The atmosphere of the shop is very inviting. The terrace, right on the canal in summer, is very cozy. Unfortunately, the food is only okay. We've had better tapas in Utrecht.

I went with my family to the tapas. Most of the items we asked were not available even though we went on Sunday. And they didn’t serve ginger mint tea because they didn’t have ginger in their kitchen. And also they ran out of chocomel for my daughter. So it was a disappointment. And 3 medium sized shrimps in garlic oil costed 8€ which I felt bit expensive. All the portions were really small but expensive! I will think about going back again as we have plenty of Spanish restaurants in Utrecht!!

We ordered the cold platter to share; it was a bowl of vegetables with two slices of prosciutto, two mushrooms, two slices of salami, and some loose cheese and walnuts. Awful. €16 per person. They clearly don't understand the concept of a charcuterie board. Not recommended.

In short: there are better places. Nice location on the canal. Signs with outdated prices direct you where to go. Inside, there's a lot of staff with unclear roles. We ate for 5p. We had the extensive meat dish three times and the extensive fish dish twice. Almost 40 euros per person. Starter: 2.5 pieces of baguette per person with a bit of tapenade and butter. Then, a meat platter and a fish platter quickly arrived. The fish for 40 euros per person: half a salmon steak, a few shrimp with cocktail sauce ;-(, 1 sardine, and some flatfish. A few potatoes (salty!) and a spoonful of vegetables. That was it: enough to wake up hungry and go find a snack bar. Spanish is hard to come by here; it's more like a rip-off. Besides the fact that we won't be back, we also don't recommend it. I ignored the very mixed reviews, but they are justified.

We asked if they were still open so we could sit down. They said yes and then they proceeded to loudly remove tables and chairs around us for the next half hour.

Very poor service, far too expensive for the amount of money spent, and the second drink order we ordered didn't arrive for 40 minutes until we reminded three times. We also had to pay for drinks we didn't order or get.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience here. There wasn't much choice of vegetarian dishes, and what we ordered was just plain awful. It took a very long time to get our food. We mentioned our opinion and were given a discount on the bill. That was only fair. This was a while ago, though, so perhaps they've improved since then. Reading the reviews, I don't have much faith in that.

Worst tent ever!! Takes an incredibly long time and when you get something you still get it half frozen. Very expensive for what they give! Absolutely not recommended!!

I really think it's a shame that a rude and rude manager works at La Senorita, while I am a serious customer and I immediately ordered something, but I find the way he addresses people super rude. I have several shops in Utrecht and we treat customers very nicely because according to our policy the customer is king, especially if you want to go out for dinner!!!! I think this company should address its manager about customer treatment!!!! Otherwise you will lose more and more customers than was already the case after it was known that mice were found in the kitchen!!

Unfriendly slow staff horrible. It is better for the chef to go into service if he can serve as well as cook and he will be fine

Almost reviews of this restaurant are fake on The Fork! Please note. The Fork wants only positive reviews to appear on the site. I can't type anything honestly. The Fork's 50% discount does not apply to the menu you see. You only have 2 choices via TheFork: extensive tapas menu (6 surprises) or mixed grill for €35 pp. That was disappointing to us, because it is not stated anywhere in the conditions when booking. The food is sufficient and varied. Staff is friendly, but we will choose a different restaurant next time.

The food was not surprising at all. It was a surprise when we finally got food after an hour. Unlimited food? Not so. In addition, they had virtually nothing left on the menu. And with an hour's waiting time for each course after eating tapas for 2.5 hours, you can leave with two small snacks behind your teeth. By the way, the staff did absolutely nothing with our then nice request to order drinks or food. The staff also preferred to sit on the terrace to drink beer and argue loudly with the neighbor. Six months after our visit to la senorita, we are still talking about how incredibly sad this restaurant experience was. It.was.bad.

Had tapas at La Señorita yesterday. We were misled by a sign on the street that said "unlimited tapas for €19.50". When asked, it turned out that this applied until 3:30 PM, while the sign was still there at 5:30 PM (no further conditions were stated, nor was there anything on the menu about unlimited tapas). Drinks were brought quickly, but after that little or no attention was paid to us. After some time we asked if we could order, someone would come... After fifteen minutes someone else came to order. All in all we had to wait a very long time before we had our food. While three tables were still occupied at 9:30 PM (and the kitchen was open until 10:30 PM), the terrace around us was already being demolished. Service only gave the much needed attention but nothing more, we did not really feel welcome as a customer. Location is cozy, food was tasty. When I returned home, I looked at the restaurant's website: there was no sign that you could eat unlimited tapas. In my opinion, the sign is only there as a decoy to attract as many customers as possible under false pretenses. Not a second time at this restaurant for me.

Nice location on the canal. Our host was super motivated and friendly. The card is a disappointment. I think it was once set up by Spanish people, but now it is more of a grill room than a tapas restaurant. The burger was a ciabatta with 3 slices of cucumber and 3 slices of tomato with a teaspoon of sauce. Really not possible for €13.

Three of us ordered different dinners. Each were fantastic, plentiful and arrived hot. The service was show but very much worth the wait.

They have delicious shawarma from the grill, just a bit short in terms of tapas portions. I highly recommend the paella, although the staff has never heard of this dish.

An excellent restaurant and in a bomb location on the banks of the canal. Good service. Those who are in the area must come. Reservations are recommended. The restaurant has been around for 30 years and was awarded the best Italian restaurant in the Netherlands.

My friend and I had lunch here. Let's start with compliments. The food is very tasty and tasty. The service, on the other hand, is disinterested. You get what you ordered but that's it. We ended up at this restaurant via Social Deal, because we had bought a 4-course dinner. The starter, half a baguette with 3 sauces and lettuce with ham and melon, was tasty. The main course, the tapas, on the other hand, was not enough for 2 people and not very tasty. We only had 2.5 tapas bowls per person. The dessert, a combination of scoops of ice cream, two cakes and a bowl of fruit, was tasty. The location of this restaurant is very nice, because you are on the canal. The staff is not too friendly. In addition, they had cunningly placed two water bottles on the table that you would think would be free. However, you have to pay for these bottles. This gave a bad aftertaste to the evening.

It is 35 degrees but we cannot get a carafe of tap water: "Sorry, but that is the policy, we only sell bottled water." When we ask about the menus, the waiter acts as if we are asking a strange question. The tapas special costs €27.50 per person, but later we see that unlimited tapas costs €17.50 (on a plate elsewhere). To start, we order some bread and a tortilla, but the waiter indicates that we must order at least four tapas per person: “We are not going to turn on the oven for two tapas.” Then first bread: “It's ready-made bread, that's what it applies to.” By the way, there are still at least twenty people sitting on the terrace eating. We feel ripped off and decide to leave. The waiter returns with the message that it is still possible to order two or three tapas. This confirms our feeling that we are being ripped off and we go eat somewhere else. Conclusion: this business is aimed at getting as much money out of your pocket as possible and has no interest in providing good service.

Service was bad, not because of the staff, but because of management.; Whisky was watered down a lot, Same for beers, The food tasted cheap, no stars to be earned there. If you order a specific kind of red/white wine you'll be presented the standard house wine while staff claims they got you the proper, more expensive one, and charge your for it. Don't get me wrong, this place is great for tourists looking for an affordable diner, but not a place to have a business dinner with coworkers.

Had a great time here. Okay food on a beautiful terrace on the water. Not suitable if you really want to enjoy a nice evening out for dinner, but suitable if you want to have something to eat along the canal.

Tapas are too expensive for what you get. The small portions should certainly be 2 euros cheaper per dish. The flavors are quite flat and the service is not particularly attentive. I believe this is the first time I have given a 1 star review, but this one really deserves it. Wow, this was bad. We arrived around lunchtime and were given a table on the terrace. There was no card on the table and none was brought. After 15 minutes it started to attract the attention of the 5 waiters walking around. Impossible. They walked past all the tables, looking straight ahead. After about 15 more minutes we succeeded and the man who had also seated us at the table came. He didn't have a map with him. If we could order something. "Yes, but only if we wanted to eat too." Fine, that was exactly the intention. He took the drink and we asked for the menu. The drinks arrived. Not the map. When our drinks were finished we tried again to get a waiter to come to the table. He reported that because of the Utrecht Canal Pride there was only a fixed Tapas menu of 23.50 per person. That was a basket of baguette in advance and an assortment of hot tapas. We just did it. The bread came quickly. The rest took quite some time to arrive. It turned out to be 6 very small dishes: calamari, shrimp, spruce ribs, chicken wing, gratinated vegetables, meatballs. All very basic in taste as if it had been ready all afternoon. The glasses and plates were empty and the Canal Pride passed by. The waiters no longer came to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. They were watching themselves. Until suddenly the bills were brought to the entire terrace without being asked. And around 5 p.m. we wanted to leave because there were reservations. Very unfortunate. This restaurant has a beautiful location on the old canal. The terrace was packed. They could have made so much more here... Better go to one of the neighbors. Enough choice.

We were with a group, everyone ordered the same food, there was no one else in the restaurant. And yet it took more than an hour between the bread and the starter, and after the starter we had to wait more than an hour again. We also had to wait a very long time for the drinks. A delicious dessert :-)

Terrible tent! Never been treated so badly. Allergy to fish and this clearly indicated. When I was served fish and sent it back to the kitchen, I was told at checkout: Pay and fuck off! Food is not tasty. Been in the fridge for days, old bread. Really worthless.

We were received very unfriendly by the owner's brother. We had to sit outside in the shade for dinner at 15 degrees because the restaurant inside was closed. So we wanted something warm to drink. The coffee/tea machine was broken. Ordering tea was therefore very difficult. If we didn't want to stay outside...his advice was to cancel the reservation. Ultimately, there were more people who wanted to eat inside. So we were allowed in too. The service was very friendly and cooperative. Thanks Umed.. Otherwise we wouldn't have stayed.

The bravas potatoes were terrible, half raw, and the brava brava sauce was nothing!! Not to mention the Moorish pincho, with chicken instead of pork... Slow and not attentive service. Highly not recommended.

We sat for 45 minutes until we were finally asked what we wanted to eat and had the feeling that we were being discriminated against. I.V.M. It's a shame that we came in with two men, so we didn't taste any food but only ate something.

5 euros for a 33cl beer.... Those kinds of prices belong to a star restaurant, not here. Furthermore, the meatballs were far too dry and probably not made in the shop itself. I suspect the same is the case with other parts of the tapas. This makes this restaurant very student-unfriendly and not worth Utrecht

Not exactly the tastiest tapas place in Utrecht. Quality tapas nothing really to write home about. Also not really nice wines (loose in the glass). Noisy (that's true for every site manager), but the acoustics here seem quite hollow, which makes it seem extra loud. Tables are also quite close together, which doesn't make it any better. Very friendly staff. But I wouldn't eat there again.

Had dinner yesterday via Social Deal. Food was fine, first bread, then a cold starter and then 5 bowls of snacks. Very friendly staff and fast service. Highly recommended, especially for the money you pay.

Recently ate here with a group with a discount through AH vouchers. Location is great, in a wharf cellar on the canal close to the center of Utrecht. But other than that, not much good to report. It started with ordering the drinks, after ordering a bottle of wine and some glasses of soft drinks we asked if a carafe of water could also be added. We were briefly and abruptly informed that this was not allowed and that you could only order bottled mineral water. Service seemed rushed and not exactly customer friendly, despite that it took a long time before you got your food. The portions were very small and of variable quality. Although some snacks were tasty, the chicken was dry and some dishes were not hot enough. Quality/price ratio is poor. The next day some of our group complained of stomach aches and one of us actually got sick. In short: a tourist trap, avoid if possible, there are plenty of nice eating places in Utrecht where you can eat well for a good price and have a pleasant evening.

It was a little akward and weird tough because one and half an out after they opened there were literally no customers. And by the time we left there were 2 groups.

I don't like to give a negative review but this tapas restaurant was really not worth the money. No choice of tapas, so we were surprised. Very mediocre, luxurious fish consisted of squid rings and the rest also left much to be desired. The only tasty thing was the dessert of figs with hot chocolate. Couple of waiters were nice but couldn't really cope. I certainly won't come back for the kitchen. Shame.

Not recommended. Terribly busy (due to actions by AH and Groupon, which usually says something), we were forgotten. After an hour we were finally able to order and after 1.5 hours we received the wrong dishes. After waiting almost 2 hours and not having received anything (we did receive something, but not what we ordered) and being ignored, I left. Downright bad service, not recommended. Restaurant is a chaos. Very noisy and the service leaves much to be desired. One cannot help because he says he just works there (of course he can, but if you say you will call someone in, then do so. We have always had to contact someone ourselves), the other only speaks poor Dutch. mixed with English. I should have read the reviews first before going here. Then we probably would have left it alone.

We had a very nice meal at La Senorita, we came with a large group and despite the crowds we were well taken care of. Friendly service delicious food!

Food quality and service are unfortunately below par. Went with AH restaurant voucher but it was not worth the money. Too bad. Atmosphere also leaves much to be desired.

Nice restaurant on the old canals. Inside it looks very cozy and also very spacious. Service is friendly, and most importantly the food is great.

We had dinner there with a group of eight people during a work outing. Even though it was already a bit colder outside this evening, the indoor area was closed and we were only allowed to sit outside. The question was asked whether there are people who do not eat meat or fish. This was the case. But subsequently nothing was done with this information. We got the Grand Dessert for dessert. These were two pieces of cake, pineapple from a can and four scoops of ice cream from 1 cup for the four of us to eat from. I get along well with my colleagues, but this is still a bit awkward. The food itself was okay, but could certainly have been more for eight people.

Unless you like to spend 50 euros per person for microwave spare ribs, microwave shrimp in tasteless sauce and a few potatoes. In addition, no ambiance whatsoever. Noisy eating shed. McDonalds also prepares fresh hamburgers daily, but it is not freshly prepared food. Same goes for this disgusting food shed.

Tasty tapas and very friendly service. Nice setting in the wharf cellar, a bit large and massive (200 places inside). We were there on a quiet Sunday evening.

Went there for dinner last Saturday. Subtly indicated that we found the quality of the food somewhat disappointing. We then asked if we could skip dessert, but that was also not appreciated and the atmosphere then became such that we were really treated antisocially there. My girlfriend was not looked at and people were constantly talking over us. He indicated that several people from the AH campaign are always complaining. We just paid nicely (for 4 courses, even though we only got 3) and were still insulted and looked out of the tent. We eat out very regularly, but we have never experienced this. My tip, skip this place, it probably won't be open for much longer. After all, we were the only ones eating there at that time. There are many other places to find good Tapas where the atmosphere, quality and hospitality are a lot better.

They changed the sangria price to €23 just because we were not drinking fast enough and they took around 30 minutes to bring the food even though some was re-heated instead of freshly make. A big of a disappoinment.

Ate here with 8 people. We were there at 4 o'clock and the only ones on the terrace. After fifteen minutes we were able to order drinks after asking. Then it took another 20 minutes before we got it. The beer was lukewarm the soft drink was good. We had to wait 45 minutes for our order. The man who brought it was completely confused (we were still the only 8 people!) when finally, after fifteen minutes of research (where the cook and waiter were frying our meat at a table full of flies), we all found the had the right food, the meat and potatoes turned out to be very cold. The best they could do was give a 20% discount on food that was inedible. Worthless business, bad service, we will never come here again. I really recommend it to everyone.
