Lazytiger in Wijk 00 Ermelo

We opted for the 4-course menu, not realizing that dessert wasn’t included. Maybe I misread or it wasn’t clear, but it felt a bit misleading. The experience actually started off well. The restaurant looks nice, we were greeted with a small taster dish, and they asked about our dietary needs, which seemed accommodating. The first two courses were great. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The third course—crispy chicken—was very minimal and tasted very similar to a fried item we’d already had in the second course. The main course (apparently the highlight) was even more disappointing, with yet another dish that tasted almost identical to the curry sauce from earlier. But the absolute worst item was the chicken teriyaki skewers. When we bit into them, we couldn’t even tell what meat it was—just fatty, chewy texture with no real meat at all. To make matters worse, they were cold, so the whole thing tasted like snotty leftovers. The service didn’t help either. Empty glasses piled up on our table, water glasses were given but never filled, and drinks were pricey (around €8 for a “fancy” lemonade with frozen mango). Wait times between courses felt strange too—long gaps, even when one course was just fried chicken. When we tried to share our dissatisfaction with the waitress, she didn’t seem bothered and just brought us the bill. It wasn’t even that busy; they mentioned reservations, but the place never really filled up. It left us wondering if they were short-staffed, inexperienced, or simply uninterested. It’s a pity, because the first impression was good, and the restaurant itself looks appealing. But overall, the food repetition, poor execution, and lack of care in service made this a disappointing experience.

We had a wonderful meal here! The beautiful garden outside is the perfect place to unwind. Enjoy a delicious cocktail or glass of wine, and a delicious Thai meal.

Great service, food came quickly despite the crowd. Great atmosphere. The food wasn't amazing, but it was still very good. About €95 for two; we didn't have any alcoholic drinks.

The ambiance and taste are superb! Authentic cuisine, some of it a bit spicy. No boring Asian dishes, cooked in a European style. The service is attentive and friendly. Sitting outside is wonderful!

Very nice location that actually gets too little credit. We visit many restaurants and this is one that we have visited several times. The food is tasty and varied. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service is as you would expect from good catering. The Japanese garden completes it, unfortunately we have not been able to use it yet because of the weather, but the atmosphere alone is fantastic.

We went to dinner with family and friends and had a good time. The place had a nice atmosphere and with a good and friendly staff and some nice loungy upbeat music on the background. The food was tastefully great we have had various plates and have a good impression, certainly a place to keep in our favourites and to visit more times in the future. The view on the pond was beautiful, would be a great terras to visit during summer.

Great place! Easy to park in front of the door. They recently started having lunch. Also recommended. Beautiful terrace with koi carp. Nice seats in the oriental garden. It also looks very good inside. Service was very friendly. The cocktails are very tasty. And the food was very tasty! Really recommended!

It was not to our taste, hence three stars. We often and enjoy eating out and don't look at the price first. Restaurant looks good and cozy. And friendly service. To be honest, I thought the price was disproportionate and certainly not worth it for what the food was. The long wait between dishes was also not great. In my opinion, the price-quality ratio is really exaggerated.

Jammer! Na 2,5 uur dus hele lange pauzes kwam pas het hoofdgerecht van het menu. En tot 2x toe een gerecht vergeten van dezelfde persoon. Ook helemaal geen begrip dat dat niet okay is was denk ik wel de grootste teleurstelling. (De borden zijn pas net uitgehaald?) Eten was goed, op de met haast gemaakte gerechten na. We eten hier vaker, weet niet of we weer gaan. De bediening is zeker vriendelijk maar erg jong misschien is dat de reden. We waren ook niet de enigen die lang moesten wachten zagen we ons heen. Kan gebeuren maar neem actie op welke manier dan ook.

Had a great long evening yesterday with the Tiger's Tasting Experience menu! Delicious dishes with good wines, great service in a nice cozy atmosphere, highly recommended! Maybe a bit pricey but worth it.

What a great restaurant and great service. After all the negative reports about the tug-of-war with the municipality, I gave it a try and what a pleasant surprise! Reception, decor, atmosphere, all very good. Very important and often underestimated, the timing of service and kitchen, spot on. The dishes are delicious and well portioned. The wine we chose, Ante Cime, very unknown, is delicious. Come on Ermelo and surroundings. Give them your business. Truly one of the best restaurants in the area.

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere. Staff was friendly and the chef deserves 5 stars for all the delicious food we were served.

The food itself was quite tasty. Just a pity that the cleaning had not been done properly (the circles of glasses were still on the table, there was half a crushed cherry tomato under the table and the black menus were covered in grease stains and fingerprints from previous visitors) And a glass of wine for over 6 euros is a lot if the glass is not even half full, 2 big sips and the glass was empty, so I had to limit it to 1 glass. Not very motivated to eat there again, despite the excellent acoustics.

Went had dinner at Lazytiger recently. The place looks awesome and gives a really good atmosphere. Especially outside it almost looks like a Japanese Koi garden. The food was also really tasty. Just 4 stars for the food because I missed a traditional Thai taste. I don't want to take away from the chef. The food was prepared incredibly well but if you have been to Asian countries or Thailand in Generell it's more like an modern interpretation of it. The staff was nice but it felt a little cold and almost a little bothered by us, almost like we weren't the kind of costumers they wish for. Still would recommend the restaurant

Voor de eerste keer hier gegeten en zeker niet voor de laatste keer. Het was genieten van het 4 gangen verrassings menu van de chef. Als extra voorafje 3 oesters op verschillende wijze bereid. Wat een mooie start👌

Tasty dishes, good service, people with passion

Hele mooie zaak, zowel van buiten als van binnen. Bediening die begrijpt hoe het werkt. We zijn regelmatige Azië reizigers en moet gezegd dat de gerechten echt goed waren. Smaak week af van het authentieke dat we gewend waren maar smaakten top. Week iets af en minder pikant dan normaal, maar zeker herkenbaar. Absoluut een aanrader 👌🏼

No knowledge from the staff about the food and wine which was a pitty because would have helped a lot in enjoying the dining. attentive and very kind staff. The were open for feedback. Bit weird that the menu was in english for a foreign menu.

We were with a larger group, had made a reservation shortly in advance, which wasn't a problem and we were completely satisfied with everything :-)

We came here purely because it was very close to where we were staying, but what a nice surprise! We opted for the (3-course) tasting menu, both without meat. We get two different dishes to share each time, so 6 samples in total. With the exception of the green curry with prawns, the dishes were anything but what you would expect in a (Dutch) Thai/Asian restaurant. Lots of special flavors and ingredients - clearly made with passion. Atmosphere is also nice, with good acoustics, and service also top. Highly recommended.

What a gem in Ermelo. The food here is delicious. If you choose the 4/5 course menu you really get a taste sensation. The staff are very friendly and explain each dish well.

Geweldig. Gezellig. Verse groenten. Echt de smaak van Thailand. Bediening is vriendelijk en bij al de gerechten krijg je uitleg over de gebruikte producten. Is alleen niet goedkoop maar zeker de moeite waard.

Ordered take away food here yesterday evening. Eventhough the restaurant looks very cosy and the staff was polite and friendly the food was terrible. The beef was chewy and fatty, the pad Thai was sloppy and, like the other meals, was lacking the authentic flavours you are looking for when ordering Thai. This is not the quality you expect from a Thai restaurant in the Netherlands.

Voor het eerst geweest en heel erg lekker gegeten in een mooi ingericht en sfeervol restaurant!! Beef Teriyaki is een echte aanrader, net als de scallops. Het enige wat we jammer vonden is dat er geen enkel tonijn gerechtje a la carte te bestellen is.

Nice atmosphere, looks real classy and Thai at the same time. Super good service, very friendly people, all of them. Always stayed friendly, even when I said the fried rice was cold, which was kind of a disappointment. It seemed like the fried rice had been prepared beforehand and was warmed up in some way, but it definitely was not as warm and fresh (moisty that is, it was a bit dry) as when it would have been straight out of the pan. The rest of the food was not completely authentic, which is ok, if it had been better. The yakitori and fried ebi seemed to have been purchased from the store, instead of being hand made. The chicken cashew was too sweet (it's not even supposed to have sweet sauce). In all, the quality was not bad perse, and the prices were ok, but for the same price I would have expected a bit more authenticity. I had rather paid even more for better quality.

Wat hebben wij hier heerlijk gegeten. Wat een super tent. Mooie tuin, mooi restaurant. Keuken is echt top, bediening is super, aardig en behulpzaam. Wat er op geserveerd word, word allemaal uitgelegt. En ik kan jullie vertellen, dat is divers en bijzonder en syper mooi opgemaakt. Smaken passen mooi in elkaar. We gingen voor thais eten, maar we hebben gegeten als royalty's. Mensen ga hier heen. Je smaakpapillen zullen verwent worden. Wij zijn er enthousiast over dit restaurant.

Wat jammer dat we niet uit deze regio komen, want dan zouden we de Lazytiger zeker regelmatig bezoeken! We hebben heerlijk gegeten (verassingsmenu sharing). Alles vers, mooie smaken die goed op elkaar zijn afgestemd . Het verrassingsmenu (wij hadden 4 gangen) is perfect om allerlei verschillende en uiteenlopende gerechten te proeven. Wat ons betreft een topper en een absolute aanrader! Alle lof voor de kok en ook voor de keurige en kundige bediening die zeer servicegericht is. Ga zo door Lazytiger! En als we weer in de buurt zijn, komen we zeker weer langs!

Lazy Tiger is de grootste liefde van mijn ouders. We gingen daarom voor mijn moeder haar verjaardag (15 Juni) naar Lazy Tiger. Onze pup was toen 3 maanden oud, dus konden we hem niet alleen thuis laten. Dit was bij Lazy Tiger geen probleem. We kregen een zit plek waar Cooper rustig kon liggen en hij heeft zich netjes gehouden tijdens ons etentje. Het eten krijgt van mij 4 sterren. De smaak ik heerlijk maar... Ik heb meerdere allergieën die ik duidelijk door had gegeven. Toch zat er een verdwaald stuk wortel in mijn eten. Ik ben er gelukkig niet "ziek" van geworden en heb mijn epipen niet hoeven te gebruiken. Toch zorgt dit wel voor enige argwaan de volgende keer als ik bij Lazy Tiger ga eten.

Geslaagd! Alle puntjes op de i, alle gerechten waren met zorg bereid en hier eet je niet voor het eten maar voor de complete experience. Echt wauw, alles smaakte goed en de service was on point! Ik kom hier graag nog eens terug👌

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend alles stimmte , Personal sehr zuvor kommt und nett, Essen sehr gut und ein tolles Ambiente. Da geht man gerne wieder hin .
