffè or something similar. or a limoncello or grappa. For me it's about the gesture and not about the receiving. That should actually be possible given the high price for the not too large portions that you ultimately have to pay?

A very nice restaurant with great service and delicious food. The portions are not very big and I would say that the prices are high. But we really enjoyed our lunch there!

3rd time in 1 year. Always a party. Delicious food and super hosts and women. Here people enjoy their work and pay attention to products and guests.

Celebrated my 40th birthday here. The tartufo had a truffle predominance and otherwise little flavor. The portion was way too small. My wife had pointed cabbage, it was also too small and barely any vegetables. Starter size. My father-in-law had the filetto manzo. Served without pasta or potatoes. Too small... for desert a tiramisu tastes good, but also much too small. My wife had indicated in the reservation that it was my birthday and whether they could do something fun with dessert. Didn't do anything... €300 was withdrawn and I didn't go home satisfied... La misseria for my birthday... I am Italian myself and know what Italian should be....

Heerlijk gegeten met vier volwassenen. Van te voren een tafeltje gereserveerd. Ook al kwamen we een beetje vroeg en was de zaak nog maar net open, toch was daar een gastvrij ontvangst. Zowel de voorgerechten als hoofdgerechten waren lekker. We hebben een leuke avond gehad.

Extraordinair! Alle gerechten waren uitmuntend. De wijn uit Bolgheri was heerlijk, na hulp van de sommelier omdat we niet konden kiezen uit 2 iets verschillende, ook passend bij al onze gerechten. (Exceptioneel veel keus aan Italiaanse wijnen van wijnhuizen uit Venetië t/m Sicilië, zeg maar. Wauw!) Had ik al gezegd dat het eten simpelweg voortreffelijk was? Bij dezen nog maar een keer; heerijk! Volgende keer Den Haag weer. Prijs-kwaliteit is verrassend. (150 Euro met z’n tweeën, voor 3-gangen en ‘n goede fles wijn). Kortom: Ríght on!

At my first visit I received complenentary arancini balls. Duringvmy second visit, when I brought my wife, only the tables both sides of us received these balls. I did not comolain as to not spoil what was supposed to be a special evening. Secondly, I ordered the white ragu with casarecce pasta. However, it was fafalle pasta. The waiter made no attempt to explain the discrepancy. So I have to assume the owbers/chef does not know the difference. It is potentially a good restaurant be it for a lack of consistancy, knowledge of pasta and waiters with lack of spontaneity and knowledge.

Eten niet slecht, maar niet speciaal om nog eens te willen bezoeken. Kleine porties ook. Met 2 geweest. Eten van mijn partner waren ze vergeten, en werd dan pas gemaakt. Dus moest ik alleen eten. Wel een leuke gezellige sfeer/interieur (enkel de achtergrondmuziek niet altijd toepasselijk). Er zit meer in om het beter te maken!

The food is great and the service friendly and knowledgeable. Especially their house sommelier John provided us with some great wine. It was a blow out dinner with three different wines and multiple courses, so it was priced accordingly - but well worth the money. Bravo!

Zo jammer,voorgerecht en wijn was prima. Bij het hoofdgerecht ging het mis,was absoluut niet mogelijk om de vis zonder zout te bestellen,om over de groente maar niet te spreken,verschrikkelijk zout! Zou niet moeilijk moeten zijn om groente zonder zout te bereiden.

Was in t verleden (veel) beter. Prijs/kwaliteit niet in balans, ging met trek van tafel, tempo van bediening was hoog en geen Nederlands. Geen complete gerechten, weinig keus en zeer gericht op veel geld verdienen.

Best meal i had in my twenties, the service amazing the food splendid, i cant get passed the tiramisu, its a chefs kiss for meat,(as for most of Italian restaurant i think you should communicate with them how well cooked u want your pasta, they are so open about it)

Great food, nice people, nice garden!

The service is attentive and punctual, there is never a need to call their attention to request something. The kitchen is very simple in preparation, but the ingredients are of the highest quality, from the fish (obviously) to the side dishes. This is not a purely tourist proposal, but aimed at those who want to dedicate an evening dedicated to feeling good and pampering themselves. I recommend it above all to couples who want to treat themselves to a romantic moment, also considering the location (very nice in summer with the outdoor tables in the internal courtyard). Also offers excellent wines, which can be the most representative (contextualized to the environment and the menu, of course) of the Italian territory.

Achter in de tuin gegeten. Het is daar sfeervol. Bij hitte "vechten" om een plek in de schaduw als je vroeg bent. Eten is echt goed bereid. Personeel is vriendelijk en servicegericht. Wel verloopt de communicatie niet altijd goed als het in het Engels moet. Prijs-kwaliteit is redelijk.

Il ristorante la Liguria, location, comfort e accoglienza di prim'ordine. è dotato di un personale educato è preparato nel settore della ristorazione. la materia prima di qualità e freschezza, la presentazione in cui lo Chef presenta i suoi piatti, fanno sì che questi , rappresentano il meglio della cucina italiana . Inoltre è fornito di una carta dei vini eccellente, di cui ogni singolo vino, prima di essere servito, viene dettagliato nelle caratteristiche e nei luoghi dove le uve vengono coltivate. Lo consiglio a chi trovandosi all'estero, voglia sentirsi per una sera come a casa propria.

Don't mistake this for just another Italian place. The pasta's were amazing, and so we're our desserts. If you are looking for a simple meal it might be a bit pricy here, but for a great Italian dinner you will be right at home here.

Just the best time eva! The young man who was our sommelier was knowledgeable, helpful, and ever so nice in guiding us in our wine choices. The young lady who served our food was most attentive to our needs, but not at all intrusive. The wine selection was excellent! Could not recommend the restaurant more highly! Buon apetito!

Such a special experience, perfect date night. Service was great, food and wine pairing was perfect, and the dessert was memorable. I'd recommend LA Liguria to any couple. Would be a regular if we were local.

I was happy to select this place to celebrate my anniversary, as a good friend highly recommended it, but it really didn't meet my expectations at all. I had the Fregola sarda scampi e gamberi as a starter and it was flavorless and unbalanced, it didn't suit at all with the sauce. My main course was the filetto di manzo and the filetto was extremely underdone. The mashed sweet potateos were cold and the vegetables could have had a pinch of salt at least. I will think twice before choosing this place again for such an important ocasion.
