Las Carretas in Wijk 00 Borne

Ordered food today, 2x spareribs with Spice wedges and 1x nachos supreme. We got just enough for 2 children, so we parents ended up eating something else. A bit of a shame. I think this is the last time we've ordered there. You pay a lot for very little.

Had another delicious meal, had a chat too. The staff is just as they should be: friendly, they do their best, top notch.

I parked in front of it with the truck for a city center delivery but didn't go inside. The shop looked nice, though, and it was a nice little town.

A truly excellent Mexican restaurant in Borne where you can always count on delicious food at a great price. Especially in the summer, the large outdoor terrace is a joy to behold: sunshine, a delicious Weizen beer in hand, and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is excellent, hardworking, and always friendly. Highly recommended for everyone!

Large portions of delicious food! Ask for mayo/garlic sauce. Everything else was excellent.

The stew wasn't a stew at all. You could really taste that the meat wasn't simmered, but simply cooked separately. Several requests to the staff for minor adjustments (including no mayo due to an allergy) were made, but they weren't honored. The creamed potatoes were fine. The wedges were too hard. Friendly staff, though.

The food was delicious. You can't make reservations, so you're not guaranteed a table right away. We had to wait a few minutes for a table to become available, as it was peak hour (6:30 p.m.). I think it's a great system. It gives everyone the opportunity to spontaneously dine somewhere.

Had dinner with the family. It's been a while, but the atmosphere and service are still great! We also had a delicious meal for €30 per person (main course and drinks). I'll definitely be back soon!✨

After a day of hiking from Almelo to the beautiful town of Borne, we settled into this cozy restaurant. We had a delicious, pleasant meal!

Fiesta Mexicana was exactly that: a party on your plate! Delicious food, very friendly service, and excellent value for money. Unfortunately, it's not close to home for us, otherwise we would definitely come here more often.

I celebrated my birthday here on Monday and had a wonderful meal at Las Carretas. We enjoyed delicious Mexican dishes together and finished off with a delightful dessert. The staff was friendly and attentive, and everything was served with great skill. Definitely recommended for a cozy and delicious meal! And wheelchair accessible.

Got takeout from here for the first time. What a fantastic place with a lovely atmosphere. The beautiful weather made it perfect for sitting on the spacious patio. We live 25 kilometers away, but we'll definitely eat here again and definitely get takeout again.

Paar weken geleden gereserveerd voor 6 personen op 1 augustus om 18.00 gebeld dat wij een half uur later kwamen was geen probleem. Toen wij aanbod melden om 18.30 was er geen plaats voor ons. We moesten buiten maar een drankje nemen en wachten totdat er plek vrij zou komen. Hoe kan dit ?? We zijn naar andere eetgelegenheid gegaan waar wel plaats werd gemaakt.

The two of us had dinner here tonight. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious and generously sized. We'll definitely be back!

Delicious Mexican food, fast service.

We ate here last Saturday, and I'm a regular here. The meat dishes are delicious, the baked potato was also wonderful. It's just a shame the side dishes are poor: over-fried wedges, not a particularly good salad. The fries weren't good either. It's a shame because they complete the meal. I think there was a new girl there who wasn't very interested in the guests. Ordering a drink wasn't appreciated. We'll definitely come back for the delicious spare ribs and mixed grill. But not for a while.

Heel lekker gegeten! Goede en ruime porties. Nacho’s als voorgerecht ook echt super lekker. Bediening was voor ons helemaal goed, tijd tussen gangen niet te kort en niet te lang. Ik zou er weer eten.

Have been eating at this restaurant regularly since 2003. Always perfect, atmospheric and friendly staff. Unfortunately, nowadays the quality is visibly deteriorating. Portions are getting smaller, meat drier. We were the only duo in the restaurant on a Tuesday evening. Staff sit down at a table further away and "forget" to take drinks. But we went home quite quickly, so they can finish nice and early😉

Not good... waited almost an hour for a starter. 18.05 present 19.15 starter.. main course plato mixto including Lamb chops or what it could pass for was 1 piece of bone with therefore a lot of oiliness. Furthermore, the service is friendly.

This has been my favorite restaurant since I was a child. I know of few catering establishments that have such good staff. Furthermore, the spare ribs here are unprecedented and other dishes and dishes here are also bizarrely delicious.

You're always in the right place at Las Carretas. The food is tasty, the service is fast and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants good food.

Warm appearance with Mexican atmosphere, extensive menu and very good cuisine. T-Bone was perfectly prepared, the salads were nice and fresh and the Coronas flowed freely. ;-)

Nice and friendly service but the food is really bad. Ate here last night (Tuesday). Ordered food and it was on the table within 5 minutes. I already had a bad feeling that this could never be done so quickly. We were warned that the plates could be hot. That was true, but what was on it was lukewarm. The food there clearly comes from the microwave during the week. Meat is hard, tasteless and the dough is not good. Service is friendly, but that's all. Never again for us. Unfortunately

The food was very good. Nothing to complain about. We sat on the terrace and a bowl of water was immediately brought to the table for our dog without having to ask.

Het was warm en heel druk,maar snel en vriendelijk geholpen.personeel is top! In die warmte en drukte zo efficiënt en vriendelijk te bedienen,petje af. Eten en drinken kwam ook snel en was gewoon goed en veel. Hier kun je voor normale prijs echt goed eten

Food and service are good. Unfortunately, there is a lot of smoking on the terrace, which is allowed. Which causes some annoyance while eating on the terrace.

It was cozy. The food is fine, but unfortunately they forgot to mention that the plate was very hot... you could feel it for a while. Small tip; the service could be a little more alert to empty glasses during dinner.

A cozy restaurant with friendly staff and a menu with something for everyone.

We eat there several times a year and the food is always good. They also do a great job in terms of service. Some new dishes on the menu, a new salad as a side dish or some different chairs... surprise us!

This was my first time here, a friend of mine had told me about this restaurant years ago. I really enjoyed the food. The price wasn't too bad, it was very tasty and sufficient. I would recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Borne

I have been coming here regularly for dinner or take-out for perhaps 20 years. Still come there more than 10 times a year. Mainly takeaway in summer, sometimes on a terrace and eat. Never had bad food in all these years. So great actually. Pick up is always slightly cheaper, you don't drink, etc. There is also a difference between eating on site or picking up the menu. You can even order via the website.

I think it's dellicious. Not everything is authentic Mexican but it is quite tasty. Big portions, good drinks, nice decoration.

I always enjoy sitting there. We were there for a farewell dinner for a colleague. Food also great!!

Tasty dishes, friendly employees, nice terrace

On the first beautiful sunny spring day we were able to sit on the terrace. The service is very attentive without being pushy. They are very friendly and have good advice. The dish that was ordered could be slightly adjusted by the kitchen. Furthermore, the spareribs are delicious, but the vegetarian dish also tasted excellent. To enjoy !

An ideally located pub in the center of the town. Good food and nice service. I had the steak, but I would love to come back to try other Mexican specialties.

Delicious food for an acceptable price.

Been coming there for years. However, the food is still much of the same. The advantage is that you know what you are getting. It's always okay. Point of criticism. Bowl of nachos is getting smaller and smaller. And you can adjust it to the table size ;-) Ps saw the next day that there was much more in the bill than we had had. Back again and neatly resolved.

Twee drankjes gedaan met 4 personen tijdens de melbuulndagen. Plastic glazen en 35 euro lichter.

Ondanks de heftige regenbuien toch heerlijk buiten gegeten. Eten is super lekker. Zeker een aanrader.

Simpel maar lekker mexicaans eten. Niet te duur en genoeg keuze

Gerechten zien er goed uit bij uitlevering aan tafel, uiteindelijk smaakt bijna alles beetje hetzelfde (4 personen). Jammer voor deze prijs. Ruimte binnen wat sfeerloos.

Heerlijk gegeten! Samen met mijn dochter een Rondje Mexico. Mijn man Mexicaanse mix. Alles zag er TOP uit en smaakte heerlijk. Ee n lekker drankje erbij en het diner was compleet. Super!

Afhaal gehad. Bestelling was niet compleet we misten 1 menu gebelt en we konden alsnog een extra menu ophalen. Helaas verkeerde menu mee gekregen maar wel opgegeten. We zouden samen eten met 8 personen helaas doordat we 1 menu weer moesten ophalen moest iemand alleen eten. Het eten dat we hebben gekregen was heel erg goed. Goed van smaak en genoeg voor iedereen.

We hebben eten afgehaald en thuis opgepeuzeld. Kon even niet anders. Heerlijk dat zeker. Volgende keer gaan we op het terras bij las Carretas zitten. Lijkt ons zeer gezellig.

1e x besteld bij las caretas met de familie. Geen goede ervaring. Eerste keer is er een gerecht niet geleverd toen hebben we gebeld en zeiden ze dat het miscommunicatie is geweest vanuit las caretas. Kom je daar moet je het opnieuw afrekenen omdat ze het niet hebben laten afrekenen dus ze hebben ons weer voor niks laten rijden.. hebben we het opgehaald zit er ook nog het verkeerde vlees in… ongelooflijk…. Ik kom er niet weer.

De laatste keer dat we er waren was helaas niet zo goed. Dat vind ik heel jammer, want dit is heel lang ons favoriete restaurant in Borne geweest. Zowel om te zitten als (sinds corona) de afhaal. De afgelopen 2 jaar lijkt wel alsof ze langzaam steeds verder zijn afgegleden. We zijn er gisteren om een verjaardag te vieren weer eens persoonlijk gaan eten maar dat viel behoorlijk tegen. De bediening is heel aardig maar wel erg slordig, ik had geen placemat en bestek en mijn bord werd doodleuk op de kale tafel gezet, ik moest dus zelf vragen om mijn bestek... Ook kregen we terwijl we op ons hoofdgerecht aan het wachten waren een dessert van een andere tafel geserveerd. Maar goed, dat kan gebeuren, als het eten maar lekker is. Maar helaas, het eten kan ik niet anders omschrijven dan dat het passie mist. Het rijstbolletje was koud, de wedges waren veel te hard gebakken en werden desondanks toch uitgeserveerd, het vlees van het stoofpotje was aan de taaie kant en de saus niet goed gebonden, de salade was OK maar niet echt bijzonder. Het deed me serieus denken aan fast food kwaliteit. De spareribs daarentegen waren als vanouds super lekker. Dus ja. Ik denk niet dat we er nog snel naar teruggaan als we iets anders willen eten dan spare ribs. En dat is jammer, want als ze maar een klein beetje beter hun best doen kunnen ze het zo weer naar een hoger niveau tillen. Ook simpele gerechten kunnen goed zijn als je er genoeg liefde in stopt. Gemiste kans...

Knetterdruk op maandag, daardoor wat rumoerig en druk en drukt de sfeer. Eten verder super, echt een hele lekkere Plato mixto gegeten. Service ook relatief vlot, gezien de drukte. Al had een extra persoon in de bediening veel opgeleverd. Top! De moeite waard!

Mexikanisch eingerichtete Lokalität. Die Suppe war gut. Die Bedienung jedoch könnte etwas freundlicher sein, auch wenn man aus Deutschland 🇩🇪 kommt

Gezellige sfeer, heerlijke spareribs Maar de cappuccino komt uit de sloot, bij navraag aan de serveerster bleek het toch echt cappuccino te zijn... Als echte liefhebber sla ik deze in het vervolg graag over.

Het eten was heel lekker, de bediening was goed. We (6 pers.) hadden het restaurant voor ons zelf dus de sfeer was erg gezellig.

Wat een gemiste kans dit restaurant! Zit op de mooiste plek in Borne voor het laatste zonnetje. De bediening is altijd vriendelijk maar de kaart is echt dramatisch. Een wit kantine bordje met misschien 15 nacho’s voor €10,- ?? Echt schandalig! Maak hier een iets hipper grand café van, de inrichting kan ook wel een flinke upgrade gebruiken, gemiste kans!

Het eten is prima, maar reserveren is niet mogelijk. Op maandaggebeld voor een tafel voor 4 voor het aankomende weekend, maar nee hoor. Geen garantie dat er dan een tafel beschikbaar is. Jammer, gemiste kans

Wij, 5 dames hebben hier onlangs gegeten. Ik had carpaccio besteld. Kreeg vlees met hierop een hele grote bult, beetje vochtige rauwkost. Geen kaas, geen saus. Niet te eten !! De rest van de dames heeft een wrap-achtig gerecht (fajita's) genomen. Alle fajita's plakten vast aan het bord. Waarschijnlijk in de magnetron opgewarmd (omdat het bord heel heet was, maar het gerecht van binnen niet). Zeer matig en zeker prijs niet waard. Ook de manier waar zij met dit commentaar omgingen. Moest bij een volgende keer maar vragen of de carpaccio was aangepast (waren meer klachten geweest). Ik heb aangegeven dat ik niet terugkom.

Toen wij aankwamen was er nog volop plek op het grote terras. De bediening is altijd vlot en erg (kind)vriendelijk. De kaart is heel uitbreid. Eigenlijk is alles lekker :-). De spareribs zijn onze favoriet. Voor de kinderen hebben ze een aantal leuke menu's. Wij komen zeker nog een keertje terug.
