Highly recommended! The waffles were better and bigger than in the city center. The price was good too; my waffle with strawberries and chocolate sauce cost just under €8. Excellent value for money. (The opening hours are amazing, too!)

The shop is too small, packed full of people, served by entitled arrogant ladies, poor customer response at counter, I suggest you buy it from nearby shops.

The food is fine, but the service is very arrogant and slow. Furthermore, the staff barely speaks Dutch or English, only Turkish. And a Dubai cup for €10 is definitely not worth it! The chocolate hardens after just 5 minutes, and the strawberries are very small.

The manager of this shop is such a friendly man who treats his customers with enormous respect. He also told me that all the desserts are freshly made in-house and that he tells the chef the night before the shift how much food is needed so that no extra food is wasted.

Last Tuesday, the three of us came for dinner. The female staff member didn't look at us and showed no interest. When I asked what she recommended, she simply said, "I don't know." Very disappointing.

We regularly visit this charming spot, and every time, it's a treat. The desserts are truly delicious – finger-licking good! The Dubai cup, waffle, and crepe are especially delicious. Perfectly flavorful, generously topped, and beautifully presented. It's hard to pick a favorite, because everything is simply a delight. There's an older woman on the team who's truly fantastic; she works quickly, is always neat, and exudes professionalism. A real asset to the business! The other staff are also polite. There's room for improvement, but overall, the atmosphere feels pleasant and well-maintained. In short: this has become a regular stop for us. Anyone who loves delicious, carefully crafted desserts absolutely can't miss this place. And it's so cutely decorated!

Where do we start?The girls behind the counter, miserable as ever , no welcome, no smile,no English then you have the “guy”on his phone,no hello, no welcome, but his phone on his hand and the behaviour of someone that doesn’t want to work and be here .Except that doesn’t want to serve you,help you or to know the menu, what a pain. The last but not the least, they do not-accept all the credit card so they ask you to pay in cash but quickly because they don’t have the time ,they have conversations and call to finish. Very rude, very unprofessional and 0 education which is free . I highly recommend to avoid this place , people with attitude but nothing to give . Luckily I didn’t have the opportunity to taste their food and feed their bank account because they definitely don’t deserve it. What a nightmare, please make sure people are aware of this kind of places. What a shame.

It's a real shame that the manager yelled at a female employee loudly and clearly in front of everyone in the restaurant for a mistake she made regarding a bottle of sparkling water. It would have been polite to yell at the employee separately, not in the restaurant.

Truly terrible service. It was quiet in the restaurant, and yet everything went wrong. An order was made incorrectly, and instead of acknowledging it, they acted as if it was our fault. Fine, we thought, we'd just wait for the correct order. Meanwhile, we received the rest of the order and asked for extra sauce for the San Sebastian and a glass with ice cubes. We never received the glass, and the sauce arrived far too late. The order, which had initially been incorrect, turned out to have been completely forgotten. I understand that mistakes happen, but that's precisely when you expect it to be resolved quickly and efficiently. Especially when it's not busy and there are plenty of staff, I don't understand what went wrong. Finally, after paying, we also discovered that the receipt had a strawberry cup on it, which we hadn't ordered or received. It's just a shame it had to end up like this.

Cozy little dessert place... The chocolate strawberry cup and mango ice cream were really good. Also liked the Sebastian cheese cake and strawberry ice cream. Good value for money 👍

Super cozy! I had a crêpe here with friends on the patio, and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and cozy, a great place to sit. The service was excellent: fast, friendly, and everything was well organized. We also enjoyed the delicious Turkish tea. Definitely recommended!

I never thought I'd write a bad review, but this was truly ridiculous. I ordered a Dubai chocolate cup and politely asked the employee for less chocolate and extra kunefe pieces. What I got instead: five strawberries and a cup literally covered in chocolate. See the photo. I tried again, not wanting to make a fuss and fix it myself, but it was truly inedible. I politely walked back and asked if she could remove the chocolate for me. Instead, I was given a spoon and a bowl to do it myself. How is it possible that I have to fix something myself when I'm paying for it? When I saw that there were hardly any strawberries in it and it was simply beyond repair, I asked for a new one. That wasn't possible either, which makes no sense, because normally, that's what you'd just get. You pay ten euros for a cup with chocolate and strawberries and end up with something you can throw away straight away. I've been a loyal customer, but they've really lost me with this, which is a shame. This whole thing feels like it was done on purpose.

What a delightful experience at Lawa Cafe in Amsterdam! I enjoyed a beautifully presented pavlova with fresh strawberries – a feast not only for the taste buds, but also for the eyes. The meringue was light and perfectly crispy on the outside, with a soft centre that melted in the mouth. The strawberries were juicy, fresh and generously present, finished with a subtle strawberry sauce that rounded it all off beautifully. The atmosphere in the cafe is stylish and modern

The people were arrogant. I wouldn't advise colored people to go there.

I went to this place today for their viral Dubai Chocolate cake, and it was absolutely worth it! 🤤 A really kind and attentive young lady helped me with my order. They offer both beautiful indoor seats and terrace seats where you can enjoy the beautiful sunny weather 🌞 Highly recommended! It seems like the Turkish staff run it, they are all very kind, and the baked goods cake they make in the cafe was delicious :) I highly recommend the Dubai Chocolate Cake 🍰 You can also check out the local market in the square right in front of the cafe~!

I went there today for that Dubai strawberry cup, they didn't have it. They didn't ask for another dessert either. In the end I went for the tiramisu, but I was disappointed. Also drank matcha strawberry but it was so bad!!! The worst matcha I have ever drunk, tasted so dirty liquid grass with a bitter taste, I recommend buying quality matcha powder best lawa!!

What the frick. We ordered red velvet cake, mango ice cream and strawberry ice cream. The red velvet cake consisted of 2 parts, a tub of butter and cake... this was definitely not red velvet cake, this was butter cake. The mango ice cream honestly tasted like it was expired. The thing that scares me is that it doesn't taste like mango, what's in it🤔 The strawberry ice cream was just strawberry ice cream, hence the two stars. DO NOT get your birthday cake HERE.

Ordered matcha strawberry when ordering it was very unclear and looked very dirty. When I sat down I was told that other customers wanted to sit there but I am also a customer so I have every right to sit too? They took the side of the other customers and started sledding over me. Very nasty atmosphere and very uncomfortable. Matcha tastes like ice tea, not matcha! Totally not worth the hype and your money! First and last time for me. It's not even worth 1 star.

Five of us ordered desserts from Serifoglu at LAWA, but the delivery time was excessively long. We had to wait about an hour for three waffles; Ultimately, I inquired with LAWA about the status of our order. Although the waffles themselves were not special, I give a two-star rating due to the excessive waiting time and the lack of ice cream ordered.

Nice place with a lot on offer, my daughter tasted the Dubai Cup here and it was delicious and at least not as ridiculously expensive as most 😀. Friendly staff and good coffee.

Bad service, desserts nothing special

Nice little ice cream shop, lots of choice and nice staff. We received half of our order and only half an hour later the rest after reminding us 3 times that they had forgotten us. I had the 3 leches cake with the dubai and strawberries. Tasty, but unfortunately it made me really sick. The other two ordered the other dessert (turret with 3 layers) and unfortunately it was not tasty and was not eaten. The ice creams were great, the kids really enjoyed them.

The Dubai strawberry supper is delicious! But the chocolate makes it a bit rich but still very tasty and it is highly recommended!

Never go here! What rudeness. My girlfriend and I stood in line and were not helped, people who were Turkish were helped immediately. Twice people were favored over us. This staff has no respect. Never nice to have to give only 1 star.. But as far as I'm concerned, Lawa is a mega overrated TikTok hype.. And let me not be all negative, because the concept is fun, like I get it.
