Absolutely avoid, unworthy of the name "La Place"...

Save yourselves! Go to Wassenaar instead. The restaurant was really poorly run, for example, a large queue at the grill station and only 2 items being cooked at a time. It took arround 30 minutes of standing in line to get food. When we did get it it was awful. The chicken was undercooked ....... No point going on, you get the picture. The park itself, and the staff are awesome, its a shame the restaurant let's it down so badly. Wassenaar has several really good places to eat and the prices are very similar to the La Place restaurant.

Food like pre-made hamburger buns with lettuce and tomato, as well as meat that still needs to be cooked, sits out of the refrigerator for a long time. Fries and other snacks are kept warm for a long time and are really not tasty by the time you get them. It's truly awful.

What a place... We were there today, a holiday, but not super busy. The chairs are old and worn. Just like the tables. They're loose and unstable. There's no restroom. The food was terrible. I had a hamburger. It was okay. My daughters and I had a chicken burger. We had chicken thigh fillet that was either ready in the refrigerator or "warm" on the warming tray. My daughters' and my chicken were cold. Not even lukewarm, but really cold. We went back. The "chef" threw the meat onto the baking tray without checking if it had been eaten. And he had already told him that it had. Well, they came off and new ones went on. We got new buns. This meat was somewhere between cold and lukewarm. (I didn't feel like complaining again, so I ate it. But for €10 for a burger (without fries), I'd expect a hot meal.) We won't be eating here again!

Not even worth one star. The food was incredibly poor quality; it was already cold before we even got to the checkout. We paid a lot for very little quality. Worst restaurant experience we've ever had.

Why would I pay €4.50 for a cappuccino at Duinrell, without service, self-service, in a disposable cup, without a cookie, at filthy tables, with trash on the floor, and dirty restrooms? In the center of The Hague, you can have a cappuccino on a nice terrace for €3.20. With service, with tableware. That's beyond me.

If I could give 0 stars, I would give -1. This was unbelievably bad from the start. The queues are out of control, completely understaffed and the food was so bland. €10 for a small bowl of kids pasta (plain) and €18 for a cold burger and chips? I feel sorry for the poor guy making burgers for about 20 people at a time. It's so rushed. Be careful as you're not told about chips with the burger. I assumed €11.50 was for a meal which seems adequate but it's €5 for chips alone (see image of soggy burger). In the time it took waiting for said burger I was able to bring my son to the toilet twice. It's my first day at Dunreill (staying for 7 nights!). Ive seen the bad reviews of restaurants here and I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

The workers were wonderful, but La Place puts insanely high prices for the portions they give you. If you're hungry, go somewhere else.

The wait time is unbelievably long. The staff seem to be moving in slow motion. Yes, there are customers, but not nearly enough to justify waiting an hour for three simple burgers. I’ve truly never experienced anything like this before!

Eat its really good . But I don't understand why the staff sweeps the first floor and then the same brush on the table on which guests eat. It's disgusting. This is really jong man.

Never had such poor service and quality for such prices. You expect to pay a little more at a park, but the quality must also be good. This is not the case anywhere at Duinerell, expensive prices and then small cold portions. Service is terrible, people literally fry one hamburger at a time because otherwise they wouldn't be able to handle it all. Very bad for a park with such expensive prices.

We ordered fries. Only it was very cold. We had it back again. Then the staff was very angry with us. We then got new fries and they were quite fine.

My biggest complaint is the price. We had lunch with 2 families (8 people), for which we paid more than 100 euros. We didn't have much special. The prices are really ridiculously high! Never again!

Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. Although the dishes were attractively presented and the portions were attractively large, the hamburgers were not convincing in terms of taste. The meat was full of gristle and difficult to eat.

Expensive food and then eat with wooden cutlery and plate because of the sandbox outside. 😟 Loud music is also unpleasant. Cashier looks like she's an intern; very subdued and doesn't have the pace to keep up with everything.

Just had to wait 10 minutes to pay for my coffee. There was no pace at all and the line kept getting bigger. People order coffee but they act as if they didn't understand. Bad thing for such a big name as la place

We ate at the Chicken & Ribs restaurant, but we didn't really like it. Soggy fries/fries, and little atmosphere. The staff itself was nice.

I ordered an apple slice, but there was no whipped cream on it, which is EXTREMELY OUTRAGEOUS! I think so. If you pay that much for it, I assume it should be as it should be!!!

Not the worst food! It does have a lot, yet not much vegetarian options. Good for lunch with friends in there. You do need to look out for wasps. Fun fact: It is the original building; built sometime in the 1800s!

Staff did not speak the Dutch language. She heats up the pizza in the oven for 30s. You will simply get this served cold. Dirty restaurant even though it was not busy. Cutlery is not replenished, you had to ask for everything. Pizza very very greasy. Cheeseburger also very greasy. Not recommended!

Unfortunately the food is not recommended. We had the pasta. A small portion for the fairly high price, both dishes lacked salt and the taste would make any Italian ashamed.

On November 26 I visited la Place in Duinrell around 15.00. An employee at the cash register of the self-service restaurant had to ask three times whether she was mentally present before she took action. Served 2 hot chocolates with whipped cream accompanied by a foot bath of chocolate milk. Colleague at the cash register was wondering if she came from another planet. I think it's on drugs. After me, a customer came with a number of drinks on her tray and 1 bottle in her hand. The lady drew the cashier's attention to that bottle 4 times and then shrugged her shoulders and paid for the drinks on the tray and asked the woman whether she had been working at la Place for long. Again received no response. Nice staff in a very messy restaurant that was not busy. I've had my fill of La Place.

Unbelievable that a la place can be so dirty. The quality is shockingly low. Trays extremely filthy. Then you just get told sorry, we don't have time for it, it's too busy. 13 euros for a bowl of fries, too much salt, also the 2nd, hamburger lukewarm/cold, drink warm. Close order and then reopen with proper staff.

I'll be honest, I haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. What a mess, for a ridiculously expensive price. Just stick to popcorn and cotton candy here.

Had a much needed pit stop. Outside the sparrows fell from the roof, so we chilled inside under the air conditioning. Luckily they also had cold drinks. That was an extra plus. Strangely enough, the toilets were very closed 🤔 that's quite strange in a restaurant. For the rest, this is very much a La Place restaurant. Complete with clearing carts, etc. We were still missing a container to put the deposit bottles in. So we now had to crush them with the residual waste 🙈

A good place to be during your holidays at Duinrell.

Bad food. There was no more cheese with the pasta. The carbonara was inedible. Disinterested staff behind the bar. And everything is very expensive. Price/quality ratio is far from correct. I will never eat here again. Next time just go to the corner. A little further on at Duinrell. Then pay a little more, but it's good. Gr van dijk dik

We ate there twice. The first time we had to wait way too long for our food. And it had no taste at all. Then we ordered 5 pizzas, well they looked like they were from the day before. Been in the oven for way too long. We missed the mushrooms. And the Hawaiians missed the pine ash. We will never eat at La Place again

Takes really long for just hamburger. Half an hour later I also forgot my order. Children's menu hamburger no sauce. They do put on gloves, but everything touches money and they have to clean their own clothes every now and then, so it's not really clean. Never run out of money again.

Overpriced and borderline in terms of taste.

What a dirty restaurant, not recommended. At the entrance there were already cobwebs covering the logo. We arrived less than half an hour after opening and it was already completely dirty. Not from previous diners but really dirty. Food took an extremely long time, I was told that the hamburgers would take a very long time so that I might be better off getting something else. Waited 10 minutes in the pasta line and heard that it was busy so it could take 30 minutes. This was even more than double while tables were not full and food was cold. La place better take off the logo here, normally it is lovely and clean.

I've never been this dissatisfied at a restaurant. When we got there, it was basically empty, the pizza's were fully unavailable for some reason, but that wasn't mentioned anywhere online, so we went there and were immediately disappointed. After going to order some cheeseburgers, we were told that all of the buns were already made (so we couldn't choose what "toppings" we wanted). The patties were also pre-cooked and were only warmed up a bit after we ordered them. The cheese that was put on the patties was the most unappealing type of cheddar I have ever seen. Onto the general meal, everything was at room temperature, in contrast to the restaurant itself, which was freezing cold. It was also €40, but in my opinion, it wasn't even worth 4. The staff was definitely not qualified for preparing any type of food, because I bet my 5 year old niece could prepare such horrible food much easier. If you go to Duinrell and this is the only open restaurant that's open, go cook yourself.

Very poor staff/service. Does not speak or understand Dutch, very dirty tables and floor. You can't eat fries. Croquettes and frikandels are certainly not warm. 9/23/22

Went to Duinrell for a week last week and ate at LA Place the first evening for convenience. It was that my wife and kids had already walked through after the lady at the cash register had knocked and they already had something in their mouths. Lukewarm fries with 2 lukewarm fricadels. €21.50!! What incredible scammers they are there!! There is a restaurant just outside the park where you can get a delicious plate of food in front of you for that amount. Definitely not recommended to eat at la Place in the park.

Great restaurant in the heart of the park.

A visit to La Place should not be missed during a day at Duinrell! Always delicious food for a good price. We always have lunch there first and after a day at the amusement park we have lunch there and then go home with a full belly. Thanks for the delicious food

I just went to get a kebab and fries at La Place outside the theme park. Was the only one at 4 p.m. Now i know why. I've never eaten anything so bad. It's a shame Duinrell can't cut corners. In general, cleanliness is also a thing in the park…

This is the place to be for cold food. Long queues at the cash register after you have received your food. And a very expensive bill. Fries 4.50 Hamburger on a soggy bun €8.95 Next time I'll skip.

Delicious dishes and plenty of choice!

Sigh, it wasn't busy, but we still had to wait half an hour before we could order a pizza. Had to place the order twice. I had a fungi pizza, but the mushrooms were gone. Then out of the refrigerator, but they were also gone. Then the pizza baker thought, I would divide 2 slices of champion on each point. I should have said something about it but I was already sooooo done here. Oh yes, a much too thick layer of tomato sauce. The pizza base with tomato sauce came from the freezer, so not freshly made, but ok. On top of that layer of sauce came another layer of sauce. Completely out of proportion and overpowering. No, sorry, we are going to eat outside the park and hope for more motivated staff.

It was a less good experience of a fun day out. Food was cold and not in relation to the price quality.

It's really sad here A dry chicken leg with some fries in a plastic container for 12€50. A total of €60 for 5 fries with a snack 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. We cry more tears than the Tiki Pool holds.

La place tiki bath. Staff completely unsuitable, a deaf woman at the cash register with no knowledge of the menu at all. A man who did not speak clearly and said we had to wait 5 minutes while we then had to wait 20 minutes. A chef who made doner without a chef's apron and that smelled throughout the entire la place restaurant. Prices sky high and the food was old and dirty due to the slow wait for service. The sauce on the doner sandwich does not spread and half of it falls out when opened. Extremely dissatisfied.

La place Tikibad. First of all, the food here is very expensive. Then we waited a long time for our food and when the machine started beeping we only got one sandwich out of three. Then the gentleman said that we had to wait another 5 minutes, which then turned into 15 minutes. In addition, the fries tasted like wet cardboard and had no salt. The donor sandwich only had sauce and salad on the side and the sandwich falls apart when you pick it up. The service was also mediocre. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Expensive food and not well prepared. All you can eat buffet. For drinks €3 per coin from which you can get 1 drink. Fries hard, steak well cooked, but really tough piece of meat, chicken cold, salad mediocre. No allergen information, you have to ask but the staff is ignorant. Unfriendly staff except for 1 man. Under 3s free, I'm standing there with a stroller with a baby in it and a girl who is just walking asks the employee if they are both under 3. Um, what do you think? Catering industry closed due to insufficient staff, but this is not communicated well. Duinrell staff say it's the place's fault, we outsource it. La place says yes, Duinrell area, so you have to contact them for a complaint. Communication between the two is therefore very poor. My advice would be to bring your own food if you go to Duinrell for a day. Never again la place for us!

There is little or no communication between La Place and Duinrell itself, both parties also admitted separately. This caused considerable confusion with opening hours, etc. For example, La Place was closed in the Tiki Pool, while it was indicated everywhere that it should be open. In the park itself, the exit suddenly became the entrance in the evening, even though there were only "exit" signs. Food was extremely expensive for what you got and with the exception of 1 person, the staff was downright unfriendly. Food was very poor considering the price. It says something about the quality if the frikandel I served for my daughter was the tastiest meat there. Rarely seen such bad restaurants.

Ordered three pizzas for 35,50, waited over an hour, only to get our pizza’s handed and packaged by someone with really dirty fingers (not from the pizza). When we opened our pizza boxes, the pizza’s had wayy too much cheese and fat (then even put cheddar cheese on my margarita and four cheese.) the pizza’s were horrible and uneatable. Went back and luckily got my money back, they didn’t even apologize. Horrible service and food, if you are reading this and planning to go here, please go somewhere else.

I thought this was a restaurant, but apparently not. Here you get your food in plastic containers, and you pay top price for that. The fries are hard and not tasty. The chicken leg was tasty, but next time I'll just go to the mac.

The fries were very hard, could have smashed a window with them, way too expensive, it is a snack bar, but much more expensive and with some tables, I would much rather go to McDonalds, where it is even cheaper and tastier. This was no class don't eat here

Weekend in Duinrell and delicious fries on Friday. Regret. Old cold fries and the chicken burger that looked very tasty in the picture turned out to be a piece of chicken on a soggy bun, a tiny bit of brown lettuce and hardly any sauce. Not to eat. And the prize was certainly not a success.

Ate at de la place in Duinrell. Ate a cheeseburger...for 8.25 euros. Ridiculous price. My daughter had a regular hamburger for 7.75 euros. So 0.50 for a slice of cheese. Hamburger buns are incredibly small and are finished in 3 bites. They are probably trying to make up for things due to the lost income due to coronavirus.

The pizzas are terrible, 4 pizzas were thrown away and hung above the toilet for an evening. 1x never again!

Anyone who wants to eat well is in good hands here It was my first time there and I found the selection very poor. Maybe it's due to Covid19. You can select the following. 1. Starter salad 2. Lasagna Vegetarian or Bolognese 3. Pizza - Margarita - Salami - Tonno - Hawaii 4. Drinks from bottles of Pepsi and co 5. Fries 6. Dessert chocolate or strawberry Then we go to the checkout and then to the seat. Cleanliness is a given as well as nice people and staff. If you have questions you will be helped.

Quite pricey for what you got.... Ham on the bone, very juicy but lukewarm, really a missed opportunity. Fries were undercooked and again lukewarm. Too bad because this menu would have been fine if it had been prepared properly. The proof not to dine in amusement parks has once again been provided for me, I thought I'd try it again....

Must massively revise the rating from last year downwards. Unfortunately it turned out very bad. Had to wait 20 minutes in front of the restaurant to find out that there was no more pizza or burgers (at 7:45 p.m., mind you). We were then allowed to queue at the day away for another 15 minutes to get food... As of 2019 Everything you need, supermarket, pub, snack bar and restaurants. Priced in the upper range

I'm very sorry, but if you no longer serve fries when it's 7 p.m. and you have to wait half an hour for the potatoes with your sirloin steak... €24 is straight away thrown away.

Food is expensive and there is little choice. There is nothing for the children to eat, not even a croquette or other snack. Snack bar was closed for Christmas, incomprehensible, this is a reason for us to do Thuisbezorgd.nl for the rest of our holiday, we thought it was a real shame. Not duinrell again next year

Stayed here last summer with Euro camps. Filled with lots to do including both a theme park and indoor/ outdoor pool there is lots to keep kids both young and old busy for days.

It was our first time in Duinrell and we were very satisfied. We'll be back next year. We booked through a partner. On the one hand, this was cheaper for us and on the other hand, we were able to travel as we pleased

Nice atmosphere. Some personnel are a bit more dynamic than others.

Young female staff slow to approach customers too busy talking to friends, was ignired twice whitest waiting to be served. Felt like they pick and choose who they decide to serve next. Not good etiquette Both my husband and I agree on this when discussing this question. Males staff quite attentive.

The food in (the sheepfold) in Duinrell was very poor. Fries and a cheeseburger were inedible. the fries were just coming on but the cheeseburger Yuck, the bread was soaked in grease the cheese on the burger was like a piece of rubber that tasted like cardboard. Hygiene of the person who was baking, unkempt long nails and beard are not really an advertisement for your restaurant. The snack tent opposite the sheepfold deserves a good 8 for good service

I visited the place for the 5th time with a long break. A number of things need renovation. Plaza below stairwell, play hall floor, this had to be possible in the winter months. The paths also urgently need to be improved, there are many deep puddles when it rains. Some of the staff don't know their way around and don't know the answers to questions. The toilets are old but were always quite clean. What really bothered us was that we purchased a consumption voucher as a card worth 60 euros. I thought it would be nice for my son to eat something in the park or for us as a family. First attempt at Pannkoekenhaus. During the payment process it was said that this was from the competition and did not apply. OK, we didn't have any cash with us, so back to the trailer. The man was kind enough to wait to prepare the pancake. The fun cost 45 euros with 3 drinks. Second attempt: the pub. With foresight, I asked beforehand. No, the great consumption menu was not valid here either. I really wonder why the card is even offered by duinrell camping. Now, on the last evening, we can see how we can get rid of our remaining balance of around 40 euros. The card is probably valid for 5 years, but we don't know when we'll come here again. This, along with the other things mentioned, makes us consider whether it is still the right place for us. A pity.

1 point for the atmosphere. The food itself took a long time (and there was really no one else in the 'restaurant'), a very long time. I thought the food was on the expensive side. If 5 people each want a different dish, it is not possible to eat there together. By the time everyone has their food, the first one has already finished while the last one has yet to start. Paying also took a very long time, so our food was really starting to get cold. The staff didn't seem to be able to find anything and actually didn't seem to know how to cook...Good for once.

Always nice here. It's also great that the park supports campaigns for charitable organizations. Just like the benefits for children with cancer yesterday.
