Simply a fantastic experience: a cozy atmosphere, friendly, professional, and cheerful staff, and, last but not least, delicious food and drinks. Probably the best restaurant in Ermelo and the surrounding area.

The food here is truly delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed all the small dishes we shared. The staff is friendly, and the plates are always clean. Highly recommended.

Went there yesterday for dinner. We went 2 years ago and were more than happy with the food. This time was a different story. No dish was salted or peppered, which meant that everything had little taste. The fries were also not salted and the loaded fries cannot be called loaded. Poor sauce and poor cheese. The wait between courses is also long while someone often walks by, but there seems to be no system in it, also because you are often helped by several waitresses (who are visibly working hard). For us at least the last time.

Unfortunately, this time the experience was far from good. I had specially invited a foreign friend to have a good experience, but we left the place disappointed. We were a group of four and ordered the "Chef choice". To my surprise, the chef choice is a set menu with several dishes that we had a few weeks ago. But that was not the worst. The waiting time between rounds was extremely long. It was Wednesday, I can't imagine this on the weekend. After waiting for at least 30 minutes and asking the girls from the restaurant for an explanation (twice!), they came with a round of dishes that we had already had in the previous round. They told us that there was a mistake in the order. In short, a total disappointment. I hope the management reads this review.

Wij werden uitgenodigd voor een diner bij van Sprang Ermelo. Al het eten smaakte heerlijk de medewerkers waren erg vriendelijk en vlug in de bediening waarbij ook even de tijd was om rustig de volgende gang uit te zoeken. De keuze is zeer ruim er is voor ieder wel wat. Voor een avond compleet reken op €60 pp. Zeker waard !

Plek om nooit meer te komen. Het begon al met n gevraagde 'rustige' plek ivm overprikkeling wat ze niet serieus namen. Geen empathie, ook niet voor de rioollucht, daarna je op n plek naast een muziek box wil neerzetten. Eten was een en al olie/vet, heb maar een paar gerechten gegeten die qua smaak wel gingen. Maw bediening en gerechten zat niks bij alleen van ,tis mn werk dus ik doe maar' helaas. En dat voor die prijs en waar je je drinken en dessert nog apart erbij moet betalen.

Really immensely expensive, I have never eaten so much for the most below average food ever. We couldn't finish the dessert and asked for a simple solution such as a box (even if it was made of cardboard) so we could take it with us, but "we don't do that here". And have the nerve to charge €130... nothing good to say about it and will never come back here.

Food was very tasty and of good quality. The idea of ​​sharing food is also very nice. The service was just dramatic. The waitresses were nice and polite, but everything took a very long time. After finishing a round, 25 minutes later we asked if we could order something else. 15 minutes later someone came to serve drinks. Then it took another 20 minutes before we could order the next course. Waited a total of 1 hour between 2 rounds of tapas snacks, which is a shame.

A busy restaurant with a nice concept of dishes that you can share. Not cheap. Young people in the service and very friendly. It is busy inside with many tables close together so a lot of noise and it was boiling hot inside despite it being March, that was less. Restaurant also has dark places inside. If you are sitting in the conservatory then that is not the case. It is nice that you can just stay seated as long as you want. That is different these days in many restaurants with a similar concept.

Some dishes were just missing a little salt and it's a shame that you can't add it yourself. The pumpkin soup was not that tasty, the pumpkin had flown over it. Staff were quick to deliver food and drinks even though it was very busy. In general, it is definitely recommended to eat here. Personally, I wouldn't go here that often as you can eat all the dishes in one go

We live in Tilburg and accidentally ended up at Van Sprang during a weekend away. Van Sprang has been our favorite restaurant ever since. Been 3 times now and great every time. Too bad it's so far away 😁

Last weekend I had the experience with Van Sprang for the first time. After many recommendations, we decided to take a look. Had a wonderful evening! Arrived a bit earlier than planned which was no problem at all. After some explanation about the concept, we were surprised all evening. One dish even tastier than the other. Especially as a couple together it is a fun experience, exchanging plates, trying things, and choosing something different. Really enjoyed it, then a dessert tasting which was a bit too much for us but also oh so tasty. Definitely worth repeating! Oh yes, respect for the ladies who go around with all the etagères and plates!

Eten bij Van Sprang is iedere keer weer een feestje. Heerlijke gerechten van goede kwaliteit, vriendelijk en kundig personeel en een gezellige ambiance. Kers op de taart: de bastogne parfait! Een echte aanrader!

Interesting concept, kind of all you can eat, meets fine dining. Not good for people with choice stress. I think this also works well for friends and couples, but sharing dishes is a bit unusual for the business world. But of course that is not necessary. The food was good to very good, without being really surprising. However, I have never been a fan of add-on concepts. Desserts separate price or an extra menu for seasonal products outside the normal menu. The service was very good. It seemed very busy, but we still received our food quickly and the service was polite but relaxed. We were close to the entrance so that may have given a distorted picture. But the atmosphere was a bit too much towards the all you can eat for my taste.

Leuk om ook is gerechtjes te proberen, wat je anders niet zo snel zou kiezen. Heerlijk gegeten. Gezellige sfeer en vriendelijk personeel. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Had a delicious meal last Wednesday! The restaurant has an attractive interior and upon entering we are warmly welcomed with an appetizer and fresh bread. Gezellig restaurant, Vriendelijk en gemotiveerd personeel, lekker eten, kleine maar wel lekkere verrassende gerechtjes. Dit is echt een aanrader om te bezoeken. Klein minpuntje: kalfsvlees was niet goed gaar. Pluspunten: vrijwel alle overige gerechtjes goed van smaak en structuur.

Delicious food in a beautiful, atmospheric restaurant. A small downside was that we had to wait outside for almost half an hour because the door was not yet open. While they were supposed to be open.

Al een tijd naar uitgekeken en nu eindelijk tijd gevonden om er te gaan eten. Binnenkomst was goed, sfeervol interieur. Start van het diner ook, heerlijke amuse en de 1e ronde (2 gerechten) waren ook top. Maar toen werd het per gang/ronde steeds minder. De smaken werden vlak, de warme gerechten waren lauw tot koud. En de dubbele espresso is gewoon een koffie en dan ook niet echt fantastisch. Nee niet wat wij hoopten...dan eten wij met zijn tweeën ergens anders voor 170 euro een stuk beter.

Had a delicious meal from a wide choice

We had dinner here for my birthday. After finding this restaurant online and driving more than half an hour to get there because of the good reviews, we were still disappointed. Upon arrival, the staff was already visibly irritated because we arrived at the last minute with 2 fewer people due to force majeure. So strange reception. We were given an appetizer while our mouths were still dry and we were only asked to drink much later. For a restaurant with such positive reviews, the food was really disappointing. The ready-made is fine, but we skipped most of the meat dishes. We were there for 2.5 hours, during which time it took us 10 minutes after our first drink, which was included in the explanation, to order our second drink, because this had not yet been requested after an hour and 2 courses. At one point staff came by to take drinks and skipped us as the only ones in the queue, after 10 minutes of lots of waving and eye contact or an attempt to order our drink. You always have to wait and see when you try a new restaurant, we don't understand why this restaurant is so well regarded. A real disappointment, both the food and the service, and certainly not to mention the cocktails. Overall disappointed.

Een heerlijke avond gehad bij Van Sprang, we hadden een mooie ronde tafel gekregen na een prettige ontvangst. Daarna lekker snel een amuse op tafel en vlak daarna het drinken. De amuse was heerlijk, een krokante gyosa en een lekkere paprikasoep. Daarna meerdere rondes besteld, alles was heerlijk. Een heel leuk concept, ik kom zeker vaker.

The service was extremely nice, hospitable and smooth. The terrace was covered and a rain shower did not bother us. This restaurant is highly recommended Personally, I don't like it if it isn't a starter, main course and dessert. But we really liked this form of shared dining.

Had dinner here tonight to celebrate the birthday of my nephew who turned 13, and he wanted to eat here because he enjoyed it so much last time. And yes it was fun and tasty too. Not that all dishes excelled in taste, but the ingredients were excellent and so was the cooking. We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed it. If you like relaxed long dining and a lot of variety in small dishes, then you've come to the right place. In addition to the regular menu, there was a card with specials from which I could choose from many game products such as deer.

We aten met twee gasten bij restaurant Van Sprang in Ermelo. Het restaurant hanteert een bijzonder concept, dat zijn leuke kanten heeft. Voor € 39,50 mag je net zoveel gerechten uit de voorgerechten en hoofdgerechten kiezen als je wilt. Die werden op een etagère geserveerd, zodat allen aan tafel van alle gerechten wat kunnen proeven. Bij sommige gerechten is dat overigens makkelijker dan bij andere; garnalenkroketjes zijn makkelijker te verdelen dan een schotel met carpaccio. De voor- en hoofdgerechten waren volgens de menukaart qua grootte vergelijkbaar met tussengerechten. We bestelden elk één gerecht uit elk van de twee gangen, hetgeen met wat frietjes en aardappelkroketjes meer dan genoeg was. Zo beschouwd is bijna € 40 voor maar twee gangen (weliswaar met twee amuses en brood) tamelijk aan de prijs. Wellicht eten jongeren meer, maar ouderen dus niet. De gerechten smaakten goed en kwamen uit alle windstreken, wat leuk is. Het was echter zeker geen fine dining. Opvallend was dat er maar heel weinig groente op de bordjes komt (in onze 8 gerechten helemaal niets). Misschien hebben we het over het hoofd gezien maar een salade on-the-side hebben we niet zien staan op de kaart. Zou wel een aanrader zijn. De dessertproeverij, waarbij een keuze uit de verschillende desserts wordt geserveerd, was een enorm dessert voor een vriendelijke prijs (€ 9). De bediening was vlot, ondanks dat het grote terras op deze prachtige zomeravond helemaal vol zat. Ook kregen we steeds snel antwoord op onze vragen rondom allergieën. Kortom: een leuke avond gehad, mede dankzij het concept, maar de prijs/prestatieverhouding van de voor- en hoofdgerechten viel een beetje tegen.

Met 8 vrienden en vriendinnen een heerlijke avond doorgebracht bij Restaurant van Sprang in Ermelo. Uitstekend keuken met een bijzonder concept. Per persoon steeds de mogelijkheid om uit een grote diversiteit van smakelijke en originele gerechten te kiezen. Smaakvol opgediend: veel zorg aan besteed. Compliment aan de keuken. Onze tafelbediening had erg schik in. Vrolijke en attente jongelui voor wie niks teveel is. Wat een harde werkers! Respect!
