Nice place to sit, but ordered bread twice with visitors but it wasn't delivered..

The worst service I have ever experienced in the Netherlands. After ordering several drinks, we decided to try a cocktail, which was absolutely undrinkable due to the excessive amount of sugar. When we politely explained to the waitress that the cocktail had not been prepared properly, she responded rudely, telling us that we should have ordered something without sugar. A little while later, she finally brought another item we had ordered that was already delayed. She slammed the glass down on the table and, in an extremely arrogant manner, told us that she had spoken to the manager and that there was nothing she could do. Terrible cocktails, appalling service, and an incredibly unpleasant attitude. Definitely an experience we will not be repeating.

Past glory. Uninterested service and a bit of speed is nowhere to be found. “Just extra things on your bill” But got a McDonald's just to get a sense of satisfaction.

Terrible staff. Especially the blonde middle-aged manager, who stands at the table disillusioned after a complaint, only to then whisper to colleagues about our table. Actually, everything is right, except for the level of the staff.

We had a delicious meal with 5 people. The service was friendly. The only minor downside I can think of is that the tables are so close together.

A nice place to enjoy the sun and tasty drinks on the terrace. Apparently, the menu is also highly recommended, but I still have to try it out myself!

I was sent away because I was drunk according to him and because I had insulted staff because they didn't speak Dutch. The management came across as aggressive towards me. He was around 20 and I was 67. He felt very tough in front of me.

They can't make cocktails! The toasted sandwich is terrible: 2 slices of white bread with a slice of cheese and ham. No toppings or anything like that. And you pay almost 13 euros for that!

The wait staff helped us nicely, especially Neo (who told us he was new), he is a real star!

Typical essential Spanish products not available, it was not announced that they were unavailable, the staff did not come to ask if everything was to our liking.... We have been here before, always satisfied, but nowadays it has generally become less so.

Beautiful spot and we've had a lovely time sitting there often enough. But what a shame, dirty, broken benches and chairs on the terrace and many non-Dutch speaking staff members on the terrace.

It takes a long time for the dishes to arrive at the table, and they are also of mediocre quality. Next time, I will look for a better place to eat...

Always a nice atmosphere on the little square

Very cozy location for a drink and a bite to eat!

We were totally surprised to find such good tapas outside of Spain, where we've eaten in various places many times before. The tapas platter for two people is a real hit! Both the quantity and the quality are fantastic. The fact that the service was also very warm and friendly was the icing on the cake.

We went there for lunch at the end of June 2026 and enjoyed the tapas platter for two (€35)! The best tapas platter I've ever had outside of Spain. Everything was delicious and plentiful. It also came with two excellent dips and fresh, oven-warm baguette. We were very hungry and managed to eat almost everything! Thanks to the friendly team, who also speak Spanish! Congratulations!

This used to be a very good tapas restaurant. But over the past year, it has gone downhill fast. Long waits for a simple drink, hot tapas that are ice cold, and meat tapas that are overcooked. It is not the fault of the wait staff. They are doing their best. For the umpteenth time, we received fewer tapas than we ordered. If that happens once, it is a mistake. That can happen, no problem. But if that happens on every visit, it starts to look like a scam. Check your order and the receipt carefully at Las Rosas. There are many more relaxed terraces in Zwolle.

Terrible. Waited an hour for my dessert, only to get it melted on the table. They won't do anything about the price, even though you can't spend your time well. They say they're just doing their best...

We had a tasty meal. Extensive menu. Hygiene could be better. Dirty tables, menus covered in food, dirty glasses, and a plate that wasn't washed properly either. Otherwise, the staff was friendly, and I would go back here for the food.

Las Rosas. A cozy place in a fantastic location. The beer towers are top-notch, but by far the grossest Pina Colada I have ever had. A kind of thick substance that is very sweet with a detergent aftertaste. Absolutely undrinkable. So I would advise against the cocktails.

The food was delicious again and the schnitzels much better than 2 weeks ago at Schnitzelwelt! The carbonara was just as it should be, top-notch!

We had a delicious meal at Las Rosas this evening. What I personally found disappointing was the treatment by the manager. The Wi-Fi at our table was poor, meaning we couldn't place our tapas orders online. Consequently, I personally found the communication with the manager unpleasant. Fortunately, there was a female waitress who handled this experience, ensuring we still had a nice evening. The quality of the dishes was good and varied!

Nothing special. Some decent food, with half-assed service from the staff. Had a decent evening in the end, but the food was not special in any way either. It's the first time I haven't tipped due to poor service.

The location is fine, the terrace is okay, the drinks are good, but the food is mediocre if you want to be a Spanish tapas bar. They were "Dutch tapas," not the real Spanish delicacies, were lukewarm, and too expensive for what you get (just 4 olives filled with some cheese for €7.50 is really overpriced). All in all, a bit disappointing, sorry.

Ordered a bucket of Corona, put it all in lukewarm. A bit of a shame…

What terrible value for money! Chicken skewer for 8.50 (three tiny pieces of chicken on a stick) Manchego, four slices of cheese for 8.50! Without dressing or anything. Really out of proportion.

Food is good but used to be better. You can only order two items per round and then you have to wait 15 minutes. Unfortunately they forgot a some items in multiple rounds and the last two rounds (one of which was dessert) took half an hour and a reminder to be brought out. Our waitress was very nice and helpful though.

Perkamentus (Marcus), with his single newspaper, has cursed this place to extreme waiting times! The fryer here is set at only 50 degrees and there is a time slot on the tap. Better eat out of your nose then!

Absurdly bad service, a bald employee throws a tray full of drinks over the guests and doesn't even offer an apology. When you then ask him if he will top up the drinks on the house, he looks at you with a vacant stare and asks, why?

Never again for me. It’s a fine place for a drink with a piece of bread. But to eat there? Absolutely not. Never again for me. The food was really not good. The dishes were tasteless and the flavors were completely out of balance. Just not tasty. What makes it even worse: we ordered the same dish twice, and they both tasted different. No consistency whatsoever, and neither was good. Additionally, the food was served cold and took far too long to arrive at the table. By the time you get it, the whole experience is already ruined. The staff was friendly and helpful, though. That is not the problem.

Every time I visit this café, I have to wait an extremely long time for my order. When I order tea, there are constant problems: they “don’t see the order” in the system or make up other excuses. For a simple tea, you sometimes have to wait as long as 30‼️ minutes. In general, every order takes an unreasonably long time, even if it’s just a tea or a cocktail at the bar. The staff seems to care little about the customers — they often stand around talking to each other instead of working. Getting a waiter to come is almost impossible, even when it isn't busy. It feels like there is a rather indifferent and sometimes even “selective” attitude towards guests. The only positive thing is the beautiful view — that is truly stunning. But unfortunately, the staff is incompetent, and that ruins the whole experience. A disappointment every single time. No desire to come back here…

Great little snack break in the sun in a very cozy atmosphere. Friendly service and the lounge areas by the table are really cool. Only 4 stars because the ladies' restroom is only accessible via a hotel staircase on the first floor.

Horrible! What had been a very successful place for our first date about 10 years ago was now a truly embarrassing spectacle. A real disgrace/disgrace; the service had forgotten our drinks after the first order, even though there were only 5 tables occupied. The ridiculously long wait for just 4 fairly simple tapas dishes (which probably just needed to be heated up), and then not remembering that we hadn't ordered any more drinks. You'd think it was a pretty obvious hint, but neither "picking up the hint" nor "remembering anything" worked. That didn't make things any better. The music was awful the whole time, which shouldn't be called music (especially not in a restaurant!). There were bones in the salmon, and the rest was practically cold. So, no tip, and we quickly fled. But not fast enough to miss the rat (!) running across the patio (probably straight from the kitchen!?)... Disastrous, dramatic, and bad. Probably taken over/new owner? We are NEVER coming here again.

They speak absolutely no Spanish. The waiters don't know or understand anything. We asked about the menu, and one said he didn't know anything and that I'd have to ask someone else. I asked another, and he told me he only knew about cocktails and that someone else knew about the food. In the end, he told me they didn't make the burger I wanted at that time. We were there for a birthday party, but we ended up going somewhere else because it was shameful. For people who have just moved to Zwolle, you're definitely not people who will ever return or recommend this place to anyone.

It's incredibly dirty. It's almost the middle of winter, and fruit flies are everywhere. Everything is sticky and filthy! Drinks are also brought out very late. Even the children wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Las Rosas has an excellent menu and drinks list, offering plenty of choice for its guests. The quality of the food varies from visit to visit. Sometimes it's unremarkable, sometimes it's cold. In my experience, the service is far from good. It often takes a long time to be served, and the staff often walks past you three times to take your order. This also varies considerably from visit to visit, but the service is never fast. If you're visiting Zwolle and looking for a good place to eat and drink, I'd suggest walking a bit further and not taking the risk.

During our weekend getaway, we stopped by here late Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival, we found they were fully booked. Luckily, there was a lovely spot outside under the heater, where we could also grab a bite to eat. While enjoying drinks, we ordered various tapas and wondered if some of the dishes were overpriced. Upon inquiring, we found out they were; there had been a mistake. They more than made up for it, and we were thoroughly spoiled and went home with a full stomach. All in all, we had a delicious meal and drinks, comfortable seating, very friendly staff, and good prices.

Mediocre, burnt steaks. Spare ribs are absolutely awful. Dishes not warm, in short, meh.

Beautiful location and nicely decorated. Ordering food via tablet went smoothly. I found the quality to be excellent, with the fried mushrooms with garlic being a real highlight.

What terrible service! I had to ask for everything on the tablet, bowls weren't cleared away, empty glasses were left there until we paid, and water was brought to the table with an irritated expression... Right up until the end, we were simply ignored, and everything piled up on the table... You pay for it, and you expect good, friendly, hospitable service with a smile... well, none of that was to be found!

The food was okay (tastes great, but soaked in oil), but the service was mediocre. We only received half our orders, and sometimes it took a very long time. In fact, every round, a dish was brought to a different table, after which you had to explain in English to the (friendly) waitress that it wasn't for your table. The green beans were tasty, though. It's a shame you can't order multiple desserts.

We only had a drink, but had to wait a long time for our drinks. We ate. The atmosphere was good.

We had a wonderful evening. This restaurant is also very accommodating to those who have had gastric bypass surgery. It's fantastic. Unfortunately, we didn't get what we ordered twice. Nevertheless, we had a delicious meal and will definitely be back.

We wanted to have lunch here on Friday afternoon. We started on the terrace, but several people were smoking there. We went inside, as we'd already ordered and called ahead. Within a while, we were seated with drinks, with no staff in sight. There were two staff members, but they were only working on the terrace, while several people were inside. So we left without eating. It's also impossible to change a baby - there's no changing table. So you have to change the baby on the bench in the restaurant where people are sitting 🤔

This afternoon we had a lovely time at Las Rosas on the terrace. We were served by a lovely woman named Anita. She was super attentive and took the time to chat with us. We enjoyed drinks and some appetizers. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent! Highly recommended!

Bediening is niet op niveau. Moeten 3x vragen voordat de bestelling kan worden opgenomen. De koffie is minimaal, wist niet dat er zulke kleine kopjes bestonden. Als je wilt betalen is er maar 1 medewerker waar dit kan. Ze hebben mazzel dat de locatie prima is. Daardoor komen de mensen toch wel.

Poor service. We've already walked out twice in the past month. The first time, there was no weizen beer with the tapas, so we went to another place that did have weizen beer, a missed opportunity. Yesterday, the outdoor terrace was full, so we tried to sit inside for a drink, but unfortunately, that didn't work out; the staff only cares about the people outside.

I was going out for dinner with a friend. I'd been looking forward to it for a week. But the service at Las Rosas was terrible. We had to wait ages for our drinks and appetizers. Furthermore, the staff seemed completely disinterested in having anyone in their restaurant. The food wasn't anything to write home about either. It all seemed like pre-made junk. In short, we'll definitely never go back there.

We had a wonderful meal with friends, and it was fantastic! We ordered various appetizers. The staff was friendly and hospitable. Unfortunately, there was a small mishap. Part of the umbrella broke off, but luckily it didn't fall on anyone. The way staff members Anitta and Agnes resolved the issue was very polite. My drinks spilled, we got new ones, and they treated us very well as guests. Thanks for the excellent service!

Unfortunately, Las Rosas isn't what it once was. The meat served looked dry and tasteless, far from appealing. The portions didn't match the photos at all. Furthermore, the dishes took far too long to arrive, and with only two (!) dishes per person per round, it's not a big deal. The menu now offers far less choice than before, and even the homemade cider has disappeared. Las Rosas now feels like a typical Cubanita: pre-cooked and reheated. Unfortunately, that's the current experience.

We come here often; it's a great place for drinks or snacks. We've had some disappointing experiences with the service in previous years (QR codes were a godsend, though). We went back last week and Celine was incredibly helpful. Having such a fantastic hostess really makes all the difference. We'll be back soon!

Great place in the heart of Zwolle. Paid parking is available right outside. Reservations are recommended. We were greeted warmly and given a clear explanation of the unlimited tapas menu. There was more than enough choice. The quality was good, and the service was fast. Friendly staff. Everything was handled via a tablet. Definitely worth it, and the price was reasonable.

Great place for Mexican/Spanish tapas! The tablet system is very convenient, and the decor is very inviting. The staff is very friendly. Their food selection is huge (it's hard to choose), and they also have a wide variety of Spanish beers. I definitely recommend the nachos, empanadas, and dates with bacon!!💞 The food is also delivered quickly. I can't wait to go back 😌📍

Beautiful place! They have a large menu with options for every diet 👌🏽the staff was super friendly. I would only suggest being careful with the sofas outside since they can get a little dirty from birds and rain. Thank you! ✨

The food is good, but the service is unfriendly; they speak little to no Dutch. Our meals weren't served together, and we also received dishes we hadn't ordered. Not recommended, a waste of money.

The food itself was quite good. Everything arrived fairly quickly. Only the next day I got food poisoning, so for me this was a one-time thing and never again.

The food was fine, but the service was terrible! Some of the staff were really unfriendly and ignored us most of the time, even though we just wanted to know more about the tapas menu or order a drink. It was also 30 degrees Celsius, so the least you can expect is to be offered a drink. We were even told we couldn't order tapas because it wasn't time yet, even though other tables were already being served them. Once we had a tablet and were able to order, we often received the wrong dishes or were asked questions about what we had ordered. There doesn't seem to be a very good system for serving.

A very bad experience. After waiting 15 minutes, we were finally able to order. After an hour, we still hadn't received our appetizers. We confronted them, and after 20 minutes, they gave us half our order, but the full receipt. No apology, no compensation. The nachos were as crispy as the time we waited.

The food is absolutely excellent! Highly recommended. You get a lot for a good price. There are a few things to criticize about the service. Young and inexperienced. I regularly had to ask for something. "I ordered another drink," "Can we have a spoon with our dessert?" etc. Still, the atmosphere was great, so whether that's a problem. Personally, I don't think so. But it could be better.

Beer was tasty, but the place was full and service took a long time

A cafe near the square with comfortable seating. The comfortable seating attracted me, and after wandering around so many places all day, I'm happy to say I jumped in. :) Prices are reasonable, so I'm posting a list. July 15, 2025 They took 64 euros out of my 20 euro bill. I can't say they forced me to take 44 euros; I got a refund of 41 euros.

Both of them had hair in their main course and dessert. The table was dirty and sticky. Service was poor. When the patio diners, with all their belongings, had to move inside due to a rain shower, no assistance was offered. Once inside, there was a lot of disruptive noise from the staff with cutlery trays.

Lovely terrace, good wine, and a wide selection on the menu. Something for everyone. We had a delicious meal. The service was friendly, but not at all efficient. That could be improved.

I regularly enjoy the sangria here on the terrace with colleagues and friends, but I also really appreciate the personal contact with the staff. Many friends who live in the area ask when we'll be back at Las Rosas. All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy the enormous terrace.

I understand it's busy, but waiting an hour and 15 minutes for a small snack could be better. I raise my hand several times, but they look at you as if you're speaking Spanish. It's a shame.

I've been there three times, but this is definitely the last time. A 15-minute wait for help, and then another 15 minutes for a drink. The staff are disinterested and don't speak Dutch. A very bad experience.

Terrible service. First, it was incorrectly entered into the system, which can easily happen. We received our first drink after 25 minutes because of that error. After the first drink (a cup of coffee) was finished, we had to wait over 40 minutes, and still no staff came by to ask us anything. Absolutely terrible!! Not recommended.

More than 5 quarters waiting for 2 tapas dishes. And after an hour still no 2nd drink. This was a one-off.
