My bed & breakfast host recommended me to try "Later aan 't Water" which is both within walking distance and a nice place to eat. It turned out he was absolutely right. The restaurant was well-visited the night I arrived in Amsterdam. I immediately felt a pleasant atmosphere among the staff and guests. Even though there was a lot to do and barely enough space for me, I got a good seat, attentive service and a fantastic Pinsa burrata served. Absolutely delicious! I enjoyed it so much that I stopped by for dinner the next 2 nights both before and after the marathon in Amsterdam, which was the occasion for the trip. Pasta fungi worked perfectly the night before the race. I will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful dinner with my wife. The steaks were delicious and so juicy. One of the best I ever had. We ordered chefs plate or something like that for 2 person and we couldn’t finish it. It was not cheap but it was worth it.

We had a wonderful meal with seven people at the round table. The service was fantastic, you immediately felt at home, and the atmosphere was incredibly cozy. It was ideal (as we did) for celebrating a birthday with a group. We will definitely be back.

We arrived early and were served quickly and efficiently. Only dessert (with ice cream, etc.) took a little longer. The food was delicious. Everyone (all five of us) was full and satisfied. Definitely worth coming back.

My fiance and I dined here 2 times while on holiday and enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the service was great. The location was a short walk from our hotel.

We come here often, but never before with such high outdoor temperatures. Due to circumstances, we ate indoors, but that was almost impossible. The temperature inside was 10 degrees higher than outside, and there was no air conditioning.😰 It's a shame, because you could see how everyone was struggling with this. My table companions and I endured it, and one of us even became very ill. The service was very helpful and helpful, but it wouldn't have been necessary with perhaps some portable temporary air conditioning. It's a shame we like coming here, but we would have really missed this experience.

We arrive at the door without a reservation with a large group. We were helped in a friendly manner. Cozy sitting on the terrace with the only one. Friendly service, fast service and delicious food. The little ones were treated with ice cream and treasure chest! What makes me especially happy was the orange crème brule, it as it should be, lukewarm temperature and crispy caramelized sugar on top! This is so good! Everywhere I got cold served crèmes brulee, but here I get it as it should be!

The food it is amazing, the service is really fast and even the crue is young, they are very careful and respectful with the customers. The ambience of this place is so cosy. They make you feel like you are at a family dinner.

Vibe was good in the restaurant and we came early, around 1800 so normally not necessary to make reservations if I understand right or we were just lucky. Rose wine was good! Starter was awesome as eels , salmon sashimi and shrimps were all fresh and tasty. Main courses were also ok. We were not much into sweet sauce so we were glad that spicy sauce was available for pork ribs, which were tender and indeed spicy from an Asian point of view. Mix grills we ordered meat version where pork ribs, in this case sweet version, beef steak and chicken were all tender enough providing great dining experience. Service of staff was superb as well. We had a good time there!

Been here a few times. Didn’t have any complaints until today. We were constantly ignored by the waitress. We had to call for them to even order our food. When we wanted to pay we got the check and the waitress went away again. Eventually we just stood up and went to bar to pay, because it took way too long. We were there for 2,5 hours for only one course. Spareribs are tasty. Vega burger was dry and had no taste.

Amazing food and brilliant service. We've been in Amsterdam for about a week, and eaten in lots of places, this was probably our favourite.

Chaotic service, Waiting time for starter and main course was also quite a while in between Deliberately chose an early time because of 2 young children. Were in at 6pm and didn't leave until 8:45pm Had to wait extremely long for dessert (for a 4 year old child) and a coffee, the rest of the desserts had already been served

I stayed at the Corendon which is a wonderful hotel, but wanted to try a local restaurant. This was perfect. I used Google Maps and walked through a small woods and then a neighborhood. The food and beer were delicious. Not only that but the staff were sooo friendly and helpful. I ate here my first night in town and they gave me suggestions on sites and restaurants in the city. Their suggestions were spot on !!

Wonderful restaurant on the water. The food and drinks were wonderful. Our waitress took good care of us and she helped us understand the menu. We started with the Burrata. So delicious. I ate some of the rack of spareribs. It was not sold as a rack, just spare ribs. Whew. That is a portion to share for sure. My husband ate a spaghetti pomodoro and daughter ate the Asian salmon. Everyone left with a very satisfied appetite.

Il nostro albergo è a 3 minuti a piedi dal ristorante e per puro caso abbiamo guardato i ristoranti nei dintorni, ma non avremmo mai sperato di trovare un posto simile. L'atmosfera natalizia era favolosa, il personale fantastico e gentilissimo e il cibo davvero, davvero buono. Abbiamo preso una zuppa di cipolle "alla francese", les frites e una grigliata mista di carne e pesce da dividere per due, era tutto fantastico e le cotture perfette! Prezzo assolutamente abbordabile e giusto.

Very nice evening at Later aan t water, very good quality food for a good price, we had the chef's platter of fish and meat for 2 people and this is highly recommended, the interior really feels like a warm, pleasant place and the atmosphere is lovely. Music is just right and you can really hear it in the background. If you want to eat here in the area, definitely go there!

Quick service and short waiting time

Het personeel is altijd super aardig. Alleen het eten was niet zo heel goed dit keer. De ossenhaas spies was helemaal rauw. Bij de sliptong zou salade zitten was er niet. En we hadden als voorgerecht champignons. Deze zagen er ook anders uit met peterselie, de smaak was anders, beetje zurig. Dit hebben we wel aangegeven. We komen hier regelmatig dus volgende keer gaan we hier echt wel weer naar toe maar het was wel jammer

A cozy restaurant with special charm and good food.

Location was definitely very nice but unfortunately that was it. Schnitzel, fries very flat. Never seen such tiny fried mushrooms. So totally dry. And for the cocktails you pay a lot but actually only get ice cubes. The glass was full of ice cubes. Two mint leaves and maybe two or three drops of strawberry juice. Sad. If we ever go there again we will try the burgers. Hopefully they'll be good then.

Had a delicious meal last Saturday despite being very busy. Only my grandson was not satisfied, he got his spare ribs last at the table and was terribly hungry. While we had already finished our starter, he still had nothing, what we missed was a starter for the children. It might be a good idea to also include some starters for children on the menu. Thanks to the beautiful weather we were able to sit by the water during our dinner. Extensive menu, with enough choice. So many dishes that appealed to me that I could hardly choose! Welcoming reception and service, nice atmosphere.

With a table beside a canal, we had a wonderful evening meal. My spouse has the best schnitzel she had ever tasted. The Wagyu burger and chicken parmigiana were excellent as well. The staff were attention, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Grilled meat and fish with the sauce on the side, that is, if you want you can eat without adding anything. After 2 weeks in Belgium and Holland eating regular food, this restaurant pleasantly surprised us. The service from the waiters was 10.

Today we sailed by boat and moored for a bite to eat. Super friendly staff. The food was really good. The schnitzels were incredibly tasty and I was pleasantly surprised by the bowl of fresh lettuce. The fries also tasted very good. Very crispy and fresh. We had not eaten here before, but this was definitely worth repeating!

The people are very nice and sociable, but I think the fact that the Dutch shrimps dress up as crayfish here is a real no-no.

We came by boat, were able to moor easily and immediately had a delicious meal. Sweet service, just a nice restaurant.

The tournedos steak was very good (it was steak week). Tender and full of flavour. The waitress was very busy and we had to wait a couple of times but she apologised and did her best otherwise.

There are hostesses working who don't even know what a reserved sign is.

What a very nice restaurant. Delicious food and a nice atmosphere. The food arrived quickly. There is no play corner, but coloring pencils were brought with a coloring book and she was allowed to make her own ice cream in the kitchen, what a party! Specifically Annie, what a warm & hospitable woman!

The place wasn't open for food when we arrived at 4pm, but we ordered drinks and sat at the table by the canal. When we went inside, we ordered wienerschnitzel and bitterballen, both of which were very nice and incredibly hot. Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Delicious food. Only the fake whipped cream brings the level down considerably. Shame about the dessert. And the black cloth on the table, you shouldn't look under it. Bah

Nice restaurant. A bit inn-like. The food is good, but the staff has some problems with memory and especially timing. My children had made a reservation here for dinner for my 60th birthday. There wasn't much wrong with the food itself. However, in terms of service it was substandard. After apologizing that two starters had already been consumed before the other two received their starters, something also went wrong with the main course. After waiting for 45 minutes, apologies came again: 'something' had gone wrong in the kitchen, so we had to be patient for another 10-15 minutes. After apologizing twice, you would expect, for example, that the coffee would be at the end of the house...... unfortunately. Not a second time here.

My best place so far in NL. The bistro is located next to the canal, with great spots inside and outside to enjoy. Food never failed, atmosphere nice and warm, personnel always polite. Definitely recommend and looking forward to our dinner there tonight.

Ik diner of lunch regelmatig bij dit restaurant. Ik neem standaard de steak . Is mals en goed. Bediening is vriendelijk. Sfeer is huiselijk en goed.

Wir waren abends dort nach einem Aufenthalt in Amsterdam essen. Es war fantastisch! Das Essen, der Service und das Ambiente waren einfach traumhaft. Trotz 3 stündiger Anfahrt würde ich genau deswegen noch einmal dahin fahren! Es passte alles zusammen. Die Servicekraft, die natürlich schnell merkte, dass wir aus Deutschland kommen, tat alles damit wir uns mit unseren sehr schlechten Englischkenntnissen wohlfühlen. Immer wieder

Es ist ein richtig schöner Laden. Die Weihnachtsdekoration war der Hammer, richtig stimmig. Die Bedingungen sind alle sehr sehr nett. Und das Essen hat einfach überzeugt. Ich würde immer wieder dort Essen gehen

Sehr leckeres Essen. Sehr sehr schönes Ambiente und die Bedienung war auch total nett. Haben Abends am Wochenende spontan einen Tisch für 4 bekommen. Wenn wir nochmal in den Niederlanden Urlaub machen, essen wir hier auf jeden Fall nochmal. Wir würden gerne mehr Sterne vergeben wenn es geht.
