Our first meal after arriving in The Hague was at this cozy Italian restaurant we spotted near our hotel—thanks to its great Google reviews. And it truly didn’t disappoint! 🍕✨ The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. I ordered the Pizza Valle d’Aosta, and our lovely waitress Linda kindly offered to make it a smaller size (I joked it couldn’t be bigger than my face, otherwise I’d never finish it alone 😅). Overall, a great experience—tasty food, friendly service, and a place I’d happily recommend. I might even return during my stay here in The Hague! 🇳🇱🍴

A very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and authentic food. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy good Italian cuisine. High chairs are available for children, as well as a wide selection of children's dishes.

We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. The pizza Margherita was a mess and completely soggy. Instead of Italian salsiccia, as advertised on the menu, we got Dutch fast food bratwurst. What they serve there has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. On top of that, the prices are unreasonably high. We would never go there again.

The food arrived within a reasonable time, and the portions were generous and filling. We found the option to make reservations directly via Google Maps particularly convenient. The outdoor area is truly pleasant and invites you to linger.

A modern yet traditional pizzeria with friendly and authentic staff. A very relaxed atmosphere, mostly frequented by locals. We were lucky to get a table for two. Reservations are highly recommended. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We opted for a calzone and a 4-cheese/salami pizza, which are highly recommended.

It's always a pleasure to eat at La Piazzetta. We were made very welcome and the service was impeccable. Fresh produce, very well-prepared and generous dishes, and excellent value for money. An Italian restaurant you absolutely must visit!

I ordered a calzone pizza and a peach iced tea and both really exceeded my expectations. The pizza had a soft, well-baked crust with a rich and balanced filling, and the iced tea was fresh and not overly sweet, just really pleasant. What impressed me most was the overall attention to detail. Nothing felt rushed or careless, and there was a quiet sense of pride in how everything was done. I left genuinely satisfied and impressed, and I’ll definitely be coming back. A place worth recommending without hesitation.

My favorite Italian!!!! The pasta vongole was a bit too spicy according to my Italian girlfriend. I loved it. The pizza is of Neapolitan quality. Great. Dish with potato and fish was so-so. The coffee was great again. Nice staff. Highly recommended. 25-2-2023: Went back for lunch. Still an absolute favorite. The smells alone. Foccacia with tuna. GREAT!!! 6-9-2023. What a beautiful restaurant! The food here is truly fantastic. Every time a party on your plate. The staff is incredibly friendly and really pays attention to the details, which makes you feel welcome right away. I have now tried all the dishes and believe me: you lick your fingers with every dish! The pizzas in particular are an absolute must; I have rarely tasted them so well prepared. Are you in the vicinity of the Frederik Hendriklaan? Then you really have to visit this restaurant. You will not regret it! A real recommendation for anyone who loves good food and hospitality.

Lunch Panini sandwiches (veal fillet with tuna) taken with a glass of Vermentino. The taste was fine, but for 17 euros very expensive, the glass of Vermentino was 10 euros. They are pricing themselves out of the market like that! That would be a shame ….

Delicious and pure Italian dishes. Beautifully and originally served. Fine restaurant with an open and light interior. You can also sit outside and enjoy the menu. The lunch dishes, including the sandwiches, are of exceptional quality with delicious fresh ingredients.

Smaller pizzeria but very hospitable. We came with 8 people without a reservation. After we had already asked in several other restaurants and were unable to get a seat, this was made possible for us here. The restaurant was also busy and there wasn't actually a table available for 8 people. But through some restructuring, which happened relatively quickly, a table for 8 people was organized. The staff were consistently pleasant and friendly and the food was delicious. It was definitely worth it.

Friendly place with a relaxed vibe and with decent Italian food, and run by actual Italians. I had a lasagna and a small side salad and was also given complimentary bread, which was a nice touch. The lasagna was nice, but it could have been a bit more seasoned. Good enough for a repeat visit if I’m ever in the area again.

We had dinner here a few nights ago. The food is absolutely amazing. If I were to choose a single dish, it would be a really hard decision. I had to try from every dish that was brought to our table and nothing disappointed. Service is exceptional, good arrived quick and for a Tuesday evening, place was full, so I would say that people love to come here, and for a good reason.

What a wonderful discovery, this pizzeria! The food was really delicious - you can taste that everything was prepared with care and love. The atmosphere is cozy and a bit living room-like; the tables are quite close together, but that contributes to the cozy, warm vibe. It's like sitting down at someone's home for a good meal. The service was friendly and attentive. In short: highly recommended if you fancy good food and a nice evening out!

Excellent and fast service in a pleasant Italian restaurant. The pizza quattro stagioni was decent, and would have been excellent with a much better base. Now he was limp as cloth and squishy. A waste of good cheese, sauce and ingredients!

Too bad: reserved on January 27 for February 12, 2025 on the restaurant's own website. Upon arrival on February 12, the employee said: I cleared the (our) system on January 10 for the reservation of a wedding. Well I could go again, no alternative or anything. Sent him an email, also in Italian, but no response. I don't think it's style and customer unfriendly. Shame.

We have eaten here several times. Mostly delicious pizzas (see addition below), great pasta and mostly friendly service. We might come back again. Addition January 25: Received a burnt pizza today, replacement was not possible. The apology was mediocre.

Best carbonara north of Bergamo

Cozy restaurant and nice service. Had a delicious lunch. A spaghetti carbonara and a spaghetti with fish. Good wine and a nice Italian beer. We have now been there again. The menu has been expanded and they now also have delicious tap beer.

In my opinion, many reviews are self-referential, it is not clear how it can have such a high rating. In fact we went there for that, an Italian restaurant with a good reputation. Let's start by saying that pizza is something embarrassing, a sticky, hard to digest and salty dough. The cuisine is a bit better, but talking about Italian cuisine is humiliating for Italy. Food useful for survival, poorly prepared and not very tasty. We also had some disappointments with the service, which was slow and not very courteous. The location is passable. Anyone looking for a (real) Italian restaurant should go elsewhere, this is not the right place!!!

Great food, great place, excellent service

Messy and rushed service, three different people at our table. There was a lack of atmosphere and it was freezing. We were shivering from the cold waiting for our food. The food was okay but not very special. We wouldn't come here again.

While a colleague and I had to wait for help from the ANWB to start our car, we sat down here for dinner. When our drinks had just been put on the table, we received a call from the ANWB that they had already arrived. So we could no longer sit there and had to quickly get to our car. The restaurant employees understood our situation and let us go without charging us for our drinks. So I can't share much about the food, but the friendliness is good!

Based on the many positive reviews, we had high expectations, but unfortunately these were not met. The panini with vitello tonato barely contained any tuna mayonnaise but an abundance of arugula, the ratio was off. The other panini had huge blocks of gorgonzola and barely any tomato, a lot of chewing and cheese (too) overpowering.

Food was spectacular, lovely carbonnara and ravioli, panna cotta was also terrific. Waiter was VERY proffesional and polite, overall a perfect date night, recommended to my friends and i WILL come back again. Buon lavoro!

La Piazzetta di Lauro is located on a beautiful corner of Frederik Hendriklaan and Antonie Duyckstraat, and has a cozy terrace in front of the door. On the evening we were there, the atmosphere inside was lively and the place was well filled. The decor is quite simple, with a bar at the entrance and a long room full of tables. There is room for larger groups in the back, with a large mirror on the wall. The lighting could have been a little softer for more atmosphere, but that was not a major problem. The menu offers a wide choice of Italian classics such as antipasti, pasta fresca, and delicious secondi. We chose the Ravioli di Verdure alla Crema di Noci and the Ravioli di Verdure Sugo di Pomodoro e Ricotta Salata. Both dishes were fantastic! You can really taste the care they take and it almost feels like you are in Italy for a moment. The portions were generous and the flavors were perfectly balanced. To finish we had the Panna Cotta and the Crema di Tiramisu con Fragole. Both desserts were delicious and provided a perfect end to the evening. Also nice: you can order different wines by the glass. The service was warm, friendly and truly Italian hospitable. All in all a pleasant and tasty experience at La Piazzetta di Lauro. I've driven past it many times and it always looked tempting – and now I know it's definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended for those who love authentic Italian cuisine and atmosphere!

The spicy salami could have been a little spicier, but was still tasty. The bruschetta was an absolute highlight: generously portioned and tasted excellent. Reservation in advance is recommended.

Absolut zu empfehlen!!! Angestellte und Chef sehr freundlich, vor allem kinderfreundlich und dazu super lecker, waren gleich zweimal da. Das einzige negative ist, dass es recht teuer ist, zumindest für deutsche Verhältnisse. Für Den Haag absolut im normalen Bereich. Wer eine Pizza für 10 Euro erwarte ist hier falsch. Dafür stimmt die Qualität und der Geschmack absolut. Wirklich sehr zum empfehlen!

Hier konnte man gute Küche geniessen. Das Lokal fast ausgebucht, die Mitarbeiter trotzdem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eine tolle Pizza, schöner dünner Teich, reichlich belegt. Der offene Wein war ebenfalls eine gute Empfehlung
