Friendly waitresses. The menu isn't anything special, but the food is fine. The restaurant is very noisy.

A very nice restaurant with a unique menu. Not your typical dishes. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food.

Beautiful, atmospheric interior..

The staff is chaotically busy. They say they'll be back to take your order, but after repeatedly asking, it was finally taken. We got our pastries first. When they were finished, we got our coffee. Yes, it was busy, but there were more than enough staff, who were mostly just twiddling their thumbs. While the two waitresses walking around outside couldn't handle it. Anyway, the coffee was good, and so were the pastries. Not made in-house, but bought in from outside. However, the taste and quality were fine, though not entirely fresh. I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon. But the terrace is cozy and offers lovely sunshine.

I'd had some pleasant and delicious experiences here in the past, so I confidently booked again. I ordered the tournedos and specifically requested "medium rare." I was immediately told that this was the standard. However, when the dish arrived, it turned out to be more like "medium"—especially compared to my dining companion's plate. I pointed this out, and it was politely taken back to the kitchen. A little later, the manager (or owner) personally returned with the plate and firmly stated, "Yes, this is definitely medium rare." This came across as somewhat defensive and not very customer-focused. It turned out the dishes had been mixed up; according to the staff, the more well-done tournedos was meant for my dining companion, who, they claim, had ordered it "medium," while we both remember requesting "medium rare" (but that's beside the point). Fortunately, this was acknowledged and an apology was given. The situation was resolved promptly. The rest of the meal went well, but when paying, I brought up the issue again. Unfortunately, I received another rather blunt response from another staff member who hadn't been involved previously, saying, "It was just medium rare." That was a disappointing end to an otherwise excellent evening. It's a shame, because a small gesture or a bit of acknowledgement could have made all the difference. As a result, the hospitality felt a little less genuine than before.

Delicious food, beautifully presented. The sushi and rice were top-quality. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the interior is stylish and beautifully decorated. We'll definitely go back on a day off. Highly recommended!

Thoughtful interior down to the last detail, service just a little different approach. Quickly served a delicious lunch, we had the Caesar chicken sandwich and avocado toast. And the vacancy I read during the toilet visit very thoughtfully presented. We will be back soon!

As regular visitors to Bergen who know the city and its dining scene very well, Lady Papa was once one of our go-to spots. Unfortunately, those days are long gone. We visited again today and have decided this was our last time. The service was, quite frankly, a disaster — arrogant, inattentive, and painfully slow. The staff seemed uninterested in providing even the basics of good hospitality. What made the experience even worse was the audible dissatisfaction from neighboring tables — complaints about the food’s quality were clearly being voiced around us. This further confirmed our impression that something at Lady Papa has gone seriously downhill. We informed our waiter that we’d like to settle the bill and leave. This was met with little more than a shrug. No apology, no concern — just complete indifference. In short: never again. I can no longer recommend Lady Papa to anyone visiting Bergen. There are far better places in the city that still know how to treat guests with respect and serve quality food. This is not one of them

The best restaurant in Bergen so far. Everything is right. Delicious food. Refined. And neat and friendly staff without being pushy. We will definitely come back.

I eat here often and usually well. But today a bit less. I ordered a dish that I often take, ask the waiter: are the eggs soft-boiled? And the eggs are rock hard and cold and so much crispy chili sauce on top that I couldn't eat it. It can happen, but when your plate is collected and you honestly say that it didn't taste as good as usual, all you hear is: oh, the chef sometimes changes things. Sorry, I can't stand chili oil...

What a disaster this restaurant. The food was bad and overloaded with sauce. The fish had no taste at all. Service is ok and the restaurant is located in the middle of Bergen. So that’s ok. Over all:don’t go!!

Fish had little taste, the dishes that came with it were floating in the sauce. The lamb fillet tasted quite good on its own, but there too the peas and asparagus were floating in the gravy.

From the moment we walked in, the interior immediately caught our eye – stylish, quirky and with such a sense of atmosphere. You immediately feel welcome here. The service was great: friendly guys who show genuine interest, sense exactly when you need something, and put the food on the table with a smile. Everything went smoothly and without haste, exactly as you want it. The owner is a story in itself: a super enthusiastic and friendly man who visibly lives for his profession. You can tell from everything that people work here with passion and dedication, and that radiates through the entire place. And then the food – delicious. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and prepared with care. We really enjoyed it from start to finish. In short: an evening at Lady Papa is more than just going out for dinner – it is an experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great night out in Bergen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice terrace, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. We were the only table that did not receive a menu, while other guests were helped immediately. We finally decided to leave again. A shame, because if someone had paid attention and offered us a map, we would have happily stayed. A missed opportunity.

Lady papa heeft bijna alles, een leuk terras, mooie serre, goede bediening, en vooral een kaart die bijzonder is omdat er zoveel gerechten op staan die aantrekkelijk zijn dat het moeilijk kiezen is. De sushi’s zijn echt een omweg waard, wordt allemaal a la minute vers gemaakt. Daarnaast heerlijke toast kannibaal, Japans brood met gebakken kip en kimchi… echt alles heerlijk bereid!

What a lovely restaurant! After much deliberation about where to go for dinner, we ended up at Ladypapa. The menu appealed to us, from sushi to other influences. There is also a lot to choose from for non-sushi lovers. It looks beautiful, the food was fantastic. We enjoyed the service so much. Attentive, thoughtful, good at communicating about dishes and how it works in their restaurant, she thought about everything. Neatly fifteen minutes before the kitchen closed (except for dessert) she came to indicate this. So that we still had the choice to order something. Extensive cocktail menu, wonderful to sit and linger. Really recommended!

Beautiful catering business in the center of Bergen. When you enter, the store has an attractive and relaxed feel. This is partly due to the cozy interior. Most guests sat in the conservatory, which gives the feeling of an indoor garden. We ordered 2 cappuccinos with warm apple pie. Not a large piece, but very tasty. The waitress brought everything in a very relaxed manner, including a carafe of water. Visit is worth repeating.

Iedereen heeft het er over. Ga je naar Bergen, eten bij LadyPapa en vergeet vooral de sushi niet! Zo gezegd zo gedaan. Niet alleen de sushi, ook de tournedos en de sukade o.a. Maar, we snappen de hype totaal niet. Het is wel prima allemaal, zeg een krappe 7 als je het een cijfer moet geven. Echt niets speciaals... dan kun ie wel op betere plekken in Bergen eten.

Fantastisch gegeten en zeer fijne sfeer. Voor valentijnsdag uit eten gegaan, aangeraden door een vriendin en we hebben een super avond gehad.

This hip and stylish restaurant is located right in the center and offers a beautiful ambiance with a contemporary and carefully decorated decor. The interior is both modern and cozy, which creates a pleasant atmosphere immediately upon entering. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, and in particular Max, the owner's son, is a huge asset. He knows exactly how to put guests at ease and makes everyone feel welcome. His hospitality and professionalism really add something special to the experience at Lady Papa. The concept of the restaurant revolves around smaller dishes, allowing you to taste multiple flavors in one visit. The dishes are all delicious and refined, and a lot of attention has been paid to the presentation. One of the highlights is their sushi, which is of exceptional quality. The wasabi is prepared in a unique way, with a hint of cucumber for a fresh twist—something you don't see often and is a really tasty surprise. Every dish we tasted was a true explosion of taste, carefully composed with fresh ingredients and creatively presented. Kunst10daagse in Bergen en mogelijk mede daardoor LadyPapa afgeladen vol. Maar dit bedrijf is zo goed en strak georganiseerd dat daar niets van te merken is. Mijn favoriet van vanavond was “gamba’s met Thaise kreeftensaus”. Fenomenaal op smaak en ook qua cuisson. Absolute aanbeveling.

What a great tent! Very nice atmosphere, service is fast and professional and the food is of a high standard! The sushi and steak tartare in particular are sublime 👌🏻. What I would like to specifically emphasize is the price-quality ratio of the wine list. It's great that you can drink such quality without spilling it 3 times. A reason for us to come back (very) often!

Wij hebben genoten van Sukade en Parelhoen met een goed glas Chardonnay, het smaakte verrukkelijk! De bediening was zeer attent en vriendelijk en het restaurant is heel gezellig ingericht met comfortabele banken en stoelen.

Ladypapa in Bergen exceeded all my expectations! I didn’t anticipate finding such mouthwatering sushi at this restaurant, but it was absolutely divine. The central location is perfect, and I was able to park my motorcycle right outside the door, which was super convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly, adding to the overall great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town!

Excellent restaurant where everything is right. The enormous wine list is worth reading and drinking. Not exactly cheap, but worth every euro. Many thanks to the extremely outstanding restaurant manager JORIS and his team for two remarkable (lunch and dinner) stays.

Chardonnay base in a large glass for €7 is simply too expensive for the location. Apparently they think the customer will pay. We will skip this terrace for the time being.

Das Restaurant, mitten in Bergen gelegen, ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und verfügt eine hübsche Aussenterrasse und über sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Wir haben das Menü für 2 Personen bestellt, das als Vorspeise aus verschiedenen Sushi, als Hauptspeise aus Entenbrust bzw. den Fisch des Tages und einer Nachspeise aus einem Eis, einem Küchlein und Blaubeeren bestand. Dazu ein Chardonay aus den USA. Geschmacklich hat uns das Essen vollkommen überzeugt, auch die Präsentation war schon besonders. Bei unserem nächsten Hollandurlaub kommen wir sicherlich gerne wieder

Vanmiddag heerlijk op het terras in de zon gezeten met een cocktail. Eerst met een paar dumplings deze waren heerlijk. Toen zagen we dat ze ook sushi hadden, we hebben de surf&turf en de aubergine gehad. In 1 woord: heerlijk. Vers gemaakt en nog een beetje lauw van binnen. Jammer dat we morgen weer weg gaan anders we er weer gaan eten.

The quality of the food is okay, but very pricey and also small portions, fries are not gluten-free because they are fried in the same oil as other chip shops, I received a container with only lettuce leaves as an alternative, no tomatoes, etc., which is very disappointing for people who want to eat gluten-free.

Bei unserer Reservierung hatten wir die genauen Zeiten der Küche nicht gekannt und in der Zeit nach der eigentlichen, warmen Küche reserviert. Die Crew hatte das schon antizipiert und uns direkt aufgeklärt, dass wir da etwas "Freiraum" bekommen. Auch ansonsten waren die Kellner sehr aufmerksam, unaufdringlich und dennoch zuvorkommend. Wir hatten Sushi und das musste sich hinter den Erfahrungen aus Düsseldorf definitiv nicht verstecken. Alles in Allem eine sehr positive Überraschung und eine definitive Empfehlung in/für Bergen.

Der teuerste und zugleich schlechteste Aperol in ganz Bergen!! 9,50 €/keine Orangenscheibe/kein Prosecco/kein Mineralwasser. Ein bißchen Aperol verdünnt mit Leitungswasser ... und keine Reaktion auf unsere Nachfrage - das ist frech. Auch das Bier (0,25 für 4 €) schmeckte abgestanden. Das Essen dort möchten wir gar nicht probieren.

Lady/waitress with a black vest and gray hair came to tell me quite arrogantly that I should not have moved my chair and rather rudely said that I had to put it back. Could also have been in a different tone, because my mood was immediately ruined and I immediately felt uncomfortable, even though I just responded nicely because I didn't realize I was doing anything wrong. It's nice to have your day ruined like that on Liberation Day, even though I didn't know I was doing anything wrong. Then someone next to me does it and nothing is said about it... what bad service. Food was not special either, price-quality poor. Disappointing.

Bergen's Finest Dining…….We also absolutely had to on our short holiday in Egmond this year Had dinner at LadyPapa on the last evening. As with our first visit last year, we decided on the menu. Sushi, sea bream and a desert of meringue, zabaglione and a mousse with oranges and a very good Chardonnay were the crowning conclusion to our holiday. The service was very attentive and quick. Thank you for the great evening. We will be back!

At LadyPapa, you'll find excellent dishes, friendly service in a cozy restaurant. There's an extensive wine list with wines that offer value for money. The sushi on the menu is freshly prepared and delicious. The bar snacks/bites are also enjoyable. Perhaps slightly pricier than the average restaurant, but the taste definitely justifies it. Highly recommended!

Prima plek om sushi te eten. Geen traditionele sushi maar sushi met een twist. We hadden zalm, tonijn en buikspek. Alle drie lekker al lijken de smaken wel eeg op elkaar.

Geweldig restaurant, het was er beredruk maar personeel nam de tijd om de kaart uit te leggen. Eten was erg lekker en keurig op tijd geserveerd ondanks de grote drukte. Personeel had duidelijk goede aandacht voor hun klanten. Zag er alleen chaotisch uit met rondrennen personeel.

Leuke plek met een interessant interieur. Aparte ervaring met personeel. Bijvoorbeeld bij het betalen geen dankjewel of tot ziens, maar een duwtje tegen de pinpas met het apparaatje. Ze had ook kunnen zeggen dat de betaling was gelukt ;).

Das Essen hat einen besonderen Touch, sei es als asiatische oder französische Variante. Die Zubereitung und Qualität ist hervorragend. Für Rentner sind die Portionen ausreichend, als junger Mensch würde ich eher 5 Gänge essen. Die Getränkekarte ist seeehr umfangreich und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Freundlichkeit? Könnte besser sein! Service OK. Jedenfalls eines der besten Restaurants in NH!

Mooi terras en keurig nette bediening. Dat laatste wil ik echt benadrukken. De kwaliteit van het eten was prima. Ik zou alleen willen dat er duidelijker, misschien wel eerlijker wordt weergegeven wat het Urban menu inhoudt. De menu deal wekt de indruk dat - wat er staat per persoon geserveerd wordt. Ook omdat de prijs die genoemd wordt p.p. is. Echter komt elk gerecht maar 1 keer op tafel. Onder de term ‘shared dining’. Dan opeens is de menu deal helemaal niet zo leuk meer. We hadden beter voor hetzelfde geld meer gegeten kunnen hebben als we niet de menu deal hadden gekozen. De hoeveelheid eten heeft niet voor voldoening gezorgd, wat je wel mag verwachten voor de prijs. Honger mag je het niet noemen, maar we hebben flinke trek momenteel. Ook vind ik dat er erg veel tijd heeft gezeten tussen de gerechten. Helaas.
