Everything organic and super tasty.. it is not very big.. but cozy and a beautiful garden.. very friendly and do everything they can to make you happy.

Delicious 5-course appetizer dinner. Each course 3 tasty dishes, which all together formed a successful dinner. Our highlights were the Herring salad, Paprika tomato soup, Fennel risotto, Goulash and the Rhubarb crumble for desserts. We will definitely come back!

It is a very attractive organic living room restaurant, where you can also enjoy delicious food. I was there on a Monday, when there is a surprise menu. The refrigerator is then "cooked empty". Everyone gets something different, and (almost) nothing is thrown away. What a great initiative!! Make a reservation!

Afternoon tea with delicious snacks and various types of tea. The service and food were very good. Despite language difficulties, everything was explained patiently. The cook herself served the food and also asked if everything was OK. I find that very likeable. It's clean and tidy, but quite old-fashioned. It has a certain flair, but I personally don't like it.

Strong and unique recommendation. One of the few organic restaurants in the Netherlands and they are doing fantastic. They work hard and honestly to get where they got. Beautiful view of the garden with playing cats, delicious homely food, friendly welcome and contact. A real gem in the region. You can also contact them directly for e-scooters, a nice tip to do!

We had the surprise menu, which was very nice. All 6 of us got a different dish and we could swap with each other if necessary. The food was delicious. Highly recommended. The atmosphere was very cozy and informal. We played scrabble and other games that were provided. Peter and Marjolein were very friendly as hosts. Peter gave us information about the history of the country house and surroundings. Marjolein's cooking skills were top notch, and we thought the price-quality ratio was excellent.

Spent the afternoon and evening with a group of friends on September 24. We had put together a package in combination with an e-scooter tour. Beautiful location, delicious dishes. We were 5 people and ordered the surprise menu. All three courses were different for each person. Quite a bit of work for the kitchen, I think, but we enjoyed it. Beautiful location!

What a deception that was... Very disappointing food; stinking fennel soup, very mediocre main course, "organic" "fresh" fish with the paper between the fish steaks from the frozen packaging still attached(!)...really NOT a good meal and I threw away the coffee after 1 sip. Culinarily a major disappointment, contrary to what you would expect based on the "reviews"...yuck. This was once but never again.

Fantastic! Went here last year for my baby shower, had a wonderful lunch! Friends who were vegan were taken into account. The food was delicious! Everything home made and organic. The garden was a beautiful surprise and the hospitality was second to none! Price-quality ratio was also great.

Today we enjoyed a 5-course appetizer dinner, with each course consisting of three dishes. Very tasty, very hospitable, lovely sitting outside and where possible for this price. We will definitely come back.

Had a high-tea here with a group of 4. We had a very nice place outside in the garden where the sun was shining and chickens were roaming around freely. The high-tea was great, some savory snacks, some sweet ones, and fresh tea.

Once again we had a delicious meal this time, a 5 course dinner, beautiful ambiance and excellent chef/service, definitely recommended, it was a shame that they have been closed for the past 2 years, we will definitely come back to eat with you.

Very bad food. Reception not nice, very empty (and when guests wanted to join us, they were supposedly fully booked), while across the street at Duke-Jan's there was a lot of conviviality. Normally I don't write a review quickly, but it really annoyed me. The arrogance is radiating!

It's one of the few restaurants I'll never forget. We went there for dinner twice from Amsterdam. Once with my boyfriend during holiday in Arcen. A year later again, with 6 people, who were just as enthusiastic. Delicious meal, in one of the most beautiful and atmospheric ambiances you can imagine. About a hundred meters from the Maas and the car ferry that takes you to the other side. Looking out over the fields. Next to Hertog Jan's brewery - the restaurant is located in the former director's home. With two outdoor terraces and a garden where there are also tables. And yet everything exudes small scale and intimacy. Responsible concept, as far as the food is concerned, but don't worry: it was delicious. But what really made it pleasant and special were the people who run the restaurant, a fairly young couple, with some help too. Modest and nice, Limburg at its best.

A weekend away in Arcen with my boyfriend. We were looking for a nice, local restaurant that is not necessarily aimed at tourists. So we ended up at the Baroness by chance. Very tasty, surprising food at a great price! The menu changes daily, using organic ingredients and minimizing food waste. Surprise menu was very tasty. Unfortunately, we live in Nijmegen ourselves, otherwise we would certainly have come back on a regular basis. Highly recommended this! Good luck Peter and Marjolijn!

Living room restaurant sounded very intriguing, luckily there was still room that evening. We enjoyed it very much and would love to come back when we are in the area. Extensive choice of beer (and wine) even for a notorious Bob like me. The food was surprising and delicious and with an eye for vegetables! Everything fair trade, organic. Very pleasant service - really unique atmosphere. Individual furnishings create comfort. Small but fine menu with surprisingly reasonable prices - three-course menu for € 20! The Hertog Jan brewery is right next door - so there are a lot of beer specialties on the menu. Highly recommended in the afternoon for a delicious coffee and great cake combined with a walk around the Meuse.

Very nice and atmospheric restaurant. Mr and Mrs run this place with pleasure and that is noticeable in the food! Really nice to have been here. Simple menus but with great taste! And beautiful views in the summer on the terrace in front of the house. Food is tasty and cheap and organic and ecologically responsible. I will definitely come back here again when I am in the area!

Had dinner here tonight with my wife and two small children. We arrived late after a full day out and with a baby and toddler we didn't really have time to dine for long. this was no problem at all. After a very warm welcome from the host, a nice quiet place to sit and a delicious starter, we already knew that we would definitely come back here when we have more time to quietly enjoy the surprise menu. Excellent menu, cozy atmosphere, attention to guests (especially the children) and a wide choice of beers and organic drinks. In short, definitely recommended! A nice end to our day!
