La Puerta in Centrum

Delivery took way too long from Nieuwstraat 91. As a result, everything was delivered cold. Given the amount (of rubbish), I just threw everything in the trash. I tried to contact them, but no response. I'll never order from them again. I went by recently to check out the kitchen, but it was filthy and greasy. The owner even sat in the doorway smoking and then preparing your food. Yuck!! Tapas with nicotine...

I had a terrible delivery experience from this place. I waited two hours for cold, tasteless, overpriced food. I called the restaurant and was rudely told they'd left the food outside without calling my phone number. I won't be ordering from here again, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

We threw the spare ribs straight in the trash; what a tough mess. It's truly unbelievable that they dare charge for this, and now we're without dinner unless we choose to order elsewhere. Money grows on our backs, after all. The patatas bravas are also disgusting. Be warned!

I waited an hour and 50 minutes for my food, only to receive cold food and a bag of food that was full of grease from the cold fries, cold spare ribs with all that grease. They dare to charge 25 euros for this with such poor quality and a long delivery time. It's abnormal, and not even an apology. After an hour, I received a call that the delivery person was still on his way to the restaurant to pick up my food.

These spareribs are so delicious! I can promise you they're the best anywhere else! Excellent service and friendly staff.

Nice atmosphere, lots of variety and good food

Ordered food on February 14th. I asked beforehand how long the delivery time was, and they said "45 minutes." After almost two hours, I received the food. The fries were cold and limp, and the ribs were the wrong kind. I called about this, and they promised me a new menu. It never arrived. Such a shame, not again.

Yesterday I drove here from Utrecht with a friend as a surprise for my birthday. We came for the spare ribs. Reservations had already been made last week and a confirmation was sent, and yesterday a reminder email that reservations had been made for that day. It is closed upon arrival. I think it's very bad that it is even possible to make a reservation for a day when you are closed. Then we only received an apology and then we drove all the way back, very disappointed. I find it quite sad that customers are treated this way.

It's a shame you made a reservation. Then you received a confirmation, and on the day itself, a reminder about your table reservation, only to arrive in Utrecht and find a restaurant that was closed. I find this so awful...

Ended up here during a day in Arnhem, through a gift for you. We had such a delicious meal, it was a complete surprise menu with 16 dishes. Allergies were also taken into account. Everything was wonderfully tender and tasty. The atmosphere was good, the staff was friendly but also very careful and neat. The restaurant looked attractive and there was pleasant, appropriate music in the background. In short, a good experience.

Recently here with my wife had a snack and a drink. Very attractive with a social deal discount. Oh well, a bottle of white wine and a glass of water are part of it. It wasn't very busy for a Friday evening. But the tapas looked good, smelled good and tasted very good. RECOMMENDED see you soon......

I have been coming here with my boyfriend for over a year and we love it! We always have unlimited tapas. The food is really tasty and served quickly. In addition, the service is always very friendly and explains everything clearly. We will keep coming back :)

Vanavond via wonderbox bij la puerta wezen eten. 16 tapas hapjes ter waarde van !! 79,90 euro!! Werd er zelfs nog bij vernoemd. Er waren 2 rondes van 8 tapas hapjes voor 2 personen. Wat viel dit tegen voor deze prijs. We konden zelf ook niet kiezen welke tapas. Groene asperges met ham waren verschrompelde gras sprietjes. De dadels in ham gewikkeld waren amper te zien in het schaaltje. Spare ribs met weinig vlees. Wrap van zalm, de wrap was hard en droog. En zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan. Voor 32,50 euro kan je daar zelfs ONBEPERKT tapas eten en dus zelf kiezen. Weinig smaak aan de gerechten. Tafeltje naast ons had ook klachten. Personeel was niet heel vriendelijk en het was er koud. Er stond namelijk een convertor kacheltje. De vloer onder onze tafel plakte enorm. Binnen 3 kwartier stonden we alweer buiten terwijl we dachten een gezellig tapas avondje te hebben die wel iets langer zou duren. Het waren hapjes voor bij een borrel met weinig smaak. We zijn hierna naar de mac gegaan en een menu besteld. Advies ga hier niet eten als je van lekker tafelen houdt!!

Very nice service, the restaurant has a cute Spanish look with Spanish music. I would rate the food a 7/10. It's fine, tasty, but not really special. I must say that the price is reasonable, so the price-quality ratio is good. Recommended: order the spare ribs and shrimp tapas. Those were the best!

We were a group of 9. We were placed on a kind of intermediate section. What feels like a waiting room. Behind the curtain, where we were not sitting, was the restaurant area which looked cozier. They don't have draft beer, but bottled beer. With each round they tried to sell lukewarm bottles. We ordered unlimited Tapas. With a choice of 1 starter. The main courses took a very long time (about an hour). And were of mediocre quality. They started with 2 large bowls of baked potatoes to fill their bellies inexpensively. The portions were also disproportionate. Lex did not know that there were 2 exits and was therefore disoriented looking for his bicycle for 2 hours.

We actually wanted to eat Tapas at the Zusje, but unfortunately it was already full. So we looked for another tapas bar and ended up at La Puerta. La Puerta is located underground in one of the many cellars in Arnhem, which I think is very nice. To my knowledge it is also the only restaurant in such a cellar. It was very cold there. Well, it wasn't very busy either, so I think that also makes a difference in terms of temperature. I actually thought it would be even busier since it was only around 6:00 PM, but it remained fairly quiet all evening. The tables were set in a tapas atmosphere with nice, attractive colored plates. Upon arrival you will immediately receive a bowl of chips with dip on the house. Because I was cold I went for a cup of tea. The hot water is in a kind of milk jug so you can pour it yourself. This way you can pour several times and the tea does not get cold quickly. I really like the idea of ​​this, although I think you can make it even more fun with nice looking single-serve teapots. This seemed more like something for breakfast in a hotel from the last century. I think that if you replace the milk jugs, the experience will be as it was intended. The choice of tea bags is also in need of an update in my opinion. The tea box was almost empty. The menu consists of a kind of folder with inserts in which the menu is placed on A4 paper. Seems smart because if the menu changes you can easily adjust it. However, a little more attention could be given to it. They are white sheets with black letters without a picture, background or a nice border. The letters are printed in different fonts and the offset is incorrect, let alone no effort has been made for a nice layout. We opted for unlimited tapas, which was cheaper than 20 tapas anyway (weird?), and you also have the choice. The unlimited tapas include a starter and a dessert. To indicate which tapas you want, we were given a piece of paper, which I think was printed and cut out myself because it was completely serif. Here too, just that little bit of attention is missing. You can always choose 5 tapas per round. The service is very fast. Both with collecting the note and with serving the tapas, that is very nice. The tapas themselves tasted ok. Just like the starters. For dessert I had a sorbet. I found the taste of the ice cream scoops to be very chemical, so I wouldn't recommend them. The price of the unlimited tapas is cheap for these times. Although I think I would rather pay a little more for more care and attention to everything. In short, it could be so much nicer/better with small adjustments. It exudes a kind of atmosphere of a dying thing. As if it is no longer necessary to put effort into it. Maybe because it's always been that way. I think an update is necessary and could make quite a difference. If it stays as it is now, it would be nice for once, but I wouldn't go there again. Arnhem is bursting with plenty of other nicer restaurants. Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

Wonderful evening at La Puerta La Puerta is an absolute must! The store is beautifully decorated, with a warm and cozy atmosphere that immediately invites you to linger. Despite the “dirty” location and entrance to the restaurant (in the basement), I really enjoyed it here! We had a tapas menu and the food was delicious! With two vegetarians in the group, the chefs had to make some adjustments, but they were great and very tasty! We did find it quite dark in that basement, and not in a romantic way. It would be nice if there were some more candles on, for example!

Service was a bit slow, we waited a long time for the starters. The next courses were served fairly quickly. It's nice that starters and desserts are included in the very reasonably priced all you can eat menu. It's also nice that there are other menu choices that are cheaper for smaller eaters/budgets! This will go down as the worst tapas we have ever eaten. Congratulations on this award! Just a quick summary of this experience; We made a reservation through Social Deal to try something different. When we got the first food I wondered if we had gotten leftovers from the regular crowd. The tapas were, in a word, unimaginative, not fresh, tasteless. An example: the bruschettas were really just a slice of bread with color. It's just amazing to use tomatoes and a few other ingredients to make a sauce with as little flavor as this. The first round of 8 tapas literally contained nothing tasty. Second round of 8 tapas, with main course-like snacks, was okay but still mediocre. The service was friendly but did not really know what to do with our opinion about the food. Furthermore, the atmosphere was not really cozy as you might expect and it smelled like poop upon entering.

The owner responded very unprofessionally to my negative review, claiming that I had not taken part in the social deal offered. Apparently the social deal stated that half of the dishes you are served are not edible. Oops, read over it! Although I don't like fish, I didn't base my review on getting fish, that would be unfair. What I am saying is that almost all dishes, with the exception of the pork tenderloin and the onion rings, were fresh and tasteless. Of course it is very annoying to read fierce criticism, but that does not mean that it is not true. So I would avoid this place.

The service was very slow, and not as friendly as you would wish. 3 pers. ate tapas, which was often lukewarm/cold. 1 of us missed 2 dishes during a round, this was not checked and therefore not resolved. The spare ribs were not marinated, which reduced the taste, the 2nd portion was tough. We would not immediately recommend eating here again.

We ordered spare ribs with home-made fries here. The spare ribs were very tender, but were not marinated, but covered in sauce, which quickly lost the taste. The home-made fries were probably not shaken when they came out of the fryer and thrown straight into the bag. It was wet with grease, and the fries were soft and limp. It could have used some salt. The best was the roll with loose herb butter, but that was just a baked roll. The bar was low.

At first we thought 'where are we going to end up'... the entrance is a bit sparse. But once inside it is a lot of fun in the special cellars of Arnhem. There appears to be another entrance, but it is not used in winter because of the draft and cold. We opted for unlimited tapas. Including starter and dessert for € 29.50. The tapas via Social Deal were not really very special, but they were tasty. I especially loved the patatas bravas. And it was more than enough. The girl at the service was sometimes a little too zealous. 😄 She came by very often and sometimes too quickly to pick up bowls and plates. But she was really very friendly. Too bad you can't see outside (it's a basement) but we knew that in advance. But it is still very pleasant to sit there. All in all we had a very pleasant evening and a great Social Deal!

We've been coming here for over 12 years now. And its always great. Highly recommend. Really friendly staff and the owner is a great and flexible guy. I might not like all the tapas, but i think thats more about taste. And i useally go for the spareribs, wich are always great.

No culinary delights, just tasty. If we may make one comment; for example, something like a small salad with a fresh dressing would have made it completely OFF. Cold in the basement? Didn't notice anything. A pleasant experience for us, so definitely do it once.

I do not advise. My boyfriend made a reservation, we came and sat for 15 minutes, no one came up to us, offered us drinks, and so on. We(15 man) hebben een hele fijne middag gehad bij La Puerta. De bediening was super! Niks was teveel en het eten beschreven in 1 woord ...GEWELDIG! Voor ieder wat wils en alles had een goed smaak. Wij komen hier zeker vaker terug!

Most of the food seemed to be ready-heated, but there were a few tasty things. We were therefore looking forward to dessert, namely warm pancakes with ice cream and chocolate sauce, but when it arrived it turned out to be Jan pancake :( In addition, it was freezing inside. Had a nice meal in this Tapas restaurant. Special atmosphere because the restaurant is located in one of the underground corridors in the city center of Arnhem.

Delicious food and excellent service. The men's toilet kept running, so we had to wait a long time to flush properly, and the toilet had run out of towels. The first cellar could exude a bit more atmosphere, similar to the 2 other cellars of La Puerta. You want to dine in these cellars in atmospheric light and not with the current bright lighting. The decoration of this first cellar could be better. A lot of dishes were broken. The entrance door to the restaurant looks old and dilapidated. This is not an invitation to enter here; especially for a restaurant that relies on social media and not in front of guests. All things considered, the price-quality ratio at La Puerta is currently not good and this results in prices that are too high for what you get. It feels too much like a takeaway restaurant and not enough like the atmospheric meeting place that a restaurant should be.

Heerlijk gegeten samen met mijn kleindochter

Vriendelijk personeel. Eten was lekker, niet héél bijzonder.. maar de verlichting was hel.. nog net geen tl balk aan het plafond, alleen al daarom ga ik niet meer. Ongezellige sfeerloze verlichting waarbij je niets ziet .. Wat een misser. Sfeer geen enkele ster Ik kom er nooit weer.

De sfeer was goed, de bediening was rommelig, de uitleg van onbeperkt tapas was niet echt duidelijk, helaas miste we soms een gedeelte van de bestelling. De varkenshaas en biefstuk was te ver doorgebakken.

Lekker eten, goeie deal voor een social deal, echter zijn de drank glaasjes ergg klein en betaal je best veel geld voor bijv. Een witte wijn of een biertje.

Wij zijn via Wonderbox bij La Puerta terecht gekomen. Het was een leuke actie om tapas te eten bij dit restaurant. Het eten was heerlijk, werd snel opgediend en was goed warm. De locatie was leuk en uniek (in een kelder) en er was een goede sfeer. Maar bovenal was er vooral uiterst vriendelijk personeel. Echt een aanrader!

Gezellige leuke avond gehad met heerlijke tapa's en drankjes erbij. Heerlijk gegeten, goede bediening. Hier gaan we vast nog eens naar terug!

Uitstekend gedineerd samen met een vriendin, karafje zoete wijn was uiterst betaalbaar en goed aan te raden, gezien er zo'n 6 glazen uit geschonken kunnen worden, eten was uitmuntend, aanbod iets kleiner dan in een gemiddelde vreetschuur, maar dat was dit dan ook absoluut niet. Bij het verlaten van een tafel werd er vlot en secuur meteen schoongemaakt en de familie doet hun uiterste best om je thuis te laten voelen, zelfs een rondleiding en wat achtergrondinfo over het ontstaan van de zaak mochten niet ontbreken. Al met al een dikke 10, voor ambiance, inzet en eten. Wij komen graag een keer terug!

Een mooie locatie om te eten, lekker knus en goede belichting. Het eten zelf vond ik matig, het smaakte allemaal als opwarm maaltijden en de dipsauzen smaakten als huismerk supermarkt sauzen. De bediening was niet heel vriendelijk, ook niet onbeleefd maar ik miste wel het stukje enthousiasme.

Het eten is helaas niet vergelijkbaar met een gemiddelde tapas restaurant. Er zat ook een haar in mijn toetje. Maar daar is de prijs ook naar je kunt bijvoorbeeld via wonderbox en social deal goedkoop eten

Gedurende de avond hier plaats genomen, er hing een gezellig sfeer en ook get personeel was erg vriendelijk. Gekozen voor tapas royaal (9 tapas) hierin zaten voor ons echt een aantal dingen die wij heel erg aanraden: de patatas bravas, calamari, chorizo en gambas. Maar ook waren er een aantal dingen die bij ons persoonlijk niet in de smaak vielen: de Biefstuk en varkensvlees medaillons waren erg droog, dit nam voor ons echt weg van de smaak. Het sausje dat bij de spareribs zat had naar ons idee niet veel smaak. Wij zouden hierzelf niet nog eens eten maar we raden wel andere aan dit te proberen omdat dit misschien iets keer bij hun smaken pallet past.

Een grappig restaurant in de historische kelders die wel een update kan gebruiken. Qua sfeer mag er worden nagedacht over de muziekkeuze en de volume hiervan. De tapas gerechtjes waren op zich prima. Personeel op 1 na was prima. Hoesten aan/over tafel en niet lege glazen afruimen is echt niet okay. Bij het weggaan werd door het personeel gefluisterd of wij wel de rekening wel hadden betaald. Komop zeg, werk samen. De dame bij wie ik had afgerekend en die de nagerechten maakte is een topper. Ik denk dat ik hier niet meer terug ga.

De keuze was minimaal. Vooral veel vettig eten, gefrituurd. Erg jammer. Ook was het ontzettend koud, zou fijn zijn als het verwarmd is. Dan zit je lekkerder. Bediening vriendelijk maar soms ook wat gehaast. Verder netjes. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Zeer goede kwaliteit,en relaxed zitten

Ben hier gekomen via social deals en hebben echt heerlijk gegeten. Had niet verwacht zoveel eten te krijgen voor dat geld, hebben een deel nog mee gekregen om later nog van te kunnen genieten. Wij hebben hier gegeten via Social Deal. Er kwamen 2 rondes tapas. Eten was goed en het restaurant was gezellig druk. Bediening was erg vriendelijk. Prijs-Kwaliteit verhouding was oke.

Met social deal hier terecht gekomen, en wat zijn we blij dat we hier hebben gegeten! We hadden dit restaurant anders nooit gevonden. Eten was perfect, de hoeveelheid meer dan genoeg en de bediening was uiterst vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader en voor herhaling vatbaar.

Was echt voor de Hollandse mond. Veel mensen zullen er van houden maar niet mijn wens. Als ik spaans ga eten wil ik spaans eten. Zelfs de wijn was niet spaans.

In la Puerta terecht gekomen dmv een bon van lunchbox dacht dit juist te hebben geregeld was dus niet zo. De kok heeft de kaart met couponnummer en pincode meegenomen en had dit binnen 2 minuten geregeld echt top dat is service. En de 10 tapasgerechten waren ook heerlijk en zeker voldoende. Bediening ook top een aanrader om daar een hapje te eten.

Hulde aan het personeel en de keuken!! heeeerlijk gegeten en een fantastische avond gehad, we hebben genoten van het eten en de bediening was ook geweldig!!! Thanx voor de superavond
