LAWA - Ice cream & Cafe in Slotermeer-Zuidwest

I went to this place today for their viral Dubai Chocolate cake, and it was absolutely worth it! 🤤 A really kind and attentive young lady helped me with my order. They offer both beautiful indoor seats and terrace seats where you can enjoy the beautiful sunny weather 🌞 Highly recommended! It seems like the Turkish staff run it, they are all very kind, and the baked goods cake they make in the cafe was delicious :) I highly recommend the Dubai Chocolate Cake 🍰 You can also check out the local market in the square right in front of the cafe~!

I went there today for that Dubai strawberry cup, they didn't have it. They didn't ask for another dessert either. In the end I went for the tiramisu, but I was disappointed. Also drank matcha strawberry but it was so bad!!! The worst matcha I have ever drunk, tasted so dirty liquid grass with a bitter taste, I recommend buying quality matcha powder best lawa!!

We were waiting to be seated. We were told there was room, but when other customers came in, they were allowed to sit. Then we were told there was no more room. Here hospitality a 1.

What the frick. We ordered red velvet cake, mango ice cream and strawberry ice cream. The red velvet cake consisted of 2 parts, a tub of butter and cake... this was definitely not red velvet cake, this was butter cake. The mango ice cream honestly tasted like it was expired. The thing that scares me is that it doesn't taste like mango, what's in it🤔 The strawberry ice cream was just strawberry ice cream, hence the two stars. DO NOT get your birthday cake HERE.

food is fine but service is very slow, in addition the staff hardly speaks Dutch or English, only Turkish. and a Dubai cup for €10 is definitely not worth it! chocolate hardens after just 5 minutes and strawberries are very small

Ordered matcha strawberry when ordering it was very unclear and looked very dirty. When I sat down I was told that other customers wanted to sit there but I am also a customer so I have every right to sit too? They took the side of the other customers and started sledding over me. Very nasty atmosphere and very uncomfortable. Matcha tastes like ice tea, not matcha! Totally not worth the hype and your money! First and last time for me. It's not even worth 1 star.

Five of us ordered desserts from Serifoglu at LAWA, but the delivery time was excessively long. We had to wait about an hour for three waffles; Ultimately, I inquired with LAWA about the status of our order. Although the waffles themselves were not special, I give a two-star rating due to the excessive waiting time and the lack of ice cream ordered.

Good selection of desserts and tasted great

Nice place with a lot on offer, my daughter tasted the Dubai Cup here and it was delicious and at least not as ridiculously expensive as most 😀. Friendly staff and good coffee.

Bad service, desserts nothing special

Nice little ice cream shop, lots of choice and nice staff. We received half of our order and only half an hour later the rest after reminding us 3 times that they had forgotten us. I had the 3 leches cake with the dubai and strawberries. Tasty, but unfortunately it made me really sick. The other two ordered the other dessert (turret with 3 layers) and unfortunately it was not tasty and was not eaten. The ice creams were great, the kids really enjoyed them.

The Dubai strawberry supper is delicious! But the chocolate makes it a bit rich but still very tasty and it is highly recommended!

Very slow to understand and slow to come to you to make your order

We went for the desserts and they did not disappoint! The San Sebastian Deluxe is highly recommended! Not too strong but still very tasty. Staff is also super friendly. We will definitely come back

Very nice atmosphere and nice employees. It is very inexpensive and beautifully presented. You have many options as to how you want your dish. The long opening hours are another plus point. It helped make our vacation perfect! Gladly again.

Never go here! What rudeness. My girlfriend and I stood in line and were not helped, people who were Turkish were helped immediately. Twice people were favored over us. This staff has no respect. We got dirty looks from the employees and left immediately. Better go somewhere else its not worth your money to get such service

Bad thing, super slow staff, they take 40 minutes to make a Dubai cup, which is ridiculous Put adult people behind the counter, instead of small children who take the work unseriously

Never nice to have to give only 1 star.. But as far as I'm concerned, Lawa is a mega overrated TikTok hype.. And let me not be all negative, because the concept is fun, like I get it. But the work process is anything but a well-oiled machine. I wish you the best of luck for now and hope that you can make other people happy with Lawa's offer🍰🍪☕️🫖🧁

We took a long drive for Lawa's treats, and it was totally worth it! The sweets were delicious, the service was top and smooth. We were helped by Busra and Tuba, who were super friendly and attentive! Thanks to their excellent service, we went home more than satisfied and we will definitely come back again!

They deliver orders very late and they are very expensive

It was always very tasty but less so lately. burnt waffle and way too much chocolate. Still my favorite for the rest

Not enough places and not great service

They do not accept credit cards and they do not have any sign or notice indicating it, we only found out when we were going to pay.

I come here often, but it's a pity that the times are messed up. We wanted to order a waffle at 00.08, it was no longer possible, okay, fine, 2 Turkish men came who were able to order a waffle from the lady 🤣 then we helped anyway, occasionally burned but always tasty strawberries

I recently ordered Strawberry kadayif crunchy cup, and it was a true taste explosion! The freshness of the strawberries combined with the rich, creamy chocolate and the crunchy kadayif was just perfect. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere in the salon is always pleasant. For those looking for a unique and tasty experience, Lawa is the place to go!

The wait was worth it because it was delicious. Service was friendly and everything came quite quickly once ordered. We arrived on a Wednesday around 1am and it was quite quiet. We did have to pay for the toppings that we had checked but did not receive. We didn't mind this (nor did we indicate it) but it is a point to pay attention to :) definitely worth repeating ♡

Children work there who do not know what good service is. And for a Dubai cup full of strawberries (so for me a strawberry cup) you pay €10! Waste of your money. Young employees are cheap, but they do need guidance from an experienced manager.

Update in response to the comment below: I saw the employee mixing sunflower oil with the callebaut while melting it, so what you say is not correct. Very bad, so called Dubai cup but it is just a bowl with strawberries and a miserly amount of Dubai filling for €10. And the chocolate in it hardens after a minute, making it unedible. I also had to wait half an hour for this bowl of strawberries..

The food, waffles, were very delicious and we liked the presentation very much. The ice cream was very good.

Walked in for the first time on Saturday evening. Very tight in terms of space and the tables were dirty and the chair/bench area was full of crumbs. The lady at the cash register seemed unfriendly and the other staff were quite rushed. Even when ordering a simple tea, an employee will come with a tea box so you can choose a flavor. I don't really know what to think of that 'concept'. The crêpes we took tasted good, but the topping was small. Unfortunately, the ice cream we had taken had something unpleasant in it. Nice to have tried, but Lawa is disappointing.

Asked several times if the loud music could be turned down, unfortunately they nodded yes, but the music is still loud. We come here as a group to have a nice chat and we can't even hear each other normally. This was not the case last time. It's a shame that it can differ per employee whether it will be a nice visit or not. Because of this I won't come next time.

We went as 4 friends and came from a long way and they surprised us very much. We asked for dessert and it came 35 minutes later. None of the people behind them have gloves. They take the strawberries with their hands and put them on the plate. Really give up, never go here.

The food tasted good, but unfortunately the experience was not pleasant. The space is small and cramped, and the service was very slow. We had to wait a long time. The waitress seemed unfriendly and disrespectful. What made it really annoying is that we paid double once. That really could have been better. I also ordered whipped cream but did not receive it and also indicated at the cash register that I had not received my whipped cream and unfortunately I still did not receive my whipped cream.

The food was tasty, but the space is small and very cramped. Unfortunately the employees are very slow; we had to wait a very long time for our food and even 20 minutes for a glass of water. In addition, the waitress was very unfriendly and spoke disrespectfully to us. To make matters worse, we paid twice once, so be careful when paying. Very disappointing!

Nice little cozy tent with many types of sweets. In the morning you often have room and you can sit and enjoy yourself. In the evening it is often busy and there is hardly any room. In the hustle and bustle it is also difficult to hear others. I recommend going in the morning, afternoon.

I come here every week and it's always delicious! Nice employees, much better than tatli.

Service was quite slow . Ate waffle with ice cream, ice cream was terrible and had a sour taste, I won't come here anymore. don't advise at all.

The place is generally nice. But the interior is stuffy and there is no playground or separate section for children, so it gets noisy.

I recently tasted a delicious cheesecake. The crispy crust and creamy filling were perfectly balanced, with a fresh hint of lemon. The fresh berries made it complete. Highly recommended for cheesecake lovers!
